Re: Ghost Hunter Vena (Vosmug)

I have to say I'm grateful for the necro, as until today I'd never seen this one. I really like the animations and the mechanics, simple though they may be. I really hope we see something new in the near future, as It's my understanding that the current demo was released in 20----14....
Dude he just made a post on his blog.

I'm really glad he didn't pull just a Z-Fied and just silently die when it started getting difficult

I had faith in him that he's also one tough guy with an unshakable heart.
So much troll and insignificant feedback in his comment section hardly affect him at all!

From this past I mostly see if he still tracking his feedback within comment, and he's doing so which enough to convinced me that he still not just died out mid way and doing his best in his effort ;)

Re: Ghost Hunter Vena (Vosmug)

Necro'ing this thread as it seems from his blog like the game is coming closer to completion - graphics, backgrounds and animations 99.5% done, with sounds, music and systems (save, gallery, menus) to work on before putting it all together. He says on the comments on his blog that he is intending to finish within the year.

Here's hoping..

As one person already commented, it's been over three years of work on this.

Yeah...and he still did more than some teams of three that work on other h-titles. Also, from what I can see from his posts over the years, he's quite honest and humble and that alone should be enough to respect him. He's not trying to sell us the same shit over&over again which has become a new standard.
Game might seem simple to some people but I prefer simpler 2d title that has a chance of completion one day than a 3d one that is just an another unity-engine cash&grab :)

Re: Ghost Hunter Vena (Vosmug)

I remember reading a long time ago about pink ghosts that don't do sexy things and just kill you. I hope there aren't many in the final version, because any section with them just turns into the robot segment from Xenotake.
Their inclusion made sense in context of the story, but the only way I can think to put it is "I didn't play a porn game to NOT find porn."

I think the pink "rage" ghosts were more bosses and one-offs, hopefully there isn't any sections with them only though, yea

Would commend his heart of steel that refused to have any kind of donation at all cost for his reason that even tho people may just want to support him but it might become unnecessary burden that he need to keep up to expectation.

So he just cut all kind of possible support and choose to work on them with more of art and hobby rather than try to make a living out of it, stand by his point that there'll not be anymore demo since the first one and only major hotfix updated into it, on the same time - keep game itself to be very excite when it about to release as we can see only a tip is iceberg until now - about time to explore those mountain.

I don't know about outdated, but it's certainly old. Vos did mention in a blogpost a while back that he would be updating the demo prior to release, so I guess when the demo is posted we can take it as a sign that the game is very close to final.

I really like that scene he posted, such a nice artstlye. It's simple but clean and good. Can't wait for the new demo.

I wouldn't say that, Kyrieru has consistently delivered quality games over these many years and will probably keep on delivering games.

As for Vosmug, there is a blog post that explains why the long silence and lack of progress (mostly technical and life related) but Vosmug is still making progress and we might see an updated demo still this year if not at the start of next year.

After all as the increasing number of actual game programmers on these forums can vouch for. It takes a heck of a lot of time, dedication and hard work to make these games! As simple as they may appear to the average gamer, they are not easy and definitely not for the small amount of money most of these programmers make.

That is no excuse for a bad game, but I think they deserve respect for delivering these products to us and I often am disappointed with the harshness of these forums towards the people who deliver us what we actually desire most (fresh games to play)

I believe in he has said he won't be doing a new demo until the final game is finished.

Vosmug said:
Same as before, about 6$, 7$ or 8$, I don’t know. There will be one final update that would work as the Dlsite trial version, since it’s necessary, so the demo would be updated with the same, not so much in actual content but in mechanics and visuals so it resembles the final version more.
