Character sheets or derp go here. So far there are three 'systems' in Despair Labyrinth threads; freeform, custom and DG (for combat). Pretty much everything in DG would have to go through GM approval before being thread-ready, but feel free to derp around with the concepts here if needbe. Alternatively, you can also post your existing character sheets from established threads.

Right now I'm currently not starting any new threads, but I may pick up a few more as time goes on.

When taking HP Damage: Xara has 1 armor from Clothes (TP = 25, DU = 2). When she's reduced to 27 HP or lower, she takes an instance of weakened causing a -10 penalty to all of her rolls.

When dealing PP damage: Xara deals +2 PP damage during penetrative sex. She deals half of PP damage dealt in corruption (whether you want this to happen is up to you, Takimaru, since it's the DLaby universe.)
When taking PP damage: She takes +4 damage from sensitive, and another +8 damage for each of the following fetishes being fulfilled: cumming inside, exhibitionism, public use, or size difference. On an orgasm, her PP resets to 21 instead of full.

[Two Weapon Fighting] Flurry (Activated) – The character takes two attacks with each weapon, totaling to 4 attacks, but all attacks are made at a -12 penalty to attack rolls and take a -6 penalty to damage. These attacks need not all be against the same target. Requires Two Weapon Fighter.

[Stealth] Sudden Strike (Activated) – The character can take a -10 penalty to Dodge until their next turn. If they do, they may make a Stealth check at a -5 penalty against any creatures that they attack, and if they win those attacks count as sneak attacks. Requires Stealthy.
[Stealth] Sneak (Activated) – The character forsakes all other actions for the round. Instead, they may make a Stealth check against all nearby opponents who are aware of them at a -10 penalty. If they win this check, they are no longer detected by the enemy that they won against. Requires Stealthy.

[General] Thief (Passive) – The character gets a +3 bonus to Stealth, and can pick locks and disarm traps.

Description
Xara is 5' 2" tall and weighs about 118 pounds. She has the appearance of a woman from Deun; a very lithe young woman with a dark tan as evidence of time spent under the desert sun. A mop of slightly tangled, raven hair falls just short of her shoulders. Two black-furred rabbit ears are present on her head. She has soft features, a button nose, and dark blue eyes. On her upper back she bears a few scars from a whipping long past, though they're only barely noticeable. She tends to wear loose, exposing silks, as a result of needing to combat the desert heat for so long, which she has augmented with a headdress and veil to hide her strange heritage. Her garb of choice is a pair of white silken pants in the fashion of shalwar, a mid-rift exposing silken sleeveless shirt, a similar traveler's cloak, and her headdress and veil. She has a poofy rabbit-like tail that's hidden beneath her pants.

In combat, she wields a double-headed meteor hammer with a two meter long chain connected to two, surprisingly light, iron heads. She tends to keep the heads concealed beneath her cloak and passes off the rest as simple chain wrapped around her waist when possible.

"Short" Bio (Pertinent and public information only, hopefully.)
Xara was born to a hunter and a merchant's daughter, the result of an unnaturally accelerated pregnancy lasting only six months, in a small, primitive tribal village in the deserts of Deun. At birth, she had strange, subhuman mutations in the form of rabbit ears and a rabbit tail. Her mother was believed to have died on her birthing bed, though her body was never found, leaving her father to raise her.

During her youth, she was ostracized for her odd appearance. Her father was viewed with suspicion by the other tribesmen given the unusual disappearance of his wife. The tribe, as a whole, outcast the father and daughter in all but name. They provided one-tenth of the water rations to the two that the rest of the tribe was allowed, and gave them only scraps for food rations. They would not be officially exiled, but the tribal elder had hoped they might be persuaded by the lack of supplies to seek another tribe to live with. Xara's father was an excellent hunter, however, and managed to scavenge enough for the two to barely survive.

The lack of supplies did eventually turn Xara, who at the time was only ten, to steal from the tribe's food and water supplies. She was caught and harshly reprimanded, by both her father and the village, but in the end her father managed to soothe the fallout of her misdeed by offering up some of his already meager hunting gains to the tribe. This even worse state led Xara to try again, bitter at not only the tribe's treatment of them but at losing even more of their precious few supplies. She was caught again and whipped to within an inch of her life. This time, the tribe would not be soothed, they cut off all supplies to the two.

The result of her being caught was that her father had to spend more time than ever before hunting for food and water in the deadly deserts. She barely saw him for more than a few days at a time, and his stops were rarely very warming. In the end, on one such trip he would disappear in the desert, most of the tribesmen believing that he was stung or done in by one of the dangerous creatures that lurked in the sands, the cruelest ones believing that he had abandoned his mutant daughter. Xara was thirteen when her father left for the last time, and refused to believe that he had died for several months, finally only giving into the idea because the alternative hurt too much. In the interim, she kept herself alive by thievery, managing to avoid being caught a third time.

For the next five years, she survived on her own, keeping to herself during the day and coming out at night to steal food and water from the other tribe members. The only time she made any appearances during the day were when rare merchants stopped in the primitive village on their way to some bigger, better place. She would speak with them at length, listening about all the technical advances and wonders that her little home didn't have. She fantasized about leaving the cruel tribesmen behind and finding a new life in one of those cities, but never made the trip for fear of the dangers that lurked in the desert.

When she was eighteen, she began to manifest strange pheromones and, on occasion, began to have periods of intense desire to breed. Having nobody to talk to, she wasn't aware of the strangeness of it all. The rabbit-girl managed to ignore it, though, and avoid the effect she began to have on others simply by way of solitude. It was at that same age that she would finally meet a merchant who was willing take her out of the city. The way he offered unsettled Xara, though, and she ended up not taking him on it.

A few months after the departure of the merchant, strange, brutish men came to the tribe to speak with the elder. In a moment of curiosity, she eavesdropped on them and discovered that they had come for her. The way they spoke of her, however, scared her. They offered the tribal elder an exchange, several barrels of water for her. When she heard the elder eagerly accept, she fled the village with a pouch of stolen food and another tribesman's waterskin and never looked back, deciding that it was a better time than ever to find her luck in one of the cities.

The trip was hard on the girl, leaving her thinner than she had been even in her home. Without any combat experience to speak of, she had to run and hide from most dangers, human caravans among them. The idea of being traded for water had her too skittish to trust anyone. Eventually, without the capability to hunt, she ran out of food and water. But, before she could expire in the hot desert, she found a hermit's home, which she attempted to burgle.

She was caught in the act and given a few good whacks for her efforts. But, the hermit allowed her to live and leave without food or water. To Xara's surprise, he also offered her a chance to earn some food and water. The hermit had developed a fighting style similar to the Shamalus Style of Deun, but using the chained meteor hammers of the east. He was an old man and desperately wanted to pass his methods down to somebody before he passed, so, he offered to allow her to stay and learn, in addition to taking care of some tasks that he was too old to see to, in return for her daily sustenance. Since it was a choice between that and dying in the desert, she readily agreed.

Before she could learn his style in full, however, the hermit would die of old age, only six months later, leaving her only with the basics and a few very impractical forms. She buried him out of respect, then stayed until the last of his supplies ran out before continuing her journey. It wasn't until well after her nineteenth year that she finally made it to a proper city of Deun. She entered with high hopes and a dream of finding a better life for herself...

… And would probably end up getting soupcanned and hydrated in front of a crowd of cheering spectators.

The OOC section: HYDRATION. I'm pretty much good with any direction for her misadventures. Presumably, though, her first goal will be to steal some water or gold or something, 'cause she's poor. Also, there's no fetish that's particularly offensive to me, so no worries there.

Bio: Llæwyn was born about 45 years ago to a pair of warrior parents in the village of Grenwyll who traced their use of the sword back generations. Of course, neither of them were particularly good at the art of war, but their daughter had some natural talent, so with about three decades of training she developed into one of the finest swordsmen in all the village. Not that that was particularly high praise in such a peaceful place. The training at the school is unforgiving, with a large class of young children growing up in an environment of constant competition, where failure or signs of compassion are usually rewarded with only punishment or death. Survivors of the training sometimes retain their humanity, but it is usually buried beneath layers of trauma and induced psychosis. A majority of harmonists are sociopaths, which makes them ideal contract killers. Their abilities to control the elements and to kill with them, makes Harmonists a desired commodity for the employ of Honrainese warlords.

Ruby did not escape her life as a Harmonist without having committed many sins, but buried within her was a charismatic and essentially good person. This compassion was eventually exposed by a rival Harmonist of the Wooden Mask school, whose assassination contract was in direct competition with her own. Given the choice to pass up on her target in order to spare a girl's life, Ruby chose to default on her contract. This led to a chain of events that caused her to be exiled by the School - which is the same as having a permanent contract out on her head.

In order to survive, Ruby fled Honrai, taking a voyage by sea past the Talean Archipelago and arriving in Elynsor, working as a mercenary sword for hire. Able to work for herself for the first time in her life and make her own decisions, Ruby has started to find herself and come to grips with her emotional shortcomings.

Since coming to Elynsor, Ruby has become aware of the Redclaw Syndicate and its ties to Voidic Influence. She had begun to lend her skills to protecting others from the Syndicate, but in an ambush, she and several other heroes were captured by the Syndicate. She was put into a situation where she could sacrifice herself to allow others to escape, and chose that path, expecting to die or to be rendered into a mindless thrall of the Syndicate.

Her attitude and personality, as well as her skill, made her desirable to the leader of the Inquisition Division of the Syndicate, a Void Vampire named Noir. Over the course of months as a 'guest' in Noir's dungeon, Ruby eventually struck up a relationship with her captor, who was also undergoing a moral awakening. Through many trials and a few separations, Ruby and Noir are now determined to bring about an end to the Syndicate from within, and have been amassing a force of unlikely allies to that end.

: Without giving away too much up front, lets just say she's a "people watcher" kind of person. Quiet under most normal circumstances, but always paying attention to what's going on around her.

History: Ren was originally the daughter of a land-owning family in a rural area that had provided soldiers and warriors to the province's lord for generations. At some point during her childhood (around age 12), however, her father and many other members of the community joined a rebellion for independence with several other parts of the province. Said rebellion was... not successful.
During an attack on her home village, Ren was not killed with everyone else, but rather taken as a political prisoner of sorts. As there was little chance of being able to survive on her own or run away at that point, she was left in the care of the servants at the Lord's manor. For the next few years, this would be her life... however she wouldn't have any spite over it.
In Ren's own mind, any blame or spite over what had happened lied with her parents, Their selfishness had gotten them and everyone close to them killed and left her all alone in the world. Life was fine before, and now living in a capitol city full of new sights and wonders compared to her old rural village, she didn't understand what her parents thought was so worth breaking away for... no, it wall all stupid selfish ideal that ruined lives for no reason. Towards the lord who had attacked her village, she now felt only a sense of gratitude... gratitude that she had been spared, even brought back and cared for all these years, despite her use as a political prisoner having ended long ago.
Though she had no spite over her role in life now, Ren still never exactly fit into it well. The life of a servant was... boring. Safe, comfortable... but boring. Restlessness made it hard to stay out of trouble, and she had a natural talent for getting into trouble. Whether it be slipping away from the manor grounds unnoticed or fading into the background to eavesdrop on important guests, she was good at it... and found such challenges to be interesting. To watch people... to learn things about them without getting caught as intruding, it was like a second nature to her.
Of course her methods wern't perfect, nor did her "habits" go unnoticed forever. However... rather than being seen as alarming, there were those at the manor who saw "potential". Soon after her 17th birthday she was offered the chance to serve her lord as a kunoichi, a spy and even an assassin when the situation called for it. Not only was this a chance to even out the debt of her life she owed, but it was also a chance to stop those who would ruin all the lives around them like her own parents had done. She did not decline the offer...

Skills: As a kunoichi, Ren would have a variety of skills for handling a wide range of situations. Her specialties, however tend to err towards "infiltration"... disguise and playing a role well. The main advantage of kunoichi is that their gender opens doors and creates opportunities for them in certain situations that aren't available to men. Her training for the last 2 years has focused on this fact.
While she does have some combat skill, enough to defend herself plenty well from most normal people and see almost anything as a tool for getting a job done, against trained combatants she's not a match in a fair fight. Surprise is her main advantage, and without that she has neither the skill or the years of strict physical conditioning to match those who dedicate their lives to such pursuits.
***At the start of the RP, she's only been doing this for a couple of years. In fact, I don't think she's ever ever had to kill anyone yet. Anyway, most her skills aren't going to be solidified in with lots of "field experience" yet.

STAT SYSTEM (Not that I've really used stats much at all.)

Charm would be when determining, well, obviously, charming rolls, Magic/Intelligence would help with actual magic-based stuff and knowledge, Body helps with physical feats, Perception is self-explanatory, helps you read events and/or people, and Will determines how cool you can stay under pressure or avoid negative penalties when in a bad situation, essentially.
You get 5 points to distribute however you like, although you have to choose one stat that is -1. 0 is average, 1 is above average. 2 is very above average. 3 is expert. 4 is prodigy. Ect. These are rough guidelines, not strict rules or systems.

Stats

Magic/Intelligence: 0 (Very intelligent, can read and write and problem-solve pretty well... but no magic.)
Perception: 1 (This is what she's been naturally good at for years.)
Charm: 2 (Specifically trained in this, and very good at playing "roles" just from watching the way people behave anyway.)
Body: 0.5 (Some physical conditioning, but not an extreme amount. Too much would, after all, take away from her charm in certain roles.)
Will: 0.5 (She's aware of the importance of what she's doing and the consequences of it, but being fairly "new" at it keeps this number from being higher)
Other:
-5'1” height.
-Finds the growing and study of herbs as very interesting, both for poisons and medicines. Is probably allowed some use of the manor gardens for this.
-Knows how to be formal and proper when it's called for, and usually defaults to this kind of mood around most people.
-Finds most people her own age to be annoying, but has a soft spot for children.
-Was an only child (no siblings). However she might consider some of the people around the lord's manor to be similar to "family" to "siblings".

Appearance: Taller than average, with brilliant red hair that falls the middle of her back. She has emerald green eyes, and modest breasts on a thin, soft figure. Looks even more innocent than she actually is. She has a tattoo - almost always hidden - below her belly button, depicting a stylized version of her reproductive system in real time. .

Personality: A total innocent in matters of love and lust. A little less so otherwise. Doesn't aspire to be witty, but good at watching people and putting things together. Extremely stubborn when she puts her mind to something, which admittedly isn't terribly often.

Skills: Learned to paint through sheer force of will. Currently quite good, but hasn't decided she's finished learning yet. Knowledgable on a variety of subjects. Knows some basic magical theory, but unable to do magic unaided. Knows some basic self defense, but has never used it.

History: The eldest daughter of an important nobleman in Elynsor and a woman from a rich but unimportant family in Rydale. Raised from birth as an ideal noblewoman, innocent, pure, and gentle in word and deed. Schooled privately and chaperoned at all times, 'sheltered' hardly covers it. Her mother died about two years ago. Her stepmother married her father about one year ago, and got pregnant six or seven months ago.

While Kyla is an innocent, her father is not. His wife was beautiful, but the marriage was political. He is certain Margaret is not his, and has reason to suspect Kyla's legitimacy as well. And now there is a new child on the way - one that he does not have reason to suspect the legitimacy of. So while he has prepared Kyla to be an ideal noblewoman in the event that she inherits, it is his preparations for other plans that now seem likely to pay off.

Bio:
An orphan from a young age, Rhea grew up doing whatever she had to do to survive. Having food to eat often meant stealing it, which was something she quickly became adept at—those who got caught too easily didn’t live long, after all. Fortunately for her, she learned early. As a child, she could get off with only a beating if she messed up, and though she suffered through quite a few in her life, she learned, and they became less and less frequent as she got older. Though she’d had others she might have considered friends over the course of her life, she’d also learned very quickly not give anyone too much trust. Survival was most important, always, and sometimes that meant someone else had to take the fall. She wanted to ensure that she was going to be the one surviving.

Always having to be concerned with where her next meal was going to come from, Rhea never really had the chance to look too far into the future, simply living day-to-day as best she could. Though she had become quite skilled in the thief’s trade, it became considerably more dangerous the older she got. People might be willing to forgive a child, but she wouldn’t stay a child forever, and as she matured, it became evident that many had other desires for her as well. This eventually led her to somewhat more legitimate work, once she was old enough to be capable of it. It was mostly just odd jobs, with a few merchants and shop owners she’d gotten on the good side of in the past, but it was enough to keep her fed, most of the time.

She occasionally got involved in jobs of the rougher sort as well. She’d never properly trained, and—while her life had left her reasonably strong for someone her size—was far from physically imposing, but she’d learned enough to defend herself when she needed to. She fought dirty, and more like a brawler than a warrior, but she’d proven herself a match for the simple thugs who had harassed her in the past. Cheap muscle was always in demand, and occasionally she’d find someone willing to give her a chance. It wasn’t her preferred line of work, but she couldn’t afford to be picky either.

Unfortunately for her, with her less than safe living conditions, there were a number of cases where a mistake or simple circumstance would nearly cost her life, or her freedom. One such mistake nearly ended up with her forced into becoming the newest attraction at a less than savoury brothel, but she was rescued from that fate in an unlikely manner. The leader of a local gang had apparently gotten into some sort of feud with the brothel’s owner, which had escalated into his gang trashing the place not long after she’d been caught. When she was dragged out of there, she was certain she’d just traded one potential Hell for another. If she’d been in a more rational mind at the time, she might have questioned why she was the only one being taken, but it wasn’t until their leader came to speak to her later that she realized her assumptions had been wrong. Apparently he knew of her, as she had built up some meagre reputation, and was looking to recruit her.

At first she was wary, but this had only been the worst in a long chain of bad events. It had certainly been a wakeup call of sorts, and showed her just how dangerous working alone was. She still wasn’t ready to trust them entirely, but she was willing to give it a chance. Things began to go more smoothly for her from then on, and she gradually began to integrate herself with the rest of the gang. It was a sort of safety net she wished she’d had for years. She was with them for a few years before things began to change again. Their leader had been interested in her as more than simply a member of the gang, she’d known that for quite some time, and he wasn’t the only one. Eventually, though, he began to get more insistent. She was never sure if he intended to threaten her position there, but it was always a possibility lingering over her head. She couldn’t give it up and go back to being alone after everything that had happened in the past... so she played along. If that was what she needed to do to keep him happy with her, it was just another sacrifice to be made for the sake of survival, in her mind. It wasn’t as if she had anyone to betray.

Their mostly one-sided relationship continued for another year after that, before they were approached by a member of the Redclaw Syndicate, looking to recruit them. Rhea wasn’t certain about the details of the deal, she wasn’t directly involved in it, but it wasn’t long before they were under new management. To Rhea, not much had changed, at least on the surface. Her boss was still her boss, and she continued to do what she always did, but their new arrangements worried her. She would have to be blind not to recognize the kind of people they were working for no. She’d seen all the slaves on a few occasions. She was simply lucky that as far as most of them were concerned, she “belonged to someone” already. She could only hope that was enough to protect her, as there wasn’t really a way out for her anymore.

Description:
Altani is fairly average in height, with a slim, toned build that speaks of the time she has devoted to martial and other physical pursuits. She wears her hair long, possibly impractically so, and usually tied back in some form. While she is fairly attractive, she projects an almost androgynous appearance, making it relatively easy to pass herself off as a male when she desires, if an effeminate one. Her chest is small enough, especially since she normally wears a simple wrap, that it is easily concealed behind armour or loose clothing, and she has always naturally fit in better among males regardless.

She is something of a thrill seeker, often impetuous in her decision-making. She has always acted more like a typical male than a typical female, so she is a natural when she does decide to hide her gender—often simply when interacting with those she doesn't know. Despite her habit of acting the part of a man she is not ashamed of her own gender, and makes no effort to hide it among friends or closer acquaintances. She especially prides herself on her riding skills, though her skill with a bow and blade are not insignificant either.
Background:
Eldest daughter of an Ulralian Chief, Altani had been promised for marriage to the son of her father's ally since she was a child. To him it was simply a way to secure their alliance for another generation, a common practise among their people. Altani was less than pleased with the arrangement, however. When she was younger it was something in the distant future, easily forgettable, but as she grew older it grew more and more worrying.

The man who was to be her husband was not the sort she wanted to spend her life with. She'd met him several times before, when she was younger. He was nearly six years her senior, and never ceased to be patronizing, even outright abusive with her. He clearly had no love for her, and she detested the man, but her feelings weren't enough for her father to call off the arrangement. She had never been the domestic sort, seemingly having more in common with the boys than those of her own gender. To be confined to such a life would be stifling.

She had been taught to ride a horse, to fire a bow. She felt most at home out on the plains, and in her mind she should have been a warrior, not simply some helpless little girl to be traded away. Finally, the day before she was to be escorted to what was to be her new home, she simply left. She took her bow and her blade and a pack of supplies, the sort anyone might take for a few days' trip, and she simply left. To anyone else it would have only looked like she was taking her horse out for a ride, something she did often, only she never returned. If even her own family were intent on taking her future away from her, she would have to make her own way instead.

Unfortunately, she underestimated just what it meant to be alone in these lands, especially as a young woman. She managed to make a living at least, but little more than that, and every day was fraught with danger. She quickly learned that by making a few simple adjustments to her appearance and trying to speak a little deeper she could pass herself off as a man without much trouble. It took surprisingly little effort, but then she'd never been one to care particularly much about looking feminine.

After some time, she fell in with a small group, seeking both the safety and companionship that came with it, having quickly found that she missed such things more than she'd expected. She didn't quite understand what she was getting into at first, perhaps still a little naive to the world. Bandits, that was who she had thrown her lot in with. At first she was worried, not wanting to be associated with these sorts of people but also unwilling to give up the only real human companionship she'd had since leaving her home. Eventually, she grew accustomed to it even, finding it much easier to accept than she'd expected. Her riding skills were valuable, and on rare occasions her martial skills as well. It was thrilling in a way she hadn't been able to experience back home, the risk, the life or death struggles that threatened to arise every time they set out.
