I think you should try. recently many artists from Deviantart and Youtube creators started their campaign this year, and I think Patreon will be the most famous crowd funding system.

I found that even top tier level illustrators using Patreon too.

I want to try it too but not with Virgin Invader because game will finished in 2-3 months. And most players already know that. So I think it's too late for make patreon now. Maybe I will give it a try if I make my second game

I think Patreon will be the most famous crowd funding system.

Patreon is infinitely better than pretty much anything else out there for raising money for hentai games, with the one caveat that your audience can't use PayPal for it anymore, unfortunately (for NSFW stuff) etc.

Um. A bit out of topic (I guess?). Does Patreon have a black list for certain hentai genres? My country doesn't have laws against loli or bestiality but I don't know if Patreon has a no no policy for those things. I also saw that one of the patreons makes loli content so... I just want to be sure.

I think you must know only one thing:

Patreon is company based of San Francisco, California USA.

All states of USA DOES NOT ALLOW the child pornographic AT ALL.
EVEN 2D is NOT allowed. If character looks like underage, it might put you in trouble.
so Loli or Shota have no option. You can not make it. It's Illegal.

Loli/shota are never allowed, and anything that simulates violence to an extreme extent, even in fantasy, MIGHT not be allowed.

ex.
something where the character gets like punched in the face, that's ok

something where the character gets their eyes ripped out of their sockets while their face gets carved up into little bits by a sawblade as they scream and plead to stay alive, and then the whole mess is shoved back into their abdomen and set on fire, then their limbs get smashed into their abdomen and the whole mess of blood and guts is shot out of a cannon into their family, killing them, and then we see an up close examination of the entire family's guts being picked out piece by piece and aten by wild animals with blood spattering everywhere...

that latter example might get you flagged on Patreon, lol.

Additionally, bestiality is CURRENTLY legal on Patreon, but it's still subject to the Miller test in the area you're producing it in (and only hentai is allowed in this case, it'd never be allowed with like IRL footage on Patreon of it), so as the laws shift within the next few years, it's highly likely it'll be made illegal alongside loli/shota within fantasy-land.

They have strait up come out and said bestiality is fine. Juliojakers (SFM artist) asked them directly and they responded quite clearly on the matter. Can't link the page now as he has changed sites, though.

Depending on the state in the USA, it can range from allowed to not allowed.

According to 18 USC 1466A and the PROTECT ACT 2003 for California such depictions as lolicon and shotacon specifically do not fall under state child pornography laws, where as the state of Utah explicitly bans such material.

Its why I have my webhost there, because some of the stuff my website deals with has to deal with that stuff that people draw and is protected by the First Amendment.

I'd say Eromancer, Erobotan, Anon42, Yummytiger, Azurezero, Sourjelly or myself (and a lot of other people's names that don't instantly come to mind) would be a hell of a lot more deserving of the "prophet of the English hentai game" stuff in regards to the work we've put in (both with our games and community interaction)

I should probably try all those others. Its just, I hate vanilla. I don't like tentacles I am very niche. The fact akubar could get me hooked on vanilla as hell shit, strictly with his writing and art is impressive to me.

I'd say the games I mentioned all have at least a few niche fetishes in them, or will have them at some point/have said they'll put them in there, etc.

A good chunk of those games too have very intricate storylines with depth to their writing, etc.
