The credit card problem is not because of "porn", but because you're trying to use the card outside of your home/billing address listed with the bank/issuer. *ALL* the major banks and card lenders in the US have gone to a very strict system of rejecting almost all CC sales outside of a "home zone" within the past few years (a few exceptions are gas stations, C-stores and big online-retailers; tho the dollar limit for gas stations & C-stores is kept low). This is just an industry response to combat CC fraud. Even if you travel within the United States, you need to call your bank/issuer and let them know what the destination is where you'll be using your card and for how long.
For DLsite and English DLsite, all their transactions are routed through Tokyo, JPN. You have to call your bank and tell them to authorize transactions from Tokyo (you don't need to tell them why); and if you plan on buying over time, try to set the time frame until the card expires. Of course there's a risk, like all things, that someone steals your CC info and buys a bunch of stuff in Tokyo and your bank won't notice.
