"Light, girls! Use light!" Alia called out as she moved closer, intending to both use her glowing scythe as a deterrent and to hit the disgusting freaks with it. "They've been in the dark for so long they can't stand it! Use torches or something!" She swung her weapon, but it's current state of being a source of illumination threw her aim off, making the mage flail ineffectually in the direction of the creatures.

Lyna was rather surprised to see that one was bleeding, as she assumed these foul beings were undead though this discovery didn’t ease her mind as these creatures might be infected with some horrid disease that made them this way. Hopefully she would never found out, but the current state of the fight she felt she no longer could stay on the backline.

Lyna companions looked rather winded, making her rather worried for her companions’ safety. Lyna mustered all her remaining courage and dropped her bow to the ground, after which she took out an axe and a torch, lighting the torch on fire. Lyna would then move towards the frontline, clutching her weapons in her hands while shouting at her companions. “Stand back if ya hurt, I will try to distract them to the best of my ability!”

Malivre felt a little better. Evidently torchlight was insufficient to keep the creatures at bay though. She was burning out her vitality with her lord's power quite rapidly. Still, seemed she had little choice. "My lord, let your majesty shine through me!"

(Casting Light as well then. Focusing on the one Alia isn't.)

Alia let out a pained shout as she was hit, getting really angry. She continued her assault none the less, not willing to give up now that she had at least one of the pales on the ropes. Swinging again, she once more flailed ineffectually without hitting anything, at first. Because this time, she didn't let up easily - pushing everything she had into her assault, she pressed forward to cut up the monster before her and end it so that they could finish the fight and continue, maybe even regroup if need be.

Lyna lights a torch and waves it at them. Enemy is suffering -2 morale now.

Malivyre casts light as well, their combined light completely illuminating the room and causing the Pales to outright flee, moaning and screaming, heading towards a shaft that they'd side down on that looked like it might be difficult to climb back up from. The girls could give chase, or let them go. (xp given either way.)

Before they even get the chance to run, Alia cuts one down swiftly, splitting his head off clean from his shoulders.

Wiping the blood off of her scythe, Alia watched the remaining freak flee with a sneer. "And that takes care of that." She stated, looking at the other girls. "I think we don't have to fear that one for the time being. Perhaps we should move on and recover the treasure before finishing our mission? I can't think of a reason to pursue the creature at the moment." She stated, before frowning and continuing. "Unless something of value was dragged or dropped down there, but I'm not about to jump in just to find out."

Lyna sighed with relief when she saw the foul monster disappear from her eye sight, as she extinguished her torch and recovered her bow from the floor. “Yes, let us continue on and hope we won’t see such freakish thing again.” She sighs, though she was somewhat curious to what would be down the shaft, perhaps Gimgir would know more about it? “Perhaps ya little buddy would know more about what might be down there?” She says to Alia, as the goblin seemed to be rather attached to her.

Celeste stutters, feeling down she couldn't use her two-step move against the monster. She let her shoulders down, sighed heavely and shook her head. After regaining her composure, Celeste turn to her group and nods when they decide to go to the treasure vault.

The little goblin ran through the room, and rummaged through what seemed to be garbage, before coming to Alia with shiny things in his hands. "T-treasure! For da mistress!" he said excitedly.

"Good job, Gimgir." Alia praised the goblin, nodding her head. Seems like keeping her around was worth it after all. The gold wasn't much, sadly, but she'd take what she could and split it later. The breastplate, however, was a damn good find. "Oi, Celeste. Get over here for a second." She waved the warrior closer. "Take a look at this thing. Methinks you could probably get some use out of it, no?" She rapped her fingers against the piece of armor.

Malivre nods, looking to the breastplate that was retrieved after the heavy blow she had just taken. "Wait, I thought the gems were supposed to be here? Sigh. Alia, you may need to explain what gems are to him. Also, give the breastplate to Celeste. Much as I'd like it, she needs it more."

She sighed and leaned against a wall to catch her breath, grimacing. "Talk about strength on those things. Ow."

Lyna would simply agree to give Celeste the breastplate, even though she would like it, it was much more necessary for the warrior to have it. "Perhaps I should stay in the front?” She asks the group, as she was still feeling healthy, and was quite adapt at fighting from both range and close. Hopefully they wouldn't come across anymore of the creatures they just fought, as she readied herself to move on either in the back or the front depending on what the group would prefer, either arming herself with her axes or bow.

With teary eyes, Celeste accepts the breastplate. Donning that armor now would take time, and she also didn't knew if it was the same size as her... So many problems.

"Oi oi, we're trying to help." Alia sighed, shaking her head. "As it stands, all of us are either capable of fighting from a distance or improving our ability to deflect blows with magic. Which, ironically, leaves you as the least defended member of our group when we do so." The mage explained. "This thing here ought to alleviate your problems, assuming it'll fit you. Like it or not, you're going to get hit rather often in this line of work and anything that can help you not die might be worth it's weight in gold."

(Whenever you acquire shit, alter your character sheet to reflect the new status of your inventory. I don't know about anyone else, but Atmo hasn't put that breastplate into their inventory.)

Celeste finishes donning the armor after what seems to be a whole day. She can't breath very well but she can't complain after receiving a gift. She smiles and nods, preparing herself to the next part of their mission.

That girl had some serious mood swings. Well. Whatever. The goblin seemed to know where to go then. "Up ahead huh? Well... Once more unto the breach I suppose. Hopefully the light holds out, if my god wills it..."

Malivre moved ahead at the direction the goblin was directing, keeping her eyes open and both her light sources brandished.
