"Alright." the mistress replied once Nina offered to help her freshen up from the slump she had been in for who knows how long. She got up from the bed, picking up the limp body of Iris with her. "This room is getting dreary. Let's get her to her own room, and have the replacement maid clean this room. You should meet her anyways."

Once they got to the hall, Iliana laid eyes upon Tiger for a first time, as the canine had been waiting for Nina outside the room. He took immidiate interest towards the two new females in front of him, scanning them both and taking careful sniffs from the mistress' leg. It seemed like the dog was not sure what to make of these strange women his mistress hung around with. "Is this the dog you mentioned earlier? It looks like a strong specimen." the mistress asked from her servant as they headed towards Iris' room. Once they were there, she told Nina to move the blind girl's blanket, laying Iris down on her own bed before covering her up. "So... should we take that bath now?"

"Yes, my lady," Nina said when Iliana went to pick up Iris. Nina supported the other end of the frail girl's body and moved it out into the hallway. That was when they bumped into Tiger.

"Oh, hello boy. Yes, this is Tiger. He's an extremely good dog. And he's loyal enough to fight a mob and a rampaging bear. Such a good boy! Hear, these are your mummy's family! This is Lady Iliana, and this here is Iris. You're going to be guarding Iris just like you guard me. I'll train you to do so. Now c'mon, walk beside us. There's a good boy!"

The two of them got Iris back to her room, which seemed to have been unused for quite a while. Nina opened the windows a bit to let in some light and make the room seem cheerier.

"Yes, Mistress. Let's get you cleaned up. Your house needs you looking your best," Nina said firmly. She wasn't above keeping Iliana in line, even from a subservient position. If the lady needed reminders once in a while, Nina would give them to her. Tough times could call for tough love, but of course not too tough. Nina couldn't really imagine straight out ordering Iliana. She'd make it seem like it was Iliana's idea to begin with. Helpful hinting, that was the key.

The mistress and maid headed down the hall, looking for this replacement maid to inform her that Iris would need tending in her own room for now. Tiger was invited to stay along with Nina for the moment, but when she had time enough, she'd definitely train Tiger to be loyal as Iris' guard dog as well.

When they reached the bath, Nina would climb into the bath with Iliana, but would be entirely in charge of cleaning the lady. She wouldn't take no for an answer. She had Iliana relax as scrubbers and soaps and scents were applied with attention and care.

With the striped dog in tow, the two women temporarily leave Iris behind to look for this new maid taking care of things in Lynette's stead. The older head maid was still out in the world looking for Nina after all.

Not too long afterwards, they found the person in question. The new maid was even smaller and slimmer than Iris was, sporting golden twintails of slightly different lenght, violet eyes and an almost albino skintone. She wore a pair of large glasses in addition to the conservative maid dress, which gave some further boost to her cutesy looks. As Iliana adressed her during the dusting she was doing, the small maid dropped to her bum from the sudden surprise. "Ahhh, Lady Iliana... please don't startle me like that..." an almost squeaky voice replied to them as she gathered herself from the floor. Despite the girl's bumbling, it seemed the mistress had taken a liking to this newcomer. "This little thing is Lily, she's our replacement maid until Lynette returns. But, if she proves to be good at the job I'll probably keep her to help you two with the house." she introduced the younger maid as the girl pushed her glasses back to her nose properly once more, before giving a deep bow to Nina in greetings.

"Hello, Lily. I'm Nina. It's nice to meet you." Nina said, bowing back to the other maid with an equally deep bow. "Thank you so much for all the work you've done to keep this place in order. It must have been very difficult for you with few to guide you. It will be easier now that I'm back to help out. I'm sure we'll be the best of friends."

Nina walked forward and gave Lily a friendly hug. "I'll come back and find you soon, but I have duties to take care of first." She snapped her fingers to Tiger and motioned the faithful pup over. "Here, let him smell you so he knows you're a friend. The little guy is meeting a lot of new family today. Treat him right and he'll be very friendly. Would you mind getting him something to eat, Lily?"

She gave the order with a look to Iliana, her facial expression asking her mistress if it was okay that she gave the order to this young maid. It was really for both Tiger and Lily's benefit. Besides, she needed to be alone with Iliana for the baths.

"Ahh, of course. I'm not terribly good at this job, but we'll be sure to get along with each other." the smaller girl replied, looking like she was a bit awkward in social situations. Lily did have an aura of a shy and timid person about her.

Tiger took a careful approach towards this yet another new person, sensing her timidness and taking it into consideration. But it looked like the dog and girl got along, as Lily was soon petting the dog with a friendly smirk. "Alright, I'll find this good boy something from the kitchen. And go have a look at Miss Iris' room, that spot needed some attention." she gave a reply to Nina, which Iliana okayed with a casual nod.

After the spectacled girl and striped dog had gone, the mistress and servant headed towards the bathing facility.

Nina took Iliana by her hand and walked with her silently to the baths. She had yet to really embrace her mistress just yet, fearful of taking away attention from Iris, who deserved both of their utmost care and concern anyways. But Nina had been missing Iliana dearly, and she needed to feel her mistress' touch.

And so she entwined her fingers with Iliana's and made her way into the baths. Once there she began to undress Iliana. She did it gently and not aggressively. When she had undressed the lady, she nudged her into the water and let her dip down and rest. Then Nina, who was also road worn, took off her own clothes and then ran to grab nearby soaps and scrubs and scented oils. She put them by the edge of the bath next to Iliana and then climbed into the bath herself.

Immediately she lathered up a scrubbing cloth with flowery scented soaps and began to rub and exfoliate her lady's lovely tan skin. She would take quick moments to scrub herself in between lathering the red head until they were both soapy. Then she'd cup water with a small wooden bucket and pour it over Iliana's head and let it trickle down.

Only once Iliana and Nina were clean did the green-haired girl feel it okay to look her lady in the eye and then lean her body in close to her, just to enjoy once again her mistress' warmth.

Iliana went along with the washing, fully knowing the drill as Nina took uttermost care to get her mistress beautiful and clean once more. The Lady's hair in particular took some time to get in satisfying condition, but the green-haired girl was determined to get it done, handling the whole deal with aplomb. It did look like the tan beauty had washed away the muck and grime of many months as the two females had finished the cleaning part of the bath, now just sitting close as they moved to the relaxation part. Iliana returned Nina's loving gaze, taking the servant on her lap as they both quieted down for a while.

"It's been a truly chaotic time here, these past months. With both you and Iris gone from my side, I was distraught. Eventually, I gave Lynette perhaps a bit too harsh of a comment about her complaints, and she decided to solve this by heading out to look for you. Isaku joined her as well, those two don't separate from each other any more than we do." Iliana spoke up after some time spent in silence, "I knew full well that you'd find your way back if you were still alive, so I made no effort myself to get in contact. Iris however... She's been that way ever since. Elise sent for help, and you seem to have gotten along for the same ride as this Faye. Though the good sister has been warning me to prepare for the worst, a coma of this lenght can leave you in pretty bad condition afterwards..." she finished. The control of emotions was audible in her voice, a suppressed sorrow being the feeling in particular.

Nina listened to Iliana's sad recounting of the past months here at the estate.

"I hope that Lynette and Isaku will return soon enough. I made some friends with some rangers in the service of the Lord Grimhorn. If Lynette and Isaku listen for rumors of my passing in the forest, they might get wind of my passing."

She took a scented oil from the pool's edge and trickled dabs of it onto Iliana's shoulders and chest, then began to rub them into the beautiful tanned skin.

"I'm glad you had faith in me, my lady. It was just as well that you didn't send out searchers or go yourself. I only regained consciousness a few days ago in the middle of Grimhorn's forest. For me it felt instantaneous. I was angry, and scared for what might have happened here. I feared that you and Iris... that you both might be dead and that I was powerless to stop it. The spirit said that it saw what I feared most was separation... it was right. I nearly broke down. Only the thought of getting back to you and Iris kept me going. And then little by little, I met friendly people who helped me calm myself. Ranger Keene and his fellow rangers... Faye... and of course Tiger. They all helped me get a little bit of myself back. And now that I'm here with you, I feel confident that it's only the beginning. We'll find a way to wake Iris up. She's a fighter through and through, she'll beat this and recover. She'll find her way back to us as well."

Nina spoke from her heart as she ran her hands along Iliana's smooth skin. Shifting position from Iliana's lap, Nina nudged her mistress to turn to one side so that she could massage the lady's back and apply oils to it. She was both happy and sad. Happy to once again be making Iliana feel good, but sad that Iris was not awake to receive Nina's attention as well.

"That is a truly curious happening..." Iliana thought about Nina's adventures after the separation. The two of them spent some more time in the bath, with Nina giving generous amounts of attention towards her Mistress. The girl wanted Iliana to look her best once more, and all the oiling and massaging would help that cause tremendously.

As the bathing began to near it's end, they could hear the door between the dressing area and the bath open. With a somewhat awkward look, Lily stepped in, her glasses getting foggy fast inside the bath area. "My Lady, Sister Elise is here again. She brought another woman with her, a doctor from another land. They will be waiting for you in the guest area." the tiny maid told them before leaving again.

"That must be Faye," Nina said after Lily left. "I'm glad that she's come so swiftly."

Nina looked meaningfully at Iliana, and then daringly she tilted her head to one side and let her eyes go half-lidded, parting her lips.

"May I kiss you, my lady?" she whispered, wanting to feel the warmth of her embrace just briefly before they had to go and meet with the doctor and plunge back into the frightening situation with Iris.

The mistress' answer wasn't needed in verbal form, she did it well enough with action. The two females locked into an embrace of love for some time, sharing a kiss that was warm and endearing, not an all-out, horny teen-age tongue-fest. Being mostly immersed in warm water made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Once they had gone at it for some time, Iliana let Nina go, rising up to her full lenght in the bath. "That was long needed... I've hardly had any responsive contact after that day.." the mistress shared her feeling, heading out towards the dressing area. She would now look like her usual dreamy self, having received a thorough cleaning.

Nina moved alongside Iliana, smiling demurely. It wasn't quite complete without Iris there, but it was nice to be able to lean upon her mistress' care for strength once again. She hoped Iliana found her own resolve by having her devoted servant with back with her.

"My maid uniform is a mess from my days of travel. I shall have to wear something different, unless a spare uniform was made for me before Lynette left." Nina talked as the two of them, with towels wrapped around their bodies, headed back to Iliana's closet room to select the Lady's outfit, most likely a tangent design based off of her usual business clothes. Nina would wait to see if Iliana had anything to say about her maid uniform before suggesting something for herself. If left to her own choice, she'd wear the small black dress that Iliana originally had laid out for her when she first arrived at the estate. But if Iliana had an idea of what she'd like Nina to wear now, Nina would happily do as her mistress wished. It would be fun to once again take orders.

Seeing Nina's form going alongside her after a long pause, Iliana looked happy. She gave the girl a few pats on the head, showing that she was feeling better with the company.

Along the way, Nina made it known that her uniform was too messy to wear until it got at least washed. "There is a spare uniform. It got bloodied when you and Haku fought the ogres that one day, but Lynette washed it since then. It should be in the staff dressing room." the mistress replied to her, selecting a rather plain white robe for herself to wear. The bath had taken some time, and it was the early evening already. Maybe she just wanted something loose on her, as the business suits were rather form-fitting.

After Nina had helped Iliana dress, the two of them headed for the staff closet. "Should be in there. I'll go and see the healers already, come when you have dressed, uniform or not." the mistress said before leaving the servant to get dressed.

After getting the Lady dressed in her white robe, a relaxed fit for the evening, since Nina hadn't realized how late it had gotten while they were at the bath, Nina hurried down to the staff closet and found her spare uniform. Seeing a pristine version of her maid outfit brought a smile to her face. Iliana had patted her head frequently, happy, and perhaps a little giddy to have her by her side again. Now it was Nina's turn to feel giddy as she discarded her towel and then slipped on the lacy undergarments, affixed the garter and high stockings, drew up the short skirt and then put on the sleeveless, tight fitting blouse. The frilly cuffs went on next, and then the apron. Finally she set the headpiece onto her head and adjusted it the mirror until she looked like the perfect little maid.

Satisfied, she slipped on the shiny buckled shoes that accompanied the uniform and made her way down to where Iliana and the guests were. She wanted to be there when Faye and Elise analyzed Iris together. It would be nice to see Elise again of course, and to welcome Faye to the estate. Though when she arrived, she would act as a silent and dutiful servant would, unless called upon by Iliana.

After getting dressed as properly and neatly as she could, Nina made her way to the guest room. The two healers were already discussing things as she entered. "...such a long time? I'm not sure how well she'll be able to recover, as such a lenghty coma usually results in a vegetative state afterwards. I'll of course do what I can to help, but be ready for the worst." she could hear Faye's words, as the red-dressed doctor had likely been given the information about her patient. The two women discussed the issue further, while Elise noticed Nina's presence and gave her a wave and a smile, not wanting to be a nuisance as the green-haired girl was giving her a very dutiful aura.

The trio eventually stopped speaking, getting up and picking up their equipment. Looks like the two healers were ready to do an examination.

Nina followed along behind the healers and Iliana, and would stand in the room to observe and to fetch anything that might be needed or wanted by the three women. She inclined her head slightly at Elise' smile and wave, but was thankful that the priestess recognized the serious aura she was taking on. It was difficult to freely be happy when the subject of Iris' well-being was hanging over everything.

If nothing was desired of her throughout the examination, Nina would quietly inquire of the three if there was anything she could get them, even basic refreshments or things of that nature. Anything she could do to help, she gladly would.

Faye seemed to be in charge this time around, as Elise had most likely tried all her resources up to this point. The doctor did some mundane things, like checking Iris' heartbeat, tested that she was indeed breathing and other such firsthand measures. "I could try some traditional methods.... Nina, would you get me a bowl of water? I'll possibly need it." she called out as Elise assisted and Iliana looked on from the side. Of course, the girl went to fulfill the request, wanting to get her friend back to her senses.

As she was coming back from the kitchen with the bowl, steps and items being moved sounded across the corridor. Once she got back into the room, something rather unexpected was waiting for her. The three women had backed away from Iris' bed, where the girl was standing. But it was not sure if it was Iris herself suspending her body as a spirit now hovered over her. It was a translucent, pale woman wrapped inside a whole menagerie of leather belts and similar restraints. Behind her back was a pair of black-feathered wings, the other was torn in half and the other still there. As the women looked on in amazement, the leather around the spirit's head started to unravel, revealing a pair of empty eyesockets that started bleeding down the thing's face. It moved it's head around, as if looking over the women nearby. It was both beautiful and terrifying to behold.

Nina was the first to say something. "Iris? Iris is that you?" She came forward, the bowl of water still clutched tightly in her hands. She was afraid of the thing, but also found herself drawn to it. She thought it looked pained, and caught and its wing clipped. She felt a desire to help it.

"Iris, do you recognize us?" she said, hopefully, as she drew close.

The spirit's empty eyesockets stayed in Nina's direction for some time. It eventually shaked it's head at her. "I'm not this person called Iris...." it said in a hoarse voice, lowering itself towards the standing body under it. As it vanished into Iris' body, the girl's eyes blinked open. For a while she stood up perfectly straight, eventually collapsing forward but managing to stop herself from hitting the floor. As the blind warrior gathered herself, everyone could see that the wings on the spirit were now on her as well.

Nina put down her bowl of water and knelt close to the crouching body of Iris, which now seemed to be possessed by a winged spirit.

"Please, don't strain yourself. We're here to help... If, if you're not Iris, then you should know that you're in the body of someone that all of us care very deeply about. So please, take care. There's a bed just behind you. You can rest and get your bearing."

Nina gestured helpfully, hoping that the winged creature might be willing to settle down for the moment and simply talk to them. She didn't want it running away with Iris' body. This new presence must know something about Iris, wherever or however she was.
