This is a CYOAS/Quest is, essentially, a reboot of a past attempt of mine, set in a Marioverse of some description. And much like that old attempt, it is less done by the regular pattern of CYOAS, and more by a "Quest"-style straight outta /tg/ and tgchan.
The intro below might sound all important but it likely isn't, it depends on how far this thing runs as far as relevance is concerned.
Oh yeah, and disclaimer: Don't expect this to last, as I am terrible at making things reach a natural and satisfying conclusion. On the plus side, participants will get to be a cloud of chaotic voices/would-be-consciences of varying moral values.
Do note that the characters have some measure of agency of their own, and while things might steer in the overall directions of the suggestions most of the time, the characters may at times decide not to do such. And individual participants may end up ignored by the character depending on how said participant is behaving/acting. Such is life.

This time the Elder Stars had been unusually unclear as to what the matters were that got them all fretting about. While unhelpful it wasn't entirely unexpected by the younger Stars. Either way a bunch of them had to go down there, find a suitable 'Chosen One', and try to get their newfound companion to do whatever the Elders needed to get done, one way or another. At least it wasn't an altogether unpleasant place they were all going to be sent to; Sunshine Island, a tropical paradise and extremely popular vacation resort known around the globe!
Sure, there had been some murmurs about some political struggles and powerplays going on in regards to the royal family down there, but nothing tangible had reached the Stars yet in regards to the situation down there. Perhaps that was what was getting the Elders in such a fit? Or maybe they just had to figure out what was going on down there and report back, to remind the geezers of what they were supposed to worry over so much?
When the amassed young Stars were sent down to begin their task, the planet below would recieve a wonderful star shower to observe, the people down there no doubt unaware of the Stars descending amidst them all. They were, after all, invisible to all who lived on the planet. Not even the 'Chosen One' to be would be seeing much of them outside of certain circumstances... But whoever were to be their host and hero would certainly be able to hear the Stars, or else providing them with guidance would be difficult!
Of course, each of the Stars were an individual in their own right, and might be there either to carry out their given duty or simply to have a jolly good time. Or try and cause some chaos, be it to the hero itself or the surroundings of said hero.
As the Stars began to descend upon Starshine Island, the tropical paradise getting clearer to see for them all, the collective cluster of Stars began to pick up a few eligible persons to provide guidance for. This was the bothersome part, as the Stars were nothing if not bound to a wide arrangement of rules. In this case they would all have to decide on which person to guide, and until such a time as there was reason to leave the side of that person they would be stuck there, and whichever would-be-hero was picked by the most of the Stars would be the 'fortunate' one to recieve celestial guidance!
Well, picked by most of the active Stars, as there were always a few sleepyheads. Stars were quite prone to that, being so used to being stuck above a planet and only observing it. Either way they all had a few individuals down by Sunshine Island to decide on, in a very democratic fashion, to guide.
A) Beatrice Koopa, a headstrong woman with a fancy for thrills and profiteering. She truly believes that Might makes Right, and this powerful specimen of the Koopa people might as well been born just to prove that point. Not averse to tread on the toes, or backs, of others and having no qualms over getting herself dirty this Koopa have set her eyes on Sunshine Island with the intent of carving out a small empire all her own. And along the way she might find herself a few new toys to break in; didn't matter to her if it were boys or girls she played around with, she was going to have fun either way!
B) Princess Rose, a viridan-skinned woman of noble lineage from a faraway jungle kingdom. While not one to normally mingle with commoners it is an unfortunate circumstance she has to endure after having escaped the incessant, and often quite dangerous, politics back home. Being the third child of the royal family she never had much of an inheritance to look forwards to either. A fact that have left her bitter from early childhood. At least now she has the opportunity to make her own fortune, together with her loyal Piranha Plant guardians that never appear to leave her side... But being rooted to their mistress does that.
C) Robin, much like every Shyguy or Shygal out there is an enigma to others. What sets him apart from her kindred however, is that it is an enigma even to her own people. Even other Shysters are weirded out by his pressence, and most would rather be anywhere else than in the same room as they. The only thing truly known about 'Robin' is that he shares the name of a powerful Magiguy of Shyster legends. Whatever her reasons for ending up on Sunshine Island is, it is a mystery for all. Maybe even to itself.
D) Kiwi, a happy and carefree young lady that has come to Sunshine Island to have a good time! Adventure, parties, sex, swimming, exotic food! She wants it all! Though her somewhat irregular accent might pose a small issue for her in pursuing such endeavors. Not that she is concerned over such trivialities, she'll just greet every day with a merry exclamation of "Time for anutha mint fucking day today!"
E) Bianca, a stowaway on the Starcruiser that was in need of some fresh scenery after a heist had gone bad. For having such a bubbly pink fur the Mouser had a very dark heart; she couldn't even recall the last time she so much as contemplated why she wouldn't steal, extort, abuse, decieve or stab someone to get what she had set her violet eyes upon. That last job had left a particularly sour taste in her mouth though, and she felt she'd be stuck licking those wounds a good long while. Ah well, new places to see, new faces to greet, and new cash to rake in while before she figured out what she wanted to do with her life here on Sunshine Island!
And, being the celestial powers that they were, the Stars also had to vote on certain aspects of reality to align with certain preferences, somehow!
