Jasmine looks at the wolf and narrows her eyes. "I think...it's being controlled. I can guess why that morningstar is covered in silver..."

"You thinking Lycanthropy?" Helena asks quietly, tightening her grip on the morningstar. "If that's true then this could really start to suck..."

Helena was worried by the possibility and running through all the legends from her world, bites, silver, transformations... It was enough to send a chill down her spine as she kept an eye on the wolf.

"I think they wont attack before sunset. I think I'll fly around for a bit, see if I can find the werewolf."

"Alright, if that's the case, I'll pick up the pace a bit. May very well be sleeping in a tree again..." Saying this, Helena picked up a loping jog with a long stride, guaranteed to speed her up and not tire her out too quickly.

Strike does her best to follow the Helena, but she clearly couldn't keep the pace for very long. Jasmine's wings appear and she floats over the tree tops before flying away. The wolf keeps watching Helena, matching her pace easily.

Noticing the spider's trouble with following, Helena paced down a bit, it wouldn't do to leave her friend behind. Keeping an eye on the wolf, she kept her grip on the weapon. Regardless of what Jasmine thought about night and day, according to the blacksmith, what they had encountered with the rats was not only rare, but strange, and she wouldn't put it past anything here to act based on assumptions...

After about half an hour Jasmine contacts Helena. *I think I've found the werewolf. The problem is, it's with a bunch of others who are now following me. I'll try to take care of them, see you in the evening.*

*Be careful! You have any idea how utterly screwed I am without you!?* It was a true statement. As the sun began to set, she would make a beeline for the nearest tree and refuse to move, much like her first hellish night here...

After several more hours of jogging, Helena is starting to feel tired as well as hungry, and the sun is still high in the sky. Finally Jasmine appears, looking tired as well as she lands near Helena. "I think I got rid of them."

Helena stops as Jasmine rejoins her. "well here's to hoping. I need a breather and something to eat..." Sitting down and popping off her pack, she rummages around in it for something quick and basic, catching her breath at the same time.

Most of the food seems to be in the form of sandwiches, though there's meat and turnips for two real meals as well. Jasmine grabs a sandwich as well, looking directly at the wolf as she starts eating. The wolf bares its teeth before lurking away.

Helena watches the wolf wander off after snarling and eats her sandwich. She was probably gonna have to keep things to a nice and manageable pace considering how far they had to travel. She could run, but not for 2 solid days. "Much as I hate to say it, we need to keep moving, how hard were the werewolves to get rid of?"

Jasmine smiles. "I managed to get them fighting each other. They shouldn't cause any more problems for us today, at least. Do you think we can get much further today?"

"I can keep going, But I don't think we should stop until we absolutely have to, I don't want to be out here any longer then necessary." Helena had every intention of traveling until dusk began to fall, knowing the more miles they put behind them, the closer to safety they were....

First hour: 17+0=17, 4+3=7, Jasmine takes 2 points of non-lethal damage and is fatigued.

Helena's already aching feet get worse as more time passes, and an hour later she's starting to get quite tired. Jasmine looks even worse, but she still keeps walking without a complaint.

"How are you holding up Jasmine? If you need a break tell me, hell knows my dogs are barking" Part of Helena would have loved to stop, and part of her remembered there was all manner of nightmares in this place and would walk until she collapsed...

Taking another hard look at Jasmine and realizing how tired she was getting, she plopped down on the side of the road. "I think a breather may be in order..."

"I can keep going for a while longer, at least." Despite her words, Jasmine looks relieved as Helena drops down on the tall grass, sitting besides her. "Do you think Strike will catch up with us?"

"I slowed down for her earlier, she has trouble keeping up with all those legs" Helena says looking worried. Leaning back on the grass, she catches her breath and looks up at the sky.

"She probably didn't need to walk very far before meeting you." The sky is incredibly deep shade of blue, and Helena can see the sun getting closer to the horizon as the heat of the afternoon starts gradually dying away to be replaced with the refreshing coolness of the summer night.

Helena takes a minute to just admire the sky before noting the sun. "Night's falling, TO THE TREES!" Bouncing up, Helena scrambles up the nearest tree, feeling like a squirrel... *Strike sweetheart, Catch up when you can, please be careful*
