Oh good lord....

Actually, I kinda want to see play this game now. Especially once you can play as Ryu.

Re: The Game Thread

A roguelike (with graphics) where you play an average joe (except for the times you're a dude with giant maroon liberty spikes. The level of ridiculous you gain from those make you well above average) in the middle of an urban zombie apocalypse. It's still in the alpha stage, but it's quite playable and very awesome.

It has mechanics for barricades. bust furniture up for planks to board up doors and windows, or drag that fridge/shelf/drawer in front of the door - zombies being zombies, they'll probably try to smash it instead of walking around it.

It IS a roguelike, so if you're unfamiliar with the genre you might run into a bit of a learning curve.

Some tips:
- Zombies are very dangerous, try to avoid them when you can.
- "c" to close doors, "p" to pull/move shit like drawers or fridges around, "k" to break stuff for planks. You look at stuff and manage inventory with your mouse.
- Leadership is pretty worthless due to how stupid the AI currently is.
- You can't reload your guns.
- Stuff is scarce. Don't shoot when you can afford to, and don't waste your health.

Re: The Game Thread

I've been playing that Elements game for a bit now, and I can't tell whether I enjoy it or dislike it. There seems to be quite a lot of grinding in the game, especially where it costs 1500 gold to upgrade one card, and the upper level combats all but require entire decks of upgraded cards.

Re: The Game Thread

Remember that Super Mario Crossover game? How it was fun to run through with an entirely different character?

consider the goomba's screwed.
New version of is out, and Ryu Hayabusa is ready to screw over every goomba in sight. A bunch of other smaller additions are in too, including Samus being able to crouch, Simon having better jumping control, Rush Coil for Mega Man, and 4 directional sword for Link. There is also an option to play through the entire game as one character, instead of going to the select screen every time, as well as random selection.

Apparently it's gone, now.

Re: The Game Thread

Can't help but bring up Minecraft again. Notch is just unstoppable right now.

Notch said:
This means that the most boring parts of the multiplayer development are now finished! I managed to squeeze it all into a single day of work, woo!
A single day? Is that a word game developers are allowed to use? Multiplayer soon then. I've got a team of siblings and subordinates ready to build some epic shit when the time comes. Castle complexes, replica mines of morior, Rapture city, flying fortress islands... I've got plans.

Other purpose of this post is to share this vid (with those that don't already follow the development blog). Check it out.

Re: The Game Thread

To anybody that likes old-school RPGs like Final Fantasy, I can recommend . While it parodies the genre quite often, it still has enough merit to stand as its own game. There are currently three chapters, all can be found on that site.

Three chapters? Oh, goodie! I beat the first and second, but got bored waiting for the third, so I ended up not making periodic checks on it's progress.

Defend your castle against enemy troops, dragon riders and catapults with your ballista, which is capable of firing different bolts (fire, ice, explosive, ...). It's fun, give it a try.

Not to nerco or anything, but Super Cock Blockers has been updated a little and given it's own

This is what I understand to be updated.

-Balancing of attacks
-Male characters increase the rate the point bar goes up by charging, which makes them stand still and masturbate while the opponent leader is being conquered.
-Netcode is made smoother so less lag
-You can now include bots to fill in any spare space, or just to use and play alone with. (My sidenote: The bots won't amaze you, from what I can see they do get stuck, and something ally bots will grab the opponent leader, take her somewhere, and just hold her until someone hits him.)
-And you can now have up to 20 people on a server without it crashing (it's horribly slow from what I see, but it may have just been my connection.)

Just thought it'd be okay to mention this game again.

Re: The Game Thread

As for the Dead Space thing, though I've never played it (I've looked at it, seen demos and such, and just not liked the way it was played) I know that to take away the core aspect, that atmosphere and creepiness wouldn't work. Especially in a sci-fi setting like it is. Take away the scariness, next thing you know its just like any other "I'm a space-faring alien ass-kicker" game.

Re: The Game Thread

Woah, I thought that whole copy and paste something someone already said was some auto bot thing, but that was a completely different thread and only like half of the post. The sig douches are actual people signing up?

Re: The Game Thread

has anyone given Mushroom Kingdom Fusion a try?

I personally enjoyed it, as it takes various elements from all kinds of games, including allot of characters, allot of levels from different series, music too. My favorite characters are Vile and Marip, because he gets a masterchief suit. Link gets a sweet elite suit too, plasma sword ftw!
