Hi guy, anyone can tell me what's the advantage using pirate? When I do some math, damage of sniper in 1 sec is almost x2 than captain's. So the only advantage is range(>40)? And 1 more question, archer or witch is better for gargoyle?
Range, projectile speed, and damage. Say sniper does 400, Captain does 600. Enemy has 400 defense. Sniper will do 40 chip-damage, captain will do 200 damage.
Also, Captain's hit is instant, while sniper's arrow has time before hitting.
Sniper for blue and black. Witch for Red Gargoyle (due to high defense for red gargole)

Pirates lose dps over archers on most mobs to have more pierce damage against armored units. Comparing silvers:
Daniela:
Attack: 367
Attack with Prince buff: 436.73
Pirate Giovanni:
Attack: 465
Attack with Prince buff: 553.35
If an enemy has 450 defense, Daniela will do 44 damage a shot to it, while Giovanni will do 103.35 for example (x2.35) As the rarity/skill level goes up, it's even more evident.
Edit:
Daniela dps: 41.272
Giovanni dps: 43.09695
Pirate Monica (Before awakening):
Attack: 551
Attack with Prince buff: 655.69
With skill: 1180.242
Steel bow Claire (Before awakening):
Attack: 398
Attack with Prince buff: 473.62
With skill: 852.516
Again let's say the enemy has 900 defense, it'd be 280 vs 85 damage a shot (x3.29).
As an example of how it actually functions instead of just theory: Silver/gold archers can't usually kill red gargoyles without attack strengthening active, but Pirates can. If you check the dps, it's closer than it should be though, really it's their range that helps them the most it seems. Dps isn't the best method of determining if a unit is better or worse in Aegis, but that is interesting (Made an edit above).
I kind of feel like Pirates might need a buff now, especially since they don't get a class awakening bonus. Well you can always say that they have range + hp and defense over archers, I guess
I just noticed how easy it is to make CC'd silvers for AW fodder with all the samurai and Christophers from last event. Feeding a level 13 male to another with 3 fairies = level 29 with 210 exp till next level.
I took 27 copies of Chloe to max her skill.
I think I got lucky only needing 27 copies.
Good luck at maxxing her skill. But skill up tends to be cruel if you do it afterwards rather than during the event.
Hence, please be mentally prepared.

I've seen enough people get by with a plain ol' Katie, so a -1 cost reduced Aria should be good enough. I don't have enough spare sacred crystals at the moment to mentally commit myself to getting a -2 cost Aria. The trauma from failing to reduce Iris and Berenice down to -2 with their 2nd copies, failing to reduce Shiho down to -2 with 4 extra copies, and failing to reduce Lord Witch Calliope down to -2 with 4-5 copies is still fresh in my mind.
Let's say there's a 40% of getting a unit cost reduced from -1 to -2. 2 copies means I have a 64% chance of getting her reduced to -2. 4 copies means I have a 87% chance of getting her down to -2, which is respectable. However, I'll still need more than that since it would suck to get that many copies and still fail to cost reduce her due to that 13% chance. I got the 6.25% (according to 80 trips) platinum armour drop from the 50/3 Demon Invader map on my first visit, so a 1 out of 7.69 chance isn't out of the question. Simply put, I would have to commit myself to the idea of shelling out at least 30+ sacred crystals. I don't have that many right now, so I'm going to go for a -1 cost reduction unless there's a new DMM campaign that gives out a unit present within the next couple weeks, or something.
And so it continues~ Goodluck everybody on the 2nd weekend of dragon crystals. Now we have plenty of spare time and don't have to worry about a farm event, yippy. Please let there be more silver valk drops.
Are you running the last mission for DCs? I do the next to last one and I am getting 15 on average so far (14 one set, 16 the next set). As it stands. I will need to use two sacred crystals if my average holds up to buy the lizard guy. Now, that's not counting if there is a way to get a time fairy, which if there isn't I'm going to be pissed that I wasted sacred crystals to begin with.

Per set of stamina. From max to 0 I consider a set, which is usually four runs of a mission. I have two reasons why I don't do the last missions. More micro management, and I still need soldiers from the next to last mission.

Well goodluck, if the soldier drop rate there is anything like the valk drop rate on the final map, you'll need it (1/17 so far...). Apparently every map in the Dragonnewt event has a 7% drop for the silvers, so that's about right so far.
I'm probably around 15%. I got two drops in the last set, but 0 this morning. I couldn't remember last week, but I used several to CC some units. I get more of them then the bronze unit drop that is for sure. I've gotten maybe 3 diamons period, none this weekend yet.

This is what the revival campaign page says:
"封印されしドラニアは竜姫アーニャ入手の鍵となるユニットのでぜひ手に入れてください。"
(The Sealed Drania is a key unit to obtaining the Dragon Princess Anya, so obtain Drania by all means.)
This makes it pretty clear that they intend for newer players to get Drania now, and then get the other key items later. However, the Time Fairy gives a 100% guaranteed cost reduction. So, they're either going to make it extremely expensive to milk players with little to no frugality, or a one-time deal.

Let's hope for the 1 time. A free market of time fairies would put rich users waaaaaaay ahead of the average. Take a broken Nanally, awaken her, max cost reduce her and u pretty much own the game....
I can't imagine the time fairies will be with dragon crystals, but who knows. I think it'd be kind of a crumby move, making this event cost so many damn crystals when she wasn't too difficult to obtain with a proper team back then. I hope they add on to the Dragon Princess Revival event instead and make her a completion reward, or just reset the maps or something. We would all rather farm dragon crystals for the delicious silver dragon unit with attack strengthening 3/4 after all.
After counting, it actually takes 4 shots for a 456atk Sorano to take out all the red gargoyles - I think the timing is a bit too tight to rely on (got it once out of 3 times).
