New post on the Ci-en!

Part 3 really is more than twice as big as both part 1 and 2 combined.
Test players have tallied 5-10h for the prologue, and then 30-50h for each of the 2 routes!

Total number of monsters have reached around 950. For reference, part 1 and 2 had around 400 combined!

They only have bugfixes, tweaking and testplays left before the game can be released!
Well, it best have better been this big with how long it took lmao. Hoping most of that is completely new content and they're not counting like recolors or scene edits. That said, either way, I'm ironically more interested in the story being completed more than anything else so I really can't wait for this to game out.

Unfortunately, that size means translation is going to take another 5-6 years lol.

Though as J300mer stated, there are some non-erotic or bizarre erotic content. Yet from an immersion standpoint it plays at the idea that not every monster girl is your version of hot (kinda like the real world), and sometimes you just gotta break the bad news to them/avoid, or in this game's world, fight them off! I've also found that enemies that don't fit your interests also bring variety and heightens the value of enemies that do.

Hate to say it but i feel the same way, at least about the outdated gameplay. These days the best H-games integrate the eroticism with the gameplay, games that rely too heavily on the traditional rpg gameplay elements like the standard battle system aren't good enough. I wouldn't say that gameplay has ever been this dev's strong suit going back to the original MGQ. That said however it truly is the biggest and most epic game in the genre.

Theres a reason that Estra's Labyrinth is the most anticipated femdom game and its not because of story or graphics, its gameplay.
What the heck are you talking about, dude. The game literally has the best turn based JRPG gameplay, PERIOD. Even games like Octopath Traveler, Persona 5, Kiseki series, etc, have much less customization and fun with their battle system. Piss off, many people play those games for the gameplay and plot, I for example don't give a flying fck about erotic content and don't want it to be integrated in the gameplay. The gameplay is what carries this series over from the first MGQ game, get a taste, buddy. If JRPGs aren't your cup of tea to begin with, then you aren't someone qualified to judge their gameplay's quality, lol. Not everyone playing this series is into femdom, and not even the majority of players. The original MGQ had a decent plot and Paradox could offer one of the best turn-based RPG gameplays in any video game ever made. There's a bunch of other femdom games for you to fap that have primitive gameplay, like Estra's Labyrinth. Paradox has a comple and hardcore JRPG system that's a perfect blend of JRPG classics, it's anything but dated. Valuing the MGQ series primarily for its porn is blasphemy.

I agree the system sometimes needs some balance but overall its pretty fun to play with all the customization, Ive triend most of the races and clases and yeah there are some that are absolutely broken yet its fun to try new things. some of my favorite builds for example are shizuku with double berserker effect or Ragora with superstar and predatory moves, but there is always someting cool with other monsters. in my last play i actually used queen Laura a lot, she is an amazing healer

The game has bland, dated gameplay. Deal with it.

Okay, it was fun and silly to tease on personal preferences a bit ago, but this seems to be going toward the unfriendly.

We might as well be having a conversation about what is 'good' art. Though in the words of Brandon Sanderson, perhaps what is most valued is nothing more than 'timely novelty', that is individualized to the person's past experience. As I see it, on an individual level it depends what each of us value in gameplay. Sexual immersion, physical combat, numerous options, etc.

By 2018 general preferences to get over dry traditional combat gameplay, part 3 looked to be amazing; by 2023 it looks repetitive. I think what most of us are banking on is the nostalgic story and sheer scope of the game helping to suspend our current standards in favor of re-experiencing what was once novel and vibrant. Like re-reading an old favorite book and loving it again. Realistically, we might experience some of that and enjoy it. But the nature of finales in heroic epics is typically to be underwhelming since the art and story telling gets contaminated by marketing to fan-preferences.

You say that. But from what I've heard and seen through other videos. It seems that there are some that are sick of automatic combat in AAA games. Not to mention that the qualities of AAA RPG games are becoming more lackluster with nothing inspiring. So having gameplay that MGQ Paradox has will be enough to excite people. Though like you said, it depends on different views of gameplay from one another. But I will say that the gameplay is not dated by a longshot.

The game is what it is. It will sell a billion copies and be considered a masterpiece. I just think the fact that it has had a 10 year development window means that there have been more interesting innovations that better blend gameplay and eroticism.

Saying you play MGQ for the standard Jrpg gameplay rather than the Hentai is like saying you go to sporting events for the food.

As a nerd whose hometown teams were dogshit, the food was the only thing I could look forward to when I got dragged along to stadiums...

(And I adore the gameplay here. Never actually played the original trilogy, but the plot's at least somewhat interesting, I dig parallel universe bullshittery. I'm not that much into femdom, vore, or cbt, so probably half of the scenes do nothing for me. Still love the game, I eagerly await the finale.)

I share the frustration with the antiquatedness of the game design., we'll see if nostalgia, quantity of retro gameplay/art, and concluding story fill in the gap left by time and desire for novelty.

I mean this kindly, I think you are over-presuming in this instance. What draws one in is not necessarily the same as what keeps someone at later points in time. It's often easy to project what keeps you as what keeps others. Kinda like how some sexual relationships start with sex, others with friendship, others are arranged, etc. Most probably start with sex and yet many last for other reasons after the sex wanes. Perhaps, our reasoning for playing paradox is similar.

Not sure what you mean, but the 'non-erotic' or bizarre content IS erotic to me. If I want realistic sex, I have sex in real life, dude. Porn that's basically what I can get in reality bores me. This is also why regular narrative content (novels, games, comics) that are to close to reality also bore me, so I mostly only read and play fantasy/science fiction. Thus, in my porn, I would much prefer unrealistically unique scenarios and kinks, and that's one reason I love Monster Girl Quest. We're talking about a world where the local wildlife are all (mostly) feminine creatures that have sex both to reproduce and nourish themselves, and that goes to the extreme from plantlife to mythical creatures, insects, and animals.

We need more games like this and Shrift but unfortunately we instead get games where the most outlandish thing is that the catgirl whose human with a tail and ears she ignores and that never comes up has fur-based decorations on her body or face.

If I wanted vanilla sex with 98% vanilla girls I'd just go play any of the billions of other porn games, lol. Many are quite good despite my preference for uniqueness.

Well, the majority seems to disagree with you. If you were there in various monster-girl communities or other erotic communities and subreddits before MGQ became popular, you'd know that 99% of people were surprised by the game's rather good story and that's why it became popular (and drive much of the discussion around the game). The setting and highly unique erotic scenarios also helped a lot, as it went in on the whole monstergirl thing instead of giving you a human with cat ears and that's it. The gameplay was basic and is even more so in Paradox. While I'm sure some people are okay with it, I find it hard to believe that people specifically 'adore' it as a core hallmark of the series when basic RPG maker mechanics are constantly and widely trashed here, F95, and many other places and have been for almost a decade now waaaay back when people were already getting tired of RPG maker games that were just grindy and poorly designed CG galleries.

Note how most of the RPG maker games that do really well, especially in off-beat kinks, either have incredibly good stories or gameplay mechanics, if not both (like Shrift). The erotic content has to be good too of course but that goes without saying; people will play even bad games for that if it's good enough.

So I think the sentiment is spot on, though it'd be more apt to saying something like you like the grinding in x game... it's certainly possible, and many people weirdly do enjoy grinding, but most find it a chore and archaic gameplay mechanic and it's far more disliked than liked, so it would be reasonable for someone to find it weird that you enjoy game because of the grind than any of it's other arguably better qualities.

That's what it feels like with MGQ.

While I also really like the JRPG system of this game, let's also be real for a bit. In the end the game is heavily held back (at least in terms of performance if nothing else) by the engine it's in. It's also not "hardcore" per say, unless you specifically choose to play it on the First Playthrough on Paradox difficulty (which sadly only scales the enemies to be harder, but does not scale the Gold/Exp rewards).
It does have a huge amount of variety, and I've yet to find a game with a similar amount of Classes or Races (much less both at once). Also taming Monster Girls gives it that Pokemon-style edge, too (or Recruitment edge in case you're more familiar with those types of RPGs).
In all honesty, it can be considered a Retro JRPG, turn-based and whatnot, and an extremely expansive one at that. However, many modern players might not wish to engage with the Retro genre, and to an extent, I can understand them (although personally I'd rather find Hidden Gems like this game rather than flock to the latest AAA failure, baring certain AAA exceptions)

The game is what it is. It will sell a billion copies and be considered a masterpiece. I just think the fact that it has had a 10 year development window means that there have been more interesting innovations that better blend gameplay and eroticism.

I'll admit that is a part of the problem. This game's almost falling for the Duke Nukem Forever problem, of taking too much development time (and inevitably increasing the Hype to almost unreachable degrees). But at the very least, since it was developed on Parts, we got a taste of the game (to keep us satisfied temporarily), and the game still has it's own features, including the extremely expansive JRPG system (huge number of Classes, Races, elements for attacks, Skills, even Skill Types etc).

Can't agree with the last take though, I personally do think a good game would have a certain degree of balance between its features (Hentai / Gameplay / Story). Of course, MGQP is heavily sided on the Gameplay and Story (as the Hentai is, in my opinion, even worse in general quality than the Original Series, only making up for it in sheer amount), but there are players who'd enjoy that, too.
After all, you can play games more reliant on their Hentai aspects (such as RPG games from Circle Tequa or 62Studio), to alternate between them and this game

I would assume that people who pay for tickets to sporting events aren't spending that money just to get to the concession stands, but the people they invite to come with them may not care about the game as much as the food. Similarly, it's possible that people who have bought the original trilogy and paid for the new games might have different priorities than someone trying this out on a whim, possibly through less than legitimate means. Or people might just have different interests/priorities. Not trying to judge anyone, just wanted to make a metaphor.

there was a new blog post about part 3 today they say the main part is done but there still alot of stuff to do like playtesting and bug fixing they say it wont come out this year since part 3 is so big at first they were thing about making part 3 into 2 parts As an apology, we will be releasing a large-scale trial version of the final chapter.
・You can play from immediately after the end of the middle chapter to the beginning of the final chapter (up to the big choice)
・Includes all story content from the previous chapter to the middle chapter
(H scenes in the previous and middle chapters cannot be viewed unless you integrate the product version)
・Middle Chapter save data can be used
. Save data from the final chapter trial version can be carried over to the final chapter main story.
The trial version of the final chapter is scheduled to be released by FANZA today (November 10th).
A preview page for this work will be released, so please download it from there.

the only sad part is that fanza does not work outside of japan even with an account you just get the Sorry! This content is not available in your region message
keep in mind this is just what google translate is tell me i dont know if they were thinking of making part 3 into 2 parts or they are really going to make part 3 into 2 parts because its so big

From what I can discern, it sounds like they're not planning on releasing Part 3 in two parts, but rather, the content is so large that they feel they should have made it a Part 3 and Part 4 in hindsight.

I'm sadly also unable to get the demo. However, I did find this title image for it.

From the bottom right corner, looks like we're finally getting H-scenes with Neris.

Well good news. You can view the scenes over at exhentai or press your luck with the link over at F95.

According to F95, content's rather packed for a demo. Contains both parts 1 and 2 plus the lead up to the Big Decision. Unfortunately, TTR did it again with stressing VX Ace beyond its breaking point, as it seems according to other places, ytinasni's RPGmakerVXAce Translator (0.10c being the latest version to my knowledge) no longer works. Made translation and editing a breeze considering how cumbersome the VX Ace interface is. We may be in for a hell of a wait. Still, what's important is that we have a bit of part 3. Godspeed to TTR (and a translation).
