Re: Humbid0 Games

I´ve done some research about the random crashes. I´m not 100% sure, but the game seems to crash more often in full screen or big screen modes.

I´ve tested it out with Babysitter´s Club 2 and I´ve had smoother gameplay in a smaller window than in a full/bigger window wich was crashing each mission.

hope that helps a bit

You might need to mention sometimes to give it a few minutes to load, as it occasionally likes to stop because it hasnt loaded enough.
That's odd, I programmed the preloader to wait until everything finished loading.

Yeah, I can just start right off the bat, but it stops animation randomly.

If I restart it and wait a bit, it will go a bit farther before freezing yet again.

In the past, crashes like these have usually been caused by the textbox.
(That thing has given me more problems than anything else)
I notice that they seem less common if you don't use SHIFT to skip through the text quickly.
It might be caused by some mistimed code. Running in fullscreen causes lag after all.

Yeah it's true that full screen lags more than a smaller window, but I do not recall anny of your games/scenes be laggy in full screen. Right after you changed the file however, babysittters club 2 was one big laggfest in fullscreen.

There could be something wrong with the coding, if not, with the file. Because I really don't recall having that much lag with your games.

Hmm, the only thing I can see that adds any lag are all the sprites on that map.
Without them, it speeds up a little bit.

I went ahead and set the game to use "low" quality.
And I recompiled game.exe to use flash player 8 instead of 9.
I think it's somewhat more reliable with that.
(it still stalls at the 1st night mission)

Anyway, I didn't plan on the game being run at full-screen.
Normally, I just run it at 2x size, which runs pretty smooth.
Game.exe runs the game at that size.

Yeah that resolution worked the best for me too. Anyways, it's not really a big deal since you can mess around with the save/load buttons when you're stuck and reload it from that point. That's how I finished it.

So. How's the progress going with your newer missions? Do you have annything planned so far?

Re: Humbid0 Games

is there a walkthrough for babysitter's club 2 somewhere?
i'm getting the feeling i am missing on heaps of stuff^ for example now i am stuck right after the plant mission and even that mission i was able to start by simply grabbing the watering pot from the basement and heading straight to the plant without any note from lisa...
this game is quite confusing at times in telling you what to do next...

That's because this game isn't finished yet. Basically this is a short walkthrough for all the missions available at the moment:

1. Beginning
You start in your own room, then you have to go to your sister's room. There will be a short dialogue. Then after that you go to the garden, fourth bush down on the left. It's a secret place. Another dialogue will take place. After that you are free to roam around and select missions.

2. Missions
There are several missions you can do. In the end the goal is to buy the camera roll from the general store and get the CGs. The roll costs $70 ingame.

several missions are:
-Babysitting
-Picking up on purpose dropped dollars by Lisa
-Testing a teleportation device
-Vibrating panties
-Capturing a rabbit
-Helping britney open the door.
-Something with a mouse (you have to capture it then give it to some girl)
-Tentacle plant

You can also choose to skip missions, just look for a spark near the mission. It will automatically skip the mission and give you 10 bucks.

3. Obtaining 1st set of CG's
After you obtained 70 bucks you can buy a camera roll from the general store.
You can give that roll to your neighbour girl (don't remember her name) then a mission will take place. In this mission you play that girl and you have to find Lisa 3 times. Then you will unlock pictures.

4. After 1st set of CG's
At this point you're almost done, since the game is still in development.
You can do the tentacle plant mission and complete it. AND you can locate an other mission in the house where you babysitted the boy earlier. There his mother is looking for him and is wondering if her neighbours have a machine to track him. It's not finished untill that point. You can get the goggles (obtained in the house to the right from where his mother is. Upstairs, room furthest to the left, to be exact), enter the yard and find the hidden cave. Then open your goggles and you will find a secret entrance. Nothing is there yet though.

There, don't make me answer annything mission-related now. XD

I'm flighty with projects and I keep switching from one thing to another.
I've been working on a couple of pokemon games.
At one point, inspiration hit and I made the "Babysitters INC" story.
And out of nostalgia, I've been re-creating a bit of an old game I made over 10 years ago.

At this point, I'm thinking about maybe adding a new level and abilities to PlayShapes' "Mario's Missing" game to inspire him to create the next boss for it.
I also need to look into a crashing issue that's been affecting my "Babysitter's Club 2" game. I suspect that the textbox may be causing it.
And I also need to make it so the save and load buttons don't disappear after loading.

Re: Humbid0 Games

Nope, even older.
The very very first hentai game I ever did was a modification of a very simple Macintosh RPG, "Yipe 3"
The result was something silly and pretty stupid, but it inspired me to do a remake in RPG Maker 95 later on. Which got corrupted at one point and was lost forever.
That lost remake, is what I'm remaking.
Convoluted enough for ya?

Yesh sir! I don't really care what you're making. I pretty much look forward to all of it. (o:
