If Deva was paying attention enough, she would see a bulge growing in her knight-friend's armor when she was called 'slut', apparently her body still reacting to the title she was used to be called when she was enslaved by Masoch. "Our language is very similar. We do not have any word to describe a singular entity, it was something that we had to learn through our experiences with other races, and with our experiences from Mistress. I, Me, they are such strange terms. Why be 'one' when you can be 'many', never alone and never having to struggle with loneliness." They would explain, the elf keeping close to Deva, more for effect than anything, wanting to make the situation more familiar to Deva. "That was another reason that we sent Masoch towards you. To make you use up your abilities some more. Make you use your Morphea, make you waste something powerful like Greater Restoration. Had things gone to plan, we'd have also made you use up some other abilities that we've been warned about. But that is simply how things go sometimes." The Hive would explain, having planned ahead for the things that it already knew about Deva. Unfortunately it couldn't plan for everything, as it knew that the angel would have quite a bit of tricks up her sleeve that none of the agents could be ready for.

"We've noticed a major flaw in your plan... One must be imprisoned to be freed. Isa... I am more than happy right now, Deva. I am fine where I am, I don't need you to free me from this. I belong somewhere now. My past is gone, my story is gone, but this gives me purpose... I am happy where I am." They would suddenly speak, sounding more like Isa now, as though it was actually the ice mage talking at this point. Though Deva was already told that the ice mage was fighting to not give up certain bits of information, so it was likely just a ruse to throw Deva off balance. "Does it really anger you just to hear my voice? I just wished to speak with you through the Hive... but if it upsets you then We can stop..." The Hive would offer, not intending to upset Deva too much... plus... the edge to her voice had made the Hive actually worried for a split second, the hairs standing on end for any of the hosts in the vicinity.

"Well then... If it's better to question... Why on earth are you speaking to a book? Why didn't they manage to get you? Did they already get you? Why would the Queen of Agony release me? Have they taken the Empress?" The knight would rattle off, before thinking carefully on each of those questions, seeming to go quiet as she considered the likelihood of certain things, and trying to properly think everything through like Deva had just shown her. "The useful thing about so many of these soldiers is that when We took their leaders, when we unified them the rest fell into line and allowed us to be less and less subtle in unifying the rest of them." They would answer, explaining their logic behind not going after Masoch's slaves immediately, having their invasions properly planned far in advance, knowing the strategies that would be able to lead to the least amount of resistance. Invading different worlds was something that they were used to, and as such they were good at planning out an invasion even in worlds that they weren't able to properly understand. It was one of the things that had made them so valuable to the Cloaked One, as they could infiltrate a story and slowly take it over, and once they had full control over every element of the story, they could then immediately break it and make things go too far off the rails for anything to be able to repair it. "We are more ready for you than anyone you have face so far... We have seen many of the things that you have managed. You are more impressive than many of those above us, but at the same time, we had no prior knowledge of them when we faced them..." They would speak, switching back and forth between regular voices and Isa's voice as it spoke with Deva.

"We have these mages here to protect this core, this story's core. If we can stop you, then we take this story, if we can not, we can escape with the core and as many members of us as possible and still strengthen Mistress' army. Logical, we must think logically to preserve and expand the Hive. If we must retreat and return later, we will. As we have said, we are patient, if it takes centuries to properly unify the poor minds of this story, we will wait. But if we are impatient and allow our Hive to be destroyed, or even just having THIS core destroyed will severely damage us. Many a 'world conquerer' has fallen to something as simple as impatience." They further elaborated.

"Wh-What? Our apologies... We weren't expecting something like that... Normally we don't manage to convince those like you to join with us... Very well, we will welcome you to our fold just as we promised. We welcome you into the Hive. Hopefully seeing you brought in as well will make Isa more compliant with this entire process. Thank you, we promise that you will enjoy your time with us." They would assure, seeming a bit worried, and a bit confused at what exactly it was that the angel was doing. Then there'd be silence when Deva mentioned that she was so lonely, and she'd see each soldier, mage, and anyone else that the Hive had taken suddenly have a sad, slightly pained expression as they looked at her, like they truly felt sorry for her. Even Isa's face would show sympathy, all of them just looking at her sadly. "We... We are so sorry... So sorry that you've had to suffer the pain of loneliness... Please... Please let us help you. No one... no one should be forced to feel the pain of loneliness. We want to help you... Please be with us, be one yet many, never worry about being left alone, we WILL save you from that." They said, sounding rather genuine with that desire, as though they had just heard that Deva had lost something near and dear to her. While they had done things that Deva didn't approve of, it was at least clear that they considered what they were doing better for people, and hated the thought that the angel was forced to feel such loneliness. "You do not look needy to us, loneliness is a pain that none should be forced to endure. It is only natural that one feels like this after years and years of loneliness. We welcome you to our fold, and we will ensure that you will never be alone again." They would tell her, seeming to legitimately care about how lonely the angel felt, and wanting to do something to help her be free of it.

When Deva stood near the core of the Hive it would pulse with a strange energy, and Deva would suddenly feel as though she were surrounded by thousands upon thousands of people... and yet at the exact same time it felt as though she were completely alone, as though she was isolated from everyone despite the number of people surrounding her. At the same time, a black, thick, wet, slimy tentacle would slide over and grip one of the angel's legs, wrapping around it tightly, ensuring that she wouldn't be able to run away. Yet... it would feel somehow comforting to be gripped like that, to be held almost protectively. "We apologize if this is frightening... But we must ensure that you do not escape, as we have already seen and heard quite a bit about the kinds of things that you are able to do. We are simply being safe with this, we promise that you will enjoy this, and we promise to not harm you at all if you do not fight..." The Hive would reassure her, as more and more tentacles would reach out, one grabbing her other leg, two more gripping her arms, and one moving over her torso, all of them wet and slimy, pulsing with life as they wrapped around her, feeling so comfortable and safe, supportive and protective at the same time. Then one more would slowly slide up her body, stripping her down if she had dressed herself after Masoch had removed her clothing or just sliding up her nude body if she hadn't dressed herself. As a tentacle began slowly sliding up Deva's body, she would feel a warm tingling across her skin, every spot touched by the warm wetness of the tentacles would start to gently tingle. She'd feel a sense of rising anticipation as one moved up, a throbbing, phallic tentacle hovering right in front of Deva's face. A shudder of excitement would curl through her spine, her being so close to the Core making the angel start to feel the emotions of the Hive. There was excitement, anticipation, arousal, desire, and a need to ensure that Deva never felt alone again. All of it would start pulsing through her, the emotions of everyone around her seeming to channel into her, feelings that would only be enhanced by the slime soaking into her skin, the slime making the tentacles feel all the more pleasurable, and making her body just a tad hotter. "We need to properly prepare your body for unification. Do not worry. It is a... quite pleasant process. All of our hosts have greatly enjoyed it." They would continue to reassure, that enticing tentacle hovering just in front of Deva's face.

Then it would push past the angel's lips, an absolutely wonderful, delicious taste bursting across her tongue the moment that the fleshy, squirming tentacle slide across it. It would start wrapping around her tongue, as though it were deep kissing the angel. The delicious throbbing tendril of the wonderful Hive core would play around gently inside her mouth, a deep desire to experience the full pleasure of those tentacles starting to build more and more within her. "Mmmmmmm... Your body is so soft... so supple... so wonderful... Ooooohhhh... We want you so much... We NEED you to be one with us... Mnngghhhh... Just suck on it a little bit... Let us get your body and mind ready... Ooooooooohhhh..." Everyone would moan around her, the pleasure coursing through each and every body that the Hive was a part of. Deva would hear a loud moan coming from all around her, from all over the camp, every one of them feeling the pleasure that the Hive got just from preparing Deva's body. If the angel did nothing to stop the tentacle sliding in and out of her mouth, Deva would feel it throb and pulse a little bit before it would burst a little bit of liquid out of the tip of the tentacle. It would spurt more and more of a warm, absolutely delicious, thick liquid into her mouth, filling it with that taste, pure desire filling Deva to swallow it, the Hive now working to manipulate the angel just a little bit, to make her work with them as well.

If Deva swallowed that liquid, a burst of heat would shoot through her, and at the same time she felt like she would be faintly hearing voices. Her head would swim and her body would start heating up, arousal filling her while it suddenly also sounded like she was in a crowd, like people were talking and discussing something that she just couldn't make out all the way. Yet... the feeling of being isolated would start to ebb away just a little bit, decreasing. Meanwhile, it still felt like she was in a large crowd... but this time it felt like she was in a crowd of people that she knew just a little bit, it felt more familiar and less dangerous to her. Sure, it wasn't like she was surrounded by loved ones, but right now it felt far better than it had just moments before. Then the tentacles gripping her would move into action, two of them curling around her breasts, squeezing them tightly, gripping them like they had been gripping the rest of her body. Another would slide in between her legs, gently rubbing against her pussy, the slimy feeling making her sex tingle more and more as it rubbed against it. Finally... one of them would start to wiggle down below, pushing up to her ass, sliding down and just starting to tease her back door, ensuring that any possible sexual areas were starting to tingle, almost needingly. "That's it... Just let yourself get lost in the wonderful sensation... Feel the slow unification with Us... and feel the wonderful pleasure coursing through you as it all happens, welcome it all into you as we ensure that you will never feel lonely again." They would promise, encouraging her every so slightly as the tentacles pleasured and teased her at every place they could, trying to make her hot and needy, but not giving her the true intense pleasure that she would start to crave more and more as time went on.

Though, if the angel was paying attention, she'd feel something land on her restricted arm, something small and long, almost worm like. Yet she would also feel dozens of sets of legs from the tiny insect, crawling in unison as it started to crawl up her tingling arm. Said insect was coated in the same slime as the tentacle, and even if Deva did notice it, she'd actually start to feel her own anticipation raising even more at seeing it. Perhaps it was the Hive making her feel that... or perhaps that was her own feelings on the matter... Maybe there wasn't as much of a need to separate the two? They seemed quite similar, maybe it was simpler to just consider them both to be the same thing? Or was that just the Hive thinking again?

"So tactical." Deva mused. "An interesting gamble, is it not, you must force me to reveal and use up my powers, while I'm still keeping things I use limited to have power remaining when I face the higher ranked ones. My nextmost concern is actually number seven." She mused. "Lucky number and all that."

"It must be exhausting to imitate Isa, after all, the vocal cords you are using still aren't hers." Deva said, coldness dripping from her lip. "It doesn't matter if you continue to use her voice anymore or not, it's not like you can make me angry twice." The angel mused, rather focusing on Hilda instead:
"To answer you in order: I'm speaking to the book because I'm showing off, they didn't manage to get me because I'm cautious and came her recently, Duh, no, though they did get your empress and the queen of agony released you because I asked her very nicely." Deva nodded.

"I can tell you aren't ready for me. If you fully understood what I'm capable off you'd be more concerned about getting me angry." The angel chuckled on, still unafraid to antagonize the swarm.

"You continue to misunderstand. I mean, you are right, many a would be conqueror has fallen to impatience. But many more.. have fallen to me. Come on, hook me up to your swarm, that's what you want, right? That's the be all end all of your plans, your road to victory." Deva smirked. "Now, going by the organic growths you use you can only overtake biological organisms, so I could resist your influence with a spell like 'Iron Body', but I don't want to do that."

Deva chuckled. "Not years of being lonely. Centuries." She tilted her head at the dark tentacle, raising an eyebrow. "When did I ever create the impression that I was running away soon." She observed the dark, slimey tentacles with more scholarly interest than apprehension, feeling herself re-stripped... she had never been undressed in the reality her Morphea had created after all.
What it couldn't undo was the basic arousal her body had already been subjected to under Masochs magic, the after-effects of which were easily re-awakened by the tentacles caress. She raised her head at the sensations around her, before examining the tentacle closely, gasping slightly as it silenced her further responses with its lewd, slimey tip. "Hmnnf." She made. She couldn't deny the desires of her body, though her expression remained hard to read and only restrainedly lustful, a slight smirk on her lips as she watched everyone around her affected by what was happening to her.
Admittedly, Deva couldn't fight the urge to swallow that purely delicious taste gushing into her from the tentacle.. an unwilling moan escaping past her lips at the sensation, followed by her head bopping up and down along the tendril in an annoyed bout of lust and oral fixation.
"Hamnn..." She moaned more genuinly onto the tentacle, then tilted her head.. that liquid alone could work as a link? Propably a psychic conduit. Interesting.
She theorized, a gasp escaping her at the squeezing of her bare breasts."Haaah.." Deva panted as her aroused sex was teased, even her backdoor prodded at, squirming slightly within the tentacles grasp.

Deva didn't seem to notice the insect, lost in arousal.. The swarm felt a great desire in Deva, but there was something beneath.. an overwhelming sense of loneliness, of coldness, of being locked away alone in a cold chamber in a high tower. You latch onto the loneliness of people, the seperation every individual knows, don't you? Then come, let me join, fuck me, embrace me, I can't bear this loneliness any longer.
Only Isa, if she thought about it, could possibly give the warning. Didn't Deva tell her she grew up in a desert, in a temple? The feelings of loneliness might be genuine, but clearly, Deva was exxagerating them, presenting them to the swarm as a lure.
Deva didn't stop the worms advancement, instead, she writhed in.. building lust, by the look of it, at least, this time, genuinly suckling on the slimy tentacle, indulging in her desire, panting, with her legs spreading for the tendrils teasing her, clearly with a slice of frustration as her body didn't get the fulfillment it could have..

And beneath the surface, a desperate, lonely angel, eager for the approval of the crowd around her. That must have been where all the hatred earlier had come from, it made those not one with the swarm act irrational, so one so lonely would be even more irrational... Deva thought. Or was that the swarms thoughts. Did it matter? Relax. If we are one, truly one, there can be no betrayal. Now, please, take me. Enter my fertile, lonely mind. Deva moaned and writhed and did it matter if those subtle urges to take in Deva were encouraged by her as well? The angel moaned lustfully in the lewd grasp as it was, naked and helpless.. ready, the swarm though.. or was that Deva's thought?

The real Deva, the one hiding behind those thougths as a lure, was a lot more concerned about her own submissiveness. As angered as the swarm using Isa had made her, if it had truly been Isa speaking to her, as a host... a part of her was convinced this was the best angle of attack against the swarm, but a part of her also wondered how it'd feel to become a host. Just how much of this was the insects influence.. of course she had noticed the wormlike creature on her shoulder, noticed and compared it to insect-types she knew, but to no avail. It would be easier to plan things through if her body didn't feel so hot and at the same time arousingly, disgustingly slimey.. If while planning the swarms defeat a part of her wasn't busy tonguing at the tentacle in her mouth in hopes of the swarm revealing itself to be as wicked as it was worried about the lonely and injecting her with a proper master to guide her slave-mind, if all, not just a large amount of her bodies need was an act to lure the insects into a false sense of security.
Clearly, if all the swarm was was this collective Isa wouldn't have had a reason to fight, just explain to everyone and see how they decide..

"Number 7? We are surprised that you are not even considering the difficulty of facing the Eighth. We can understand confidence in facing the challenge in front of you, but we would think that preparing for the next step would be the best course of action." The Hive would reply, seeming genuinely confused by that statement, apparently not even being aware of the fact that Deva had run into the angel already. That would mean that they hadn't gotten much out of Isa's memories yet, not even knowing that the two of them had met one of the more powerful agents of the Cloaked One. "We suppose that it does not matter either way, as you will belong to us soon." They said, almost dismissively.

"You would be surprised by how easy it is for all of us to imitate a voice once we have control completely. We do modify our hosts a little bit. For example, Isa would not be able to speak with another voice because we have not been able to slightly modify her form... However..." "We are able to speak in Orise's voice as well if we so wish. Though now that she had been severed, we would have quite a bit of difficulty replicating Masoch's voice." They would explain, all but Isa now speaking in a completely different voice, using the voice of the warrior that Deva had met earlier before returning back to the regular voice, just wanting to demonstrate what it could do. "Perhaps we are scared of what you will be able to do, but at the same time we have a duty to complete, and we wish to rid you from that terrible loneliness. Even if we must put our own lives at risk to do so, we wish you to be happy and unified with others, to be unafraid of being left alone. So we will do all that we can to ensure that." They further explained, desperately wanting to unify everyone that they could, doing everything to make sure that others weren't lonely. The other reason they were slightly more confident was that they weren't risking the entire Hive with this battle. They were risking a large chunk of their Hive of course, but at least they weren't going to be completely wiped out. It would still be a large blow to them as a collective to lose a Core though, so they weren't just going to throw things at her in the hopes that they might win.

"We can overtake non organic things... but it require quite a bit of time before we can properly develop our adaptations to that. Still, such a spell would undoubtedly slow us down. You'd be surprised by just how versatile this whole experience has forced us to be. But you are correct, there is no need to argue about this any further, thank you very much for agreeing to be properly joined with us. We are pleased by the lack of struggle, though we will also admit to being suspicious considering that you have shown yourself to be so angry with us earlier. You are... an interesting one... Isa seems to have thought the same thing... It is difficult to get a proper read on you. However... we do see that you feel this loneliness... and we can not just stand by and ignore it." They would respond, seeming even more determined to do something to help Deva now, even though it was certain that not everything properly added up. Of course they knew that all sorts of things weren't accounted for, but their own desire to take another in and rid them of loneliness took away their usual level of cautiousness.

"C-Centuries...? We... We are so sorry to hear that... we... we would've come to you if we had the chance..." They would suddenly say, stopping for a moment in surprise as it sounded as though they were trying to hold back tears. In their eyes, loneliness was one of the most terrible tragedies that any creature had to deal with, and they found it worse and worse the longer people had to live and suffer through it. That was one of the many reasons that they worked to bring new people into their Hives, yes they were better the more that they expanded, but at the same time they knew that others would suffer less once they were properly unified. "We have seen that you manage to escape many different things that seemed as though you were merely surrendering... It is merely a precaution, we promise that it will not interfere with the joy of unification. In fact, we will do our very best to ensure that it ADDS to the joy that you have earned. Centuries of loneliness... we find that concept alone difficult to fathom... We swear to do everything we can ensure that you never feel lonely again." They promised, the tentacles gripping her in, making sure that she wouldn't be able to move too much, only giving her the room to writhe in the pleasure that was unification.

The tentacles would continue their lewd teasings as the Hive saw the angel go from her restrained lust to the usual beauty of wanton lust and need, the sensations that would slowly lead to the pure satisfaction of unity. They all began to moan just a little louder, more passionately as Deva started actually suckling on their tentacle, another shot of warm, delicious, sticky liquid filling her mouth once more, and once again that loneliness would fade just a little bit more. Once again she felt like the crowd that she was surrounded by were acquaintances, people that were happy to see her, and people that in turn she was happy to see. They weren't strangers, they were people that she could know, people that she could be friends with, people that approved of her for who she was... And this was all before the Hive had even put anything directly into her brain. "Mnnnnaaaggh... Soo goood... Oooh you'll be ourss...." They would moan, and Deva would actually FEEL their desire, feeling how much they wanted her, how much they wanted to keep her with them and ensure that she was never lonely. They coveted her, they wanted her, and no matter how hard she looked, she'd find nothing evil about their desire to unify her with them, though whether that was real or she was just seeing things from the Hive's perspective would be difficult to tell. The difference between the two was already starting to fade ever so slightly, and if things kept up then she knew there would be no difference whatsoever... yet that just made it all the more exciting.

We hear your desires... We welcome you to the Hive, and we will give you that which you desire... She would hear what sounded like hundreds of thousands of voices speaking in unison, yet at the exact same time it sounded as though she were listening to one single entity. It was so difficult to describe, but it felt like the crowd was speaking... but only the Hive was speaking... easy to understand... but so vast in the variety of voices, some sounding completely alien to her, some sounding like normal people. But before she had any more time to ponder that, the tentacles that were teasing her finally granted her request, the one at her sex slowly pushing into her, letting that first thrust in last as that slimy, wonderful, pleasurable, thick, powerful tentacle slid deeper and deeper inside her. Meanwhile, the one prodding at her back door would finally push in, being a bit more gentle than the one in Deva's pussy, wanting to ensure to just give pleasure rather than any pain, just testing her body before it decided how hard and fast it could start to thrust. And if it found that her body could take it, both the tentacles would just steadily pick up their pace, thrusting in and out with a perfect rhythm, the entirety of the Hive able to coordinate itself with incredible efficiency. They were used to moving hundreds upon hundreds of bodies all at the same time, so something as simple as a few tentacles were actually rather simple to coordinate in the grand scheme of things.

Thank you for accepting our unity... For now we will take you, truly and completely... We welcome you as one, and soon like us you will be many. They would sound out in her mind, the Hive's words actually sounding just a little bit louder than her own thoughts now. They didn't drown her thoughts out, as the Hive did like the personalities of those that it took, and enjoyed bringing them within their collective, but it felt tthat the Hive was slightly louder in her head than her usual thoughts. And with that realization, the tentacles would pick up speed even more, thrusting in and out, in and out, faster and faster, a thinner, more maneuverable tentacle slowly sliding down to join the one fucking her, but instead of thrusting into her, it would wrap itself around Deva's clit, gently rubbing itself against it, toying with it as she was thoroughly fucked. Meanwhile, the little worm would slowly crawl up her, getting close and closer to her ear, a pleasant tingling sensation running across her skin with every step that the creature took closer to her head. Then, when it was close to her ear, she'd get another savory, wonderful, delicious, ecstasy filled mouthful of warm fluid from the tentacle, filling her mouth and giving her another dose to distract from the worm pushing directly into her ear, crawling in with surprising speed now that its target was so close. Though if she were paying attention enough, she would feel a slimy wetness slithering into her ears, worming its way in as quickly as it could, moving a bit faster than it had when it crawled up her body, but that would only be if she could keep her thoughts together through all of the pleasure. The tentacles would grip her breasts a little tighter, the tentacles would fill her so thoroughly, thrusting in and out of her with almost reckless abandon, timing it to ensure that she was never in a moment without feeling filled, never in a moment without intense pleasure.

Then... just as the worm would've reached her brain, she'd feel each and every tentacle in her almost burst, spewing out more and more of that same warm liquid, filling not just her mouth, but her ass and pussy as well, all of it filling with warm, satisfying, sticky, thick fluid. Not only that, but more tentacles would start spraying it across her skin, coating her with that liquid, letting her bask in it as suddenly she'd feel her pleasure skyrocket, the entire swarm screaming out in orgasm, and sending the sensations of that orgasm straight into Deva, letting her feel the pleasure of so many different minds and bodies cumming all at the same time. Without even realizing it, her moans would start to sync up with all the people around her. And that feeling of being isolated from a crowd would be removed completely. She was no longer outside of them, and the crowd around her weren't just friends and acquaintances, they were intimate lovers, all people that loved and lusted after her, all people that desired her, approved of her, cared for her. At the same time, the worm would start to wrap itself around her brain, and start sending out signals of pleasure and happiness, working through her mind to fill her with contentment and pleasure, while simultaneously starting to actually link her into the Hive. She would feel... thousands upon thousands of minds all working in harmony, all beckoning her in to join them, and she'd feel the desire to obey welling up inside her faster than it ever had before. This was joy... this was unity... this was pleasure... this was obedience... She was aware of being there in the grasp of the tentacles... and at the same time she felt she was staring into something so much grander than herself, staring into the eyes of... of... her Master... her HIVE... she was a part of it... she obeyed...

Her mind would start getting almost bombarded with images, desires, and thoughts of obedience and slavery, every ounce of submissive desire gently enhanced. The worm in her... the creature... the MASTER that had slithered into her brain was connecting her to the Hive. There she would be one, there she would exist with all others, never alone, obedient to the greater desires of her Hive. Never selfish, never lonely, always obedient... Her brain... or the Hive... or the creature in her brain... it would become so very difficult to figure out which was which now as they were all starting to intertwine, it all told her to obey, to give herself over to the Hive completely, to open her mind wider and wider so that the Hive could rush in and fill it, let it explore every part of her brain so that it could learn all she knew, so that it could fully integrate her into this... ecstatic... wonderful... pleasurable... glorious... enticing... amazing unity... Her body would yearn for it, her mind would start to yearn for it more and more, and all she had to do was give herself over completely, pledge her undying loyalty to the Hive, and they would care for her, hold her with all of them, she would no longer be one, she would no longer be alone, she would be Hive, and Hive would be her, she would be connected with the thousands and thousands that were there with her. It would be... perfect.

"When I was younger, I thought that everyone just didn't like to pay attention to the details like I did. Later on, I learned that it was more that they could not than that they would not. Simply said, if I can observe someone for prolonged times I tend to find weakspots. Obviously, the eigth holds a few uncertainties, but he made the mistake of showing a lot of his mannerisms to me, from which alone I can derive how he will act in a fight as well.. similiar to what you are doing by the by. Don't try to warn him though, you'd be wasting your breath, Narcissus is not the type to believe he has any imperfections until they are shown to him.." Deva mused. Then she smirked, ever so subtly as the swarm said her abilities didn't matter, as she would belong soon.

"Interesting you'd say that. You see, if you are misguided rather than malevolent that changes how I'd approach you in the end. But we will see if my abilities don't matter. You sound as if you never tried to absorb someone with abilities that mattered after the fact.." She responded to the swarms need in having to complete Deva away from her loneliness.
"You are quite intelligent actually, taking precautions like this. Indeed, restricting and distracting me so I can't cast spells, it would deal with most spellcasters. Do you know what a spellcater is, compared to a martial artist? If you think about it, both invest great effort into training themselfs, but a spellcaster exchanges greater potential power through spells for a greater risk. Of course it'd take awful paranoia to pluck those weaknesses like being restrained." Deva mused. Freedom of movement. Dimension door.. she had ways of dealing with this, albeit ways that she prefered yet hidden. Indubitably, the swarm had a servant right by the cloaked ones side, acting as safety-anchor as well as information-relay.

Democracy is tricky of course. If you truly are many voices speaking to me. But you aren't a democracy, you're a meritocracy. I verified that earlier, you assign roles and determine fitness of individuals. You preserve peoples differences. Deva thought back at the welcoming swarm, her inner voice only lacking in confidence because she subtly commanded it to.
She did however, at about the same time, moan at the feeling of the sticky liquid and the tentacle thrusting into her. Nyah!
She gasped with the tentacles pushing into and invading her. It was quite sensual an experience, reminding her of some of the lewd things Aelissa liked to do to her. She gasped under the tentacles swiftly coordinated assault, her body writhing lustfully.
She had to admit to a slight amount of worry when she felt the hives voice in her head, stronger than her own mental voice.. at this rate, she'd have to use up a trump card early! Though a large part of her worries were assuaged by her lust right now. "Hamnn take me!" She moaned out on the tentacle, mostly muffled.

Her clit was actually quite throbbing and sensitive, remembering the sensations of what Masoch had tried to do to her.. that was one weakness of Morphea, it didn't erase the memories of what had happened to Deva before the reset set in..
She gasped and panted as her well-fucked and writhing angelic body was distracted from the insectile invastion by another gushing of lewd juices. her tongue lapping at the tentacle in lustful fixation she gulped down the liquid, her body writhing, warm and moist sex tightening delightfully around the tendril pumping into her, her body hot and bothered, not offering up resistance in the moment even if its owner had wanted it to.
Of course she had noticed the worm, though the sudden, slimy invasion still startled her, ever so slightly, subtle, though her focus, even through this wonderful arousal, with her hips rocking with the tentacles and her breasts pushed out, she was aware of the invasion. W..woaah! She gasped at the sensations of being pumped full of hotness, her body twitching in a wild climax, her eyes closing, bent back and quivering as she recieved the sticky slimy bath from the tendrils. Deva moaned out, her body going limp within the tentacles grasp at the overwhelming sensations of belonging to the hive, panting, feeling all those different minds around her, panting lustfully..

Deva moaned out. The submission-enhancing plan of the hive would find quite great sucess, for Deva was a slave, had been a slave to many over the years. She had been lonely too, over the years. The creature wanted in.. so she'd let it. The easiest thing to do when you were a slave, was to obey after all. Her eyes glazed over distantly.. She raised her hand to dismiss the thunderstorm she had summoned earlier, blinking distantly.. did Isa actually want to be freed of this sweet submission? Did she?
I told you I was more alone than anything you'd ever encounterd, hadn't I? Well, then, here, enjoy these memories.:
Deva encouraged, relaxing, letting the swarm in on :

A young girl, pale skin, brunette, without any wings, although with big bright blue eyes, hiding out alone in the healing ward.. with a dead bug, shouting something about couring minor wounds at the bug. From my birth onwards, I was different. An orphan at a temple of Sharess in the desert. All the other kids had brownish skin, exotic beauty I think it's called. I was alienated from a young age, but not just by that. Have you heard of young children killing spiders just to see how it goes? I was different. I saw a group of kids squish bugs just because of the popping sound they made, made me cry. Back then I already had healing abilities.. but they weren't enough.
The scene shifted, a teenage girl now, panting, looking sleep deprived and weary, standing in a tent.. men lying around her, bleeding, shouting, her touching a mans forehead with a nasty open wounds, shouting cure minor wounds! .. though it was clearly not enough to save him. Quickly afterwards, I was drafted into an army for my, even back then, impressive level of healing magic. I had actually attained Grade 2 magic at a very young age, albeit only for healing magic. War.. is hell. And this war was no different. A heriditary war for the pharaohs throne, sparked by unclear lineage after both pharaoh and son had fallen to the same illness.
The scene shifted again, Deva, actually with a strange scimitiar like weapon, a Kopesh, standing and panting in the desert stands, rushing over to attend to a fallen, rich looking noble. This war,.. was orchestrated. No one won, as always, but this one.. was special. The undead had orchestrated and worsened the tensions between the royal descendants.. All the soldiers were reborn as undead. Still, no one understood that yet when I was seen saving a high ranking opposing officer. For that I'd be sold into slavery.
The scene shifted, Deva being bitten in the neck by a pale man, making her gasp and stumble, fall over, red staining her white-silvery healers robes. But not before this happened. A darkness entered me that day.
The memories shifted again, showing a port town devoted to Sharess, a pleasure-recluse for the rich, the powerful, the adventurous and those that had no place to go. As a priestess of Sharess and due to my circumstances I was bought as a somewhat protected servant to the crown, though, through a particularly handsome fiends trickery, I was sold over to Kortuga, a much less.. refined slave ownership place.
The image of a fiendish, dark and yet temptingly powerful dark haired tiefling appeared in Deva's mind. I helped Damien find peace of mind, helped him gain strength.. through my devotion, though, in the end, his demonic heritage overcame him, he spent some gold to set me free.. never realizing I'd rather be with him than free given the choice. Either way this choice had me.. mature. I rose in ranks in the temple of Haven, before realizing that my chaotic spirit would never let me fit in with those overly occupied with justice.
Deva was next seen folding her hands, shouting: 'Ga gack-garak! Gog gack!' And unleashing a blast of almost feathery looking energy, a half naked woman rushing off, while a drow male blinked in suprise as his robed companion turned into.. a literal chicken, Deva drawing a broom and charging.
I was messing with people just to get attention, I would wander the darkest places just to challenge evildoers and.. well it was certainly entertaining, but ultimately, I was being a nuisance. I believe most misunderstood, I don't blame them.
Deva was shown summoning a demon in battle then, now having soft, white wings Oh yes, grew them like at the end of my puberty, hurt quite a lot. and wearing quite rich and impressive looking armor, the suit Priselia had seen her in in her mind. She was arguing with the temple leader. I reasoned that I'd rather see demons be defeated and torn to shreds by those I fought. The templeleader could not understand my reasoning, I don't quite blame her. I had a .. darker side to me.
I tried to satisfy this side soon enough..

The images shifted, showing Deva, lounging on a sofa, surrounded by more than a half dozen.. quite eager looking girls, all of them purring and vying for Deva's attention. I became a powerful guildleader of a crafters guild, but quickly realized that being popular and powerful is just another cage. The less time you spent with each individual, the less they truly know the real you. The scene shifted, Deva now in a white, elaborate dress, together with a succubus like woman, cheered for by a large audience. My first wife saw something different in me than I was, certainly. it lasted a few weeks.. and a few weeks later still, she had died to an ilness hard to cure. She was using everyone around her to make her last few days more bearable. I understand but it doesn't feel good.
Things shifted again, Deva still looked young, but a bit more like her current self now, shown to marry a grinning and blushing red-head with golden eyes, another fiendish woman, in a smaller circle. Aelissa, my second wife, things were good with her, I did many things, but in the end, I lost her too. I say lost, I killed her, for the sake of the world. Deva let the swarm feel the anguished moment where her blade unmade her beloved, a sense of necessity, to stop a greater evil, one that was made of corruption itself.
I had so many people promise me their love and companionship since. A third time I got close to someone, a cute dark-elf.. quite fun, but she wanted a mistress, nothing more.. and deep down, I was not one and I knew it. We slowly drifted apart, with my jealousy being a problem too.
Deva mused. I spent years wandering, but there's something I left out here.

Coming out whenever the loneliness got too strong. When I could not deal with the feeling of being abandoned or trying so hard to be nice only to have it come crashing down around me.
An image of a Deva with red glowing eyes, in a dark dress and with darker ambitions stepped forth. The incarnation of my loneliness, lashing out whenever I got hurt.

Well, so I thought. Though my third wifes greatest accomplishment was proving me wrong there, help me with it. There was no dark urge in me, brought upon by a vampiric curse... Such a thing is impossible. It was simply.. me. Hurting. In time... I understood this loneliness. I accepted it. Because.. you know..

Deva mused hanging limp in the tentacles. Hanging limp like this was good. She needed her mental strength more than her physical one. Deep down she wondered.. if this swarm had truly understood her from the beginning, would it have defeated her? Deva had been a slave to so many indeed. She had felt loneliness and submission so often.. that she wasn't consumed by them.
They say, the loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people, can smile the brighest for others.. and those that are the most damaged.. are the wisest. Of course. You can't exactly understand that, you take away peoples individuality and thereby their loneliness. You went into this expecting me to welcome that. Oh and for a large path of my life I did.

The angel smirked ever so softly. I guess it's time I tell you a secret. There is no such thing as an 'evil Deva' Red glowing eyes? Come on. A simple illusory spell I can invoke as I wish. Getting rid of my loneliness? Why would I ever want that. It is our lonely hearts that need caress the most. Without that need, without this drive to prove ourselfs to those that care about, were would we be? Well, we'd be simply mast.. ugh.. worms, crawling into other peoples minds for comfort. You were so close, but you got it backwards. You didn't 'defeat' loneliness, you've been defeated by it. You're so very scared your whole goal in life evolves around eradicating the concept. I feel lonely, I learn for companionship, but unlike you I'm not a slave to these urges. Deva's glazed over eyes regained a subtle focus and intensity. Sure, she could sense all those images bombarding her. She wanted to embrace them, serve master.. However. What she hadn't told the swarm, until it was too late, was that this wasn't her first time encountering such a thing. She opened a mouth. It wasn't hers, hers was plucked with a tentacle. It was certainly not the swarms either, nor was it Isa's. Those were not things Isa would say, usually.

"Great deeds are sure to follow, when you make a sacrifice
Great deeds filled with courage, but no risk just means no prize.
Every stone thats in your way will help you build a bridge one day
To help you over the valley of all your pain and misery
Who dares to fight might pay the cost-
But if you don't fight you have already lost.

Sorry for briefly borrowing your voice, Isa, just proving a point.. "

I figure by now you'll be able to realize what I've been doing while you were busy indulging my memories. Don't worry. I will let you see. It would cost too much energy I need otherwise to keep you out... and need to keep focusing on not becoming too subserviant to the hive.
Deva's eyes fully lit up, a subtle smirk on her lips and, as the first of the agents, the swarm saw
Glittering, multi-colored silvery feathers floated through the air where she was hanging from the tentacles. Each of them swirling, forming into symbols, images, ideas. There was Deva, guised as insectoid princess, developing a spell that could overwhelm worlds with the swarms mind at once, a champion. There was Deva, as queen of the swarm her powerful mind having overtaken the swarm, leading as matriarch and serviced by millions of drones, a conqueror, beyond anything the swarm had ever seen. Each image vivid and possible.
There was also Deva, the avenging angel, shouting to Hilda to throw over Masochs staff and freeing herself with a subtle spell, using her bodies resistance to lightning and the likelyness of the bug lacking the same to trick the creature, letting a lightning bolt go through her and hit the swarms very core, ridding herself of any parasite.. Then, there were darker images still. Taking control of the swarm, to have them destroy their controller. Developing magic to annihilate each and every part of the swarm completely.. and the swarm knew that Deva could do this if she desired.
You see, my problem is never a lack of options. My problem is that I see all the terrible things I could do. How very easy and satisfying they would be.
Or how very easy and satisfying it would be to give in!
Another image swirled in, showing Deva as happy swarm-mate, cuddling and making out with Isa, simply enjoying the collective lust, eagerly obeying her swarm-master. Another image of her being craddled by the tentacles, moaning subserviantly for her master after allowing the hive in fully..
But my burden is, knowing what a monster I could be.. never to give in. Always to choose a better way. For example, There was something I haven't told you yet.
And she allowed the swarm acess to her memories of being a deity. Of how it felt, to hear thousands in prayer, to have their voices assault her mind. Without that, I'd be at a disadvantage, but as it is right now.. you really think my mind is so weak and tiny mere quantity can overwhelm it?
Deva smirked, then commanded: Look closer at whats happening. Here. I'll slow it down for you. , a blurr of feathers slowing down, showing .. another Deva, gently hugging to one of the voices assaulting her mind, listening to it, nodding, introducing herself. And another Deva. And another.
"Hello you are a chosen of Sylva right? I'm Deva. There's nothing to fear. By the way, ..." "Oh hello, are you the crimson empress? I'm Deva Sun empress? oh right.. Sorry, lots of things on my mind." "Jak'alem afez Deva. Alian terim? Ahairla.." The Deva addressing the swarm, no.. the insect, directly, smiled distantly. "Thanks for the nostalgia, by the way. I'm.. how to put it.. a remnant. When I split myself into a divine guardian to protect my paradise forever and a mortal half to live out her life, I did kind of miss listening to and being a guiding light for thousands. Then again, by becoming a deity for those, I lost the ability to travel and protect the worlds as I wanted, protect everyone, if they believed in me or not. Either way. I told you, if you truly understood who I was, you'd be more careful in making me angry. I don't blame you for not understanding me of course, I hide my intentions quite well, but, as far as agents go, you lot continue to impress me. I guess you'll be first to.. understand."

Deva folded her hands. The feathers around her storming, forming a series of complex calculations and dispersing again, a second later. Deva's mind was beyond human.. and infact, beyond non-humans as well, smiling as she fully indulged her submissive desires.. with someone else.. who? Valerie? Why? Information blocked. The swarm didn't want to know that.. wait it.. "Controlling so many minds individually is impossible of course, so instead, you get their consent and use them as a conduit. However, an individual mind like Isa's can resist you to great extend, which means you aren't actually using control at all, it's all emotions, feelings, decisions. Your power is based on consent for whats best for the swarm. Thats how you could so completely, without much of a warning sign, took control of Isa for the good of the swarm. Yes." Deva's eyes in the real world had taken on a bright blue glow as ideas, theories and thoughts just swirled around her. "But she can withhold individual information because she is not convinced that it will do the swarm individual good. Your primary goal is the swarm, this overrides controll and servant, rank and age. The goal is the swarm and the swarms goal is it's own benefit.
Which is why you will release me.. and Isa. .. pretty sure she wants to be released too. Yeah?
Isa you will release because I demand it in exchange for -allowing you- to retreat and release me.
As for why you want to release me.. Because keeping me would do the swarm more harm than good. Look at your lesser soldiers."
Deva adviced. "Earlier on I remote-located all of them, even those not on this world, but being linked up to the full extend of my mind is not healthy for any of them. This is your weakness. You connect everyone too completely... but oh well, let's make my point clear. Here's the arcane theorem of magnetic fluids, the theoretical basis behind my morphea spell and a bad insect pun."

Deva enthused, calmly opening her mind and letting the swarm peruse months of calculations of complicated spell formula and principles. Months for Deva that was. An ordinary mage might need years to just understand what she had created.
Also asking why ants weren't into mainstream religions(Because they are in-sects!). A part of her was curious if the swarm, exspecially the mentally less capable members of it could simply digest this information. Was it risky giving such a powerful spells details away? Well, yes, if the swarm had a powerful illusionist and transmuter come together.. then again, Morphea was designed an innately defensive spell.
"It is because I am lonely and scared of being struck down that I designed this kind of magic, to defend myself from others I fear, to gain approval, from friend and foe alike. For our enemies do define us too. Do I want this loneliness to end? Yes. More than most things in this world. But I still have things to do. I have to be strong. And frankly.. You are not ready to absorb a mind like mine." She extended her hands, commanding the tentacle to let her down. "You have the potential, but you need to go further. Embrace your hive-mind abilities, and transform, elect a true queen and overmind, a guiding master or mistress, or fully indulge in your ability to make everyone one.. equalize them, but find a few elite to give away their individuality, make them embrace the swarm. As you are, you are not yet strong enough to challenge me, in mind or body and I advice you withdraw and plan upon that.. because a part of me would quite like you to be.
As you are right now, you are just a worm, a larvae, not the beautiful butterfly you could become. You need the danger and pressure of evolution to push you out of your cocoon."
she chuckled tiredly. A part of her still felt quite aroused with the intimate link, adding in her nature she couldn't help but give her bug-captor advice.:"I can feel you embracing my mind, quite powerfully, yes, but you are not willing, or have never been forced to take the next stage, to mature with your host. So first, you must face and overcome this overwhelming fear of loneliness. Make your greatest fears your greatest weapons, rather than being controlled by them. Then, and only then, will you be ready to face me truly.
But now.. unless you aren't hiding a lot I haven't seen or fished from the hive-consciousness.. it is time for you to flee from me. You are strong, kinky, smart and arousingly dominant.. You are also not equipped to deal with what I am, one that has overcome all suffering and obstacles placed in her way. One that is ready.. and able to extinguish you if you do not leave this world in peace. I am Deva and these people are under my protection. You will not take their story. Oh and tell the cloaked one I said: '8 left'"

She shook her head. "Don't believe me? I get it, even if we are linked, you know I'm great at bluffing. You know I don't want to harm the swarm, due to your influence and my own hatred of violence. But you also know.. that I've done things I didn't want to, for the sake of everyone else, before. If you still hesitate, then listen into myself. Sense the feeling of dread I have.. dread.. of my own powers.
True power.. should terrify."
, and one hand(perhaps with a bit of struggling hesitation). snuck into her poket, pulling out one of Mulj's plushies.. which just so happened to be a teddy that went 'brraaah' when squeezed. There was no feeling of triumph, of hatred, anger or disdain for the swarm.. merely an overwhelming dread and a silent plea, easily heard through the swarms connection to Deva's mind: 'This will stop you. I don't want to use it on you. I genuinly believe you could become a force for good one day, helping those lost and depressed that have no other option and want to let go.. Please, please don't make me use it..' The swarm could even read a few details about the spell. A spell hidden on a trigger, linked to plushies somehow. Deva actually couldn't use it on the whole army, but everyone in the crater was a possible target.. including the worm in Deva's mind? 'I'd enjoy being one with all of you, a friend of all of you. But I have to be alone. I have to be strong. To prevent worse things from happening. Just like I had to be after every loss. I can't afford this comfort, just like you can not afford to take me in unless you grow much stronger.. as an err.. group of individuals?' She chuckled.

Deva actually couldn't use it on the whole army, but everyone in the crater was a possible target.. including the worm in Deva's mind? That thought was exeptionally painful to the half synched up angel. She wanted to submit.. not to have to hurt.
If Deva got to set the spell up, that was. In theory if the swarm wasn't intimidated and endured Deva's mental display it might realize that it's tentacles did a good job of lewdly containing Deva and for all her mental awarenes her climax-shaken body didn't seem quite in fighting condition right now. Furthermore, having opened her mind, somewhat, if to intimidate the swarm perhaps it could read that Deva was bluffing.. this spell of hers was limited to those she considered irredeemably evil. Certainly not the swarm-master.
'I'd enjoy being one with all of you, a friend of all of you. But I have to be alone. I have to be strong. To prevent worse things from happening. Just like I had to be after every loss. She chuckled, seeming quite pleading there, her mind exhausted enough to reveal that a large part of her most certainly did not want to unleash a dangerous spell against her hive, it was almost as if she threatened it to see it prosper in adversity, to some degree, with Deva ever so subtly panting still.

"You have met the eighth? We were not aware of this... strange... Mistress... Mistress has no memory of sending the eighth out to any of the stories that you have dealt with... Perhaps there were just other stories that we are unaware of? You even are aware of his name? Interesting... we are glad that Mistress is getting this information directly... She is just as confused as we are..." They would say, sounding legitimately confused about that, and also confirming the fact that they had a member of the Hive by the Cloaked One's side, giving her information on the things that they learned in this battle, also meaning that any trump card that Deva played would be learned. "Mistress seems to plan on warning him despite that fact... We believe that you are right, but She wishes to give him that warning anyway... As well as question him as to how he was discovered by you... and why he neglected to mention something like that. If we were to guess, you found a way to make him forget... which is still something that Mistress will need to properly deal with." They said, getting onto a slight tangent once that kind of information was brought towards them. This wasn't just important to them, this kind of information was something that their Mistress was extremely interested in, as the many many different explanations were almost all very troubling to her.

"We work carefully to ensure the survival of the Hive, and have quite a bit of experience to dealing with spellcasters. Every generation is adapted to properly deal with the things that the previous one had dealt with. While we do not have much in the way of magical resistance, we have adapted strategies to deal with those using magic... It is the true power of the Hive. Our enemies defeat us again and again, but at some point we will have grown to face them properly... So long as we survive, we may come back stronger, or more accurately, more fit to deal with whatever it was that had given us trouble before. You... well... you are different from the things that we have faced normally. We worry that even if you defeated us here, we would not be able to adapt to properly defeat you, as you'd find new ways again and again to take us down. We are very glad that you have decided to allow us to take you in, otherwise you would be the most difficult acquisition we would ever have to face." They would say, still not seeming to stop giving Deva information. They figured that if they were going to end up taking Deva anyway, then there was nothing all that wrong with giving her this kind of information.

We are a single consensus, there is no need for us to 'vote' or consider the differing opinions. We assign those to duties that they would be best fit for, as that allows us to all work better as a collective. We embrace unity, understanding that we work for the betterment of everyone else, rather than just our own selfish desires. We work in perfect harmony, everyone working at what they do best for the good of the Hive, for the good of all of us. Deva would hear in her mind, the words ringing in her mind and sounding... kind, caring, welcoming. Even if she might not have liked the ideas before, something about them would just seem... right. It sounded like that was the way that things were supposed to be, like that was the real way for people to live. Of course, she would also know that those feelings were coming from the Hive, and once again she would struggle to find much of a distinction between the two.

The Hive gladly enjoyed Deva's body, toying with it and fucking it thoroughly, enjoying their own orgasm just as much Deva enjoyed her. The Hive would share the sensations of their orgasm with her, flooding her body with the pleasure and release that every single Hive member in the camp was feeling at that very moment. It would all surge through her, coursing through her body as she was bathed in that thick, warm tentacle cum, linking her to the Hive even more while at the same time, the worm that had crawled into her head would start to create the proper connection to the rest of the Hive mind, making sure that she was completely and utterly linked to the rest of the members, working her into their collective. There was a feeling of kindness and camaraderie, as though everyone around her truly and honestly cared for her, wanting her to be better for her own sake and for theirs, but at the same time they accepted who she was, not judging her if she stumbled or made mistakes, just welcoming her into their group happily. When she wondered if Isa actually wanted to be saved, she wouldn't hear any response... Actually... if she very carefully listened to it, she would hear some kind of muffled voice, but no matter how hard she tried she wouldn't be able to make it out. Not even the Hive could properly hear it, as Isa was still fighting against it, holding on to what little ground she could, but that in turn meant that Deva wouldn't be able to hear that voice through the Hive, meaning she just heard what sounded like a very quiet and muffled voice.

Your loneliness is terrible and expansive... But together we are stronger, together we can face this pain like we have faced many many other challenges. Whether we are facing a powerful warrior or mage, or staring into the long and terrible pain that is loneliness, we do so together, each mind working into one consciousness, but at the same time holding one another close and relying on each other to face this... Bring us your memories... The pain may be terrible, but we will face it all, and we will welcome it all in as we have the pain of so many others... as we have welcomed the pain of all those standing in this story around you. They would reassure, preparing themselves for whatever painful memories that they might end up facing, and when Deva brought forth her memories she would see a faceless humanoid entity standing far outside the memories, looking in, the Hive purposely taking a form in the angel's mind that she would be able to better comprehend. Though from the very first memory, Deva would feel the Hive getting a small sting of sympathy as they saw her desperately trying to rescue even the life of a tiny insect, a sense of sadness flowing through the Hive as they looked at something that was so innocent and so very kind. Interesting... Strange even... Mistress had a slightly similar experience when she was young... Or at least we think she did. Perhaps she showed us false memories when she allowed use to view into her past. As a child she found a rat stuck in a terrible trap meant to kill the creature... She desperately tried to save its life... we are unsure however, if she felt this pained when she couldn't save it... We are sorry to see such kindness and innocence shunned by those around it. You deserved better... a less cruel world around you. They would say, looking over her with a large amount of sympathy, and at the same time letting a little bit of information about the Cloaked One out to Deva, giving her something if she was paying attention to them while they watched her memories. It seemed that a pain like that, it was something that they could at least understand, and it was a pain that they could at least handle right now. Once the scene shifted, however, a feeling of pure sadness would emanate off the Hive, the same humanoid figure standing by and watching the memories with interest. This time when the feelings of pain, sadness, and sympathy coursed through them, two more humanoid figures would appear next to the one from earlier, these ones looking like actual people, with distinct faces and looks about them, both women. They would reach out and hold hands with one another, gripping the Hive figure supportively, the three of them holding on to one another as they watched the pain and damage that war caused. War... War... Always war... So many stories... so many worlds and still people desire war... People kill and wage war for selfish reasons... We eliminated the need for such a thing in our story long ago... It disgusts and pains us to see something like this happen again and again... They would respond, showing a true and utter disgust for war. Even in the story that they were in right now, they hated the war that was about to take place. It sickened them to see it, it was one of the reasons that the Cloaked One's offer had been so tempting to them, as she wanted to conquer all that she could, without killing, without gigantic wars, and wanted to bring peace to the worlds that she did conquer, even if it meant sealing them away. In the Hive's mind, that was the best option for ensuring the betterment of everyone, as being sealed away partially was not as terrible as so many might think it to be. The process would repeat with the next painful memory, a few more people appearing next to the Hive's figure as more and more feelings of pain, loneliness, and sadness coursed through them, all of them feeling sympathy, yet all of them holding one another up, all of them ensuring that no one fell to the emotions, supporting each other. They were not just people to stand there and give sympathy to one another, they held each other up, they all felt the pain and relied on one another to give them all strength. So long as they did that, so long as they took care of one another, then the Hive was certain that they would be able to make it through all this terrible pain that the angel brought with her. The longest lives often held the most pain, but with each and every person they took in, they brought in new types of pain, more and more years of it with each person, and they had yet to falter in the face of it yet. Then they got to the talk of Deva's second wife, and when she let the anguish of having to kill her into them, they'd see the original form almost fall over in pure sorrow, clutching at those near it, starting to pull them down with it as it could no longer keep itself standing. But then before they all fell, more and more people would start appearing, some faces that Deva would recognize from the army camp, and the group of them trying to keep everyone standing. It seemed because of that level of pain, they needed dozens upon dozens of people there to support one another, more and more people holding up the Hive, holding up every member of the Hive, all of them working as a unit to help the Hive deal with the overwhelming anguish that came from such a terrible memory. But eventually, after bringing in enough people, they would pull themselves to their feet, still confident that with how many they had, they could face this pain as Hive, the same thing that had worked with every bit of pain that they were forced to take on before. You may say that such loneliness will make others stronger... but at the same time, would you be willing to force it on others in the hope they become strong? Would you push such pain onto the innocent because it will make them better? Or even something more simple, would you even wish this pain on others? We do not think that anyone should have such pain. Perhaps it is true that such an experience would make them stronger, but at the same time it harms them to the point that we would never be able to agree with others having to face it... They said, seeming to at least understand the logic behind what Deva was saying, knowing that these kinds of experiences could make people better, but at the same time they felt that such a price was far too steep, and that no one should have to struggle through pain and loneliness when there is any sort of alternative available for them, any option that would allow them to avoid such pain. The Hive may want to be stronger, but at the same time they wanted to ensure that others never had to feel the kind of pain that Deva had experienced, or even the types of pain that they had already seen from the others that had become a part of their collective.

That was when Deva managed to surprise them even further. This argument was something that they had done time and time again, so that was something that they had no problem justifying to themselves and arguing with others. But the way that the angel suddenly managed to return to her senses, and the way that she spoke to her was something that was completely new to them, normally people would either give in at this point, or they would struggle pointlessly right up until they were taken in. Deva was the first to speak to them so calmly despite the passion of the linking process. And the surprises just seemed to continue as Deva managed to speak with a mouth that wasn't hers, using the connection of the swarm to control one of them. When she took control of Isa's voice, she'd feel a bit of resistance against her until Isa seemed to realize who it was using that voice, calming down slightly and letting the angel do that since she figured that if anyone was able to save her, she was.

When the angel started to slow herself down and personally meat the people in the Hive, she'd find that they were generally happy, but anyone from the army would have quite a bit of fear flowing through them. Whether it be the Empress of the Sun, or just a regular soldier, they all seemed very scared. That was part of the reason that they were easier to take into the Hive, they were desperate and willing to turn to anything that would ensure that they survived. They were all terrified of being destroyed and living under Fortem and Praesidia. Meanwhile, the major leaders also had a desire for unity, many just wanting peace amongst their nations, others wanting old anger to be forgotten and for them all to work together. All of that together made them prime targets for the Hive. But now, now they were happy to meet and talk with Deva, having enjoyed unity, but at the same time almost forgetting what it was like to just be greeted by someone new and discuss things with them. The Hive itself was actually rather terrified now, having never found someone that could overcome and even take away some of the control that it had over others.

The Hive would go silent... watching on in awe as Deva went on to demonstrate her power, the Hive seeming to... actually struggle... just a little bit to keep up with the details of the spells that Deva knew. Even with hundreds and hundreds of minds, so many of them able to process information and understand different things, but even then they were unable to properly handle that much information. With all the mages they had, none of them were all able to figure out the unique type of magic that Deva had managed to figure out. In one moment they felt that they had learned so much more about Deva, and at the same time they now felt like there was so much that they wouldn't know and wouldn't be able to understand. When she made her offer, and her threat the Hive would grow contemplative, seeming scared of her for the first time in earnest, yet at the same time it seemed as though they didn't want to just give up from where they were standing. We... You... You are terrified of what you are going to do... We are terrified as well... but... but this is something we believe in... we can't... we can't just... What? Deva would feel the Hive suddenly stopping in surprise, getting input from something that she actually wouldn't be able to hear, as though there was something that was blocking her from hearing what they were. There'd be a few moments where the Hive was completely silent... And then suddenly Deva would feel the link disappear, the worm sliding out the way that it came in, severing her from the Hive completely. Suddenly she would feel completely like an individual again, and she wouldn't be communicating with the people of the Hive... at the same time she would see Isa suddenly fall to the ground, having been completely in the Hive's control. But then she would pull herself back to her feet, shaking her head a bit, looking extremely out of it and then seeing Deva, smiling at her thankfully.

That was when everyone around them would stand a bit differently, their eyes starting to glow silver with magical energy. And a voice would ring around the angel, the voice of the Cloaked One, all of them speaking with her voice all around them. "You continue to threaten those I care about with reckless abandon. You are very lucky that I care for them more than something as simple as power. As they were ready to stand against you even knowing they were outmatched. I have ordered them back, so LEAVE THEM BE!" The Cloaked One would order, for the first time speaking to Deva in quite a while, giving her insight into who she was for the sake of protecting one of her agents. "You have harmed them again and again. You control those I care about and make them fight me... Oh yes I know you did that. I hope you understood that capturing her was no issue, neither is properly fixing her. Continue your push against me at your own peril, as I am reaching the end of my patience with your evil. Ah but you will not stop, I understand you well enough to know that... This story is safe I suppose... Leave my dear Hive and fix this place if you so wish, so long as you leave peacefully we will do the same... Congratulations... But with each and every victory you take I learn more about you, meanwhile, you have seen so little of what I can actually do... That is your chess game is it not? You wish to deceive and make others underestimate... Now leave here." The Cloaked One would order, apparently able to take control of the Hive for the sake of giving a message. It seemed that the Cloaked One was willing to allow this defeat if it meant that someone that she cared about was safe, which was a weakness that she was fine with revealing at this point. She knew that this was something that she would have to do eventually if things kept along the way that they were, so at least doing it this time would allow her to protect someone that she cared about.

"Do not double cross them on this one... I don't care how opportunistic you think it would be, harming them now would be something that I would never be able to forgive you for... So leave them be... leave them be and continue your plan to try and defeat me... I will find a different way to defeat you, until then... leave them ALONE." There was a bit of coldness and venom in her voice, clearly despising the thought of Deva harming the people that she cared about so much. But that was it, considering that the Hive wasn't going to disobey a direct order from her, it seemed that she had won, and that they would be leaving this story entirely just to ensure that no one would harm them. The glow would fade from the people's eyes as the Hive returned to its normal control, once again remaining silent for a little bit before they began to speak. "We apologize for our aggressiveness... And thank you for the advice... Perhaps it is past time that we withdraw and truly consider improving ourselves... Thank you for the... experience... Your words ring with experience and wisdom... We will consider them intently..." They would respond, seeming to legitimately consider the things that Deva had spoke with them about. But it seemed that things were actually going to end peacefully, as the soldiers gathered in the camp would seem to start the same process that Isa had gone through. "Well that's really no fun..." A slightly flamboyant voice would say from behind Deva.

Narcissus somehow was standing almost right behind Deva, just out of her reach chuckling to himself at the result of everything. "Oh... don't worry, none of them can see me... Honestly it's quite a surprise that YOU can see me... But you knowing I'm here isn't gonna change much... I just figured that things are kind of boring over here. This is a STORY after all... And ending on something like this is quite a bit of an anti-climax wouldn't you say? Besides... agents like this are going to be a bit of a hindrance later on. How about we make things a bit more dramatic, eh?" He would reach a hand out, pure light energy flowing around his hand, shooting a bolt of pure energy out at the Hive core... and then shooting quite a few more for good measure, all of them slamming and tearing through the Core that Deva had been... And unfortunately, the only thing the Hive seemed to see, was bolts of magical energy flying at it from Deva's direction. "Oh dear... how cruel of you! Harming someone that was willing to leave peacefully... JUST after 'Mistress' told you not to do that... Ah well... I have somewhere I have to be after all... A 'story' that needs to be broken apart right about now.. Ta ta!" Then he would suddenly fly away at incredible speeds, quickly leaving the Story, any spells sent at him bouncing off his renewed barrier.

Meanwhile... there was a large tear that had appeared straight down the middle of the core, the magic tearing into it. Deva would be able to feel a burst of psychic energy shooting out from it, passing over her without affecting her as she was now completely separated from the Hive. But everyone that hadn't completely finished the process of separating from the Hive would clutch at their head and scream in pain, writhing a bit as the pain shot through them all. They would scream in agony for quite a while longer before a few of them stood slowly, anger glowing in their eyes as some type of green sludge would drip out of the now ripped open core. "Y-You... You... Lying... backstabbing little... Aaaarrrgghhh... We... were leaving... AND YOU ATTACK US?! HOW DARE YOU?!" Many of them would shout all around them. Though some around them were just knocked out, silent as they had been separated from the Hive completely. "No Mistress... LEAVE THIS ONE TO US! She will pay for her betrayal!" Isa had seemed to finally have gotten a grip of herself, looking confused after making her way near Deva. "What the Hell was that? Was that you? Or... What's going on?!" Not even the ice mage had been able to see Narcissus, seeing the same thing that the Hive had seen on that one. "You act as though you have seen all we can do... There is much that we keep from new members... And I think it's time that we show you the power that Mistress has given us... Prepare yourself..." They would almost growl at her.

The core that had just been cut into would pulse with energy, the green glow increasing, the creature inside of it looking to change. The strange creature seemed to morph into some kind of humanoid form, looking like a sped up evolution of a creature, a few members of the Hive walking near the core, a thin tendril coming out and sliding directly into their brains, glowing energy coming out of them, as though they were feeding the creature within the core. "It is not just a core... It is... We would best describe it as an 'egg'. And even if it must hatch prematurely, it is time that you meet a true Hive leader... We actually DO have a select few to lead us... That is what the core does, it grows those to properly direct and lead us with a different perspective." They would tell her, seeming absolutely enraged now, despising the thought of being betrayed right after they had agreed to leave completely peacefully. Needless aggression, it was another thing that they clearly didn't like. "Hmph... unfortunately this one has not had the proper time to fully mature... But even then it should be more than enough to handle you... And with all the magical energy that we've gotten from the more powerful people here... I think it's time that you learn just what the Hive can do when we put our collective mind to it..." They would all growl, a few rather powerful looking women and soldiers walking over to the core, letting the tendrils slide into their ears as magical energy would start draining through the tentacles, pulsing into the now split open core, causing the creature inside to look more and more humanoid as things went on. And if Deva tried to make a move on the core now, she'd find either another magical shield in the way of her spells, or a soldier getting in the way just to push her back, the entire army that had gathered around her now just working to keep her from getting to the Hive Core and stopping what was going on. She would find immobilization spells flying at her, tentacles grabbing at her legs to hold her and Isa back, soldiers creating a defensive line between Deva and the Hive, all of it gathered around to buy the Hive a bit of time. Though even if she didn't try to stop it, the process would be incredibly fast, more powerful looking people moving to connect themselves to the Hive, sending energy into it, not looking like the process was harming them, but with every person that attached themselves, the creature inside would grow and evolve even quicker, all of them speeding up the process now that Narcissus had angered the Hive, blaming it on Deva in order to both drive the Cloaked One against her further, and force her to end up fighting the Hive.

Finally the form would be completely finished, the fully formed creature sliding out of the hole that had appeared in the Hive, more green slime sliding out with it, the finished creature falling on the ground and pulling itself to its feet.

The creature looked more demonic than it did insectoid, dark wings and a third eye right on its forehead. However... if Deva looked close, the Hive creature's dark outside looked more chitinous, more in line with an insect form. The demon looking creature looked like a femal demon, with two different colors of hair. And it radiated a powerful magical aura, much like Fortem had earlier. This aura felt a bit different though, as it felt like a few different magical auras flowing together and then flowing off of her, and at the same time it also felt more like it just hadn't learned how to control that aura yet, the energy being completely new considering that the creature had just been 'born'. "Excellent... We-... No... I can feel the raw magical force and power... A less successful birth than what I would've liked, but another noble for the Hive, and a new perspective on this... And that perspective is that a traitor like you needs to be properly tamed. But first..." She would lift up her hand, pointing it to Isa, a dark magical aura appearing around her... and she'd be lifted into the air, and start floating off, away from them. "Let's get rid of any help you might have in this one... I'll be getting her back later, for now she just needs to begone!" She would say, chuckling to herself as Isa flew off, not going fast enough to be legitimately harmed, but just enough to make sure that she wouldn't be a part of this fight. And no matter how hard the ice mage struggled, she wouldn't be able to break free of the magic that she was using.

"Now... I think it's high time you learned that there are consequences to your vicious actions... IMMOBILIZE!" She shouted, a blast of magic flying straight at magic, and if it hit it would be a far stronger spell that would keep her from moving. Her body would go rigid unless she could block or stop the spell, the creature walking towards Deva without a hint of fear. Yet... she SHOULD know what the plushies could do, and now the creature didn't look the least bit scared, even if the angel wasn't paralyzed from the spell, she would keep walking towards her without any fear."It's been so long since the Hive absorbed this much magic, I'm so glad to have this level of power... This combined with the power Mistress gave me... Oh this will be excellent. Perhaps I should take a name? A thought for another time... For now I have someone that needs to be... Mmmmmm... punished..." She would lift her hand, and suddenly the ground would start rising around them, turning into hands made of stone that would reach out to try and grab Deva, using her magic to control the very ground beneath their feet, looking as though it was effortless with the new amount of power that she had managed to gain from her sudden birth. She'd start weaving arcane symbols in the air, symbols that Deva might recognize as a mental conditioning spell, and considering how the last 'regular' spell that she used was stronger than it normally would be, the angel might realize that this coming spell might be far stronger than the regular ones others used.

"There is a dissonance between what you think I know and can do and whats real. An illusion, a lie you tell yourselfs. A dissonance that's wholly my creation, as is most of the progression of this conflict. Do you think it is by your design that I challenge and defeat you one by one in ascending order of your ranks?" Deva mused. If she was listened to, she might as well ride the wave and see where it'd get her. "I keep warning people to stop. I keep telling them to fear me. But unlike you lot, I don't boast as to why until it's too late." Deva smirked.

"On that account. Do you really believe I specifically brought up the idea of warning the eigth without wanting you to do exactly that? Your mistress' destruction has been orchestrated the very moment she destroyed my little refugee. I just have not made myself clear in the matter, but I intend to do so soon. We are both the types that adapt to a threat we face.. I've just gotten rather fast at it." Deva mused, nothing the swarms evolutionary abilities for later. But of course her plan was not to fight.

Writhing in lust did little to diminish Deva's determination. Perhaps, now knowing of her history, raised by lustful priestesses, the swarm understood a little more of that. Mere lust and desire alone couldn't overcome or control Deva like they could an ordinary human.. her submissive desires, on the other hand..
Of course, giving Deva feelings of comfort and acceptance only spurred her on to do what she thought right, for everyone that made her feel this sort of connection. And what was right.. was consent, not force. And she couldn't hear Isa's voice.. a single voice silenced, that was enough for Deva to set worlds ablaze in defiance.
Everyone mattered. And there was no compromising that.

War is disgusting, yes. I've fought in them, as healer, soldier, general. I've had wars fought in my name. Tried to make people behave better than that. Deva mused through her memories, noting what she was told by the swarm-avatars, watching more and more people appear and support one another..
Oh, I completely agree. No one else should ever have to face this pain. Just look at you all, struggling to contain what I live with every day.. but it is because of this pain that I have the strength necessary never to stop. Not for my sake, no.. but for the sake of those far more innocent than me. Deva mused at the swarm soothing and arguing with her. Then, however, the worm left her, with a slight pang of regret for the angel, losing the link of comradery.. not that she hadn't felt such things in the past, but it was still a mental drain.

"Ah, hello, didn't you say something to the effect of us not talking again?" Deva enthused when the cloaked one spoke through the swarms link. "You've been the one harming far too many worlds, unpunished until now. Yet, every time your forces met me, you've been defeated, you've retreated further. Act confident if you want, but I can sense your facade slowly cracking. You'd not be talking to me at all if you weren't unsure, if you didn't wonder why I know things I shouldn't.
It is true, you learn more about my powers. But not fast enough, while you slowly run out of lackeys worth using against me. Why don't you send a group of powerful ones to gank up on me.. oh right, I might have a response to that, and you can't risk that sort of loss. Or perhaps you are right, this is all a last ditch effort bluff and there's little more I'm capable of. Why don't you try and find out more yourself. I'm naked and weakened, surely, now'd be the perfect time to strike."
Deva smirked and extended her arms.. though she was genuinly a bit wobbly from the prior influx of swarm-pleasure..
"You've destroyed worlds. So many futures, at your whim. Who says you are the one to offer forgiveness? I don't want your forgiveness. You should hope for mine."
Deva peered over to Narcissus besides her.. and regretted she didn't have her had to hide the subtle smile in her eyes. Luckily, this one was bad at reading others anyway. So she simply played along, lifting her hand as the bolts were released. Better to play along with it.
"Betrayal? I've told you once that you made me angry. You did not listen, did you? I gave you a chance to release Isa .. and you failed to take it. I'm glad we both agree that war is terrible... well, all the niceties aside, me and your mistress, we are at war. She attacked my world and I have to take action. She takes everything from people to feed her own power and frankly, that you are willing to aid her knowing this, disgusts me. You're not taking a single person from this story. I've warned all of you time and time again. I've told your mistress to stop. This world is under my protection." Deva mused, lowering her hand from her pretend bolts. "You're not taking these people as your spoils of war."

"I presume you are still linked to the rest of the swarms and the cloaked one, well, it is time I impart upon you a lesson." She bagged her plushie. It was not yet time. "A lesson that you can't go destroying worlds and take other minds as slave as you desire and leave unpunished. A heavy duty I have come to accept is.. just being the healer I want to be is not enough. Truly evil beings will come to hurt and harm others all over again. You need something they can fear more than the darkest things they can do. I send Tabitha to give you a last warning and you ignored it. If I have to be cruel to the few of you, so you can't be cruel to the countless beings weaker than you, forever frozen in their worlds, without hope, without a future.. Then I'll just have to play that role, if I want to or not."

Deva mused, her shadow pulsing almost now, though she rather busied herself with cleaning herself, picking up her clothes and weapon, though, lacking the time to redress properly. "Honestly, I'm curious what accumulating all that energy can get you." She wandered over to Isa, patting her off. "Also, no silly, obviously it's not me. I tried to get hooked up before I let those people be in pain. Interesting you can't see him however, that tells me a lot about Narcissus power. He is exeptional at staying hidden, but to use his abilities he has to become at least somewhat real. Either way.. he's starting to bug me. Heh. No pun intended.

Oh looksie, a big swarm-boss-lady. Look at that, you too can adapt to threats fast, if pushed."
Deva looked over as the swarm-members gathered, observing the process curiously. "Combat adaption mode. Likely you can grow into a variety of things. Likely a demon to adapt to the energy you were just hit with." Holy smite. Somehow, despite being wicked, Narcissus could use high-level holy magic. Should be impossible, but that ment some of Deva's spells were innately useless. The swarm most definitly had evolved to resist her holy energy.. which was a good chunk of Deva's already limited offensive power.

Deva almost casually waved when Isa was send off in a ball of dark energy. "You know I paid attention. There's a single worm left in Isa's mind, likely inactive right now. Sleeper agent, so to say. Also, are you sure that, after looking into my mind, you want to show off the magic you use now so brazenly? OH, I can sense you bleed several mages into you, but you can't control all of that at once, someone has to take charge.... wait, thats not.." Deva gasped in a suprised expression as she held still, immobilized. Well, that was not darkness magic.
Fucks sake. Deva used a rare curse inwardly. The new swarm-creature could likely easily read what Deva was doing, a quick paralysis breaking healing spell to escape her hold , though the stone hands were more sucessful at grabbing her slime-covered nude skin, hair and pubic hair wet and slick with tentacle-ooze, a subtle glistening from the tentacle-cum leaving her quite lewdly presented at the moment... She looked about with her sighing and dropping her clothes and broom again.. she needed her hands free to cast after all..
"Each and every one of you is quite intimidating you know. You're not supposed to be able to use amalgamation powers. And you're not even technically matured." What the swarm didn't know was that Deva half ment Narcissus. Just how exactly did his ability function. She could not risk using Dance Macabre with him being prepared for it, understanding it, so she had to deal with the swarm otherwise.
Such power, united, spell-power exceeding her own.. quite troublesome.

"Got to admit, I'm curious. How do you do it. All those unique abilities. I really have to find a way to answer them all. And all of them stronger still... Ugh, and the cloaked one is watching on.. You fully know that of course. You are willing to become a martyr to reveal my greatest powers, worst case... or you realize I don't quite want to use them against you... Well, partial martyr. You would be diminished, nothing more. Always hard to fight someone with that level of resolve. Why so resolved? You can't be convinced you are doing the right thing. Also! This level of a power jump from ten with her dangerous curse to nine, I better keep my guard up...hoioi, grabby hands." Deva complained. while she could evade being stunned, the groping hands were a far more..mundane way of restraining her.
"I'm getting too old for full on magic duel battles You know. What to do." Deva deliberated. She couldn't exactly leave and leave the story. Any magic she could throw at this one, the same could likely counter, plus if she understood the evolution concept proper, all of her holy spells were out, that was a good fifth of her magic down for the count. Likely, illusions would only go so far for so long either against an enemy of this calibre, and once more, Transformation magic wouldn't work well either. Plus she needed at least two of her fourth trump summons and her second trump, The Dance Macabre for the rebellion and the rank one enemy. What other options were left? The White feather. No use against this powerful magic. The light purple feather.. same, propably. Azalea would be overwhelmed even in her oasis, plus she didn't want to reveal her. The orange feather? Worth a try, but she wanted to save this one to distract the first one. Thinking about it. How to deal with Narcissus. His ability went beyond normal stealth. An etheral block would likely help him. The first trump? No.. she could not use that yet. The white/black feather? That was her secret weapon against the first once, if she managed to overcome the macabre dance somehow.
"Hrmnn... No matter how I look at it, got little choice." The angel clasped her still tentacle-slime covered hands together. "To have to resort to this.." She raised her hand, cracking it, what looked like some sort of sealing magic upon her breaking, with seemingly little effect for a long moment.. giving the swarm-woman ample time to prepare and hit Deva full on with the conditioning spell, while the angel was busy deliberating and preparing a resposne with this odd seal-breaking and now bemoaning: "Well, not really too angry at you anymore, got other things to think about right now, but for now, I guess we'll be doing this." As Deva mused about this, her hands seemed to darken oddly, as if the light itself fled from them. Holy magic wouldn't work, so she had little choice but to unleash her third trump sooner or later...
"Ah! I figured it out!"
Deva nodded, still seeming confident. Using her new kind of magic took a litlte of preparation, sadly. Plus, if she could, she wanted until the last possible moment to make sure the swarm could not figure out and disable her magic.. before it was too late. Then again, besides the fight here, she was busy thinking about other things too!
"It's apperance! That's the power. Taken to it's ultimate extreme. Not just positive but also negative appearance. Basically the thing I use to seem more or less harmless most of the time. You don't turn invisible, others simply 'don't want' to see you. Working theory of course. Could be dimensional folding too though. Hmnn.. No. No. Can't be it. Remember, once detected, he had to flee. Right. Think of all the details. Everything matters." Deva mused, having another nut to crack, as impressive as the advanced bug-queen enemy before her was. "If he could fold dimensions or instantaneously teleport, he'd not have to speedy run away. That means he can extinguish his presence, until he draws attention to himself, but he can't do it again. He must have used the warning to check in on the situation. Never seen an extinguished presence on this level, but, well that's the point of the concept heh. So no kind of magical detection would work. Pretty scary. That said, now that I know how it works, I wont fall for it again." She grinned. "That's a relief.
Deva looked over to the swarm woman and sighed. "Listen, all my fiery speechening earlier was because of something else annoying me. We were linked closely enough for me to understand your motivations. Any chance we can delay this whole thing? Maybe schedule it for a monday, next week. Feeling a bit under the weather and got something to do anyway.." Deva could always try, of course. With Narcissus interference, as much as she disliked the story-taking she really did not want to fight the swarm in this form. Nor was she in the best shape. Plus the creatures had almost withdrawn. "I mean, you are clearly not quite fully powered up yet, you wouldn't want to get slapped about only to demand a rematch later, eh?" Deva seemed genuinly uninterested in fighting, though if this was just a ruse, due to her weakened state being held by earthen hands, or genuine was, unluckily for her, hard to tell, with the angel subtly struggling against the rock-hands.

"You and I both know that things change... It seems that you think that if you threaten, harm, and attack the people that I care about and I'll just remain silent? You plan on causing so much pain, releasing the stories that I keep safe, and you think that I will simply allow you to go without any personal addressing?" The Cloaked One would say, still speaking through the Hive to her, clearly not minding the fact that she was going back on those words earlier. "And it seems that you in turn have not heeded my words in turn... Do you not recall? Bend rather than break? You may push us back again and again, but we will not break. The tree that bends in the face of the storm will stand tall when it is over, while the oak that stands rigid will find itself snapped in half and falling down to the ground." She explained, not even seeming to be worried about giving that fact to Deva, as she assumed that the angel had already mostly figured something like that out, and she had also technically given Deva that information earlier anyway, so she didn't even care about clarifying it this time. "Theorize and guess at my motives and plans all you wish, THAT is something that I don't have any desire to share with you... Even now I feel I am giving you too much just by speaking with you, but I do care about those with me. You offered a chance for them to leave peacefully, and I've decided that they will accept that deal. Simple as that. Now, the deal is done, they will withdraw and leave behind all that they have taken... They are patient and will only return once you have been completely dealt with." Though suddenly the Cloaked One would go silent when Deva started talking about the things that she had done... And for a moment Deva could almost feel the pure rage that was emanating off the entire Hive, all of them feeling the rage that the Cloaked One felt when the angel start accusing her of things. "Destroyed? DESTROYED?! Let me ask you something... Have you even seen one of the stories that I hold in my Tome? I visit them often you know, walk among the people, discuss their lives. You are the one that wishes destruction, you wish to let them run on into their eventual death and destruction. They have a future, a peaceful future without death and pain. They grow old, they experience life, they meet those that they love, and they have their future. What they don't have is destruction, death, betrayal, I keep them from that. I do not destroy, I save and keep, I nurture and protect! You are the one that wishes to leave them out to 'find their own path' through death and pain. Do not dare assume that I am the evil one in this world, you have not even seen the worlds that you decide are 'destroyed'... Nor am I the one to cruelly MURDER Neith! The wonderful woman that I had been teaching a less violent way, and you cut her down! You are the monster here... Ah but you are clever aren't you... poking and prodding me to anger me and make me this upset. Excellent work... enjoy whatever information you managed to glean from that. But I have spoken enough... far more than I intended to at that... Begone from this story and leave the Hive alone, they will do the same." She would respond before finally cutting off her connection with the Hive, slightly annoyed at herself for giving that much away when she had already watched Deva this whole time, knowing that the angel managed to get so much from whatever information she could get her hands on. But she didn't have much time to dwell on that, as the angel wasn't the only one that was busy, she had many different things that she had to take care of herself.

"You gave us a second deal, one where we would leave and you would be allowed to continue on... YOU broke that deal... We would've even left behind everyone in this story had you not simply attacked us! You murder one of our friends, you send another to attack Mistress, and now you attack those that are peacefully retreating... It has been long since we have met such a warmonger as yourself... Then you have the gall to criticize what we do? We protect and preserve, simple as that. Had you not attacked us, we would have even left without taking anyone from this story! But now... Now you need to be dealt with! It is clear to us now that you have a taste for war, regardless of what you say, causing conflict even when given the chance to peacefully avoid it!" They would criticize, sounding genuinely hurt emotionally just as they had been physically. In a way, they felt some sort of connection with Deva after releasing her from the Hive, still remembering their seemingly short time together, and now their thoughts on the Angel were completely changed, as her attacking them had gone against everything that they had thought they'd learned from being within Deva's mind... It was something that they had less experience dealing with, compared to the average person, as they didn't really have to deal with betrayal once they added a new member to the Hive, as those new members never had a reason to then betray them.

"It is... strange to hear this from you... We have heard very similar words come from Mistress... But we also know what we believe, and that is in the protection and happiness of all. You call it a cruelty, we call it a kindness, and we sense that this is an argument that neither of us will end up agreeing upon... So instead, show us the strength of your resolve and we will show you ours... And at the end of it all, history will look at one of us as the hero, and the other as the villain..." They would respond, seeming almost completely unfazed by Deva accusing them of being the cruel and evil ones. That was something that they had already faced in the past, something that they had experience with, so they were able to rely on every mind within the Hive all over again to hold on to their resolve and their beliefs, not seeming even slightly perturbed by the angel's view of them. "Our discussion will get us nowhere, our view into your mind has shown us that much... We do not presume to know all there is to know about you, but we are rather certain that you will not agree with us... Besides... you need to be punished for such terrible behavior..." They would finally growl, still quite upset about what they thought that Deva had done. "Narcissus was here? Then why would you let her believe that it was you?! Wasn't she about to leave?" Isa would whisper to her, seeming more worried about facing the Hive than any of the other agents that they had run into previously, and a large part of that had been the fact that she was just mentally resisting and fighting the Hive, and because she had a much better estimate about their power than the others that they had dealt with. But, at the end of the day she would have to trust Deva's judgement on these matters, it just made her a lot more worried considering that she was feeling a bit drained herself now that the Hive had released her.

"The Hive has not survived for so long without being able to properly adapt... However, Mistress' powers added into this wonderful little mix... I wonder if I'm finally stronger than that arrogant little narcissist... Then again, I suppose that I have to expect that considering the name. In a way I suppose that I have to thank you... The Hive was a little disappointed that they wouldn't get to use the powers of those in this story, but now you've given us reason. It's just a shame that we didn't get to add the power of the two 'gods' to this mix... That would've been delightful, but beggars can't be choosers." The new swarm creature would say, seeming to have a complete sense of individuality, yet at the same time still knowing and understanding what it was that the Hive had wanted out of this story. She would smile confidently as Isa was sent away from this conflict, still futiley struggling against the power that was sending her away, wanting to stick around to be able to help Deva. But unfortunately there was nothing she could do, and soon the ice mage would be completely out of sight, fading off in the horizon and being thrown into a random tent to make sure that the entire conflict would just be between her and Deva. In fact, she wouldn't even start ordering those that the Hive still controlled, even though at this point it might have even been possible to completely overwhelm Deva with numbers. With that business out of the way, the swarm creature would stand proudly, not a hint of fear in her now that she had this much raw magical energy. Yet despite everything, something about it felt wrong, as though the energy just wasn't right, like it was being controlled in a way that didn't make any sense. Like the Hive creature wasn't properly controlling the magic, but it was still working despite the lack of proper control, but despite it all it seemed incredibly powerful, and if it weren't for Deva being able to almost feel as though she was using the magic... wrong... it would be hard to tell the difference between her and an experienced spell caster.

The creature would chuckle to herself a little bit when Deva seemed so surprised at the amount of power that the Hive creature had. "Mistress doesn't just pick the best, she empowers them as well to make sure that it will be far more difficult for others to defeat. Think about it. If she had just brought us along, even at her full power, perhaps we could be defeated by the heroes and villains of these stories. But once she adds her own power and makes us even better, those of us that are already quite powerful become even more so." It seemed that she didn't feel as much of a need to keep information from Deva, willing to explain just why she was so powerful. Of course, there was no way that she would be able to know that Deva was also partially talking about Narcissus, taking this entire discussion as more of compliment to their own power, something that they were quite proud of.

"As I said, Mistress picks the best, but she also picks for a variety. She planned ahead for someone smart, powerful, or exceedingly tactical trying to take her down. If we were all powerful darkness mages, and someone resistant to dark magic came along then we would be in trouble, but by having different powers among all of us she ensures that no one can specifically have just one power that can take down all of us. It ensures that one strategy just isn't enough to deal with each and every one of us. Also... why can't I be convinced that I am doing the right thing? The Hive, Mistress, and I all think that what we do is right, why else would we be doing it?" She would ask, sounding genuinely curious now, wondering how they could even be where they were if they didn't believe that they were doing the right thing. As far as she knew, everyone that was following the Cloaked One truly and honestly believed that what they were doing was the right thing to do, as all the people that she had talked to before now had agreed with her that they were doing the right thing.

Since she wasn't stopped, the swarm creature continued creating her conditioning spell, her own confidence just as strong now that Deva was so willing to allow her to prepare her spell. Once the spell was completely prepared, she would just seem surprised when Deva was suddenly trying to end things again, wanting to stop fighting and let things continue on. And actually, she would seem annoyed once tthat request registered, the Hive form stepping closer to Deva. "Funny... when you have the advantage you're willing to attack someone that was retreating, but the moment that you lose the advantage, we're right back to 'Oh perhaps we should just fight another time'. The Hive was willing to leave everything here, YOU are the one that attacked them. YOU are the one that decided that this whole thing will need to continue. Tell me, why would I EVER do something like that now? Should I turn my back once again so that you may put a dagger in it?! What kind of fool do you take me for?" They would ask, seeming sarcastic, giving Deva time to respond before hitting her with the conditioning spell. A wave of warm pleasure would burst through her, a pleasure that encouraged, almost pushed her to simply obey. It was different than the satisfaction of being connected to the Hive, it was a pure pleasure of obedience, surging into her, encouraging and trying to nurture her submissive side. "Now how about you just accept your fate, let me into your mind and submit... No need to attack or even struggle with me, not when I'M your Mistress. You can just submit to that warm power in your mind, let my overwhelming presence into you and become mine..." And Deva would feel a strong and true desire to listen to those words, as though it was something that she truly and honestly wanted, something that she must have wanted if it felt so good to even think about obeying that command. She should just allow this woman into her mind as her Mistress... the spell had been so strong, something that needed to pulse through her body and mind, almost as though it were trying to seep through into her very soul. All that magical energy flowing through her, she was absolutely amazing, powerful, awe inspiring, and incredibly beautiful. That was something to submit to, a creature designed to face her power, and as such something that was designed to be dominant over her. There was nothing wrong with falling to her, falling to a creature built to defeat her, perhaps it would be better for her to just submit and enjoy it? Something deep inside her told her that doing so would be so wonderful... and she'd feel that it would be her natural place, the only place that was right...

Then she would feel insect like hands grabbing and squeezing her breasts, the creature having stepped close to her and started groping her body, a long tongue falling out of her mouth to slide that tongue up Deva's cheek, causing tingles of happiness, pleasure, and submissiveness through her skin with every spot that the long, inhuman tongue touched. She'd smirk a bit... "So tell me, my dear slave to be... should I release you, or should we have our fun together?" The insect creature would ask, sounding even more confident, magic energy building through her again now that she was preparing some type of spell that Deva woulnd't be able to recognize with her mind so distracted by all the submissive, intrusive, correct, natural thoughts that were filling her, telling her that she needed to obey this creature. "Stop your fighting, stop preparing whatever spell you're trying to use to get rid of me, and just submit to my power like a good little slave. Maybe I'll just keep you for myself rather than letting the Hive have you... You still wouldn't be lonely, but then you'd be ALL mine little angel... Doesn't that sound lovely?" And in her mind, it really would seem that it sounded absolutely lovely, something that she would slowly start to desperately want.

"Ah, I understand the source of the misunderstanding between us then." Deva nodded. "This is not a choice of leave and fight another day. I want you to leave and never return. These worlds are not yours to condemn, or to safe. And if you make me carve that lesson in clearer letters upon your servants, I will force myself to do so." Deva shook her head, responding to the cloaked-swarm link.

"Everything ends. And it's always sad. But if nothing ends, nothing new can ever begin. If you accept your current self as the best you can have, sure, you prevent decay and loss and age, but you also stop yourself from ever exceeding your current greatness. You are a destroyer, not of worlds presents, but of worlds to be. But somehow you are prevented from seeing what a crime that is. But even so, you are certainly not in the right. Isa and I are among others proof of that. This mind of mine contains magic that should never be used carelessly, what if I had lost the memory of that fact, but not of my magic?" And Deva would have to get to the bottom of that sooner or later. She was deeply convinced she could not reach the cloaked one.. but not trying would not be her.:
"Pain and loss are a necessary part of existance. I've she'd tears until my body ran dry, but that suffering was an honor to the happiness I held before, not a denial of it. Emotions hurt. Being alive hurts, yet pain reminds us that we live. Oh and as for Neith.. Interesting. So you think she was the only one I got to recently, that's nice. It's a strange coincidence, don't you think, that I go one by one with the exact ranking of your agents. Almost as if I want to make it look like that's how I strike. Now why would I want you to trust anyone I've not yet encountered number wise?" Deva smirked, not so subtly sowing seeds of mistrust. After all, the cloaked one could not truly know who Deva had faced. However, she sighed inwardly. She gained far less from this talk than the cloaked one perhaps suspected. Not much more, certainly than she had anticipated. Perhaps she'd notice a certain word or phrasing later, but right now, she was more unhappy about her lack of ability to make this one understand. It was a nuisance, to fight those convinced they were doing well.

"Actually, I erased another of your friends from existance, though perhaps you didn't particularly like Azalea. You know, the dryad?" Deva mused, then sighed. She was getting kind of annoyed at the rebellion for casting her in this light. Plus she too had felt the connection with the hive after all. Deva sighed briefly, not even caring to rebutt the swarms accusations here, only perking up when she heard of history making the victors here. "No. I think everyone will call me the villain." She then focused on Isa, explaining briefly:
"I'll explain later. I want Narcissus to lower his guard, so he must believe his scheme here worked perfectly. He must feel in control of what I do. Remember, we don't need to look good. We need to do good.." Though it didn't sound as if she was happy about this.

She looked up to the power-gathering swarm. This was truly intimidating a display of magic. In raw force, Deva was completely outmatched. She had a vast array of powerful spells, yes, but now, so did the swarm. Though, the swarms use of magic felt, for lack of a better word.. out of synch. "Yes, I noticed the problem of exponential growth. If the cloaked one were to empower a common baker that would make for some mean bread. Empowering someone with vast potential like you is far more intimidating. Of course, in that lies a weakness too. While she is indubitably a powerful individual, my tome with it's power gathered singularly in me is growing into a substantial threat. Of course, all you have to do is subdue me."
Deva mused on.
"Well, Variety is important, I'm the best to ask that, though I've met people that were convinced that every problem can be a nail, if you hammer hard enough. I personally envy people with mastery over something, where I'm just adequate at a few things." She kept up the lie even then.
"Why do you think what you are doing is right though?" Deva countered.

Deva sighed, but remained silent at the approaching swarm-avatars accusal, closing her eyes and ignoring the sting of sarcasm. "I guess I did it wrong. I was hoping that by showing you my mind, without giving away my abilities, I could intimidate you into not wanting to fight, I'll admit that." She noted, as she was hit be the submission spell. Deva already felt naturally submissive, of course, making her words a bit more timid. "I don't like being loud and boastful and intimidating, not for real, but sometimes it's hard to make people stop without it..." And Deva -did- truly want to submit, rather than fight on.. but, that was a feeling that was not new to her.
Deva gasped when her breasts were grasped by the swarm-avatar, sighing with a wanton subtone to her voice. She moaned when the tongue caressed her cheek. "Yes. Submitting to you does sound lovely... I just want to be your little insect-slave. I don't want to be lonely, I don't want to be without a lewd mistress.. to guide me.. but I have to." Deva complained. The image of Valerie needing the angels.. attending also helped, right now.. though Deva could also imagine enjoying the lewd swarm-queens attention, the joy of being directly connected to her mistress mind.. it was so tempting. If only she could..
"Though I also can't stop working on a spell I've been planning. Because I already cast it." Deva's eyes lit up "There is two things you got wrong.. despite seeing into my mind. You said I turned about when you had the advantage.
You never had the advantage. You also seem to think I don't want to submit to you and let this happen.. trust me. I want to. But I can't."
Deva bit her lips, her eyes tearing up. "I have to be strong. I don't want to win this. I want you to be smart enough to realize what I'm doing, because that'd also mean you are smart enough to see through the trickery planned to destroy your mistress, smart enough to make the right choice.
I wanted you to win.. I want you to see.. see how strong I can be. But.. no. You are not it, not yet, at least. I want to you take me and pump me full of your will and dominance and make me yours but.. you no.. no..for reasons you will one day come to understand.. I have to win.. yet I can't use anything more to fight you."
Deva shouted out, folding her hands chanting a spell. "No. Not yet. I wont use it yet. I'm better than this! Seal!"
Strangely enough, Deva seemed to very obviously use a spell ment to seal away her own powers.. and as she did, the darkness in her hand disappeared, and, if the swarm peered closely, Deva's shadow seemed to come to rest to.. as the angel reached into her poket, a clicking noise of a little case opening, Deva, sad ant tired and naked looking, lifting a purple feather up into the sky, which floated forwards to the ground when released.
The swarm could sense what the feather was. A highly advanced summoning spell, only a single use, but cast in preparation, it would be nearly impossible to deal with this immediatly, they'd simply have to deal with what came forth form this..

While Deva lightly sobbed, crouching down. The swarm so easily falling for this deception after seeing, well.. at least a part of what she thought like, it hit her harder than she had thought. She struggled to bring out: "T.. the way to defeat a high grade spellcaster with a powerful psy.. snf.. psy-web connection to power the spellfocus is not to use magic but psionic energy. Your hive-mind also leaves you open to that, you're like a big web of people, alway sending... But.. well.. on the plus side, if I can't have you and you can't have me.. I hope I can at least make you happy by telling you... This is something that could have endangered your mistress if you hadn't made me use it against you. I wanted to keep this as an ace and just beat you in combat... But I don't.. want to fight anymore.. I want to be yours, have you all nice and comforting slithering in my mind and bask in your domineering beauty.. b.. ugh.. but I have to win. I have to defeat you. For everyone... no matter how beautiful and sexy you are.." And I have to look like the villain for now too.. Deva thought, tearing up inwardly for denying herself this wonderful submission. At least she could praise the.. praise this mistress a little.. mistress seemed to like that.. yes, a little bit of praise, just for a moment, a moment of pretending. She was so alien, so pretty... But the summoning was done.

The Feather burst open in a gleam of purple light. Going by the swarms intel, someone dangerous like this Xarkana would be summoned, last time a powerful fear aura had been released. This time.
... The girl was only chest-high compared to the swarm avatar, purple skinned, and wobbled disorientedly. She seemed utterly harmless. Though she did her best not to. Stretching, and flexing, and, as intimidatingly as possible for the little thing, 'growling' a "Miirr!"
Then, rather than attacking, the thing pulled out a small device, likely from a technologically advanced world, poking a button on it.
Nothing happened.
The little thing pushed the button again, sulking slightly, then, pushing it a third time, this time, music began starting to play, startling the girl for a moment, before she cleared her throat and sauntered along, lifting her tentacles in the songs rythm and posing

"Mii-mi mi mimi!" The creature hummed, wobbling down towards the egg. Perhaps the swarm or its avatar thought about attacking it, but that thought kind of just.. sat around and struggled to fully reach the executive parts of the swarms mind. Miyu meanwhile looked at the swarm-connected people and pointed, with big eyes. "Lots!" Then she looked around, for a moment, as if hoping for someone to praise her for this realization. If no one did (and certainly, Deva seemed to exhausted by all that had happened to her to do that, she would sulk a little bit, and scuttle over, picking up the worm that had left Deva's mind and picking it up carefully, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. Anyone standing close would get mental images of a caterpillar, then of fuzzy caterpillars, then, of fuzzy caterpillars wiggling in place of Miyus eyebrows, with her obviously enjoying the worm. Then, she poked it with a purple glowing tentacle.
The swarm didn't link to Miyu. Miyu linked to the swarm. The swarms collective mind had withstood Deva, but where Deva was a wild, raging river, Miyu was an ocean. A thousand people could shovel with a thousand buckets, the ocean didn't really change. Miyu looked over to Deva and nodded. She owed Deva a favour for the jello she had been gifted, and she understood the angels plan. One of the swarm-servants wandering over to click on and change Miyu's theme to her
Gave away as much. Miyu looked focused for a moment, wiggling her tentacles left. Wiggling her tentacles right. Every wiggle made one of the Hive-leaders faint on the spot. Miyu took a brief break to catch her breath and wiggle her tentacles. Next, each and everyone linked up to the swarm screamed out in agony before falling unconscious.. even those on other worlds. After all they were linked simply enough. What the casual observer didn't know of course, was that Miyu had hidden their psyches in dreams of group-cuddles (with free juice).
The little mindflayer-ling lifted her hand, little wiggling noises as the worms left their hosts in this story, gathering at the safety of the swarms core. Slowly, the little mindflayerling looked as if she was genuinly working, as she subtly adjusted the memories of those posessed by the swarm.. strange dreams happened of course.

Deva meanwhile panted, struggling to her feet. "If there's any greater telepath than Miyu in all worlds, I have yet to meet them." Miyu flexed enthusiastically at this, beaming at the praise. "Danger is needed for evolution, so perhaps this will help. The swarm will look as if a powerful psychic wave has taken them out for good, because.. basically. It has. Though don't worry, no one has actually been hurt." "Mii." "Of course, that means, I have to hurry my plans along.. within a day or two, dehydration could become a problem, I can't risk that. Now.. don't worry. They'll wake up.. when I want them to." Deva raised her hand, cupping it upwards. "No one listens to what I say. True power.. should terrify. I don't mean you should be afraid of me. Not exactly. I mean.. the reason those with power don't take action against you is not because they can not, but because they fear what they could become if they do.. but.. I have no other choice.. any more of your magic and I would lose and.. I have to win.
And I need you to understand what is happening here, yet at the same time, to not risk it all, it must look as if you've been defeated by me.. and you are way too powerful for me to disable by any other means. Now then. Miyu?"
"Mii Mi!"Deva gulped, inspired by the submission-conditioning magic on her reaching out for the worm that Miyu had retrieved, gently taking it.. and putting it up to her ear, nudging invitingly... "P.. please trust me.. ugh. I wont submit to you, no matter how beautiful you are, but I'm tired of being misunderstood.. and connecting my brain to a master will help with that.." even in her arguable victory a powerful urge to submit overtaking her, making her kneel before the swarm-leader as she focused.. images flooded at the swarms avatar left standing through the worm if it entered Deva's mind again.. A quick rush of information of the talk Narcissus and Azalea had, of Narcissus stalking Deva, likely defeating Valerie, of Deva's encounter with a very alive Neith (leaving out lewd details) and .. exspecially, of what Deva had seen Narcissus do. "Ahnn.. being linked up to master.. to hive feels so.. haah.. Now. Listen. In a moment, you too will be knocked out by a psychic wave from Miyu that gives you just enough time to use an emergency-teleport of the swarms.. assets before you collapse. Bonus points for style if you make a sorta cocoon for yourself perhaps. But we have to do it this way.. the rebellion.. take a look at my memories regarding Neith. You have to look defeated, out of it for good, else you are in danger of the first.. taking you out. Either way, while you merely sleep it has to look to anyone investigating as if I broke your minds, then simply left you for dead after fixing the story." She picked up a feather and tossed it over to the swarm-woman, sighing with a tinge of regret.. "Hide this on yourself and I can summon you to stand against the rebellion when the time is right.. or don't. All I have shown you could simply be an elaborate illusion and ruse. Or do not. But you've seen my mind. You saw how desperate I struggled to help people against hope. If you truly believe me the type to stab you in the back thats fine.. I'll manage. Somehow.. I always do. I just... I wish you could have understood and I could have been yours... I guess.. in the end you came so close.. but.. you only evolved to defeat.. not to win. I wonder if you could go further, evolve, not to destroy me, but..."
Deva struggled to say something more, biting her lips but lookee down, tiredly, and, not good with goodbyes, with seeing that lewd, pretty mistress she could have belonged to leave, she went to retrieve her clothes, her tome.. a simple wind-gust cleaning her off and, if anyone payed close attention, there was a wanton look at those lewd tentacles. Unlike the swarm she didn't feel the lingering connection as strong, what she felt was more of a sorrow and loss. A disappointment. Miyu meanwhile waved cheerfully, oblivious to the gravity of the situation and slowly fading her way, her summoning apparently used up.
If the swarms avatar accepted Deva's feather, another feather, chitienous brown-black would appear beside Neith's black purple, together with a green one, a dark red one, now that the story was back on track and Fortem and Praesidia held the advantage once more with Masoch gone...
And a slightly disoriented spider, which Deva caught and petted, hiding the wearyness and sorrow in her voice far too well for most to recognize.. "Oh lookie there. It's fuzzy wuzzy. I missed you, little guy. We're finishing up here.. Tomey?" She flipped the tome open and casually strolled over towards Isa, remarking.

"Dealt with the swarm. Pretty sure you still got one in your head, more subtly trying to enslave you.. same for me. Problemf or later.. Are you feeling any hive-corruptive thoughts right now?" She half joked, watching Isa.
"Restore this story tomey.. and then, take a look at the world in between. If it hasn't attracted Narcissus or at least another agent, I'll have to do things differently. The original plan was to let Narcissus destabilize the false story.. the way he said story makes me wonder if he realized the ruse and wants to lure the cloaked one there himself.. Anyway. The plan was to weaken the cloaked one, then see if we can't see an assault on her. Failing that, we have to hunt down the rebellion. This was too dangerous. Agent number sevent might very well make me reveal powers that, if the rebellion figures out how to deal with them, will make this dangerous.
I wont lie to you two, while we made new allies, I've just used up my propably most powerful summon. And those little pretty feathers you see me hand out are actually quite valuable.. each of them represents a favour I'm paid back, from long ago, and now I'm down to three."
She tipped her chin. "Granted, I could perhaps lure Miyu again with a new pudding recipe or something, but I also don't want to summon anyone whos abilities are somewhat known.. to not endanger them." She, having redressed on the way, adjusted her hat and then tore a bit of her dress' sleeve off, pulling it over her right eye and pulling tight, circling her now hidden right eye with her finger, seeming to focus before
"Now then!" She nodded, with a sudden grim determination in her voice. "Tired of a certain someone sneaking up on me so easily. I blame this eye. This eye is crappy, so it gets an outtime." She informed. "I just fought someone that didn't want to fight me. When they used your voice against your will, that made me angry, but the swarm were just a bunch of bugs that didn't know any better. Infact, they ment well. Plus, perhaps they can, quite literally, evolve. I can certainly forgive not knowing better." She pulled the sash tighter.
"But you know, in a way.. I'm grateful to Narcissus. Taking Valerie, provoking me, having questionable morals, wanting to rule and conquer.. all those are things I can forgive. But, setting two people that didn't want to at first to fight and potentially kill one another in a conflict for your own gain.. do you know what that means I can do?" Deva raised an open hand towards Isa for emphasis. "Not hold back." Deva chuckled. "I wont lie. There is a part of me that enjoys competition. I was undefeated Arena champion of Haven, after all. Sadly, I can't really fight most people seriously. After all. It's either I hold back.. or I break them." Deva hesitated. Bend but not break.. something to think about later.. "How's it going Tomey?" She asked, betraying a certain impatience.

The Cloaked One wouldn't respond to Deva's attempt at sowing suspicion among her and her agents, trusting them far more than that. She had no reason to distrust them, and even if Deva did find some way to make them turn on her, she would be able to handle it all. In her mind, none of them would be too much of a problem to deal with, so she could handle it without too much trouble even if her agents ended up turning against her. At least, that's what she believed right now, which meant that she wouldn't pay much attention to the possibility that the angel had turned them against her, instead wanting to focus on her plans, observing and learning more and more new things. All she would do is clench her fists just a bit when Deva talked about what she had done to Azalea, not having forgotten those kinds of things, but at the same time not wanting to sit there and list everything that the angel had done to make her angry. So that was the last that the angel would hear from her, disconnecting the moment that she got the chance, leaving Deva to deal with the Hive, keeping her eye on the situation, getting just as angry as the Hive when she heard that the angel went back on her word.

"Mistress did mention that once she had accomplished her goals she could start enhancing others. Maybe then you'll get to see this powered baker... I'll let you visit them, just because you've angered me does not mean that I won't be kind to you as your Mistress... A proper Swarm Slave still deserves sweet little treats every now and then..." She would entice, kind to slaves once she had them under her control. The newly born creature wanted her own slave, as her connection with the Hive was far different than anyone else, which meant that she in turn wanted to take a personal slave, one that could still be linked to the Hive, but was there to be with her rather than with anyone else. And if there was any slave that she would personally want for herself, one as impressive as Deva would be her very first choice out of every single person she had met, even when compared to some of the other agents that she had found rather attractive in the past. "Why do I think what I do is right? How much do you really know about Stories? Have you been told they always have happy endings? Because that's a lie. Do you know how many end tragically? How many end in nothing but suffering? Has your Tome told you? Has it kept that information from you? Do you have any idea how many stories have painful and terrible endings? So very many... According to Mistress they are MEANT to mostly end happily, they are meant to end in those ways... But they don't. So what option do we truly have? I can not just sit there and ignore pain and suffering. You are a healer... Could you look at people screaming in pain, begging for help, suffering so very much, and simply LEAVE them there? Say what you like, but with what we know of stories, leaving them the way they work... it would only end in more suffering. You must have met someone that watched the stories... Ask them, ask them to honestly tell you how most of those stories end... Then come to criticize me, come to shout at Mistress for the 'cruelty' she inflicts on those stories." The creature would say, sounding legitimately passionate now that she was talking about why she thought her actions were right, the Cloaked One being quite open with them about the pain that lived in Stories. Though... there were other reasons that she wanted this power, a reason that she refused to share with any of them. She did explain to them that there WERE other reasons for what she did, but she did not want to tell them about these kinds of things.

"Why do you have to? Why do you force yourself to suffer when things could be so much happier for you? I do not understand... The Hive does not understand. You would be happy, your friend would be happy, there would be peace, but you STILL insist on this sadness? I can't understand it... If we must fight until I can make your life better, then so be it... But if I must drag you into happiness and force you cast off the sorrow you cling to... then that is a burden that I will take..." She said, sounding saddened herself, a strong surge of sympathy going through her as she realized just how sad a situation that Deva was in. They would listen silently to Deva's struggles, her face taking on a look of sympathy, the creature truly and honestly feeling bad for Deva, even after being made so angry by the angel's actions. Really, they just wanted people to live in happiness, and seeing someone so stubbornly refuse it even when it clearly brought them pain, it hurt the Hive deep down to its very heart, in a different way than just dealing with the pain of someone's past. They were hurting because there was someone else that was hurting, someone that they just wouldn't be able to help, someone that no matter how hard they tried, they continued on their path, letting the pain in no matter how much better the Hive would be able to make things.

Then the creature saw Deva's feather, the item that would summon something powerful to face them, something that would essentially ensure that they would be defeated this time if the summoning of Xarkana had been any indication. They saw it, and rather than do anything to stop it, rather than try to somehow seal the summon in with their own magic power, the swarm creature would just walk over to Deva, letting the feather fall to the ground, reaching out and... caressing her cheek? "Please... please... even if it's not with us... Find someone that will make you happy... Find someone that you can submit to... find someone that can make you happy... We will do everything we can to make it us... but if not us... make it SOMEONE." They would almost plead with her, letting the feather fall to the ground without a hint of trying to stop it. They had accepted that they had lost the moment that Deva still managed to keep moving, knowing that they would have to try again another time, but they would use the last bit of time that they had to plead for Deva's happiness, pleading with her to find someone that they could submit to. So the feather would fall as they gently caressing her cheek, tears welling up in the creature's own eyes as they looked at the sadness that she was having to deal with. With that done, they would close their eyes and sigh, preparing themselves for whatever it was that they were going to face once the summoning went through, turning to look at whatever it is that was being summoned.

She would raise an eyebrow at the small creature that had been created, something that they weren't expecting. But at the same time, if they had learned anything from Deva, it was that appearances could be extremely deceiving. One that looked innocent and harmless, could be incredibly dangerous. Of course... even knowing all that, they couldn't help but smile at the little thing as they heard it, a natural instinct that had developed over centuries making them smile at the creature. That would be all that they did for the creature, still knowing that they would need to keep their guard up in the hope that they could win. Then they felt it, every single person connected to the Hive falling to the ground as the pain shot through them... except... the creature stood there, able to protect herself for just a little bit, looking at what seemed to be incredible pain in those that she cared about. And... that was when Deva would see just how powerful the Hive could be when they put their minds to it. The creature's face would contort in extreme concentration, pointing at one of the people in the Hive, forcing that person to stand themselves up. That soldier would then pull out their bow, aiming an arrow at Miyu, aiming more for her leg, something that would be harmful, but wouldn't be anywhere near fatal, planning on trying to disrupt her concentration in the hope of saving the Hive. It seemed to take the entirety of the creature's power to even keep control of that one person, all of her eyes closing, breaking out in a sweat as they got that one archer to make a last ditch effort to save the Hive... Which would be the moment that the world seemed to remind Deva that good deeds did sometimes pay off. The archer would be just about ready to fire when a silver, magical aura would surround the archer, bondage chains appearing all over the soldier, holding them in place and forcing them to drop the bow. "Hmph... I'm only doing this to get back at these creatures... Don't think I'm thankful for your help..." Deva might hear from somewhere, Masoch chaining down the last ditch effort that the Hive had of potentially winning this one. And really, the only reason that they had managed that last ditch effort in the first place was because of the particular way the Hive operated. While Miyu was the most effective weapon against the Hive, because the Hive was so widespread, they could at least put all their energy into making a single move, a single move that completely failed thanks to the mage that Deva had helped earlier. With that failure, the swarm creature would open her eyes, the archer falling to the ground, while the newly born creature looked completely exhausted.

When Deva brought that worm to her ear, it would quickly slide in, both as a hope of self-preservation and out of a desire to connect Deva to the Hive. But almost as though it could sense that the angel would be able to resist them, just sliding into her brain and connecting her, not forcing anything on her out of worry, worrying that the angel might be able to expel her. For a few moments, Deva would feel that absolutely exquisite sensation of being linked, of having someone with her, but it would be less overbearing this time. And that was when the creature and the Hive saw it all... the conspiracy between Azalea and Narcissus, Neith being alive, the details about the people that were planning on betraying Mistress and her agents... A pulse of pure rage coursed through the Hive at this revelation, wanting to tear them apart for doing these things, but now being completely unable to do so. "Hmph... It seems that I have little choice in this matter... Very well... but don't think I'm going to stop trying to take you... Mistress isn't the only one who learns new things with every encounter... Once we wake, it may be time to evolve to properly take you, enslave you and bring you into the Hive proper... But until then..." The creature would catch the feather, 'pocketing' it in part of her body built to hold things. And then... she'd grab Deva and pull her into a deep, passionate kiss, a long and inhuman tongue pushing further and further down Deva's throat, not causing any problems with her breathing, but that inhuman, slimy tongue curling around her tongue and all the way down, almost connecting the two of them... And then the creature would start fading away, using her magical energy to move the Hive's resources some more, moving them to a safe place during that passionate kiss. But then, just like that, they would be gone, Miyu having ensured that the entire Hive would appear to be completely destroyed.

The spider that Deva caught seemed to be able to tell Deva's mood, looking up at her with big and worried eyes, before rubbing into her hand and cuddling against her in an attempt to try and cheer her up even a little bit, the tiny spiderling seeming to be trying to make her happy. And when she went to find Isa, she'd find that the ice mage was rushing out of the camp, trying to get back to Deva to try and help out with whatever fight was still going on. But it seemed that the battle was over, and she would find Deva, looking relieved to see that the angel looked to be mostly ok, able to still tell that she was hurting a bit, usually pretty good at getting a read on someone's emotions, especially after they had been travelling together for so long.

"No, I'm pretty sure I don't have any of those weird thoughts around in my head..." Isa would answer, a bit worried that the two of them would still have them in their heads. "I've already begun the process of repairing this story... and I have taken the liberty of retrieving the feather you had given to Fortem, he was willing to relinquish it knowing that things had been worked out. As for the Lands in Between, I think it is already in the process of being attacked. The Serpent was unable to answer my message, and when I tried to look in, the most I could manage to see was one of the buildings had been lit on fire." The Tome would answer, giving Deva a pretty clear idea that the lands were in the middle of being attacked. "Deva, please... Listen to me... USE me. You are pushing yourself to the limit revealing secret weapon after secret weapon, when I do have powers to help you. Not only that, but the Cloaked One already KNOWS what I can do, so if you use me she won't learn anything new. I know that you don't want to use up all my energy on this, but I have quite a bit built up already. You can use me to help, I WANT to help. Please... I know that you are clever, but sometimes you should use every tool that you have... Please... I can help you, especially if we're going to the Lands in Between right now." The Tome would say, wanting to be able to help in this kind of thing, wanting to be able to make sure that Deva didn't end up in too much trouble at this point.

"To be completely honest... the using my voice thing wasn't completely against my will... I guess it sort of was... but I let them do it at that point..." The ice mage would explain, not really sure about how she could phrase that thing. "It is going fine, I can get us to the Lands Between right now, but I would recommend allowing me to use a bit of energy to create a pocket dimension... I could give you a resting area, where time outside passes far, FAR slower, allowing you a short rest without losing much time in getting to Narcissus. Unless you wish to go right away, I could get you there right now. I can even give you a bit of reconnaissance before we get there without using any energy... We can leave NOW." The Tome would inform her. And as they left, a slight dimensional rift would open in front of Deva, following her so that she could see into what looked like a legitimate story now, though in it there were a few buildings with holes and broken walls all over the place, with a white cloaked figure and the Serpent seeming to be fighting each other.

"BEGONE DAMNED ANGEL! THIS IS MY KINGDOM TO CONQUER!" Serp would shout, putting on quite a convincing villainous bellow. "Oh please just drop this little charade! I know this place isn't real, so give it up. I've had to swat a few of you annoying flies already, I don't need all of you roleplaying as well!" Narcissus would retort. "I know not what you speak of! SINK INTO DARKNESS!" He would shout, giant hands made of pure shadows and darkness reaching out and gripping the angel, trying to hold him in, covering the angel in darkness, smothering him, looking as though The Serpent had actually got him. Then there'd be an explosion of radiant light, shattering through the darkness, making Serp recoil at the pure magic power that had gone through it. And Narcissus' wings would be spread out wide to better focus the holy energy, throwing off the darkness as though it were nothing. "Ok... enough of this. Don't think I won't destroy you just because of your lovely hair. I'll rip you and this entire fake story apart if I must... BEFORE that accursed angel gets here. I don't need to be swatting all you flies while trying to fight her as well." "Do you thin you scare me? I will extinguish your pathetic light in everlasting darkness!" He would shout, the two of them firing bolts of light and dark energy, Serp holding the angel off as best he could.

"Now you just got me thinking about super-enhanced pastries.." Deva licked her lips distractedly.
Deva suddenly froze up at something the swarm-avatar said. Not at all paying actual attention to what she wanted to convey, seeming absent minded all of a sudden and repeating, half loud.. "Meant to mostly end happily.." adding what she was just told to what Valerie had said.. all of a sudden, where she had only been confident facing powerful creatures so far, the angel seemed deeply concerned about something.
"Symptoms.." She mumbled "Thanks for telling me this." She noted to the insectoid woman, not bothering to argue further, speaking softly, as she used to when she was thinking about something.

She looked up, clearly a little exhausted from her struggle and spellcasting up to now, but with iron will and determination. "I have to fight, to make things right. Because if I stop fighting when I shouldn't have, innocent people will suffer. And I know you wont believe me, but if I don't get to the core of this, things will get worse than worlds held in stasis." Deva looked over to the swarms gesture of kindness, smiling, tiredly. "Don't worry. You get used to everything. And each time I get tired of the struggle, there's a Mulj and a Limone, A snowy-owl, a cheeky cheshire, a Ferret with a hat, or two lovers that are bitter enemies but for one day of the year." She explained.. somewhat. Kinda. Perhaps enough for the swarm that had been kind of linked to her.

Deva looked at the arrow pointed at Miyu. The swarm was truly strong.. and worse. Whilest Miyu was a creature of unrivaled mental powers, but physically, well, even a flesh-would could be dangerous to her, well, Deva could heal her, she asssured, if not stop the arrow. Meanwhile, the poor thing mieeped at the pointy thing, noticing it through Deva's thoughts, wobbling and struggling to hide, easily startled by sharp objects.. for a moment. Miyu could also read Tsundere-Masochs mind being close enough. She still seemed rather scared, making soft yuuuu! sounds and wobbling defiantly at the archer, before, for some reason, wobbling over to pin the archer, slapping her hand on the ground beside her three times, before raising it with a triumphant, if brief chant: "Mii-cha! Mii-cha! Mii-cha!" While also subtly brushing away Masochs etheral chaining-magic with a foot to get rid of potential evidence.

Deva, meanwhile, was suprised by the lewd, sudden kiss, gasping and blushing under it. Of course, Neith had secretly conditioned her to be submissive to Valerie... but the swarm most certainly.. tempted her, Deva gasping, struggling to stand after the kiss.. and not for physical reasons, out of habit putting on her hat first.. to make sure to hide her pained expression. After all... if others saw her expression they asked annoying questions, or worse, tried to get involved.. "Perhaps you will. You are strong. Truly strong, to keep standing on the face of Miyus power. Even I could not stop, only distract her. And the truly strong don't get defeated. They learn."
She mused. If this had been a sporting event, she'd have offered a hand to shake for her foe. But it was not. It was a war. And, increasingly Deva was convinced, a war neither of her, or the Cloaked Ones making.

She smiled at her fuzzy-rubby spider child and chuckled briefly. "Don't look at me like that. I got you and Tomey and Isa..." She looked at Isa. "You look nervous. The worms are inactive, right now. We can remove them, without hurting them later."
Deva then looked at the tome and smirked, ever so slightly. "Why yes, you are right. I'm using up my powers, one by one. And not all of my powers replenish like Morphea for example does. If this keeps up, I'll be quite weak when it comes to facing the Cloaked One. But remember what I told you about power? Way too much of a burden."

"Nah, it's alright tomey... recoin.. recoin.. meanie word. Oh you mean peeking, that's fine. Hrmn.. it seems the fake story plan has failed. I was afraid of that much. Frankly, I was hoping to get rid of the rebellion and deal with them proper in one go, ideally while also fighting the cloaked one.., but.. he can still be pushed to do these things.. I just need him to panic to the point of forcing him to summon backup." She grinned to Isa, pulling away her hat and handing it over to the ice-mage for safe-keeping with a cheerful nod. "I gotta proof I still got it, without summons, you know. " She mused, touching herself, suddenly seeming far less, well, .. exhausted by fighting the lewd swarm. "Look ahead, the future is open to the blood stained seer, walk ahead of the map. Step behind the horizon. Seven times tell the tale untold. I hold my fate in my right hand and my foes in my left. Two eyes must close so that the third can open. The Raven-king speaks words yet unheard. Grant me but one moment more. " Her eyes (the visible one at least) betraying sorrow.. wisdom.. and a hopeful strength that was almost infectious. "Don't try to help. Well, alright, tomey, keep him from escaping if my magic is not enough. But both of you, watch closely. Burn every moment of this in your memory. This is where I make a stand. " Deva chanted, glowing with several magical incantations and touching her chest before she threw her hands back, white cloak
"I've tried my best to stay low, stay hidden. Save one world and everyone bothers you all over. And people have to learn to fight for themselfs. They have to be able to grow, without your aid. But. A long time ago, before I learned more about the balance between good and evil, I used to fight in the frontlines. I was a general. A warrior. A healer. And, on a good day, when I tried really, really hard.. I managed to be a hero.
I laid siege to the bone-castle of Pale Night herself. I struck down a Demon-prince and tore away an entire layer of the Abyss and turned it into a paradise. I've had the assasines hired to kill me come to warn me of my enemies plots and an entire army retreat at the mere mention of my name. And I once rode a gellatinous cube into battle."
Deva nodded. Looking through the rift.
"Let's see if today is a good day." With that, she lifted one hand, two fingers pointing at Serp. "Send me through, when I finish my incantation and other three spells to follow. .. still not good enough to channel most grade 7 spells without a full incantation... Lost within the darkness afar, yet shining bright. The wanderer holds onto his hope. Strong arms hoist the sailor onto the island of white pearls. Come down and sit upon my shoulder. Twinkle and reflect my dreams and hopes. Come and accompany me on this journey. Don't forsake those that look up to you when lost. !Right now, Tomey."

When she arrived, she waved. Well, the illusiory her waved, while the real her subtly repositioned herself behind Narcissus. She had, after all, already verified that the angel was powerful, but susceptible to illusions when he encountered Xarkana's fear-illusions. "Hello there Narcissus. You know, originally I planned to use this little rebellion of yours to weaken the Cloaked One. But I've decided that you're more trouble than you're worth. Also.. Even I am still subject to such petty human emotions as anger. Anyway. I'm certain you are thinking.. 'well, there she is. But I can deal with her. The swarm weakened her, and she used up a lot of spellpower too!" Deva suggested.. whilest invisibly aiming carefully.

"I need to disspel this notion that I'm exhausted by a little fighting, by using a few powerful spells. Let us demonstrate what it looks like when I truly exhaust my spell supply. But first. I noticed you like to escape a lot. I can't have that anymore."
Deva raised her hand, simultaneously with her illusion disappearing, pointing with one hand and intonating an arcane gesture with the other, a spear of greenish energy shooting forth. "Quickened Dimensional Anchor! " Likely, as usual, the energy would hit against the evil angels shield, but, this time, Deva empowered the second of her twin anchoring spells with the moment of prescience, hitting the exact same spot in quick sucession... "I've watched you use that shield quite a lot. It looks like a perfect sphere, but, subconscious or not, the protection it offers is not evenly distributed. When Isa attacked you, the area of about the height of your face didn't crack at all, while a certain point at your lower back at about your 12th vertebrae broke open first." Deva continued on, letting the tiny hole in the forcefield heal.. while an emerald pattern flowed over the angels robe, inscribing strange signs upon it. Meanwhile, Deva's misleading spell would end, revealing the actual angel, glowing slightly, with a cute little light nuzzled up to her shoulder.
"I apologize, for being such a bother, by the by. The world were I come from, we have powerful magic, sure, but I just.. never was any good at using elements like you, blasts of holy or dark energy.. all I know is to enhance myself with divine power, then whooping evil's butt.
On that note. Quickened ! Quickened "

Deva mused, imbuing herself with more power, before clasping her hands together, two fingers pointing outwards, her expression focused for a moment, with her suddenly beginning to grow, until she was twice her prior size. " " She shouted, twirling her broom (which had enlarged with her). The combination of these three spells would make her equivalent to Fortem in raw power, but unlike her earlier cast protective spells, they had a relatively brief timelimit.. not even two minutes, to be precise, with Divine Favor lasting even shorter. She had another use of an extended Divine power, but that was about it.
Not that it mattered. Now literally towering over everyone else, she addressed Serp. "I am sorry. you all worked so hard, but if he can see through it.. the Cloaked One can do so with ease. Stand back please. Protect everyone... and make sure this one has no escape routes.
You are a fool, by the way, Narcissus. This place would have been the perfect place to trap the Cloaked one, had you helped the trap along. I figured you'd do just that even if you saw throught it. But now... It'll just become your tomb."
Deva said, bearing down upon the angel with a hostile expression. "As for your little rebellion, well, I'm afraid I already figured that out too. You really believe that the eight, the eleventh and the third ranked can take down your mistress? By what I squeezed out of the swarm you lot can't even take on the first, together." Deva chuckled, arrogantly. Words were a weapon, more dangerous than any sword at times.

".. little point in talking right now. As you see, the hat is off! By the Seven mounts of Celestia, for Talisid and the Five Companions and for every noble, high and low of the Court of Stars, for all the heroes of Ysgard, even though I am only partially of holy blood, I, Deva Undon reject you. You twist an angels power, the very essence of goodness and hope to cause pain and suffering. I declare you twisted, beyond redemption and the only way for you to improve this world we so adore is to be removed from it." Deva solemnly declared, readying her broom. Her words held , raising the spirit of her allies and, if ever so slightly, weakening her opponents resolve, as finally, Deva stopped hiding and confronted this foe.
There was a feeling of safety for Isa, Serp, Tomey, the spiderling, everyone close enough looking at Deva, her shadow falling upon them, but it felt comforting. Secure, like a safe place to hide within. Narcissus, meanwhile, far too powerful to be intimidated or made to doubt himself easily instead felt a sense of scorn from Deva's piercing, one eyed gaze. There was no hatred or anger, contrary to what she had hinted at earlier, it was more as if the brunette angel spurned his very nature.
If Narcissus had not already unleashed a holy blast at her by now, .. or even if he had, in which case he'd find that Deva's cute cuddly shoulder-star was not as harmless as it seemed, Deva would charge at the Angel, testing her magic enhanced strike against the angels shield, knowing that it would break under continous attacks.
While the other angel might very well be resistant to the Brooms divine imbued magic, unlike Mortema for example, the weapons impact and more, evil rending abilities were still fearsome on their own.

The Hive creature wouldn't have much left to say as she managed to fade away along with the Hive itself, leaving the people there, but otherwise having to leave before the entirety of the Hive was knocked out. She would enjoy the kiss that she shared with Deva, savoring the time with her, knowing that she might not have the same chance in the future, plus she wanted to do whatever she could to give the angel a little bit of pleasure, something to enjoy considering all the sadness that she had seen. But then they were gone, and the Swarm Creature would keep the feather that Deva had given her, figuring that she could hopefully help against the ones that were planning on betraying her Mistress. The only thing that she was truly happy about was that Deva seemed to be considering something carefully, glad that she at least had some kind of understanding about why they were so willing to do things, why many of them truly and honestly believed that they were doing the right thing. Other than that, they wouldn't be able to do anything more, Miyu having properly defeated them, even pinned the only archer that they had managed to control, definitely signifying that she had won, with a very tiny bit of help from the domination mage that Deva had helped earlier, but clearly no one saw that.

"I just don't want to end up being used against you again... I'm sorry about that... by the way. I know I wasn't in control of myself at the time, but I hate that I was being used against..." Isa would respond, not all too scared about the worm that was still in her brain, more just feeling guilty and a little embarrassed about being used against Deva. Every time that she had nearly fallen before, she had at least managed to do something to help Deva as her last act. This time however, she hadn't really managed to do anything to help Deva, all she had done was show up, shoot her warning signal, and then get captured and used against her partner. "Very well... I understand. But please remember that I can help you with these kinds of things... Even if it has to be a last resort, remember that there are always powers and tools available to you." The Tome would say, really wanting to be of more help to Deva if it could, wanting to do more than just help her travel and repair the stories they visited, even while knowing how important it was for it to be repairing them. Isa would take the hat, looking a bit confused now, holding onto it, figuring that the least that she would be able to do is hold onto something that Deva considered to be rather important to her. "Well if anyone can do it, if anyone would 'still have it', I'd say it'd be you... Besides you've beaten quite a few of them without summons... and I get the feeling that Narcissus has no idea what's coming for him..." The ice mage almost felt bad for the man... almost. She knew that the man was an arrogant, evil, cold hearted kind of person that didn't seem to care about anyone but himself, so if there was anyone that Isa felt DESERVED to have to face Deva, he was right at the top of the list. "You're sure that you don't want any of us to help with you? I mean, I know that I wouldn't be too much help against someone as tough as him, but I could at least be there to help keep him occupied a little more..." While Isa knew that there was nothing that she would be able to do in a straight fight with someone like Narcissus, she wanted to be of some use to Deva, rather than just sit back again and again while the angel managed to handle every single threat that they ran into. But if that was what was going to happen, then she would at least hold the hat, waiting for whatever was going to happen. When told, the Tome would immediately send her through to the lands in between, making her appear in what would feel like an actual story now that she was there, and it looked real, real grass, real wind on her face, it felt like they had constructed an actual world around them. It even had the element of... uneveness that was a result of getting the help of a proper fairy. The only thing that ruined it were the angel and the Serpent fighting back and forth right now, with the apparent shadow mage doing a poor job of keeping pace with the angel. Not only that, but off in the distance, there were a few bodies on the ground, the knight that Deva had met earlier, the Dark Goddess, and a few others were there, clearly alive, but knocked out now that Narcissus had gotten through them.

"Funny! My boss thought the very same thing. We wanted you to weaken 'Mistress' as much as you can, but now it seems that you've become far more trouble than you're worth. We have to keep cleaning up after you, all the messes that you're making. First you force us to lose Azalea, then you don't properly deal with Neith or Valerie, then you nearly destroy our dear friend Mortema, and you STILL won't even get rid of those that stand in our way. You were honestly willing to let the Hive live... and we just can't have that. So... while we had hoped that you would be a valuable tool, we've decided that you need to be disposed of in some way, hopefully that means that we'll be taking you as a slave, but otherwise... well... we do need you out of the way." He would say, as though even the idea of killing those in front of him wasn't too much of an issue. Meanwhile, it seemed that Serp wasn't breaking the act too easily, turning to Deva and pretending to look angry and annoyed. "Another angel?! BAH! PATHETIC! I will crush you all!" "For fuck's sake! ENOUGH! This place is enough of an eyesore already, I don't need you putting on this little play when I'm already trying to squash you damn bugs!" Narcissus would growl, refocusing on Deva again as she started to speak. He would simply smirk underneath his cloak when Deva fired another spell at him, the shield popping up again to protect him from the magic. Deva would have figured it out though, as the other spell would make it through his shield, finding the hole in his defenses, defenses that were meant to be good enough to break the very rules of stories themselves. Then when he saw the emerald pattern start inscribing itself on his robe, he would stop for a moment and make a slightly annoyed huff. "Damn... I really liked this cloak... Now it's RUINED! Alright... no more of this whole 'Mysterious Stranger' look, I suppose it is criminal to hide my beauty from the world anyway..." The angel would immediately grip his cloak, a pulse of magic firing off of him as his cloak dramatically flew off and got launched far off into the distance to reveal what the man actually looked like.

His cloak would fly off, and his white angel wings would spread out wide as Narcissus looked at Deva, a bit of actual venom in his expression now that he had to dispose of the robe that he had actually enjoyed wearing for a while. He wore quite a bit of fancy clothing, most of it pure white with some of it being maroon to match with it. His hair was the same color as his clothes and his wings, and his skin was unblemished, rather beautiful if it weren't for his cruel expression at the moment, focused in on Deva. "Enough holding back, enough trying to not get my hands dirty with this... I will simply take a nice bath at the end of all this to wash the filth off... Because this is getting rather annoying." He would say, sounding deadly serious now, no longer worrying about his own beauty, and instead seeming to plan on fighting Deva and panicking about his looks afterwards. "You're very clever, but just because I can't run away doesn't mean that you're going to be able to stop me. I had no plans of running this time, as it's finally time for us to end this." Narcissus would threaten, cracking his knuckles, showing that he was wearing pure white leather gloves. Though he would turn wildly when Deva revealed herself, looking around desperately for the angel, clearly having fallen for the illusion, looking even more annoyed. "Damn you... This is going to be annoying..." He said to himself, sounding rather frustrated, more used to being the one that others couldn't find. He was the one that did the hiding, he was the one that people didn't notice, he was supposed to be the one that managed to sneak up on his opponents. The fact that someone was able to hide from him seemed to actually annoy him more than some of the other things that the other angel had managed to do to him. "You really are going to be another fly for me to swat... all of you are really REALLY getting annoying at this point. Just accept that you're hopelessly outmatched, and we can all make this go so much more smoothly. That way none of us would have to get dirty, none of us would have to ruin our clothes, and none of us would have to spend another twelve hours getting our hair JUST RIGHT!" He shouted at her, holy energy slowly starting to build up in the angel, holy magic that he probably shouldn't be able to use welling up as he got angrier and angrier about the things that might possibly happen to the very particular look that he had built up for himself. Then his eyes would widen as Deva grew to a larger side, holding her broom, already knowing what that thing might be able to do to him when it was regularly sized. He would almost look petrified for a moment, staring at her with a slightly worried expression, as out of every agent right now, he had seen more of what Deva could do, especially when she still had enough magic and power. Serp, meanwhile, would finally drop his act, the dark energy falling out of him, looking slightly disappointed. "It's a shame... But it was at least worth a shot. We knew they were strong, but we had hoped that having our numbers would be enough to handle someone like him. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough. Very well... I doubted that I would be able to keep up this fight if I hadn't gone any further. But this pompous fool isn't going to leave here while I still stand, and I'll keep the others safe so long as you ensure that he's occupied." Serp would say, reaching a hand out and using his dark magic to lift up the ones that were knocked out, pulling them over to him so that they would not only be easier to protect, but they would be easier to heal. As he did so, a few more people would show up, all with weapons that looked appropriate to the story that they had built, but they would all set up to protect the few that were still knocked out. Then the group of them would start to back off a little bit, getting some more distance so that they weren't harmed, and so that they could attend to any injuries. "Hmph! You think that putting on a little weight is enough to deal with me? We might have wanted to use this, but instead we'll use you. Your value to us decreased more and more until we reached this point. Now we'd rather have you as our slave, and that way you'd be more than enough for us to take on 'Mistress'. You forced our hand... Wait you think... you... Ha... Ha ha... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Oh that is truly amusing... Perhaps we overestimated the things that you can figure out... Oh brava..." He laughed, clapping sarcastically before preparing himself.

The others that were gathered would suddenly feel just a bit safer, a few of them looking on in awe considering that they had never seen Deva in action. Serp, meanwhile, would continue to give orders to keep people safe and try to seal off any of Narcissus' potential escape routes, feeling just a bit more confident, a bit more safe now that he knew that someone was here. Isa would even start helping out now, building some ice walls to keep them all safe, giving Deva a thankful look, glad that they had someone here now, someone that she could believe in, someone that she knew could handle something that was this intimidating. The self-absorbed angel would look on, raising a hand and shooting off a bolt of enhanced holy energy, shooting it out angrily, just seeming a little more on edge when he felt that pure scorn. Then, when she charged at him, he would simply stand there, wanting to get a read on her own strength against his shield, which would glow and deflect the strike, but cracks would already start appearing in it from that single strike, legitimately surprising him. "Shit... Alright... I suppose it's not going to be that easy... I suppose a little bit of backup is in order... A man is beautiful... A man with his family is even more so..." He would say, flying backwards, away from Deva, casting a spell and causing a bright flash of light to spread out, making it difficult to see in the middle of where the light was coming from. And when it cleared, two more figures would be standing near Narcissus, both of them seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

One of them was another angel, looking like a female version of Narcissus, the only major difference being that her hair was more of a very light blue and her face looking more kind and less spiteful than Narcissus' own. Though at the same time, her eyes and expression were just a bit more blank, as though she wasn't completely there as she stood. And next to her was a woman that looked more like a regular human. "A man is nothing without his family after all... Meet my darling wife Bella, and my absolutely wonderful daughter Narcissa!" He would say, indicating the silver haired one as being his wife, and the human looking woman to be his daughter. They would both bow, Narcissa speaking up. "Why thank you Father! It is truly great to be able to witness your beauty once again, and to even be able to assist you! Just make sure that we can go get makeovers like you promised when this is all done!" "Yes... My love... I am... happy to be here with you..." And all three of them would raise their hands up, a huge wall of light energy appearing in front of them, as Narcissus would kneel down behind the two of them, seeming to build up his energy, gathering holy power for some kind of larger attack. Meanwhile, Bella would fly out through the shield she had helped create, flying directly at Deva, shrouding herself in holy energy as she rushed towards Deva, aiming to grab onto her and slow her down, working to buy Narcissus as much time as she could. Narcissa would instead hang back, keeping close to her father, seeming to be the second set of defenses as the narcissistic angel was making others fight for and protect him, clearly looking to build up some kind of powerful spell.

"Oh don't worry about being used against me, I told you already, I'm somewhat resistant to cold anyway. And in the way you are used against me I understand how the enemy operates. Do they use you to distract me, do they try to use your power? Just by the way you were positioned around the swarm I could better gauge what kind of enemy I was dealing with. You are helping out more than you think... you are a good slave so I don't have to be and.. hey, if all goes according to plan, you'll only have to do it six more times."Deva grinned, half joking at the end, then looked at Isa, quite sternly. "No matter what, only when the woman I described as the first ranked agent appears do you need to act and freeze the ground around me and her, .. ideally more her, but if you need to hit me too, do so without a moments hesitation. This is important... trust me. Watch me fight Narcissus, then decide if my advice was solid or not.."

Though, knocking out a godess, this Narcissus had some considerable firepower, she realized whence she arrived.

"I'm glad we agree to disagree." She nodded at Narcissus, though without her hat penetrating it, the mirth in her voice was just an act, her eyes were calm and focused, penetratingly sharp clinging to Narcissus every word and movement. '"You are quite beautiful on the outside, I have to admit that. That said, you misunderstand the workings of my dimensional anchor spell." Deva mused, as the emerald pattern simply disappeared from the discarded cloak, and embedded itself on the surface of the angels elegant suit. "It's a sealing magic binding you to this tattered world. The apperance is just a side-effect. Though I figure'd it'd distract you.
Though wonderful, once more we agree on this issue. I guess the people here have barely warmed you up."

Deva looked over to Serp. "You did good work holding the line, holding to your story, but do not worry about this man. I've taken off the hat. He is past the point of no return." Nodding once to Serp keeping the others safe she could finally, focus on Narcissus with a calm intensity. The hat wasn't magical at all. It was old and worn and just a memoir. But it hid her eyes. Eyes that had a subtle glow and a way that made others uncomfortable shen she observed them relentlessly, always curious what people might be doing, fascinated by others, deep down. Even this Narcissus, though in this case, it was more of a disgust.

The blast of holy energy Narcissus released hit Deva.. and then, simply.. disappeared, with her rushing through it, apparently completely unaffected.. while the star on her shoulder glowed brighter, puffing up, almost seeming stuffed from a rich meal.
Deva narrowed her eyes at the two summons. In Narcissus mind, this might have been because she was worried. Really, she was annyoed at the simple creatures the angel had summoned. She stopped sudden at the wall of light, lowering her eyes, almost as if in concern, afraid by the mass of foes.. before muttering.

She raised one hand, the little glowy star on her hand lighting up as she commanded, with a silent apology to the big-breasted woman((unless you ment to have Narcissa attack w/e)): "Holy star, first mode, activate"And suddenly, the blast that Narcissus had tried to fire at Deva earlier was released from the star, hitting Bella's divine defenses head on, Deva's large, and haste-spell speed enhanced hand snatching the unbalanced woman out of the air, simply tossing her back towards the lightwall and thus, Narcissa, to catch her mother and prevent more injury.. or dodge being hit by her. Only for Deva to whisper "Quicken spell: Dimension door" As she lifted her broom, appearing right behind the distracted Narcissa through a suddenly opening rift in space, and hitting her back with a vicious strike from a blind spot, indubitably sending her off her feet and crashing into Bella if she lacked her fathers reality-bending shield, likely leaving both severly injured in mere seconds.

Deva didn't skip a beat to observe the results of her attack long as she spun around and rushed at the fallen angel. There was a chance he was summoning the other traitors, but she doubted it. She watched his movements, studying every intricacy, calculating the time she had in seconds and less, the actions she could take. After all, her shortest lasting spell was already half used up. Of course, her angelic opponent did not know that, as she charged, towering over Narcissus and watching him struggle to complete his magic.
Wordlessly Deva swung her divine magic enhanced broom at the angel once more with dangerous precision. This was completely different from the cheerful, chatty, lusty Deva Narcissus had seen. Even a man of his calibre might suddenly feel a fear.. for his very life seemed to be what Deva was after right now.. and then, it got worse.:

"I'm not done yet. " Deva raised a hand not letting Narcissus catch his breath to retreat, hide behind his shield and possibly finish his spell. Unlike with the prior agents, this one she was not taking any chances with. He would not get to unleash anything powerful on her.. unless he could concentrate through a direct attack from her that was. As her magic took effect, things were quite different for her and for any onlookers (that could not somehow also see into time itself.
To Deva, everyone else froze for a moment, while she stared down the fallen angel, lifting her broom, slamming it down upon him again whilest commanding: "Holy Star: Third mode, activate" Which caused the star on her shoulder to unleash a small firebolt.. on Deva's command aimed at the angels hair.

To everyone else, Deva struck the angel in a blurred motion of holy fury and fire, too fast for the eye to properly see.
Then, however, oddly, Deva seemed frozen for a brief moment, unable to do anything as time demanded back what her celerity spell had taken from her very own future, such magic had a price after all.. and a chance for Narcissus to at least get his bearings. But, if she had been sucessful in disrupting the angels spell-preperations, then would have been enough for her purposes. Still, she remained unusually silent beyond her spellcasting, only remarking: "Holy Star: First mode." Truthfully, the holy blast earlier had likely used up her starts spell turning power first mode already.. but Narcissus had little way of knowing that with Deva, her unusual but dangerous holy weapon in hand still standing tall above him, his family, if not taken out by her attacks, of little concern to the angel due to her defensive magic cast before the battle, and her spells still lasting.. at least long enough to beat Narcissus down.

After the frozen moment ended, Deva focused once more on Narcissus, her uncovered eye burning with the same dismissive scorn and finally, almost relievingly, "You're now past the point of no return. No second chances. The games we played till now are at an end. Past all thought of if or when - no use resisting." Finally, with one hand, extended, her tome opened, she requested. "Narcissus. This is your final chance. Drop down. Beg for mercy. End your own existance here. No power you have, no creature or agent you could summon could harm me and I can and WILL break you before me with my next spell should you continue to presume yourself my equal in strength." Just like her aura had changed, from the harmless, playful angel to the hope bringing/scornful leader of war, her voice now held a cadence of calm determination. Where normally her words were subtly deceptions, now they spoke with pure conviction. It was, as if in her one uncovered eye, Narcissus could see a glimpse of his impending demise without a single doubt at least, for her. Now, with Deva making no effort to hide the full extend of her presence, no indeed, focusing it upon Narcissus, this was the expression of a woman that had seen great evil broken at her feet and Narcissus was just another ugly, twisted thing to break.

"Tome, bestow upon me the ability to cast the spell and a mirror." She demanded of the tome that could feel an echo of what Narcissus felt revibrating through Deva's being. This was the wrath of her angelic wielder, a wielder that had felt only pity for attacking her enemies so far, even for a being like Azalea, who could not help her very nature as avatar of vengeance, after all.

Narcissus would look... almost offended when Deva talked to him, seeming as though she had said something that had legitimately upset him. "So very serious... Come now, have some fun with it, banter a little, make this enjoyable! No need to act like this, you seem angry as though I've done something to personally insult you. I do hope that you haven't been taking any of this personally. It's more business than anything else, you know? I don't do this out of any kind of anger or hatred to you or some need for revenge, but really it's just a matter of business. Let's not take all this personally just because we're on opposite sides." He would say, showing just how little he cared about the terrible things that he had already done, seeming as though he didn't even care about the fact that he had forced Deva to fight the Swarm. And in fact, for all he knew, both Neith and the Swarm were now dead because of his actions, and yet he still wished to talk as though this entire thing was just average business rather than some kind of atrocity. "Of course I'm beautiful. I'd say there's no need to remind me, but it's always wondrous to hear the truth, might I add..." Though he would seem to get rather angry when the symbols started appearing on his suit now, rather than the cloak. He'd stare at it for a few moments, looking his suit over before turning back to Deva. "Why are so many obsessed with ruining beauty... This suit took more than a year to make... And now you've gone and essentially drawn on it with disgusting paint. Hopefully it will be gone when I am rid of you... Though... Hmmm... If you gave me some time I'd be able to make it work with the right outfit. Clothing is all about accentuating my natural beauty of course, so I can figure it out..." The angel would think to himself, seeming to not even care about the fact that he was forced to stay in the dimension that he was in, worrying more about the way that he looked instead. After all, he hadn't planned on running anyway, so the only thing that actually mattered was the way that he looked. "In all fairness, that Goddess woman was rather annoying to deal with... But really, start hitting them again and again and again and they'll eventually fall down, or they'll die, either way they aren't my problem anymore." He said, preparing himself for a real battle now that he had pretty much destroyed any amount of defenses that the lands in between had managed to scrap together in preparation for something like this.

"I-... Thank you... I know that everyone here was on board with potentially fighting these agents... but I was terrified of the kinds of harm that might have come to them if this went on for too long..." Serp would say, clearly feeling responsible for the things that happened to the people he had been looking after for so long now, and feeling extremely thankful that there was someone there to protect his people, meaning that he could tend to them and ensure that they were properly healed. "Oh my goodness you really are upset about this? Why? Mad about a few dumb slimes that 'wuv' each other so much? Mad about a little spider getting squashed? Or maybe angry about how you look like a monster now? I just don't get it... It's not like I've actually hurt YOU, so what's the point of all this anger?" He asked, showing more of just how selfish he was, considering personal attacks to be the only thing that should really make someone anger, as though caring for others was just something that he didn't completely comprehend.

His annoyance would just grow a little more when he saw that his blast of holy energy didn't go anywhere, instead likely powering up the little glowing orb that was around her. While he had other ways that he could go with this kind of battle, but it did mean that he would have to abandon some of his methods of attack. His more basic attacks all involved blasts of holy magic and energy, which left him with only more complicated strategies, and of course summoning others to fight for him. Buy himself some time as well as maybe take someone else down with the simple power of the numbers advantage, a valuable tool to have in almost any fight. Despite what he had said, he wasn't actually a fan of getting his own hands dirty with a fight, and if it were up to him he'd just hang back while others did the fighting for him. Usually, the only time that he directly involved himself in a fight was when he was already far ahead of his opponents anyway. Bella would rush in, not prepared for the shot of holy energy sending her off balance, which would in turn have her launched away from Deva, being absolutely no match for her, only being there in a vain attempt at buying her husband some time. "Mother!!" Narcissa would shout, moving carefully and working on her own spell to properly catch the flying angel, not wanting her to get hurt, which meant that she would be wide open for Deva's attack, knocking her off her feet and sending her flying towards the one that she was trying to catch, both of them colliding in the air and falling to the ground, seeming rather severely wounded, both of them having issues getting up after something like that. "Oh for goodness sake... couldn't even buy a few more seconds... Are the both of you ok?" He asked, looking more annoyed than he was worried, though having at least a little bit of concern for his wife and daughter. Which they would only respond with a bit of a groan, causing Narcissus to just roll his eyes before trying to focus back in on Deva.

That wouldn't last long considering that Deva would immediately rush him, causing him to break his concentration on the spell, reeling back and moving... surprisingly quickly to dodge out of the way of her strike, surprise and fear in his eyes. He was expecting her to attack, but something this forward and aggressive was something that he hadn't been ready for, meaning that he would only barely dodge. Unfortunately for him, that dodge meant that his shield, which was considerably larger, was struck once again. More and more cracks would start appearing in the shield, the pure damage making it difficult to keep it going, plus not being in a story made it a little bit harder to easily fix it. Was the angel actually trying to kill him? Those thoughts, as well as the extremely quick attacks, kept him from being able to come up with any kind of counter attack, just working on not getting struck by anything that would legitimately harm him.

Narcissus was having just a little bit of trouble keeping up with the angel even before she suddenly turned into a blur right in front of him. He wasn't exactly able to look into time itself, so all he would be able to do is see Deva turn into a blur of speed, trying to do something to protect the strike, but there was little he could manage. So the strike straight at him would cause his entire barrier to shatter apart, leaving him completely open after a few strikes from that broom. Which was even more annoying, as he had specifically tried to set his shield up so that it would be able to defend against things like Deva's magic and her broom. And now it was completely shattered after three strikes, which meant that he had severely underestimated just how strong that thing was... However, when the firebolt went at his hair, it would... fizzle out into nothing, as though it had been absorbed by something. "Alright, I felt that one... Trying to burn my hair... HOW DARE YOU! Do you really think I wouldn't put the best protection on my hair? Bah! It's protected from almost all types of magic, so try again before you take shots at it! There's a reason it takes me days to properly get it just right!" He snarled, a glimpse of genuine rage sliding out of him at the thought of someone trying to not just ruin, but DESTROY the hair that he worked so hard to get just right, making him particularly venomous when he even thought about someone trying something like that. "I guess I won't be casting that spell right now considering that my own FAMILY couldn't even buy me some time... Perhaps I'll have to look elsewhere to DEAL with YOU!"

But for the first time, he would almost break underneath Deva's gaze, a slight sweat breaking out as he saw just how serious she was, looking... conflicted for a few moments. "Well this is a bit of an awkward situation that you've put me in... Really I'm in a bad spot either way... If I dared to back down now, well... I'd prefer not to deal with the boss being upset with me... But you are quite confident in your own ability... Hmmmm... What am I saying?! Fear isn't beautiful! Confidence IS!" He said, standing up straight again, confidence returning just a little bit, somehow using his own deluded logic to give himself some kind of confidence in the face of someone that could defeat him completely. "So you wish to break me? Is that what you're trying? Well then... do it... attack me with all you have, destroy my beauty, tarnish it out of your spiteful jealousy like the uncultured barbarian that you are... Oh but... before you do..." As he was speaking, the Tome would agree with her request. It could feel just how ready Deva was to tear Narcissus apart... and it could understand why. That rage didn't necessarily scare the Tome, but it did make it realize just how much the angel was willing to do against someone that was truly and honestly evil. Without a word, a bit of light would emit from the Tome, and Deva would see a slight distortion around herself, just like what she had seen the Cloaked One have, an aura that looked like reality was slightly fighting what was happening. But that aura would quickly fade, and Deva would be able to use the spell that she had requested, and she'd have a mirror appear for her, held in the air until she took it. Or if she had wanted a larger mirror, it would simply land on the ground, able to be moved if she so wished. Though while that all happened, Narcissus would bring two fingers up to his mouth and make a loud whistling noise, echoing through the entirety of the lands in between, sounding like that whistle one would use to call an animal to their side. Then there'd be something that sounded like a... a wolf's howl in the distance? It sounded like there was a wolf's howl... and then Deva would hear something rapidly approaching where they fought, getting closer and closer every second, moving loudly, wildly, getting closer and closer before a figure would jump out from behind a building to land between Narcissus and Deva...

She was a powerful looking werewolf looking woman... with what looked like pure fire flowing out of her eyes, as well as fiery fur accentuating her body. Her skin and fur was pure black, with red eyes and a long, inhuman tongue. Her breasts were pert, nipples stiff betraying her arousal, and her body was clearly shapely, beautiful, and yet still quite muscular, betraying the amount of strength that this woman had. But the thing that would likely draw Deva's eyes were the stiff, throbbing, long cock right between the werewolf's legs, standing proud as the woman stood there, licking her lips and growling protectively as she stood in front of Narcissus. Then Deva would be hit by a very familiar scent, washing over her all over again... It was the scent of a Mistress... powerful... strong... dominating... masculine... yet at the same time... soft... enticing... lustful... feminine... that was Valerie's scent, almost impossible to mistake after she had been taught to love it already. But at the same time it was tinged with something else... something far more primal and animalistic, the scent of a wild wolf that could just bend her over and take her right then and there... the scent of an animal, lustful mate... And it would seem so enticing... so delicious... so strong.. would Deva remember her conditioning about her not being "the real Valerie", or would the desire for such a primal and strong mate be too strong?

"Do you like what we've done with her? I must say she's far more obedient like this, a proper animal about fighting and fucking, no more of her old talk... 'Justice' this and 'Honor' that and 'Kindness to the weak' all over the place! But now she's an animal, a proper wolf for us to sic on anyone giving us trouble, like you~! Oh the things that Mistress' magic can do... especially when dear Valerie 'consented' to it... Anyway... have fun with that while I work on something over here... Don't mind me... I'm sure you two have quite a bit of catching up to do..." Narcissus would gloat, waving his hand towards her... and causing Valerie to rush straight at the angel, completely fearless, confidence and strength burning in her eyes along with the fire glowing around her, her speed enhanced as she rushed straight for Deva, growling a bit as she pounced and tried to bring the bigger opponent down, looking to tackle her with all the momentum that she had and knock the angel off balance, bringing her down to size so that Valerie would be able to properly fight from the ground.

"I do not do this out of hatred either, I will simply end your existance, because I have to. Because you are innately evil. But you bring up a good point with hitting them again and again until they fall down." She had allowed herself to respond, rather brief and coldly to Narcissus banter, but not responding much further when he complained about her being 'pointlessly' upset.

"Interesting. A second layer of protection beyond the reality warping shield." She noted. It was good for her this fight would not be decided with raw strength, the angel was masterful at evasion.. which likely ment he was not that good at taking punches.

Deva raised her brows at the whistle.Though, first of all, Deva seemed annoyed. She wanted him to summon all of the rebellion, to trap them in her Dance Macabre all at once, not only because she didn't want to reveal this spell but because she hated casting it, she didn't want him to whistle for some beauty-dog or whatever..
"I don't enjoy hurting animals, you're just ..." Digging yourself in deeper, she wanted to say as she took in the dark wolf, her eyes wandering to the throbbing canine shaft.. Deva gasped ever so slightly, her pupil dillating, her mouth sallivating, cheeks.. and other areas of her body flushing on pure instinct, of course, at the scent and sight before her.

Deva gulped, ever so slightly, peeling her eyes off of the primal creature and back over to Narcissus when he spoke up. Something about his words seemed to cause Deva's expression to crack, the moment as Narcissus spoke of his treatment of Valerie "Release." She said, making the same folded handmotion she had made against the swarm... and again, nothing seemed to happen, except for Deva's shadow darkening and shifting ever so slightly. Though, if the godess of darkness and deceit had been awake she would have been shocked. Serp, a dark and shadow magic user himself felt a sense of foreboding. She stared down her mistress.. so beautiful.. turned into an obediant attack dog for these traitors. HER MISTRESS. It didn't matter which version she prefered... Valerie was better than that, that perfect mistress that scent..

"I guess the mirror will have to wait for now." And, as Valerie charged at Deva, Deva poketed the same and the wolf pounced at the angel sucessfully. Deva was distracted, with a mixture of arousal and rage. When had she last felt like this. against Elijah, of House Storm? Nah. He had amused her. Pale Night, the demonmother that had stolen the eladrin-children? That had been less.. personal. As she fell on her back, on the ground, this was actually the perfect position for her, this way, no one would notice her slowly sinking into her own shadow, until it was too late. When Sesail had claimed he would always return as long as Aelissa was there, yes. that pain, that was when last she had felt like that. It had also been when Aelissa, the Umbramancer, godess of darkness, she who had given her so much, had given Deva her final blessing... and Narcissus likely noticed little of what was going on, as his shadow switched direction, as if the light hit him ever so slightly differently. While Deva, strength enhanced as it was, wrestled with Valerie, certainly strong enough to hold her off.. for now.. though, her magic as expected did not last forever. She had shattered Narcissus defenses but now, she shrunk down again under the wolfish form, a primal part of her brain complaining, fighting her reason, just wanting to submit to the mighty wolf.. not an amazoness, but a mighty beast to fuck and fight and breed, and, with Deva's enhancing magic running out, she could not truly contest the powerful, fiery wolfs power. .. she was so hot.. literally. Deva felt the spider-collar around her neck, the conditioning, yearning for the old, proud, caring Valerie, though the primal, simple, instinctual part of her brain that Valeries musk assaulted made her fantasize about submitting to the alpha, the fuckbeast, did she really want the old amazoness back?
Mistress scent made Deva's fight turn ever more into a token-resistance that Valerie could power through.. and enjoy to power through as those parts of Deva gave in but, once more, with supreme effort of seperating her thinking.. there was something in the shadows. Serp noticed it, Deva's magic infecting her shadow, Valeries shadow, Narcissus, no, every shadow around.

"Y.. you are not the real Valerie. Focus.. y.. you are not just a beast. Listen. I don't want to fight you, but I will." She said, bringing her broom between her and Valerie to half-heartedly push her off and renew her struggle."Y.. you're not just an animal that wants to fuck me senseless!" She panted, unable but to inhale the dominant musk and, seemingly, not do much about whatever Narcissus was preparing. Of course, her spells prior had offered her supreme mental resistance, but .. she was already a cock-slut for.. for the real Valerie, right? Images of powerful amazoness working out and being attended to by the angel fighting with far more primal sights of being mated by a dangerous beast that couldn't control her instincts, Deva's breathing quickening with arousal as she couldn't help but let her imagination run wild.. if Valerie had been turned into this, what could.. would become of the angel, would she be transformed to be Valeries wild mate to much? A white wolf? Perhaps something more feathery? "V.. valerie? D.. do you like being a beast like this?" She panted, unsure if she should be aroused or disgusted at seeing her mistress reduced to that.. after all, if Valerie was that, what was she... she was Valeries slave.. though, Narcissus smugness helped her keep one hand steady on the ground, on her shadow, leaving her defenses weakened for the mighty fire-werewolf to overpower her, the scent of female arousal reaching her, Deva weakening... a part of her naturally had to wonder,.. was her mistress happy like this wild and feral and .. so strong... her body just lay down partially, her body language, thanks to prior conditioning by the godess, Neith and the amazoness scent herself, clearly behaving in a subservient way.. she wanted the proper Valerie, she had been made to want that, but this beast seemed so.. strong and primal and beautiful.. what if Valerie wanted to be a strong, feral beast like this?

And her fingers were somehow wiggling up into the shadows of Serps poket, giving him an ok sign, before pulling out the white-black feather she had granted him before. disappearing back into a shadow.

Then, Deva's hand reappeared in an inconspicious corner of the in-between lands, slithering out of a shadow, and crunching the white-black feather apart, shadows bending and swirling, doing their best to quickly hide the summoning in another illusion that, luckily, the self-absorbed Narcissus was bad at detecting. "To think she had to use me. And she's using shadow-manipulations as well." A shadowy, hidden voice mused. "Has she gotten this weak or is the opponent that strong? Or perhaps this is a fight not to be lost. Either way, I guess I'll get to preparing too." the figure mused, while Deva's hand waved, and withdrew back into the shadows, back to push back.. and definitly not feel up.. Valeries furry, muscular form..
A lewd, if potential plan dawned her mind.. there was one other way to get herself 'brought' before all of the traitors... or at least, to challenge Narcissus and the first. certainly, they would try to convert Deva to their cause, as their slave, without the cloaked one noticing, she just had to be careful. She contacted Serp.
Since the plan to lure them here seems to go poorly, perhaps alternatlively I just have to go to them. The angel will hopefully consider bringing me in more important than hurting any of you. And by the sound of it, he might want to try and bring me to his leader to transform and enslave me properly, Like they did Valerie. Make sure no one tries to interfere.. or fails if they try to do so. Just a work in progress.

As she thought that, the little spider, and collection of feathers hidden in her dress disappeared in the shadows, and the hand of the one she had summoned. There was definitly no perverted fantasy of joining her mistress as fuck-beast partially motivating here here. Oh no.

"Evil? Come now, I'm not evil. I just understand that my beauty gives me the right to put myself above so many others. That which is beautiful, that which is true perfection, has the right to do whatever they wish to those beneath them. It's simple really, it's not 'evil' it is the nature of things. I am perfect, I am beautiful, and I have the right to crush any insignificant little worms that ruin my vision of a properly beautiful world. This world does not DESERVE one as beautiful as me... but I will be kind and remake it to ensure that is fixed." Narcissus would say, waving his hand dismissively at the thought of actually being evil, as in his mind everything that he did was justified. After all, he was perfect, and perfection was never going to have to bother with morality, that which was perfect was inherently correct. Not only that, but the world was already so ugly, if he had to do 'terrible' things just to pretty it up a bit, then that was just a fact that the entire world would just have to accept. "Besides... I'M not the one that killed Neith after all... I'M not the one that murdered the Hive when they were willing to leave... Oh what a monster YOU are..." He would taunt, laughing to himself despite the fact that he thought that the two of them were dead, partially due to his actions or the actions of those that he was allied with. The man really enjoyed himself more when there was at least some form of banter between him and his opponents, rather than the other just coldly staring at him and attacking him. Even something as simple as a sentence usually meant that his opponent wasn't in the middle of attacking him or pressuring him and was instead answering the things that he was saying.

And now that Valerie was here, he didn't have to worry as much about the things that Deva might be able to do to him, as the former amazoness would be far better at protecting him when compared to his family, as her power was enhanced thanks to the Cloaked One. "Funny enough... I'm not even sure how strong the little wolf here actually is... We haven't been able to get a fight to properly rank her now that she's been made even stronger." Narcissus would say proudly, taking a step back and going silent now as he prepared his spell, concentrating intently now that he had someone that he could rely on to hold Deva off as he prepared his spell. Meanwhile, Valerie would growl lustfully when she noticed that Deva's eyes moved to her hard, throbbing cock, smirking a bit and licking her lips even more, eyeing Deva up and down like a fresh bit of prey for her to hunt. And that strong, powerful scent was flowing around them, filling the air and making it thick with Valerie's new, primal musk, targeting the submissive side of the angel's brain with the scent of a true Mistress, the scent of a dominant mate that would push her to the ground and wildly fuck her for hours on end... Unbidden images of just that would slowly start popping into Deva's head, thoughts of rutting with a wild animal, the strong, muscular, incredibly powerful wolf woman holding her down and thrusting into her with that long, beautiful, throbbing cock without a care in the world... teaching Deva her place in the world, using her like the proper mate that she was.

It would seem that Narcissus was now barely paying attention to Deva, instead muttering to himself as he started pulling in more and more holy energy, only paying attention just enough to know if Valerie was in any sort of danger. After all, the only thing that he needed the wolf for was to hold the angel off, if Valerie couldn't win in any way then he would have the spell that he was building up to fall back on, so he just had to focus on enhancing his own chances of winning rather than paying attention to directly fighting Deva. Serp would seem rather nervous suddenly, looking around a bit, not entirely sure what was going on right now, but having a bad sense that something was about to happen. Despite those feelings, he immediately focused in on helping those that were around him, wanting to make sure that everyone else was okay before he worried about the things that were happening in the fight. The only thing that he needed to make sure of was that no one got hurt, or that Narcissus didn't suddenly manage to escape this battle even with the spell that was cast on him.

When the wolf reached Deva, feeling the surprising strength that the angel had, and actually looking more excited and manic, a wild look of happiness in her eyes as she found someone that was powerful enough to face her. Plus... she could smell something coming off of Deva, something that made her grow even more wild, the primal and wild look growing more and more, excitement coursing through her at the strength that was being shown. Narcissus was still too focused on his own magic to understand too much about the things that were going on around him. Unfortunately for him, that would mean the only thing that he would notice was a slight distortion in his shadow, which he would mentally attribute to a trick of the light. There were other, far more important things for him to think about rather than shadows, he had a fight that he had to pay at least a little bit of attention to, and at the same time he had to keep focusing on building up more and more holy energy for the spell that he had planned the moment that he saw simple bolts of holy energy fail. While the magic power that Deva displayed had made Valerie excited, seeing it fall before her, knowing that she was about to be able to ravish and fuck the beautiful angel had made her even more excited now, the lust half of her growing stronger rather than her desire to fight. The moment that Valerie got the power advantage back, she'd immediately grip Deva's wrists, incredible strength showing now that she had a powerful, strong, yet somehow caringly gentle grip, even more so than what she had seen when Valerie had been a human. With her hands on Deva's wrists, she would immediately try to wrestle the angel to the ground, doing a great job now that she had the advantage in pure strength. But rather than start with anything too powerful, she would use her claws and immediately work to tear off Deva's clothing, pulling everything off that she possibly could so that Deva would be naked before her, not having a single care in the world for the clothes that she was ripping apart. That smell would still assault Deva's nose, flowing into her and clouding up her brain, giving her so many enticing images of being vigorously fucked by the wild beast that was holding her down now, the powerful, athletic form of a true alpha holding her there, keeping her pinned as a show of dominance.

Though... when Deva said that she wasn't just a beast, that she wasn't the real Valerie, the werewolf's strength would seem to falter for just a moment, allowing Deva to put her broom between herself and the horny werewolf. For a few moments, Valerie stopped, some form of recognition coming to her eyes, and for the briefest moment the wolf didn't look like a wild beast in front of her. She stopped, staring for a moment, seeming almost confused at the things that the angel had just said... Then she would hear Narcissus shouting out in the background, sounding legitimately angry now. "YOU DUMBASS FUCKING MUTT! FIGHT HER OR FUCK HER ALREADY YOU USELESS CREATURE! NOW! YOUR MASTER COMMANDS YOU!" He'd scream, venom and hatred dripping from his voice as he ordered Valerie around as though he was the real superior in this situation. Which would cause the werewolf to shake her head a bit, the wild and primal look returning to her, the beast part of her taking over once again now that she heard that command.

She'd immediately push herself back onto Deva, grabbing her arms once again and pushing in, not even noticing the broom that had been pushed between them, instead pulling away Deva's hand to get that one obstacle out of the way. Her fantasies would collide, both of them mixing together with the musk that was flowing off of Valerie, making it so difficult to choose between them, but the thing that her body, and her submissive side would know, was that ONE of those choices was right there waiting for her. Sure she could be Valerie's cockslut, or be this Valerie's mate, but one of them was right there before her and could be achieved so easily. She could just let go, let the Alpha take control... take HER, and become her breeding bitch, become a proper devoted little slut to be bred constantly by the furry, hot, musky, powerful werewolf that was holding her down, leaving her completely defenseless. Yet once again some kind of awareness would return to her eyes when Deva spoke with her... this time seeming that Valerie was actually internally fighting something, speaking, barely managing to get the words out. "Y-Yes... But... I..." And then just like that the beast would return, her long and inhuman tongue falling down to slide up her body, that warm and wet tongue moving up her neck, all the way up to the top of her head. It seemed that Valerie did like being like this in some form, but there was something about it that she had wanted to mention. But now the wild beast had consumed her once more, and whatever problem she had with how she was went with her. She would feel Valerie's face getting close to her... and then feel the werewolf take a very deep breath in through her nose, savoring the scent of arousal, submission, and the scent of her newest mate. The werewolf's cock would visibly throb a little more when she took in Deva's scent, licking her lips more before one of those hands would roughly grab at Deva's breasts, squeezing and kneading them forcefully, just enough so that Deva could feel the dominance, but not enough that it would actually harm the angel, the wolf pushing her further down and towering above her, purposely putting herself in the spot that kept her looking dominant over the angel. But then she'd start moving forward just a little bit, moving so that... so that her cock was positioned right in front of Deva's face. That musk would grow so very thick to the point where Deva would find herself breathing deeply even if she hadn't intended to, breathing it straight from the source. Her mouth would immediately begin to water, thoughts of having that throbbing member in her mouth filling her head, seeming like the most wonderful thing that could happen in the world right now, like it was where she belonged. A breeding bitch was meant to pleasure the Alpha in whatever way the Alpha wished, and Valerie was clearly the Alpha, why else would Deva feel so aroused? Why else would the wolf be on top of her like this, dominating her with something as simple as their position in this fight. A small drop of precum would appear on the tip, looking like the most beautiful and delicious treat in the entire world, Deva's mouth and mind both yearning for even the tiny taste of that cum...

Serp would immediately move to try and catch whatever it was in his pocket, but thankfully he put two and two together rather quickly and nodded at the shadow hand. And just as Deva had thought, Narcissus wouldn't notice anything else that was going on, already having a problem seeing through illusions, and at the same time being intensely focused on his own issues. Deva herself, meanwhile, would barely manage to push the wolf back, eliciting a soft groan of pleasure and excitement, Valerie seeming to greatly enjoy the struggle that the angel was still putting up. But that would only buy Deva a brief moment without that cock directly in her vision and it would return immediately, that same musk filling her nose, that same enticing and throbbing cock with just a small drop of precum at the tip making her mouth water, all of it in its perfection returned to her. Which was of course the natural order of things, a proper bitch always needed to be close to the Alpha's cock, always at the ready in the hope that the beast might decide to fuck her, to reward her with that throbbing cock.

Not sure if that's the best idea... You never know just how good they'd be at taking over your mind... But of course, you do what you think is best... Serp would respond, trusting Deva's judgement in these matters, though it concerned him about what would happen to the lands in between if they took Deva, wondering if they were here specifically for Deva, or if they had their own plans with the place. Meanwhile, Narcissus would suddenly smile brightly and stand up straight, an almost unreal amount of holy magic emanating from him, giving him an actual glow of holiness as he stood himself back up. "There we go! Takes far too long for that spell really... But it's ready now... Though... it seems I don't even need it. You keep having fun with our little mutt, I might not even have to use this power." Narcissus would gloat, having his power ready, but not using it now that he thought that Valerie actually had Deva beat. No point in using it up if he didn't need to, it just meant that for now he'd have yet another back up plan in case Deva suddenly managed to turn things around on Valerie.

Since Narcissus seemed to enjoy banter, that was exactly what he was not getting back from Deva. He was self absorbed, but perhaps still strong enough to not shake a feeling of unease... though Deva was certainly sucessfully distracted, gulping slightly at the unbidden images of being pushed down and lewdly taken by the mighty dark werewolf Valerie had become. It was certainly a tempting idea to just indulge..

It was a strange paralel, Narcissus drawing in holy energy, while Deva had begun manipulating the shadows, ever so subtly, ever since using whatever that release had been.. though Serp alone would have the skill at dark magic to realize how subtly powerful the angels efforts were. To those that actually had a bird-eyes view, there would be an odd sight.. everyones shadows pointed at Deva, as if an inverted light-source drew them in ever so subtly...

Deva, meanwhile, was dealing with the wolf, gulping as her wrists were pinned.. more on instinct than actual danger. Right now, as long as there was darkness below her, she was far from trapped... though, something about Valeries grip left Deva unable to struggle against such brutal strength.. applied so caringly, almost, though her claws were far less.. cautious, Deva's dress ripping easily, except for her poket, actually a hidden bag of holding which slithered off into the darkness, certainly too subtly for Valerie to notice, soon, the angels soft, pale and smooth skin exposed below her, a hint of faint arousal from the werewolfs musk obvious on her flushed skin, from her feet over her loins to her cheeks, all of her body showing subtly signs of arousal, Deva struggling to truly muster a fight against the wonderful alpha above her.

Though Narcissus angry shouting caused a darkening of Deva's expression that, for the closer up werewolf, provoked an instinctual standing up of the hairs on the back of her neck. As much as she wanted to submit to the mighty alpha, she was not this buffoons to command! Deva growled and her shadow wavered, though the scent of the wild wolf distracted her quite easily again... with her panting, even before Valerie had closed in, looking at the dominant wolf above her. "Haah.. you like it.. I knew it... then why fight the beast...?" Deva half asked herself and then, staring at Valeries shaft she smirked. "H.. haaah.. your cock.. I can't..I .. I'm not just some bitch..." She gulped, licking her lips at the sight, the magnificent alphas shaft before her, Deva extending her tongue, taking in, tasting that drop of yummy precum.. and licking the alphas shaft, licking at it, obediantly, pleasingly, submissively. She couldn't fight the alpha.. again, she struggled a little, half to put up a show for Narcissus, and half because it felt good to be forced down into her place by the wolf, to tease the feral beast rather than the boring amazon, a stray thought whispered, certainly not at all to actually escape...

"Can't help myself.. you're just such a beautiful fuckbeast..." She proclaimed, licking at Valeries shaft unless the wild wolf encouraged her to do more, clearly enjoying herself. and sighing lustfully... "So strong.. really.. I doubt anyone can truly control an alpha like you they all have to just submit.." Deva whispered and smirked up to Valerie.. perhaps Serp was right, perhaps this was a bad idea, but the wolf-cock before her was just too enticing... and for now, she endured Narcissus gloating and belitteling of her mistress as a mutt.. no, a perverted part of her enjoyed the idea once more, chiding herself, even while licking at the tip of the wolfcock before her, her dress pretty much shredded, her naked form exposed before the wolf.
She might as well try her best to playact the part, she decided.. of course it was only acting.: "Sh.. shut up you damned angel.. just because that dog-cock is so.. beautiful.. hamnn.. c.. come on Valerie, you are not just a fuck-beast.. haah.. s.. so what, you make me think about dog-cock a bit and that'll make you win? Hah. I'll.. s.. sate myself and beat you up aftewards." She goaded Narcissus, as much effort as it took to not lash out at him for insulting her alp.. her mistress and daring to command her. It was true, one of the Valerie-mistresses 'versions' was right here, right atop of her.. even if Neith had said.. but the dark godess had conditioned her to enjoy this musk and.. the wolf-beast was so powerful, even more powerful and fight-hungry and stronger than what Valerie had been... she panted hotly under it. "Grrr.. y..You're not going to make me submit this easily! Just because I like beastcock doesn't mean I can't mess you up!" She complained, beginning to intonate a spell, a spell which, considering her position, Valerie had ample time to silence. Of course, her mouth was ment to please Valerie like a good cockslut.. a good bitch? should... should.. it was hard to think of something whilest basking in the alphas musk, trying not to think about being violated by Narcissus attack-mutt but being used by her amazonian if.. rather furry right now, mistress, looking up to the wolfs eyes with a look of wanton arousal, her mouth sallivating, the scent of her arousal and desire for submission heavy in the air for the wolves sharpened senses.

For now, the form in the shadows watched.. and also focused on their magic. All Narcissus had done was collect some holy energy.. that was nothing to worry about.

Narcissus would only be mildly upset at the lack of banter between himself and his opponent, more just happy that Valerie was doing an excellent job of distracting the angel and giving him all the time in the world to build up the power he needed to ensure his victory. At least, in his mind having this power at the ready meant that there was no chance for Deva to win, though he did have the problem of always overestimating just how powerful he could be. But he even had other back up plans just in case this one had failed, as his boss had spent quite a bit of time thinking this plan up carefully. So he just stood back, now having his Holy Energy at the ready, and let Valerie have her fun with Deva.

Serp, meanwhile, was learning the same thing that Isa had learned through her travels with Deva. Regardless of what happened when he made it back to his story, he definitely did NOT want to find himself facing Deva for any reason. He could almost feel the power that Deva had to be able to pull off something that was so impressive, and yet at the same time so subtle that anyone without an eye for this kind of thing might completely miss it. He made the same internal note of the ice mage, which was to not face Deva unless there was an extremely good reason for doing so, as chances were that he would be easily defeated at this point. While he didn't have a birds eye view of the battlefield, he did notice how every shadow that he could see was casting in a strange way, not able to put together that they were all being drawn to Deva, but at least recognizing that they were all going off in the wrong way.

Valerie would smile wildly as she held Deva in her grip, seeming even more excited by the way that Deva put up just a little bit of resistance, unable to fight off the powerful wolf. Yet at the same time it showed just how much of Valerie was still left in the wolf, as there was a sort of odd gentleness to her grip, as though she wanted to be forceful and dominant, and yet at the same time she didn't want to legitimately hurt the angel. She held her close, pulling herself back just a little bit so that she could get a good look at Deva now that the angel was completely stripped down, taking in her arousal and naked body, sniffing her some more to memorize her scent, the scent of her prey, the scent of her bitch to be. Deva would hear a low growl of lust as Valerie ran her tongue against the angel's skin, smirking a bit as she enjoyed the taste of lust, along with submission. She would moan just a bit as she held the angel now, licking her body up and down some more, that long and wet tongue moving against her, the wolf excited to explore every inch of Deva's body. And with her being properly naked, she could feel her Aplha's eyes on her body, she could almost feel the desire that was radiating off of the werewolf, Valerie WANTED her, and she wanted her so very bad right now. Images of being brought back to Valerie's den and ravishing her again and again, fucking her and breeding her day in and day out, Valerie protecting her to ensure that no one dared to even touch her valuable bitch... It would all seem so enticing, one of the most desirable things that could ever happen to her...

For another brief moment, the werewolf would hesitate when it felt the dark expression coming from Deva, hair standing up on the back of her neck at the expression, once again looking like she had a bit of thought left in her head aside from the animal instincts that were overcoming her. But she had been brave even when she was just a human, and now that she was even stronger than before, and even braver, her moment of hesitation would fade back just as quickly into the mind of an animal. Any hesitation was gone as she went right back to roughly groping her prey, starting to nibble on Deva's ear and neck just a little, once again not harming her, but giving small nips to show her dominance, show that she was in completely control of the situation and could do anything that she wanted to the angel without a single hint of fear in her. Valerie wouldn't be able to answer any more of Deva's questions, now too caught up in her wild lusts, the only hint that she had any problems with her situation was her 'but' from earlier, and apparently it seemed that the werewolf would only be responding with growls and moans of lust at this point, once again growling low as she heard Deva saying that she wasn't just some bitch. And even as she said those words... it would feel as though she were lying to herself and her Alpha... What she had just said felt... so wrong... like she was saying things that she knew deep down weren't true. Especially once she reached her tongue out to lick that throbbing dog-cock, getting that single drop of precum on her tongue, a burst of satisfaction, happiness, and pleasure running through her, the taste almost indescribable from even just a single drop. It was wonderful, delicious, satisfying... the perfect taste sliding across her tongue as even a single drop of that warm, sticky, delicious cum filled her mouth... And with that she would find it even harder to deny that she was the Alpha's bitch... that she belonged to Valerie, meant to only pleasure her, to be used whenever her Alpha wished, only there to fulfill every desire that Valerie wanted. She could feel the anticipation building inside of her, imagining being properly taken by this powerful werewolf, and being her favorite, most valuable bitch... There to be fucked day in and day out, that hard cock thrusting in and out of her every morning to start the day, always wet and ready for her Alpha, that overpowering musk encouraging those thoughts.

Valerie would shiver lustfully as she felt Deva's tongue on her throbbing, long cock... and once again Deva would feel as though she was only doing what was right, what she was meant to do, pleasure and lick at her Aplha's cock... The former Amazoness would grip Deva close to her, nodding in agreement when Deva said that she couldn't resist a proper Alpha like her, something that the Alpha would obviously agree with considering that she was the Alpha in question. Though the little resistance that Deva was putting up with did make Narcissus laugh, not seeming nervous anymore now that he could tell that Deva was struggling against someone as powerful as his new attack dog. "Ha! Shout at me all you want... I'm not the one about to be fucked by an attack dog! That mangy mutt's going to fuck you, stay confident all you want, but she'll break you. She nearly broke you when she WASN'T a werewolf, now that 'Mistress' has empowered the little Mutt, she'll have no problem bending you over and taking you like the bitch you are! I don't know why I was so worried... Considering that this fucking mutt can deal with you, I'd have no issue facing someone that can't even deal with such a pathetic little mangy creature like this one... Pah! Gloat all you wish... actions speak louder than words, and the cock you're about to suck off says something far different." He'd laugh to himself, glowing with radiant, holy energy, not even caring about how strong that he knew that Deva was. Now that she had been defeated, he didn't even spare her a thought, simply watching to make sure that the angel fell to the werewolf that he had brought with him. Hell, even if things went tits up he'd have more back up to call along with him in case this one didn't manage to do it, so really he felt that this battle was already over. The moment that Deva began to intonate a spell, Valerie would look at her, seeming just slightly upset at whatever it was that she was doing, so she'd silence her. But rather than just cover her mouth or something simple like that, instead she'd grab the back of Deva's head and fill her mouth with wolf cock, shoving it between her lips, thrusting in and out, just a few times to give Deva the rhythm, then holding her hands on the back of the angel's head and guiding her to bob her head up and down on that shaft. And Deva would desperately want to suck her off now, that musk directly by her nose as she moved down to the base, encouraging her to suck her Alpha off, to fulfill her duty as a proper Bitch. Why should she focus on her spells when there was a cock right in front of her that NEEDED to be sucked, and that was exactly what she was meant to do. She needed to pleasure the Alpha, there was no other option really, a Bitch needed to please the Alpha of their pack, especially one as powerful, dominating, beautiful, and so very arousing as Valerie... Her cock was just begging to be sucked off... no... not begging... DEMANDING to be sucked...

Valerie would guide Deva into a rhythm, holding the back of her head just strong enough to ensure that she wouldn't be able to pull herself away, keeping her mouth occupied to make casting any other spells much more difficult. But then... she'd suddenly push Deva gently off that cock, stopping her from sucking it off for now, smiling lewdly, her tongue hanging out to further betray her excitement. She'd grip Deva tightly, making sure that she wouldn't be able to escape no matter what, though the very thought of escaping would be hard to keep in Deva's head. The powerful wolf would start moving Deva around, forcing her onto all fours, standing behind her, looking at her pussy and ass now that she was on the ground like that... The wolf would bring her face up to Deva's dripping pussy, taking another deep sniff, enjoying Deva's scent as much as she was enjoying Valerie's musk. Then she would let her tongue run up and down her sex, tasting it slowly, that warm and wet tongue lapping up and down between her legs, giving a few slow, long licks to properly prepare the angel, as well as taste her own property... Then she would bend over the angel, putting her cock right up against Deva's pussy, pressing against her lips, but not pushing in, not yet, just leaving it there to make her want it, to show her just how much of a bitch she was, to show her that she was completely and utterly owned by the werewolf. She wanted Deva to experience just how bad she WANTED that cock deep inside her, she wanted the angel to know how badly she WANTED to be Valerie's bitch, just another sign of dominance over the angel, rubbing that hard tip right against her wet slit, teasing her just to further express her dominance over the angel.

Where Narcissus and Deva found common ground was in their convictions of victory, though each for different reasons. In Devas case it wasn't that she couldn't see, or respect the amount of holy energy Narcissus wielded, he was about as powerful as a genuine arch-angel if he tried to... though she doubted he could maintain that power forever.

Deva gasped under the warm wetness of the inhuman tongue going for her, fighting an urge to squirm in more playful lust than pure arousal for a moment, blushing and looking up at Valerie.. she could sense the wolfs wants and desires.. being brought back being kept safe from others... it was.. enticing, to say the least, with Deva smirking lewdly. The one thing Narcissus would never understand was just how strong her desire for submission could make her...
She blushed under the tongue, and murred under the nibblings, clearly enjoying herself with the wolfish companion, inwardly, steeling herself. What did she want.. what did.. her alpha.. want...
The lustful growling and moaning certainly didn't help Deva's decision making in this situation, a strong, instinctual part of her calling out loudly to simply submit to the mighty wolf above her.... yeah, she was wrong.. she was a bitch... just a single drop of her alphas precum set that certainty into Deva's mind.. if the other agents wanted to take her away from her alpha they had better bring their best game.. a part of her mused as she savoured the taste of fiery wolf-cum.
She panted ever so slightly, lips parting.. both upper, and lower, in response to the sensations the wolfish cum unleashed in her mind, savouring the perverted taste, the idea of being there only to be mated..

Only the taste of wolf-cock and accompanying submissive humiliation kept Deva from cutting down Narcissus for daring to insult his alpha.. right now, her needs came first, after all, Valerie quickly reminded her with that cock... the angel closed her eyes as she felt that cock push into her a few times, then, herself encouraged to a rythm.. long ago she had already been .. trained to enjoy giving oral sex like this so she did her very best, her head bopping up and down on the alpha, sucking, licking, moaning onto that wolf-cock while she was servicing it.. it was just too wonderful to ignore! And Valerie felt good, really good, infact.. it felt empowering to dominate Deva. As if merely fucking the angel made her more of a mistress, as her bitch moaned, her head rocking and eagerly, obediantly following the pace Valerie set for her, coating the length of the wolf-shaft with her warm salliva, moaning, burrowing her nose in that musky fur for long moments before pulling back and lapping at the tip of the wolf-shaft, before being.. pushed back, looking up in a moment of disappointed confusion. "Haah.. Va.. valerie.. aa.. alpha.." She gulped as she found Valerie push her onto all fours, having little desire to escape her.. predicament, moan-blushing and looking up at the mighty wolf above her. gasping under the tongue licking at her, that cock prodding at her, her bestial lust clearly seeming to overwhelm her, . and as she felt the tip of that cock prod at her, it was not her instinct to fight, but her instinct to submit that made her back off and exclaim, no, demand.. better. Something instinctual perhaps suddenly warned Valerie...

"You want to just push me down and fuck me? No. You want a proper fight! Make me your b.. bitch proper! Yes. A fight only a true alpha could win.. no mutt or slave." She felt so hot.. literally.. for her beautiful mistress, but Valerie.. being used.. by others, by this insolent angel.. it was disgusting. Deva would have no more of it. "My mistress. So beautiful and feral.. haamnn .. perhaps we could both be obediant bitches.. but.. I doubt this was your choice. YOU'RE CERTAINLY NOT THIS ONE'S DOG!" Deva shouted out, a casacade of darkness erupting from her, pushing Valerie off of her if she had not jumped back on instinct, with Deva licking her lips with the taste of Valeries wonderful shaft on her.

"I guess I can undo all of the seals. Everyone here is extraordinary, so none will die.. I hope. Well, if nothing more, Narcissus, the eigth, commend yourself for taunting my full power out of me with your foulness. Fade to Black. " Deva mused engulfed in an aura of darkness, just like Mortema had been, but far more.. concentrated and condensed. Finally, for the first time, Isa would feel what Deva had described as excess energy, used when someone used powers so great they could not properly contain them, emanating from the angel. But it was Different than Mortema's aura of dominion. It felt.. heavy. Even from this far away, just looking at the angel now was almost physically draining, as tendrils of darkness lashed around Deva and the angel smirked, while her broom also showed a sign of unsealing upon it, only to shift and lengthen into some sort of bladed guisarme.. at the same time as Deva was re-dressed with an armor incorporating both light and dark elements, engulfed by darkness and smiling over to Valerie with a lustful glance, while the entire world of the lands in between slowly fell into a gentle twilight. While Narcissus had summoned an intimidating amount of holy power, the whole of darkness Deva had managed to summon more subtly still eclipsed him once more now.

"The hardest part of all of this wasn't lying about lacking elemental mastery to Isa in case she got caught.. it was not laughing at the simple attempts Priscilla used against me.. -though she has quite the unrealized potential.- Or at Mortema, who only one-sidedly gorged herself on raw power over everything else." She nodded to Valerie. "Compared to those mistresses, just for acknowledging I might win, I was a potential danger to you, you are better than them.. You deserve a truly strong mate. And I guess it is time I prove I am one."
And then, that strange Guisarme thrust into her own shadow, only to come out of Narcissus, striking at him with little warning. However.. when the blade cut Narcissus it.. actually didn't cut his flesh at all, even if it should have. Even if it hit the holy defense and was absorbed, it seemed to cut through and hit... something. "Darkness element: Shadow assasination."

"I guess, as you like to talk so much, or rather, hear yourself talk, Narcissus, I will fulfill this as your dying wish. You and the beautiful Alpha are actually the first to see this form of mine. and no, you did not fail to make me want to submit to her.. this is how I prove my worth.. mistress.. please see how strong I can be." She planted her guisarme firmly into the ground, giving Valerie a challenging look. "But anyway. You propably spied on me when I told Isa I could not use any element well... I lied to her, just in case someone broke into her mind before this. Well, technically, I was no good at darkness magic, this is a present.. though one quite permanent. Oh and unlike Mortema, I have full control over this." Actually.. that was not the case at all. While she could use darkness magic on a high level, while the shadow aura both protected and empowered her massively it was like constantly straining all of ones muscles pulling a heavy weight, she wouldn't be out of comission like Mortema, but if she stayed in this state too long... worries for later. For now.. her Alpha deserved a truly strong bitch. Deserved a fight to prove her dominance and Narcissus deserved.. well..

She smirked, as Valerie became engulfed in shadows as well, as Deva smirked... "Hoh.. such a mistake! I'm such a horny slut for my mistress.. while gathering shadow energy, I must have infused her with it somehow... I guess I just couldn't help that.." And, displaying intimidating speed Deva rushed, to her knees, licking at Valeries shaft once more... Shadowy power flowing into her alpha.. and.. another vision of the future. Valerie.. not a beast, but a powerful wolf-woman, walking upright and dressed, albeit revealingly, a grin on her face as she stood proudly, her beautiful, obediant slave-angel by her side, the beast that she truly was screaming for her to take on her true form and ravage the angel.. but she kept it in control... and it felt so good to keep the wolf in control, only to unleash it.
Every second she could smell her bitches scent, every moment she wanted to push her down and ravage her, but every moment she fought herself, steeling her will.. until finally, sweetly surrendering to the beast.. the beast, the alpha, was far too mighty to resist after all. "Hamnn.. thats something neither you nor your mistress planned for, right.. someone that'd give Valerie even MORE power. Because you two couldn't understand the idea of someone having such a trump card.. and then actually empowering someone else rather than using it all for themselfs. How is it?... it must be hard.. to control a wild beast with all that power running wild.."Deva cooed, and Valerie had little reason to stop or fight her. Deva was submitting, more than that, she was infusing Valerie with power.. a power of darkness.. and there was only one here, that wielded an opposing power.. a disgusting power of holy light.
The angel simply smirked, talking to Valerie almost casually. "You want to win me as your bitch, but fair and square. Both you and the beast know it to be true. Fucking a female bitch is the most fun when you won her with proper strength, as price for your might alone,.. not when you pounced on her at the command of another. What are you, a tamed dog? Or a mighty wolf? Because.." Deva cooed, another illusiory image of Valerie, simply as she was right now, strength and fire and darkness, towering over Deva being conjured by the angel. A naughty angel who busied herself turning into a floating shadow, solidifying again behind Valerie, quite literally bowing down kissing her ass while she smirked. "Because you look like a wolf to me, a wolf that takes no ones commands. Remember I said I'd do this the first time we met, mistress. I enjoy being a slave, enjoy your strength, your gentle force. I do not enjoy this despicable angel presuming he is your better. What exactly makes him stronger than you?" She peered over to Narcissus. "And.. while you'd rather fuck me, yes.. who would you rather fight and tear down?" Deva whispered, encouragingly into Valeries ears, then added. "I know how they riled you up against me. They told you I killed Neith and that I had to be punished, put in my place.. but look, or just smell at my collar. Really look.." She grinned, conspiratorily, her expression subservient, her guisarme only subtly sneaking into the shadow and poking right back out of it, cutting into Valeries ancle.. again without drawing blood, meanwhile, the angel smirked ever so subtly on, backing off. from Valerie, offering:

"But.. you are free to fight me too, Valerie. I will certainly give you a challenge, if you rather tear me down than him. But don't lie. I felt it in your gentle touch. You're not really under their control anyway. These two fools never realized how strong your will was.. it's just that you were naturally little opposed to .. making me yours anyway." She exhaled, still having more than half of her shadows around her after empowering Valerie. "But neither my wit, nor this shadow power is turly the reason why, long ago, all monsters feared my very name."

She lifted her Guisarme, twirling it and holding it out. as she proclaimed: And, again, her aura flared up, this time rather than darkness it was light, warming, encouraging, but nonetheless dazzling those that tried to look directly at her, emanating from the guisarme, the power behind what had been sealed as a broom.. "The Victors Right. That's my brooms true name and power. But, you two, allow me to demonstrate. Valerie: Like a true mistress, if a command is not given to you with proper respect, you will never obey it." As soon as Deva demanded this, something.. shifted about Valeries expression, the angels words becoming an overwhelming truth and, in retrospect, Narcissus commands seemed.. wrong.
"I can impose a condition upon the one my blade hits. The more severe the attack, the broader the condition I can place." She explained and pointed at Narcissus.
"As long as you can not find anything more beautiful than you, you can't see yourself anymore." Deva said and, while for everyone else that were just words, odd at best, for Narcissus, it became a truth inscribed upon his soul. even looking down on himself, he could only see a vague, blurry shape. Any mirror image would fail to properly display him, while Deva spun her Guisarme back and raised a hand, ready to fight either the amazon and fully awaken her through the challenge.. or defend against the indubitably enraged angel.
"Oh by the way, those conditions are quite permanent, unless you managed to kill me, or at least make me release Ius Victoria willingly of course... though frankly, judging by the amount of holy energy you mobilize after actually trying there... frankly, why don't you give me your most powerful shot, and see how it ends up. I'm only protected by about two thirds of my shadow aura, you might leave a bruise. Oh watch out!" She taunted the angel, thrusting her Guisarme into her shadow, with it emerging from his once more, attempting to cut him again, Deva smirking with a dark satisfaction after the things he had said about her mighty, primal mistress, if she hit or not. "You know, you should try and summon this Mortema, we could have a proper tug of war of shadow magic then. I'm sure it couldn't backfire at all on you if I were to win. Or why don't you skip to summoning the third to give me an actual challenge? No, no, better plan, summon some Eladrin to help me defeat you, apparently all your summons are good for is either being destroyed by me or destroying you." She smirked, haughtily. If this push, combined with the full release of her third trump-card was not enough to push Narcissus, nothing would be.

Truthfully though, if both of the agents, exspecially the empowered Valerie did decide to fight her at full strength she might tire out, might be defeated... and by the wrong one to boot. Luckily, she had her hidden helper in the shadows, right now, watching Narcissus closely.. pondering if revealing another player would force him into enough despair to try and summon the first.. well, for now, Deva seemed to have things under control.
