Re: Magic Knight Arisa
Why should we choose, we can do both, especially if machine translations do not fly for this game.
Looking at the post below, it seems the machine translation crowd doesn't have much to worry about.
Well I won with machine translations, just have to try to pick out the words carefully.
I seen one person in the bar say that the shield she uses activates on strong magic blocking it, so you should you rudimentary (weak) magic.
Another said that when she reveals her penis it creates a small hole in the shield, so you wont be able to do anything before that point.
The last important clue I found was that her powerful shield is run by water, so overloading the system with more water will make the shield fail.
I don't know if you have to talk to the people in the bar or not, but all I did was cast the lowest power water spell every turn and the time I did it after the scene where she reveals her penis was the time that it instantly killed her.
Wonder if that was a long enough rant on a game with very few scenes in it...
For those still interested in a walkthrough, follow the instructions below based on personal playing time and the helpful hint file included with the game.
Prior to these instructions, I'd advise players to head straight for the boss the first time round and get hammered in an attempt to unlock all the animations on offer. Since the boss is 100% immune to all player attacks, accelerate the battle by selecting normal-attack and use of the CTRL-key.
1. Head for the monster bar.
2. Talk to every character seated on the right-hand mess hall.
3. Since this is a walkthrough and no one understands what's being said anyway, hold down the CTRL-key to skip past the messages.
4. Important text shows up in green, once one round of conversation is done leave the monster bar. There should be a brief dialogue between the hero and the fairy.
5. Go back in the monster bar. Head for the kitchen area and move towards the right-hand corner. There should be a sleeping fairy who will mumble the necessary information for beating the boss.
6. Confirmation of the info will be given with a slightly different dialogue when the fairy and hero leave the monster bar.
7. Challenge the boss. Same procedure as before.
8. The hero will automatically finish the boss during a dialogue scene just after her first climax. No need to select water spells or anything.
9. For the gallery function, head back down towards the castle gate. On the right-wing of the castle (monster bar on the left), there should be an empty room. Now that all the conversations have been triggered, simply exploring that empty room should reveal a cellar.
10. The cellar has mock battles of the final boss, a gallery area for all of the animations and a small area (really obvious) with a few more story-related animations.
11. In the prison, talk to all of the girls as well as the accessible boss clone and her two tentacles.
12. Not that it matters, but the afterword to this game is accessible heading south from the castle gate. Since everyone who bothered to read this walkthrough needs machine translators, it's completely optional since there are no additional scenes.
For the lazy, a save file with all scenes unlocked right before the entrance to the cellar is attached.
