Here's an interesting update to the combat system. The enemies can now chain H-combo attacks together.
So you know how certain enemies were in each of the levels last time? This lets him plan on which ones can all topple on top of the protagonist at once.
It does increased H damage, and a few pictures of the combinations can be seen on the blog.

It'll make the game much harder than the previous releases, unless the creator plans to make it easier for players by introducing skills which affect multiple enemies AND are capable of cancelling the telegraphed sex attacks.

Long way to go before it's ready for retail though.

I mean the last game had several magic and TP attacks which hit all enemies, and even if an enemy gets hit for 1dmg their h-attack is cancelled

Those skills don't come into later in the game. From memory it's from the very start players have to contend with multiple enemy spawns.

If the Hentai Must Die mode is implemented, I expect the first two hours playing that mode from scratch to be one long slog just to grind stat boosts.

This blog also just got an update. It goes over one of the earlier "quests" of the game (since it's more open world this time in design instead of linear stages) where the girl you're mooching off of asks you to get ingredients for dinner.
If you played the first one, you know how the post-boss dinner sessions gave you skill points to invest in skill trees. I don't think it said what effects like that exist, but it is mentioned that having your roommate cook more often and cook better things will level her up to make even better things.
He also has a twitter now.

Edit: Yeah, I'd recommend getting on that twitter. A few screenshots and game clips are up there that aren't on his blog.
Damn, I'm too tired to read. I missed a paragraph. So food is an equip item that regens HP and MP, along with extra effects based on the food. Not eating makes her hungry and weak. Food auto-equips the same type of food after every fight. Kinda reminds me of the food in The World Ends With You.

1: Rather than specific enemies in each dungeon, any can appear anywhere.
2: Enemies each have their own level, so you don't get the same situation as with the previous game where you would wipe the floor with earlier dungeons' enemies.

I feel it's also worth noting that he says that enemies "unlock" as you find them. If anyone is familiar with Moga Woods in Monster Hunter Tri/3U, it works like that. After fighting a Great Jaggi for the first time, they pop up in the woods forever. So there will probably be some sort of "intended first fight" for these demons.
He also refuses to reveal exactly how demons level up. He made a point to stress that.
And the protagonist knows next to nothing about sex, unlike Setsuna who was a huge pervert.

All of these updates are amazing and serve to get me more excited.
I am curious as to how he's going to balance the game though, especially if every enemy can show up anywhere. Would seem like enemies with specific skills might be able to keep you stun-locked or something.
Probably unnecessary worry since the other two were pretty well handled.

Best part of Setsuna's character, by far. Fairly certain her sister takes after her too, which is why the game was so fun(ny). (Ended up buying the game on steam for like 5 people. I consider myself a good friend.)

You're not the only one. Had to do the "stand up and put your hands on your knees and breath heavily" thing. Heartbroken, man.
As for a release date, I skimmed through the blog very quickly but didn't see a prospective one. He seems to be make very steady progress though. According to some speculation on this thread, though, a 2018 release isn't out of the question. (Just not sure how plausible it is, since we don't know how big the game will be yet.)
I didn't bother checking the comments, he didn't seem to reply to any of them. (My reading is really, really bad though. So don't take it as honest-to-goodness truth.)

Just give me the porn, its not gonna be top visual novel level story anyways. In the last game, the only really good porn scene was the human-face monkey rape, which was amazing.

Which I don't know how to feel about, cause he did that for the last game and then it was like almost a year before release. But that demo was so good, and even let you do all three difficulties.

The author released a demo on his twitter but had to take it down after a couple of hours for having technical problems.
He's working on fixing it and will probably reupload pretty "soon".
Keep an eye out for it.
