Alright, I know fledgling CYOAs end up a dime a dozen, but screw it, here's something worth less than a penny.
Oh, and if you're a writer and need someone to clean up your grammar, I can help with that. I'm a great speller, I know which version of your/'re you're looking to use.
Last warning, this will be a bit of an info dump at first. I want you to be well informed of your choices, at least at first.
Wars, these things happen sometimes. Mostly they blame us. Who can blame them? Humans don't take kindly to being preyed upon... well, the women eventually don't mind so much. Sometimes we go for centuries without them pestering us, but capture one princess and everything just goes to hell.
We are tentacle "beasts", hardly worthy of that title, we're usually smarter than they are. We take their women to absorb their energy and to reproduce. We need them and we will not stop to get what we need.
It's the end of a particularly devastating war, your hive was one of the survivors. The humans discovered new ways to synthesize potions from the byproducts of your race. Now you're too valuable to just exterminate and no one has power to influence a government like a business trying to make a profit. You're young, just ending your adolescence where you aren't expected to do much but act as a sentry in the nearby woods, looking for human raids, and come back to the stock of women so you can feed and grow.
This is your final metamorphosis, a choice that will effect your role within the hive for the rest of your life. Consider yourself lucky, not every tentacle gets a choice, hive first after all.
Choose:
A. Soldier: These are designated fighting tentacles. They are big, strong, not particularly subtle or clever at illusions and deception, but great for direct attacks. Physically, they start out imposing, easily 10 feet long and as thick as a large snake, though tapering out as they get towards the end. Eventually, they grow a central mass, about the size of a large cow, with several thick tentacles sprouting from the mass. Another drawback is the rate at which they consume energy. While away from the hive, this type suffers a higher rate of energy bleed due to their larger size. When feeding, they are rough, as always. Through sheer size, they wrap their prey and through sheer size is the only way their pray will feel pleasure, but they will eventually. They will continue until she is too tired to resist. With slaves who are already broken in, they show the barest consideration, using their slime to at least get them wet enough to easily penetrate.
B. Hunter: A fast, stealthy tentacle. Easily the fastest mover of the tentacles. Typically, they make up the bulk of the tentacles sent out to capture escapees. As such, they are good trackers and have superior senses on top of their great darting speed. A common tactic in the forest is to travel swinging from tree limbs from their tentacles and attack out of the air on top of their prey. During the wars with the humans, they developed a clever adaptation, a solid retractable, bone-like spear point extending from about 1/4th away from the head. When humans began raiding and attacking, the tentacles didn't have an answer for their new armors, like plate and chain, and they just had to beat them into submission. Now, these tentacles can strike fast and deliver painful stabs through the armor, either to wound or kill, depending on the current situation. Coupling with this role, they also have a great knowledge of human anatomy, for fighting and for feeding. When feeding, they give the greatest pleasure, hitting all the right spots, rapidly, over and over again until she just gives in. They start out roughly 6 feet in length and the thickness of a similarly sized snake. They grow into a roughly wolf sized mass with 3 long tentacles sprouting from it, allowing them to take a different tactic, ambushing from above with a tentacle disguised like a vine. Their smaller size means they can be away from the hive or a food source for longer than the fighters. They are also fairly clever, setting ambushes and disguising themselves as tree roots and vines. Work best in packs.
C. Feeder: Feeders have a duty in the hive. They keep the women alive with a nutritious diet of semen. They also serve a role of breaking the captives, as tentacle semen is highly addictive and a potent aphrodisiac, theirs even more so. Furthermore, they can control the chemical composition of their slime and semen to do more than just make their target horny; they can cause drowsiness and confusion as well, according to what they want. This is particularly useful when they leave the hive. They aren't particularly fast or particularly strong, don't expect to easily overpower groups or large men and don't expect to outrun a man on horseback. Armored targets give them problems in direct combat since they don't have the armor penetration of the Hunters or the sheer power of the Soldiers, but they are best at incapacitating their targets without taking or giving a blow. They attack via their semen, spewed out at high pressure, capable of shooting over 25 feet. Their slime also can be spewed and the viscosity changed so it's sticky. These tentacles start out fairly chunky at about 8 feet long, but as thin as the hunters. Eventually they grow to a smaller central mass, about 3 feet across with many shorter tentacles. Finally, they are capable of staying away from the hive for extended periods of time due to an extremely efficient metabolism. After all, they can are supposed to feed the women and that takes energy too. When feeding, they have multiple approaches. Some like to tease women until they beg to be fucked, supplying them with a steady stream of semen and rubbing until the reach the edge of orgasm, then pulling them back. Others like to keep women in a constant stupor of pleasure, supplied aphrodisiac and steady fucking until she can't live without something in her pussy and he mouth.
Final word, no playable tentacle can start out egging women(I will have designated breeders who don't leave the hive). You need to grow til you have a central mass where they will be produced.
