Re: The Trial of the Champion

The queen would further help Lindsay by engraving a few runes into her sword. The process seemed simple enough though it did take about an hour to finish. Her blade now had runes inscribed within the hilt and blade, hopefully giving her the method to equal the playing field against incorporeal beings.

As they would head out from the Lich's study on their way to the temple, there was a caravan that had welcomed them with open arms. The queen was right that the trek to the temple was likely to be uneventful, as the caravan was moving at a leisurely pace.

(Use explore to conduct a little investigation of the caravan?)

As the pair would approach the caravan, a male would not hide his opinion of the view the queen and Lindsay presented him. "We are headed to the temple to see Kalarima. Would you allow us to travel with you while our paths are similar?"

Lindsay was expecting the caravan to welcome them with open arms, though just how open those arms would be to what they seemed to think might have been two possibly helpless girls was something to be determined later. Lindsay would want to avoid conflict if she could, and travelling with a caravan would allow her to conserve her energy until she reached the temple in a perfect world.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

(Hm well it seems your luck with my dice is not getting any better. Starting off this adventure with a 2.)

"Well your in luck my dear were headed up the main road to that brach. We wont be going to the temple itself with you but we'll pass within a mile or so of it. Take a seat on the caravan or do your best to keep pace with the guards. your welcome to walk with us." he said with a smile as Linsay and the queen would meld into the caravan.

"Right I keep forgetting to tell you my name, before it was because I though I was never going to have a body again. It's Millia." She said with a smile as they melded into the caravan, Linsay would find herself getting hard and harder pressed to keep up with the caravan, her stamina not what it used to be. As she slowly fell behind she would see what the caravan was of, mostly food and spices, nothing sinister or odd, at least not that she could find while trying to not get left behind. Millia already a part of the caravan sadly had lost track of her friend, as she neared the last cart a kindly man pulled her onto his cart and let her sit beside him as he drove the horses.

"Seem like your not doing well walking with us? Not used to long over land travel I take it?"

--Explore to explore the caravan for useful information, roll 2+8=10vs15 to find useful gear for her next adventure, No damage done, yet.--

Re: The Trial of the Champion

(surprise! dice hate me.. they really do. I should know better than to go to a craps table at a casino, but nope! went right to it like a moth to the flame this afternoon. Was not pretty..)

Lindsay would see that the caravan was going in their general direction, and the logical aspect of safety in numbers made it a pretty easy decision to travel with the caravan. As they were walking, the queen would avow Lindsay of her actual name. Finally able to address her by her name, Millia and Lindsay would blend into the caravan. Lindsay kind of wondered a bit as to why she never actually asked what her name was, but it was not seemingly much of an issue between the two.

As they would start walking, Lindsay would try to check out the caravan. As the effort being put into trying not to be too obvious was getting to be a bit much, she decided to feign falling behind a little. Though this would make her lose sight of Millia, Lindsay would get picked up by the last cart.

Sitting down next to the man who was driving the cart, she would attempt to win him over. Hopefully not overdoing the whole damsel in distress routine too far that she was unbelievable. (Naughty roll here I guess?)

"Looks like the walking had gotten to be a bit much, I seem to be fatigued from the travel getting to the caravan. Thanks for picking me up, I could use the rest all told." With this Lindsay would try to befriend the cart driver using her feminine charms if she could. Lindsay could not help but think there might be something a little off with this caravan, but she was unable to put her mind to rest just yet until she knew for sure one way or the other.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

"Well my dear we have about a day of travel before we hit the temple if you wanted to rest I have some pillows in the back of the wagon you can rest on. I think some sleep would do you good, then you'll be awaken when we reach the temple and all will be well." He said with a smile as his eyes grazed down her body but only for a moment, before returning to her face.

The guards surrounding the caravan were all mounted upon horses and most of them looked serious and over armed for such a safe trip, and they focused their guard around the middle cart, of the five in the caravan. It seemed the most valuable things were there, or at least the things they valued most were there.

--Rest for now to regain your composure, or search the caravan again, admittedly from the back runing forward Linsay would be decidedly more noticed right now as she and her friend had just entered the group. Millia was sill no where to be seen.--

Re: The Trial of the Champion

Lindsay still had it in the back of her mind that Millia was nowhere to be seen. Figuring if anyone could fend for themselves, it would be her. When they would arrive near the temple, if she were still nowhere to be seen, there would be a problem. Millia would certainly know where the temple was, and Lindsay did not control her. Figuring she could fend for herself, Lindsay would not try to jump to assumptions that would lead to an altercation.

Choosing to take the advice of the driver, Lindsay would rest. Mostly driven by the idea that expending the least amount of energy before getting to the temple, this might clue her into any ill intentions that the caravan might have. As she would look around, even as she started to fall back earlier, the middle of the 5 wagons were the most highly watched over. Almost all of the armed guards were close to that wagon and it was obvious that if anything were out of place it would be there.

Lindsay was going to likely figure out some manner of ploy to try if she wanted to get to that middle wagon. A show of force was likely not the best option as there were alot of guards and only one of her. For now, she would tell the driver to wake her about an hour before they would go their seperate ways. If they were honest then there would be little issue, and if anyone was looking for her the driver would be told to let them know she was here. In all fairness Millia could end up finding her while she slept.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

Linsays rest would be uninterrupted as they traveled down the road. She was eventually awakened by Millian who was kneel with her head in her lap. Seemingly meditating, and currently rather out of it from the looks of her. The driver chuckled to himself as he noticed Linsay awakening.

"We'll be at breaking point for you in a little bit probably want to get yourselves ready, I've never heard of anyone actually leaving that place once they go there." He said slightly grim, as the wagon continued onwards.

"Are you well rested my friend?" Millia asked as they continued onwards, "This is going to test you, rather harshly and I hope you are prepared for it." She added smiling down at her friend.

(Sorry for the short post little time today before work to really do it, I'll put up another one later tonight with the temple's start.)

" Well, ready as i could ever be. Just out of curiousity Millia, could you turn into a shield? ... Just kinda curious because the way you are talking, it sounds like you would not be going with me when we get to the temple.

Maybe still just paranoid since everything has been out to get her up until the caravan they just travelled with. They did not seem bad, but a level of paranoia was obvious. Lindsay went through so much and now could be separated from Millia.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

"I could turn into armor for you considering my size armor would probably be best. But the thing about the prophet is they challenge you inside your mind as well as inside mine, i'll help where I can but most of this challenge will be on your own sadly." She said with a smile. "It's not that I wont be going with you but more because I'm going to be in my own challenges." So even as armor I will probably be little help to you. Although if I get lost along the way to your victory it will not stop you from reach your victory. And it would probably save me anyways. She is going to show you the choices you've made to this point and where you could have changed your path. She is going to see if your worthy of their knowledge, she always appeared as a woman to me but she has been both genders for many people I've known to go through the temple. Sadly I will probably default to she when speaking of the prophet. If she finds you worthy she will answer your question of your destiny and show you the possible paths you may walk going forward." She paused as she felt herself rambling on.

"It's funny I've never really talked like this at length of this, I was always in control. I was always the one making the choices, now I've been defeated completely and saved. So I will follow you through this, I don't actually know what I am going to do while you go through the temple. I would imagine having my own challenges but maybe not." She added quizically as the caravan came upon the point of passing.

They would part from the merchants with smiles as they seemed mostly fine with a few more people walking with them. The path towards the temple was a simple one, a long series of stairs leading up a mountain.

--Any final question for Millia need be asked now as the temple resides before you and the time for conversing and getting knowledge will pass and the challenges will begin.--

"Interesting, I guess I was being a bit selfish. This should be interesting, I was never really much of one to overcome mental challenges. Though I am pretty good in combat, the mages were always smarter than me. I guess it was that I knew my place and just got really good at what I could do and never really focused on what I was not very good at...

Here goes nothing.."

Lindsay would think about what Millia had said for a few seconds.

"So if you were tested as well, and were able to pass. Would that mean I could still rely on you to succeed if I failed?

Lindsay would really only have that to muse over before the entered the temple. Irrelevant of Millia's answer they still needed to go through the trials of the temple.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

Millia stopped and contemplated for a few moments. "Maybe, honestly I never talked with anyone I took with me to this temple so I have no idea. But assuming I am also tested as I assume I am probably yes." She said with a smile as they began up the steps of the temple, the steps were easy as finally the temple entered their frame of view. It was a rather small looking building sitting upon the top of the mountain.

The main door stood with two statues flanking it one of a male and one of a female, they were staring ahead looking seemingly at nothing. As they approached the door a voice would speak, nothing booming or imposing just calm and polite.

"You came seeking truth and knowledge of your destiny and where to follow your path. You shall be tested as you pass through these doors, if you do not believe yourself worthy leave now, and no one will think less of you." The voice said calmly as Millia stared at the door.

"Looks so different now, and I have no idea why. Nothing about it has changed." She said taking hold of a wrist behind her back as she waited for Linsay to move first.

"Looks like whatever you knew about this place is going to be used against you... Good luck, Millia."

Lindsay would head in first. Milla was likely to follow close behind. This place likely was different for Millia as she herself is different now. Whatever the temple had in store for them. Lindsay was as ready as she could ever be to take on the trials.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

Linsay found herself standing in a small hallway barely five feet wide. Every fifteen feet or so a light was glowing in the roof of the hallway. With no where to go but forward she pressed deeper into the temple. The voice returned again.

"You are Linsay, warrior who has passed her trail and lost her town. What is it you seek my counsel for?" She asked as she finally came upon a room, in the centered stood a suit of armor. It looked familiar, as she realized it was the suit of armor from her test, as she approached and entered the room she would find it circular with many paintings lining the walls. As she glanced at them she would notice them slowly shift and take a new shape. One of her in revealing armor sensually standing in front of the man who gave her the test. Another of her glued to a wall leaking cum with small scratches on her limbs from where what ever had fucked her stupid had been grabbing her.

Linsay had the realization quickly, these were all the possible fates that might have befallen her thus far in her trial. As she glanced around only the half the room was filled with pictures of places or creatures she recognized, the other half was filled with places and creatures she did not. With a shudder she noticed three of the future paintings were of her corpse, only one painting stood out, it was of her standing in impressive looking armor, with a decidedly better looking sword. It was her if she succeeded on the quest she was undertaking. Easily thirty possible fates that would be available to her on this quest, and only one was favorable to her.

"If you walk the path of fate which you currently follow, the possibility of you having a favorable future is small. Although mayhaps you don't want a favorable future." The voice spoke again.

(This is going to be no roll, I want you to pick a number between 1 and 15, depending upon how frightened and concerned Linsay would be to see so many of the possibilities of her questing ending poorly for her, and in some cases in death.)

Re: The Trial of the Champion

Lindsay would be presented with a hall. Visions of the past and future would be shown before her. Some were alternate realities of what may have been were she to have failed. Others were of the future and the failures that she would endure with the challenges that could be set before her. Most were rather erotic in all fairness and given the choice she certainly would favor those over the few that only had a skeleton as those signified her death.

A voice had confronted her, and what it had to say truly left Lindsay wondering about the answer. In truth, she simply did not know why they had went to this temple. Millia had said this was the place to go to next, and Lindsay would trust Millia's judgment.

"This is going to sound bad, but I really do not know why I am here. My companion, Millia had said this was the place we needed to go to next... Here we are.

If it were not for Millia guiding me here, I would have tried to seek out whoever was responsible for destroying my village. I know the tracks headed north, but it looked like a whole army was responsible for destroying the village and I am only one woman."

Lindsay was a soldier, or at least should have been were her village not destroyed after the trials she faced were completed. Maybe it was just a guiding light for her to follow that she was looking for now.

(Assuming 1 is low and 15 high, Lindsay would have her level of concern at about a 6 right now.)

Re: The Trial of the Champion

--Basic challenge, nothing really to add it is a test of Linsays resolve to see her path to the end be it sweet, or bitter. 6 vs 15 9 Will Power damage.--

Linsay would feel the images mocking her, oddly enough slightly draining her, her resolve tested and found slightly wanting.

"It seems you know fear of your path, this is wise, none should blindly follow into a destiny they do not know has these pit falls in them. Proceed forward warrior, if you are here for the same reason as your companion, then you hare here for a location. The location of the Lich you already battled, and the location of his soul, which would be required to vanquish him forever." The voice paused as it let the knowledge move into the young warrior woman. The voice would begin again after giving her a moment to process the information.

"Your destiny is what you are going to find here, and your destiny should probability be believed, is to be killed, or enslaved by one of the many monstrous forces that reside in this world. be it with orc's, the would be emperor of growing power that destroyed your village, or as the Liches plaything." The voice calmed from it's previous volume to something sweeter, like a mother speaking to her children, to give them strength and determination to progress forward. "Although probability is not the only master upon which you will be tested, should probability be believed most all would fail as success is such a rare thing. That presumption is wrong, proceed onwards Linsay, we have more tests for you to under go to see if you are the destined one that your path seems to dictate you are. Before I cease speaking here and let you continue I ask you a simple question, do you know the reason your village has this test for all warriors to under go?"

With that the voice silenced and the images on the wall began to shift again, each image of her path became no longer just a painting, but a moving series of images of her fall. From the erotic to the destructive, the room continuing to bombard her with the moments of her quests end, as slowly moans and screams of pain and pleasure began to fill the chamber.

--Remain and attempt to make sense of what the images are showing you, or push deeper into the temple and find out why she is truly here.--

Re: The Trial of the Champion

Lindsay would feel her own willpower be sucked away from her as the murals and imagery would take shape around her. The voice would resume and speak of probability. Something Lindsay has so far been able to defy, as she emerged victorious over the trials and the initial form of the Lich so far as well. Though she was foolish to think that it would always be easy or that she should always win. Lindsay would know that there will come a time that she will fight a battle that she can not possibly win. Such is the way of a warrior.

As the voice finished speaking, it asked a question that Lindsay thought she knew the answer to.

"To separate the wheat from the chaff as it were. Only the warriors that emerge from the trial are able to come forth and join the ranks of the military force that protects the village.

Though for some reason I am starting to question even that. I almost think that it is those who fail who are returned to the village and those who pass are meant to become something greater. None the less, I will face your challenges."

Even as she started to answer, Lindsay questioned herself while she responded. Why was it that the town was destroyed in full between the time she entered and completed the trial? How was this even possible? There were many questions and little in the way of answers available to Lindsay.

(remain in the room)

Looking at the room more closely, Lindsay would try to make sense of what exactly was going on here. Almost feeling like this in of itself was a test, Lindsay would start to go around the room and examine the room while full well remaining cognizant of the suit of armor in the middle of the room. Were it like the previous one she encountered, it would animate and attack her. Lindsay simply needed to remain vigilant in that regard.

Once she was done circling through the room, Lindsay would intend to proceed onward. Though the feeling that she would be missing something were she to simply move onward was in the back of her mind. It was as if this were an answer sheet of sorts, showing all the possible paths that her journey may have otherwise taken and the paths ahead of her yet to be explored.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

Linsay's mind in a jumble of information and doubt, she would come upon an image of her collared behind her many other slave girls rested chained to the wall. She recognized the area, that was the realm of her trial, the painting stopped shifting slightly and changed. The colors pulling at her eyes and mind, she felt the same sensation as she did when the lich attempted to dominate her, but had little time to react and protect herself. In an instant she was inside the painting, inside that possible fate she had over come.

--Naughty roll keep your composure from what you see, roll 1+10=11 vs 20 9 lewd damage.--

The master of her trial was behind her pounding away at her cunt and her body reacted as she felt the pleasure pouring through her enslaved self. She moaned with her tongue hanging out thinking of nothing but being breed for her master. He continued pounding into her and seemingly to taunt her began to speak.

"I am pleased your village sent at least one more breeding bitch for me, would have prefered a warrior but so be it. That's right slut, your village pays me tribute, those I send back are those who I have had my way with to the point of boredom. Those are the female warriors who guard your village, those who I breed until they could no longer bear children, then send them back after a little healing magic. You look the same, I send you back to only a half hour before you left," He grunted as he came into Linsay's wet and willing cunt, as Linsay's enslaved body reached her climax around his cock. Her body screaming completely lost in pleasure. "Your village is a place I can get warriors from or breeding bitches, honestly your village gets more breeding bitches then warriors." He laughed as he pulled his cock out releasing the chain around her neck, her body would flop against the slab she was bent over as he fucked her. Linsay felt the pull again as the images shifted again.

"Ah good to see your return Lin." The master of the trail said as this time linsay watched as she approached him, her body more toned and powerful. Her armor consisting of little more then an armored bikini with a skirt but she seemed not to care.

"Of course my master, I handled the foe you desired and I have his head." She said holding out an orc's head to her master, and tossing it into the pits around the room. "He was not a challenge to take down." Her master smiled at her as she walked up to him her hips swaying seductively, as she knelled before him. Awaiting his next command.

"Good Lin good, you are an excellent addition to my forces. I am sad your village was destroyed right after you came through. It could have brought me more like you. But so be it, it matters none to me we have more important matters to attend to. The next era I will be sending you to is to deal with a foolish mage, push him into immortality when you beat him down. The lich is needed for my timeline to come out correctly." He said as the walls behind him light up with strands of color, they seemed to flow left to right and be manipulable by him in some way. But it felt irrelevant as Linsay felt the pull fading and instead a push this time shoving her from the painting back into the room and her real body.

A shudder passed through her body, it seems the trail was not a test to guard the village but an offering to some creature manipulating the time line. Although that begs the question why did it let her leave? And if it can control time why did it send her back to the time just after her village was destroyed.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

(I see the rolls are always going well for me.. lol. I should have taken 9 willpower damage as well in the post previous, yes?)

Lindsay would look at one painting in particular, it was one that would show her fate as if she were to have succumbed to the master of the trials. A sensation would overwhelm her, one she was familiar with no less as it was the same feeling the Lich was attempting to assert upon her. Without Millia's help to prevent anything, Lindsay was sucked inside the painting. What she saw first was the fate that would have befallen her were she to have lost to the "Master" of the trial. Being reduced to nothing more than a breeder for her new Master, Lindsay was chained up and unable to do anything except enjoy her role as the latest breeder. The Master would speak to her in an attempt to break her spirit further by explaining the fate of her village. She was nothing more than a tribute paid to the Master.

The painting would now shift and the imagery was considerably different now. Lindsay would see herself now as a powerful warrior. This was obvious already to her that this was the path that she could have taken were she to have accepted the offer of the Master of the trials to work for him. Seeing herself in such revealing armor was almost pleasureable. This version of her was powerful, an icon both of power and beauty. She was an assassin of sorts it would seem, maybe a bounty hunter? Though she was still subservient to her "Master" even still in this as she would kneel down before the Master after delivering her latest prize. Again in this vision her village was destroyed. Though it would appear the Lich was also affected by the events surrounding this Master as well.

No matter the choices she were to have made, her village was meant to be destroyed. There was no preventing this it would seem. Once this scenario played out before her, the painting would reject Lindsay back into her own reality. Was this her fate, the fate of her village, and everything around her simply involving the Master of the trials. This seemed to enlighten Lindsay somewhat as it became clear to her that what she had initially thought was her goal was seemingly not. The Lich was apparently no more or less a pawn in this game as she was. Though in all truth, Lindsay was never completely wanting to destroy the Lich. In the same way that she could have destroyed Millia were she the heartless killer that she were destined to become were she to have aligned herself with the Master of the trials. Lindsay almost felt she was indebted to the Lich, as without the help of the Lich she would never have been able to create the golem for Millia.

With the visions of the painting covering the fate of what could have been with Lindsay, there was one thing in common. None of it was true. Lindsay would reject those realities as the painting could simply have been showing her what she wanted to see. A being that could manipulate time itself, why would it let her go if it were so powerful? Why would it not simply have dominated Lindsay and sent her down the path of becoming a strong warrior both feared and respected throughout the land. Then it hit her, Lindsay would realize that was all a fantasy as this was her reality. She did not lose the trial, though how did she get sent back to a point where her village was destroyed. That was the only part of this that made no sense. Was this a fantasy within a fantasy?

For now, Lindsay only knew that overcoming the trials of this temple was her goal. All these fantasies of what could have been were certainly interesting, but it would not help her to know what fate would have befallen her by experiencing her past again.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

The armor remained in the center of the room this time centered so it was watching her, as she exited the portal. Her first test outlasted, she had the resolve to continue, the next test was upon her. As she moved through the tunnel to the next room standing in the center was a woman, she looked powerful, and she wore familiar armor. it was little more then a bikini with a skirt, all in red. She drew her sword and address her adversary.

"Linsay, you were to become our leader, the beacon of what we were. Sharpers of time itself. But you choose differently, you are nothing dominated, but everything free. You are the destined warrior." She met Linsay's eyes. "My name is Alera, I was your second, and your lover in the true time line. Sadly here I am your executioner. Come at me and learn you are nothing without our masters powers." She readied her blade and stared at Linsay, obviously ready for combat.

Re: The Trial of the Champion

Lindsay would come out of the painting into what she figured was the reality she knew to be true. Instead of subjecting herself to the paintings one by one, she decided that not knowing the fates she may have had in the past or the fates she could have in the future meant nothing. Only she had control of her own destiny (and these trollolol dice do a bit as well). Watching the armor that was in the middle of the room, Lindsay half expected it to animate and attack her. Lindsay would circle around the armor and start to head down the hallway.

Lindsay would see something familiar in the next room. The armor was unmistakable as it was exactly like the painting. Lindsay's armor was black as she saw her fate in the painting, so she knew it was not herself that she would be confronting. Drawing her sword and moving into the room, the woman would address Lindsay. Identifying herself as Alera she seemed to be bitter about Lindsay not choosing the path that would have lead them together as lovers.

This did not seem right, as something was certainly out of place. Were she to have given into the desire of calling the Master of the trials her one master, then her first love would have been to the Master himself. Lindsay did not want to focus on Alera or what she was, as her initial thought was that Alera did not belong here. Maybe what she said is true, but in this reality it is not. If anyone were Lindsay's lover it would most certainly be Millia.

(Use combat to subdue Alera)

Lindsay would assume that since Alera was her second in command in this alternate timeline, that Alera was somewhat weaker than Lindsay. Maybe here and now that was not the case. Lindsay figured that no matter what Alera truly was, there was only one way this will be settled. Lindsay would defeat Alera and cast aside the doubts of choosing the path she felt was correct when she fought the Master of the trials.

This Alera could not be real was the only thing Lindsay needed to tell herself. So long as she treated her enemy with the respect any adversary deserves, Lindsay had confidence enough that even in the here and now that she was the better warrior than Alera could ever hope to be.

--Combat 7+14=21vs26 five HP damage, Alera is a mini boss and must be defeated to continue. Naughty assault 8+10=18vs20 2 lewd damage as Alera attempts to force Linsay to submit to her lust.--

Linsay would approach her foe and begin their dance, and things went well she could feel the difference in skill between the two of them. But as they fought Alera would exactly step into her defense penetrating it as her blade slipped under her top and sliced it open. Twisting as their blades collided again sending them across the room as Alera pushed Linsay down and began groping her breasts in earnest. Her hips landing atop Linsays she began grinding herself into her. Her pussy very obviously not covered by any cloth under her armored skirt, her own moan of pleasure leaking out as she played with Linsays body.

Her fingers dug into her lovely soft flesh as her fingers move and pinched her nipples. Kneading them together as she arched her own back quickly her armored clasp between her breasts popping open revealing her own C cup breasts. As she pushed Linsay down again pressing her breasts on top of Linsays grinding their breasts together their nipples rubbing against each other. Alera never once broke eye contact with Linsay as she continued grinding into her, trying her best to give her pleasure, although it was obviously she knew what Linsay would like, her positioning here was less then ideal for giving to her. Her own moans of pleasure was growing in frequency and volume.
