The stars aren't right!(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The mammoth ignores Strike hanging from the roof and keeps following Helena all the way to the crossroads. *Don't lead it here, I think this is a dead-end.*

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena curses at turns again, throwing 2 more ice spears at the creature since help was apparently not happening.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

H 6 vs 13 | 21 vs 19
M 10 vs 16

Helena: 3/6 MP 2/4
Mammoth: 8/15
Another spear pierces the mammoth's skin and though its head is bloody, it shows not signs of slowing down.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena keeps up the attack, tossing two more, she doubted she could win this but damnit, she was gonna try.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

H 8 vs 22 | 22 vs 8
M 22 vs 17

Helena: 2/6 MP 1/4
Mammoth: 7/15
Though the blood seeping into its eyes no doubt makes things more difficult for it, it still manages to send Helena stumbling backwards again, inevitably following her. Helena can feel a draft coming from outside on her back.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena feels the draft after reeling from another blow and jumps backwards, not knowing what it was or how far she had run, maybe it was the tunnel entrance, maybe it was a gateway into the pits of the abyss, it was less threatening then the mammoth regardless...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

As Helena turns she can see the tunnel curving with the pit just ahead of her and as she glides forwards, the mammoth falls into the pit with a loud rumble.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena blinks a few times, wondering what just happened before realising the giant fuzzy elephant fell down into the ant pit... Well, guess the ants were gonna be eating well... Laughing loudly and hardly believing her luck Helena makes her way back towards the chamber where the thing was lurking, again moving carefully. First a giant slime, then ants, then a mammoth... This place was crazy...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The tunnel continues beyond the mist machine, sloping upwards.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena takes a breather for a minute before continuing up the tunnel, wondering what a Mammoth of all things would be guarding, that had been the first thing she was certain she couldn't handle and it had her a little shaken. Regardless she kept moving forward...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

As Helena continues forwards, she starts seeing sunlight ahead. Suddenly she can see a strange creature ahead. It's vaguely humanoid with a yellowish purple fur and strange looking wings on its back. It's holding a some sort of alien device in its hands, pointed at Helena.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena stops dead in her tracks and raises her hands. "Wait!.. Wait... Just exploring, I'm a scientist..."

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The creature stares at Helena for a moment, then sighs and lowers the device, gesturing Helena to follow.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena blinks a few times, REALLY surprised that worked and follows curiously, studying every aspect of the creature as it moved. This was incredible...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

As the creature enters direct sunlight, it's fur turns white and the wings press against its back. The place doesn't look much, only a single round room with a crystalline roof that lets sunlight through. There's a table, a bed of some sorts and a bunch of devices hooked into a computer similar to the once Helena saw before. There's also a stove the Mi-go heads towards, putting the device on a table as it picks up a pot of some sort and pours hot liquid into two cups.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena looks around at everything wide eyed, hardly believing her luck but not wanting to tell the others right away, she didn't want to spook him... her.... It. Seeing it pour liquid into two cups, not one, she holds out her hand assuming the second is for her.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The Mi-go hands her a cup and sits down next to the table. The liquid appears suspiciously like tea with yak-butter. It then looks at Helena expectantly.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena sits cross legged on the floor in one motion and sips at the drink, wondering how she was supposed to talk to this thing, it obviously understood her, but it didn't seem to work both ways at the moment...

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

After a while the Mi-go gets up and heads back to the stove, pulling a baking tray out and filling a plate with cookies before putting it on the table.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena takes a cookie and then has an idea, being far more careful then she had ever been before she reached out to the creatures mind. She didn't even know if it was possible but if it worked then it would be a great start...
