Breeding season and akubar for example.
Breeding season is so fucking big, cause of the furry fags (I fucking hate how obsessed westerners are with furry porn). It used to be straight bestiality. But since it refocused its niche...ya
So there is that. Plus the gameplay is aiming to be a farm sim which is another thing westerners like *cough* farmville. All in all breeding season just hit the niche on the head so to speak.
Then we have akubar. Who creates well written perversions of childhood favorites. I mean I gatta hand it to him, the guy is good at creating content. He has great humor, dialogue and art. The perverted childhood faves are just the hooks that end up being the cherry on top once you get into it.
How I see it, you need to do what everyone always does in their market, find that thing that makes your stuff unique or better than the rest.
IMO most people do this by mixing familiar stuff with obscure niche things (breeding season) Or turning normal stuff and perverting it can also be akin to subversion (akubar). I speak in terms of porn stuff but also in entertainment in general. People really like fantasy based reality (I.e supernatural, the flash, arrow, batman) or any "gritty" reboots. That stuff realism into fantasy.
My ideal porn game would be a combo of the two. The character of akubar with the niche kinky shit breeding season has along with its (soon to be) indepth gameplay.
For example there was this twine game that this guy stopped working on about a household that just got perverted.It hit all the right chords for me except for the fact is purely text based...
But ya normal looking family going fullblown incest with bestiality from the family pets was pretty good sounding to me. But those are my top fetishes.
Vitamin plus was another better example. This guy made a story based this other guy's art. Which was good. The only issue I had was how it became TOO fantastical. It just kinda took me out of it. The premise was good enough.
Two sisters come visit their aunt uncle and cousins on their farm, learn their cousins secretly fuck each other then get curious about fucking the animals, then mix in some corruption to get the aunt uncle involved. Shits hot yo.
But i digress. I find that focus is key. So ya, choose a project and stick to it. I know this because I always brainstorm ideas for stories and think i should do 5 different stories, when in reality it would just be better to put those 5 ideas into one good story. You know?
