Alisas Status: HP = 41, P = 38, EP = 29/33, Pregnant
Gab approached Alissa after dispatching the last of the demons, coming up to stand besides the girl. Alissa asks, to Geralt and Shadowcat; "Who are you? And what are you doing here?"
Geralt is about to respond, when Shadowcat says; "Well what now stuff is dead...They are looking at us...Now what? Unless we plan on attacking them we might as well get back to checking the houses we were going to check next."
*blinks and casts her eyes to the other two having just heard their question she chews on her lip a bit looking the two over and contemplating whether she need bother with them yet.* "hmmm...what to do what to do.."
The quiet muttering between the mysterious twosome unnerves Alisa.
"I'm warning you, if you're demons, you won't find us any easier prey than those two did!"
She puts a bit more tension on her bow. It's still not aimed directly at them... but she'd get her shot off before they could possibly close the distance.

"Relax. We're not demons, just coming down to see if you needed any assistance." Geralt says, surprising Shadowcat with his diplomacy.
"We needed no aid hunter." Gab replies, a slight degree of hostility in his voice.
Perception: Failure.
Alisa turns around just in time to see an armored figure charging at her from behind, a greatmace held in both hands. He is a mere five feat from her when she notices him.

To Shadowcats statement, Geralt shouts; "It's a knight, this isn't the time to screw around!" And rushes to try and head the black-armored demon off before it can swing at the vulnerable girl. Alisa spins and gets her spell off just as Gab is turning to meet the new threat.
Casting: 10 + 10 + 8 + 3 = 31 vs 10 = Success.
Mind + 4 vs Body: 10 + 20 + 4 = 34 vs 8 + 40 = 48 == Enemy wins.
Alisas spell doesn't even slow the charging demon down, his powerful form easily ripping through the roots that come up to grab at his ankles. Geralt is already next to her, his swords in hand, and he and Gab try to divert the demons attention, but he doesn't take the bait, stopping suddenly and sliding to meet Alisas attempted dodge, his mace swinging at her so fast that the movement barely registers.
The mace slams into Alisas midsection, almost lifting her off her feet with the powerful blow. Alisas leather armor absorbs some of the force, and her ribs don't shatter, but she collapses to the ground, the wind knocked out of her. Gab roars in anger, diving past the white-haired hunter in an attempt to avenge his wounded lover.
To-hit: 2 + 32 = 34 vs 58 = miss.
But the demon barely has to step back at the gruffs awkward attack. Geralt uses the Feys attack to launch an attack of his own, however, using Gabs distraction to stab with both of his weapons.
Both of Geralts blades land squarely, stabbing into the demons chest, but the warriors armor seems to prevent much of the damage. Shadowcat can quickly see that she will have to become involved if they are to win the fight.
Wheezing and wincing, clutching her battered torso with one arm, Alisa tries to stagger back from the melee, somehow knowing that a second hit would flatten her permanently.
(Move away from the knight.)
(... Alisa can't hurt the knight with weapons. Alisa, pretty much, can't cast anything that might hurt the knight. Alisa probably wouldn't enjoy having sex with the knight... but that's her only real offensive capability right now... )
*lips turn up into a feral grin at the sight of the combat unfolding and now is more then happy to get involved. Dart to the side she goes to make her away fround the knight to flank it before she would attack seeking its back to distract it more or if it so felt she was no threat to teach it a mistake*
Shadowcats attack from behind catches the demon off guard, perhaps having thought that she was a mage like the other woman. She doesn't try her claws against its armor, rather striking out with her hands toward the joints in its armor. The armored demon stumbles, giving Gab and Geralt a shot at it.
Both warriors strike at the demon, but Gabs attack skims off its armor and only one of Geralts swords penetrates. The wound is likewise shallow, but perhaps a series of lesser wounds are what's necessary to fell the beast. Alisa moves away, wheezing in pain, and the demon seems to have lost interest, feeling that she was sufficiently injured that she would be unable to cast any spells of any consequence. He turns to Gab and swings his mace from the side in two hands.
The demons blow sends the gruff reeling and spinning away, landing several feet from where he'd been standing. Alisa can only watch in horror as the demon moves to finish off the wounded gruff.
*Shadowcat knows she will regret this in the long run and sprints to overtake the knight and pass him in reaching the gruff skiding down low in the dirt and pivoting on a heel to send both hands clasped together towards the side of its knee hoping to disrupt its movement at least to direct it away from the gruff*
Managing to stagger free, Alisa's steps become steadier as the pain of the blow subsides... and then is forgotten in the adrenaline surge as Gab gets clubbed down. Half-panicked at the thought of her lover being killed, she reaches out for the strongest magic she can recall. "يستجمع عاصفة" rings out over the battlefield, as she raises her arms to the heavens...
(Cast Control Weather, summon a thunderstorm and hit the knight with a lightning bolt - and everybody present with rain. I hope this doesn't take multiple turns to kick in...)

The demon knight just ignores Shadowcats blow this time, and swinging his mace so that the agile assassin is forced away. He steps toward the wounded gruff to be met by Geralt, both his swords aimed low at the demons belly.
One sword drives itself into the demon once more while the other skips off his armor. The demon doesn't seem phased by the attack, and he once more forces Geralt aside. He raises his mace high, ready to strike as Gab reorients and looks up at the demon, as rain begins to fall.
Casting: 6 + 10 + 8 + 3 = 27 vs 25 = Success.
And just as the demon is about to crush the Feys skull, a lightning bolt arcs down from the sky, called by Alisa, hitting the demons mace and arcing down into its body. The bolt utterly destroys the demon, its armor and weapon melting even as its body disintegrates.
Alisa grits her teeth, trembling as she forces the storm she'd brewed up to calm, managing to reduce it to a simple rainshower before letting the magic go with a gasp.
Ignoring the cooling pile of metal junk, she staggers over to Gab, dropping to her knees beside him. Her wet hair dangles down in dripping strands as she leans over, cradles his head with her hands, and plants a kiss on his lips.

(It's a lightning bolt, and he was at half health. The only thing I'd roll damage for that would be a fresh boss.)
Gab, while he did get hit pretty bad, doesn't seem to have been more than stunned from the blow. "I'll be alright, milady, though were it not for you I'd likely be dead. I owe you my life, twice over." The gruff replies. His chest already has a bruise on it where the demons mace struck him, but other than that he doesn't seem too badly injured.
Geralt blanches at the sight of Alisa and Gab, and walks over to stand beside Shadowcat, shaking his head. "That would have been a helluva lot harder if she hadn't fried the bastard. Too bad there's nothing left of his armor though, that would probably have been worth quite a bit."
*Shadowcat gave a shrug of her shoulders rolling her eyes at the other two as she cast her gaze about making sure nothing else was approaching while they stood there* "I have a feeling alot of stuff we wish to..salavge is gonna end up like mr. knight here..not to mention i have a sneaking suspicion they are just a tad on the loud side when it comes to traveling.."
*She was being a little sarcastic but she kept her tone in check and for now simply kept alert*
(Okay, I guess it's just a tad unreasonable to keep assuming Shadowcat and Geralt aren't friendly...)
Alisa hugs Gab tighter, glad that he hasn't suffered any permanent injury. "Hush... I think we're even. You've been doing most of the fighting... don't you think you've been keeping me alive by doing that?"
She looks up at the twosome, seeing them more clearly now that they're out of the shadows. "Um... thank you for helping us. I don't think we started off on the right foot... I'm Alisa, and this is Gab."

Gab chuckles, and replies; "I think I'll be needing some more relaxation soon." He tries to get up off the ground, giving a slight groan as he gets to his feet. He doesn't move his left arm much, and the muscles seem to be tender beneath the massive welt.
To her question, Geralt replies, "I'm Geralt. The Hunter. Nice shot with the lightning."
Alisa grins as she helps Gab stand. "Oooh, don't tempt me in the middle of the street!" She gives him a playful swat.
To Geralt, she says, "I-it was lucky... I'd never tried using that spell to call lightning before... just rainshowers..."
She takes a minute to examine the corpses of the claw demons. "We were going to search that house over there... if it looks solid, and doesn't have any more demons inside, we might fort up there for the night."
