Duke folded his arms, the charming smile on his face all but gone, and replaced with that of something Isa might remember; a man who's seen lots of danger in the past, with a no-nonsense look to boot. He was about to answer as well, before the unknown woman appeared. And when Isa whispered those words to him, a hand went to his forehead, "I protect those who cannot protect themselves," he said bluntly. "And there are people who need me more than a perverted woman who has an appetite for the same gender."
Then, Duke looks about, noticing that he was suddenly at a table collected with nothing but women... And a half-woman, to say the least. In Duke's mind, calling her a woman at all at this point is an overstatement. "Pilot, Mechanic, Doctor, and a woman with a gun." he said aloud, "All women as well, suitable for a crude debauchee such as yourself." Duke told her, rising from his seat, feeling that he had wasted his time to a large extent. "I don't trust this woman, at all. I'd sooner place my life in the hands of Styx herself." he concluded in his thoughts.
"I hope you enjoyed your drink, it's the last thing you'll be getting from me." Duke said coldly, walking away from the table, to the tender to pay for the drinks with his credits. "I've never been so insulted in lord knows how long to this degree. To hell with it, rather than go in that woman's ship, and be at the mercy of her disregard, I'll face Styx myself if I cannot catch another way off this planet."
The highly suicidal plans concocting in Duke's head were suddenly brought to a halt at the familiar sound of boots walking up behind him, not long after he payed for the drinks (.4 credits). There were three men, two of whom were the same ones from before, with a much larger, and powerful looking friend with them. "Speak of the devil..." Duke said aloud, before turning to face the three men. "Look, gentlemen, I've had a bad day so far, would you kindly-"
Duke was interrupted by the larger man placing his hand around Duke's neck, and slamming the man down onto the counter, strangling him. "We saw that little argument you had, your little whores ain't comin' to save you this time, Duke." he said, before letting up on the man pinned to the counter. Duke coughed furiously as he was allowed to breath, before standing up on his feet firmly.
Duke shook his head, letting out a tensed sigh, "This has got to be the worst day I've ever had in a long time..." he said, rubbing his throat. It appeared obvious that the four men, including Duke, were going to leave, and settle their business outside...
