Meltys Quest is the third RPG made by Happy Life's Sachinama, known for his previous two RPGs, Bitch JK in RPG and the NTR RPG Minako! I'm Remtairy and I'm in charge of localizing it into English!

The protagonist, Meltys, is a non virgin,
single princess who fools around all day every day.
She stays outside of the castle all night
and takes naps in her room in the middle of the day.

That was the setting of Meltys's peaceful life in the Kingdom of Rothstein.
However one day, it was suddenly invaded by Monsters!

Those Monsters were from the Underground Empire of Grolido.
They destroyed Castle Rothstein and wiped out all their troops.
Even all of Meltys's big titty older sisters were captured......

"Well, I'll like somehow fix everything!"

Despite being outmatched in a dangerous situation,
Meltys sets out on her quest with her typical upbeat demeanor.

This is the story of the beginning of a light hearted adventure
that quickly turns into a very erotic story......

-Every enemy has a sex scene when you lose to them!
(Meltys isn't the only one who is the target of the sex scenes.
Even some of the sub heroines will be featured when you lose...)

-When you change your costume, you will able to see new sex scenes!
(With over 20 erotic costumes, the pick how sexy you want the avatar to look...)

* Over 50 unique CGs, not counting avatars.
* Over 50 sex scenes


Sachinama is really outdoing himself here. Usually 30 CGs is a lot, but 50... :eek:

I am so hyped...

Found a small bug. The first fight, the npc can miss you with means you cannot proceed with the game.

Okay, so I just beat the demo... while I loved it, there were several things I think you and Sachinama might be able to work on if it's not too much trouble.

Here are some suggestions if it's not too late to work on them since I think these changes will help make the game a lot more immersive.

1. More variation when you lose to monsters and bosses a second and/or a third time. This would require a little more writing as the CGs are already there, but I think it'd immensely improve the experience. Even giving the illusion that the scenes are ramping up helps a great deal with immersion.

2. Different dialogue depending on if Meltys gives up during a fight; like the first suggestion, it'd require more writing, but it'd help add to Meltys' character as a slut. It'd be as if she's losing on purpose so that she can have sex with the enemies.

3. More boss dialogue during the battles, like how Esmeralda had some during each turn during her fight. However, I think since Sachinama was going for a more Monster Girl Quest feel when he created these bosses, so much like that game, I think it'd add to the eroticism of the fights if the bosses were doing attacks that hinted or mirrored what their H-scenes will be like.

4. The dungeons seem a little short. I know Sachinama received a lot of criticism for the size of the maps in Minako, but I think his response to that might be too extreme. If he could increase the map sizes or add more maps to each individual dungeon, it'd make Meltys' progression seem more earned. For example, I think the quarry should've been at least three times as large as it was, and Noosel Plains to be at least twice as big.

I don't know if these changes would make it so that the demo wouldn't be compatible with the full version anymore; however, if that's the case, it'd be worth taking the time to make these changes as they'd immensely improve the game, and more than negate having to play through the demo portion again. If any of these changes would delay the release of the game too long, then no worries. These suggestions could help Sachinama in the development of his next game then.

Otherwise, I really loved the demo and I can't wait for the release of the game. Meltys and her sisters are smoking hot, especially Daliah :D

As for the variations, originally before I joined there was only one generic message for every monster after the first sex scene which was something along the lines of 'Meltys was attacked by xyz......'

I worked with Sachinama to create the current three short variations. There are two more short variations based on slut level for each monster after you lose and saw the first sex scene. Like the one you're seeing right now, they are all single CG with a single text box.

I hesitate to ask Sachinama to write any additional scenes longer than a single text box because the game already has a lot of text and scenes for its asking price. If we add a second or even a third full sex scene to each enemy encounter, you're looking at a game with 70+++ sex scenes, not to mention all the new CG variations that would need to be drawn. It's just too much of a feature creep that will vastly increase development time.

Sachinama has already saw your post and told me what he thought about the length of the dungeons. For the time being, we're taking a wait and see approach to see how other people feel. But do note that there are multi map dungeons later on in the game.

I love this game, great stuff! The mc really hits my strike zone!

Also I found a save bug, gets a Loading Error, and cannot find an image and keeps looping.

But I love this game, I will definitely buy on release!

Oh yeah, this all makes sense. I put a lot of thought into what Sachinama might've been thinking when he was developing the game. I'm sure he thought about the things I suggested during his initial development, but he might've shelved those ideas so that he could add more scenes with various different enemies and NPCs. While it'd be nice to have more of a ramp up and progression for each scene, I understand that it might delay the game too long, and then we have a development hell situation lol. Anyway, again, if that's the case, then I hope Sachinama will take these ideas into consideration for future games =]

I just finished reading Sachinama's biography and afterword for his first CG set. Please let him know that I was really touched. The amount of love and passion he has for eroge was very heartwarming. I fully intend to purchase Meltys Quest when it's released. Sachinama really deserves our full support. I know most people pirate because they can't afford to buy these games, but for those of us that can, please support Sachinama! He works extremely hard so that all of us may have something to fap to :3

Edit: Ah yes, I had forgotten that his hard drive died halfway through development. I'm sure that affected the variation of the early portions of the game. Regardless, I'm still super excited to play the rest of the game. I'm glad Sachinama is a visitor here too XD.

It's not outside the realm of possibility that we might expand on the current one text box variations, maybe even with completely new CGs if the game sells well!

And an even bigger issue than standard feature creeping, is that when Sachinama's harddrive died, he also lost the PSDs, the photoshop data, for the first half of the CGs in the game. That means right now he can't add face or any other variations to those CGs without doing significant redrawing.

Out of curiosity, is the Monster Egg required for Goldol's Mansion implemented yet? I'm having trouble finding it if it is...

It's not, you get monster eggs when Meltys gives birth to a certain monster's children

Seems you and Sachinama are doing an excellent job.
Here's my review; I just finished building a bridge over the plains, so I'm not exactly far into the game.

Things I liked:
--Gameplay is absolutely stunning; in terms of mechanics, the player has a typical XP and slut level, but the costume XP/abilities is a innovative feature that invites sex. The aesthetics and sound are all visually excellent while in battle.
--The dialogue is far superior to other JRPGs. It's not just that the game has stellar ENG grammar, which in itself would make the game playable, but you've taken into account each character's personality into dialogue, making for a much more immersive experience (e.g. Rudolf has a very formal, noble speech, while Meltys has a modern girly-girl feel to her Kogal archetype). Hell, you've even thrown in joke or two that I chuckled at, like the soldier hitting himself while fighting.
--Obviously, the CGs are a step above most JRPGs, both in quality and in quantity. Not only are there a lot of them and not only are they high-quality, but you've got a smorgasbord of diversity in fetishes. I'm not crazy about some of them, but you'd keep a wide demographic pleased. This is a huge point to make, but there's really nothing I can say other than keep it up here.
--Sex-wise, I've already mentioned the CGs, but I like players can see CGs without having to intentionally lose to bosses; this solves the GOR problem, and also lets players who LIKE the corruption style lose intentionally as well. Also, thanks for including a gallery.
--The game is incredibly user-friendly and I've noticed that even the minute details draw my eye. For example, the game has hints to make sure the player doesn't get lost. Important locations/people are "starred" and/or have their locations typed out. Even the UI and menus are discernably aesthetically pleasing. I also love that I could basically play the entire game with a mouse, leaving one hand free...for eating or drinking something, lol.

Things I think could be improved:
--Personally, I'm not a huge fan of kogal or the gyaru genre, nor do I like corruption too much (more into just straight up rape), especially since the sisters are already mindbroken by the first "boss". However, this is a "me" problem; it's a testament to how friggin good this game is that I love it even despite the fact that it's not exactly my style.
--I'm nitpicking like crazy here, but since the conversation boxes are contingent on WHERE an NPC is on your screen (which is actually pretty cool), if you're talking to an NPC with a lot of dialogue at the bottom of your screen, his/her conversation box does get cut off.
--In the UI item menu, it erroneously states I have Gold Ore and Crystal rather than Flax and Feathers. I'm assuming this is probably because those two things were just included as entries above Flax/Feathers in the list.
--Just a suggestion, and maybe I'm not that far into the game, but I'd love to see party members. Meltys is well done as a kogal and her CGs are nice, but having teammates would diversify the experience.

So yeah, just some cursory ideas going on in my head as I play. I'll probably be throwing out more of my thoughts as I finish the demo; thanks for reading...I don't write reviews for a game unless I think it's got potential, and MAN does this one have it. Crazy excited for this game, and I'm actually a little worried that 1.) this won't be finished because it looks like the production value is incredible and 2.) it'll probably be costing me a bit more than most DLsite games. :/ Probably still worth it anyway.

Keep it up. Oh, and maybe it's just me but I'm actually a little surprised that other posters aren't more excited about this game, lol. The responses to this game don't seem as superlatively positive as I'd imagine. Then again, the demo did just come out and I'm playing the game on a Monday morning, so I guess everyone has work. :p

I'm thinking that there will be a LOT more reviews and positive comments coming, at least here in ULMF. Yeah, sorta sucks that this came out Monday morning, which is absolutely the worst possible time since at the very least, people will have to wait until EOD to play, to say nothing about waiting the rest of the week to finish work. All the same, I think it's worth waiting for; this will get a fair amount of buzz.

I only noticed the text box error with the soldier in the Castle Town who starts off at the bottom entrance to the town. However, it's a very minor error and he actually moves anyway, so I'm just pointing it out in case there are more characters whose text boxes are cut off; I'll point them out if I find them.

The item bug was hardly worth mentioning for me, but thanks.

can't seem too load up the save screen after saving the first time
it gives me a long ass folder or file name after data:image/jpeg something or other
seems to have something to do with the global.rpgsave
ok just found the fix in the old thread lesse if it works.... really need to look before grumbling next time...
