Re: An Ancient Compact (Farren, Gargantuablarg, Copper)
Keti was surprised to see the cat-like creature emerge from the crowd after he'd stated their second assailant had had dark hair. What were they called... Nekomata? He wasn't quite sure... he'd had little to do with the outside world, after all.
The Nekomata's comment on how so many of the crowd were dark-haired set Keti's mind to work... what else had he seen of the second elf? He tried to remember what color his clothes were, and if he was armed as well... anything that could help him identify him. He was so consumed in his thoughts, he couldn't form a proper response to the cat-man.
He'd hoped the elves would deliver the second culprit as well... but Keti supposed that had been too optimistic. Apparently, the one that had shot at him had taken his time running back, arriving back into the village only seconds before them, and his friend had mysteriously disappeared. Hmph. They were probably twisting the truth to soothe their egos, acting as if they could do no wrong, Keti thought, as the mobs leader bade them leave.
When the Nekomata spoke again, though, Keti snapped out of it, and grabbed Nae's arm, looking her in the eyes, with one eyebrow raised. They knew nearly nothing about this assailant... but ... what should they do? If they didn't find him, retribution would be ... bad.
