At least this time she didn't actually move toward the thing on purpose...

Jenn once more goes all ninja on the tentacles binding Ritter, aggressively attacking with her rapier.

Her blade cuts Ritter free once more, stunning the tentacles, while the pink one begins to act strangely...

Jenn considers her next move carefully but quickly.

I don't like the look of that pink tentacle... and while I seem to be doing pretty well cutting Ritter free, it might be game over if I'm caught myself. But damn it, I can't just leave her to that thing's whims.

"Doctor, run back as fast as you can... I'll try to keep it from catching you again."

Jenn assumes a defensive stance and steps in front of Ritter, intending to keep herself and her blade between the beast and the Doctor then back away, cutting anything that tried to get to her or past her. Being so... gallant... offends her sense of self preservation, but she doesn't see any other way out without giving up on Ritter.

The doctor nods at Jenn and tries to scramble away from the tentacle beast.

As Ritter escapes, Jenn stays behind to slash away at the tentacles attempting to grab her, until she herself runs away, catching up with Ritter eventually, as they leave the tentacles behind.

A quick observation notes that it's going to be dark soon...

"Hmm, yes. I have heard that the nocturnal creatures are an entirely different story. . ." Dr. Ritter's voice sounds very much interested in finding out just how different. But she is not going to risk her own life for that.

Ritter and Jenn quickly find their way back to the hotel, the guard at the door welcomes them back, relieved to see them back before nightfall.
