Re: Nanocrisis

is it just me or did anyone else get some misplaced text in the translations?

for example sometimes the name of the speaker would be shown as the number of the text entry in the file and the actual speech would show the name of the speaker for the first line and first and second line of their speach, while leaving the third line out altogether

might be someproblems with wrong with spacing in the translated files

also some characters are still recognized as japanese: for example the ' in the phrase don't

Re: Nanocrisis

pretty awesome translations, can't wait for the update.
Thank you :)

Yeah excuse my English, this is exactly what I meant. I did this, all of the files in the SS folder were overwritten, and when checked with notepad they contain English text. Yet when I put the game on using the executable in the NanoCrisis20100830 -directory, everything is in Japanese.

So I'm wondering what's wrong. Clearly it gets the texts from somewhere else than the SS directory. IIRC this game didn't install anything though, it was just unpack + play, so I've no clue where it finds those texts then.
trying to get translation to work replaced overwrote old files etc... didnt work
re Dl'd nanocrisis for a new untouched file and tried again no luck ... would not work in game I wounder if is has anything to do with Jap regon settings ? mine are on atm
Afaik, it should have nothing to do with japanse settings or using a different folder for the text.

Keep in mind the only things I've translated so far are the texts from each mission and the ones from the intermissions. The Disclaimer/Warning and the texts that appear when Reika gets tackled by monsters are still in Japanese. Try to redo the first mission and see if you get English text at the end. If you don't, then we really do have a problem

Yeah, the missplace text is my fault for not having the patience to proofread the text  If you get any of these please tell me, either by posting here or PM-ing. I'll sort them out as soon as I find all/most of them. Regarding the japanese characters, however, I'm afraid there's nothing I can do; that's the way the game reads those symbols :(

Anyhu, glad the translations are good :p

Re: Nanocrisis

Speaking of censorship bullshit, anyone from the UK without a MU premium account NOT get this:

We have detected an elevated number of requests from your IP address.
This may be caused by improperly designed third-party software.
A temporary access restriction is in place. Please check back in 28 minutes or log in using your premium account.
(IP: 89.167.221.130)
If you don't (and don't have a MU premium account), and are from the UK, which ISP do you use?

I agree with you, man!
This thing is annoying!
Now I can't download my favourite stuff. That includes NON-hentai!

Re: Nanocrisis

Hmmm, about the translation, i have noticed that in my case some of the first mission events(introduction and bad end) are not translated, while everything else is.

Funny, isn't it?

Right thanks. Since my only savegame had basically grinded everything through, there was no text left to test it on. So I just restarted the game to test your translations and found that nothing up until the first zombie mission had been translated, and assumed it wasn't working.

Someone at some point mentioned the initial story, introduction and first zombie mission wasn't included, and that's true. After that the translations have been superb. You should take extra credit in that it isn't simply a babelfish word-by-word translation either, but actually worked into proper English with structured sentences. Thanks! :)

Re: Nanocrisis

URL plz... I found something, but I am not sure if this is the same google goggles then what you thought about.

And to those who have trouble with putting the translation it. The first dialog in the game cant be translated, at least I don't know where its file is. (probably hardwired into the game maker file.) However after you finish the zombies the finishing dialog is already in English. (And everything else after it.);)
Huh, seems that google goggles is only on Android Phones and Iphones for now. It's coming out as a google chrome extension eventually though!

So you guys are saying that the text from the first zombie mission is still in japanese? That's the only text I proofread, and as far as I've seen it's in english.

Can you be more specific regarding what exactly is in japanese there?

Well, thanks for the appreciation :) I don't understand much japanese, but with two separate online translators and a little common sense and imagination, I think I managed to get the general ideas of the text. However, if any japanese speakers out there find some weird lines, please tell me how I can correct them ;)

Hmmm, i was sure my explanation was already specific, but as hard as it might be i'll try to be even more specific.

The very first dialogue of the game between the main character(Reika) and the red-eye girl with glasses(Sumire), in which i guess she explains to Reika what the mission is about, is not translated.

The bad end of the first mission, which is triggered by being defeated by the zombies and chosing to give up, is not translated either.

I really don't know how to be more specific than this, besides, someone might experience a feeling of discomfort generated by a misunderstood interpretation, but i assure every reader of this post that there is no form of sarcasm intended...

That'll do... However, I did translate those and they are working for me :-/
Try reinstalling the translation, maybe that'll fix it.

I also had these parts not show up translated, while everything else was fine. Other than that, though, it's a good start on the translation, so thanks for providing.

I did every possible thing i could come up with(5 ways) to replace those files and there was no difference, maybe the files uploaded got mixed up.

Re: Nanocrisis

Thanks for the translation it most likely works I just didnt have the patience to get past the first scene before saying it didnt work I'll try a little later on

On a darker note BAD NEWS there will apparently be no update in october!!! I'll copy and paste my shitty translation of his blog

"Excuse me, but said earlier in October, aims to update, no update in October.
As progress is now about 25% use many.
Almost since the beginning of October, production does not proceed.

That is not particularly busy at work. There is plenty of development time.
My motivation is lower due to solely.
I was free all day today, did not end nearly touched.
To be honest, the pain has been made a little game recently.
Emergency and make a game I sit in front of the PC had fled to the day after the nico air could pass.

If this condition persists, let alone a severe year update in November.
To the person who apologizes is expected to update the time being might be better to think that not capped.
Please do remember to peek around it.
I think that time has been updated, if any."

Re: Nanocrisis

Umm...anyone got a spare voice file that I could use? My computer refuses to play any of reika's "fighting" noises or any of the dialogue with other characters, which makes me kinda sad :(

Re: Nanocrisis

There are no dialogs... and the sound are only dummy... the guy still did not chose what kind of sound he want to use. So you can replace any of the files with your own sounds. There is somewhere a readme which file is used when (a txt file) Try it its a lot of fun to make your own voices. :p

But if you aren't the pc guru type then here are my own sound files. Riped directly from mugen. :p Just overwrite the dummy files and puff you have sound. :D
