It's a good little game. Even without the porn aspect it's a well done asteroid type game.

Dunno if you can still test that part, but this version should fix that.

Thanks for the heads up.

Ah, never was good playing these kind of games, like moving on ice 24/7. New H scenes were too far apart for me to have any motive to fap, especially with no climax, but since the game is really short and focuses on an Asteroids style gameplay I guess I shouldn't expect much there. Was a neat little side project you did here, good job The main character reminds me of how classic anime use to do space warriors.

The animations all have climaxes, so I guess it's time for me to go double check if there's a bug.

Ah, yeah, I just didn't wait long enough. I don't know why I thought there was a button that advanced transition faster. Thanks for the clarity.

sorry for bump but here are my very important opinions on this game

- Warp makes the game very confusing at times. Small asteroids can get lost on the edge of the screen, so you're left searching for that last rock before you can move on. I get startled by my own bullets since I keep thinking it's some enemy firing at me. Sometimes I lose track of my ship when I start getting bumped around by asteroids.
- Why no auto-fire? Just use another button for the special attacks? my finger HOYT
- Why no customizable controls?
- I never used the dash move. I just can't get used to it. Feel like it doesn't work with the small screen size and the Asteroid influenced movement...
- Why Asteroids? I feel like this sort of gameplay can work for somewhat slower games (i.e. Star Control II, Solar Jetman), but a stage based shmup? Feels a bit sluggish. But that's just me. It CAN work (i.e. Luftrausers), but I think the combination of small screen size and confusing warp kills it for me. I think Asteroids hasn't aged as well as it contemporaries. Could be wrong???
- I'm not sure adding visible currency is a good idea. There's a lot of shit going on on the screen and having a hail of green pellets flying at me does not aid in visual clarity. It feels good collecting them, tho.
- On the subject of visual clarity, why are the asteroids so dark? Feel like there should be a greater contrast between them and the background. Moving stars in the background feel like unnecessary noise too.
- What's the point of having the choice of multiple ships if the difference between them is negligible? Is it only for cosmetic purposes? Why not give us the choice of visuals AND stats at the beginning of the game, then? Like, if I want the green ship and the SIZE bonus. Kinda wish different girls were piloting each ship. Would greatly aid in replayability, but hey, can't complain. Wish there were more differences between ships, at least. Maybe have each special weapon tied to a specific ship? I dunno.
- Music and visuals are both stellar.
- I like the light RPG elements. I went for the blue ship and used the charge weapon most of the time. It rocks, man.
- I kinda have a thing for female pilots (mecha or otherwise) getting their cockpits invaded by aliens and monsters, and this delivered.
- I mean, LITERAL cockpits. The cockpit is not an euphemism for vagina in this case.

sorry for nitpicking, i actually liked the game

Hahah, me too. Their power comes from the machine they're controlling, so once that machine is compromised they're vulnerable.
I would really like to see a sequel to this, possibly aping an old game called Starscape. It's asteroids, with a metagame and more playable space in each area than what fits on one screen. You mine resources and drop them off at your mothership, use them to repair your ships or go to warp and can spend them on researching and building new components, hulls, mothership equipment. Sometimes monsters pop out of the asteroids like in this game, there's certain nodes where the asteroids are much more mineral rich but cause a lot more collision damage and are much more likely to contain those monsters - who are really dangerous, not too hard to kill but evasive, fast and large, and drop a lot of resources themselves. In the meantime you're competing with the aliens/enemies to mine the resources across each sector's nodes, can encounter their resourcing ships and recover tech, components and resources. Simple concepts can still have depth.

a bunch of questions
Well, to answer a lot of those questions, here's some info.

This game was a collaboration between myself and an artist, with me doing the weapon/gameplay effects, sound, music, and misc edits on sprites. Also had to do things like menu stuff and the title. The artist did the rest, including the backgrounds. enemies, asteroids, H sprites, the gallery image etc. I tried to avoid doing massive edits as much as possible, since the game's profits were split 50/50, and if I edited all his work it would have defeated the purpose a bit.

Basically, the original plan for this game was that I would make literally just a copy of asteroids; no levels, no weapons, the only difference being that the enemy ships would be different aliens as you go, and would be able to H the player. The goal being to give the artist something he could edit by himself in GM and release updates to without any input from me. That's why it was asteroids. Problem was, gradual ideas like "what if there were enemies in the asteroids?" and "may as well add a couple weapons" took over. By the time I added a couple things, it was already more than what he could program.

After 3-4 weeks of him doing graphics, he had to get back to doing commissions (which he does for a living), so I basically had to do what I could with what I had, without adding too much, and without spending so much time on the game that it would be pointless, since I don't expect to make a lot of profit from an asteroids style game.

In other words, the answer to most of those questions is because it was what I could do with what I had, or because I had to settle so that it didn't take any longer than it did. Needless to say, if I knew that it was going to be something I'd have to do full sound design and music for, I certainly wouldn't have chosen asteroids.

Bought it, beat it, worth the time and effort to win too. Still FUCKING hate Asteroids controls but this was a very good homage to the original with a sexy twist. Weird how Kyrieru always seems to make a version of a game I normally dislike into something I enjoy. Good job overall, can't wait to see the next game :D

aight, makes sense. good luck with your future games
Also, when it comes to the dash being too fast, if I knew more about delta timing and overall speed modifications, I probably would have had some speed settings, since it is fairly fast. The money issue, too, is something I tried differently, but didn't like the result. Thinking back on it, I probably should have just reduced the amount a little and raised the value of each.

Main point before was basically; there's a lot of stuff I could have fixed, but there was a feeling that spending any more time on it than I did would be putting off other projects.

kyrieru game, aster went live on dlsite but the author is new.
i find it weird because kyryeru already have a dlsite jp account where he uploaded kurovadis and his other game.
did he make a new account?

Gameplay: Functions just like Asteroid, but with some light RPG mechanics; upgrade your ships health and energy (used by special weapons) along with purchasing special weapons. Avoid space rocks and enemy ships while shooting them to pieces!

Controls: left or right arrows turn your ship, forward provides thrust and backward provides reverse thrust, fire shoots your weapons.

If I recall Kyrieru did partner with someone for this game So I'm guessing it might be his partner's account

I'm certainly hoping that this is actually Kyrieru's partner, not just a scamartist. We'll just wait for Kyrieru to confirm

Nah, it's all good. I just didn't want to release it under my name without context. KS is just the name I'm using to refer to anything I make with that artist, which is why KS is also shown on the title screen of the game.
