Nadia ground her teeth as she heard the screams behind her, and stared down the spider that had intended to grab her as a couple of others had. She spared a glance behind her and growled irritably at the sight. Mary was down, as were several others girls, and only one of them was armed. Sarah was still up, at least, and as she glared down the creature that waved its web-spinner and fangs at her threateningly, Nadias eyes glowed furiously as she leaned forward and shouted; "Demon filth! Flee, or be purged from this world and all others, for all eternity!" Then, without a seconds hesitation, Nadia surged forward and slashed both of her swords at the demonic spider, the blades coming down in narrow arks over the things torso.

As she attacked, the young angel shouted over her shoulder; "Keep them boxed in! Don't let any of them get away! Sarah, get Mary out of that things grasp, but take care not to hurt anyone else!" The spider likely wouldn't survive the twin blows, but if it did, she simply swung at it again, paying no heed to defense. The longer she was held up by this creature, the more likely it was that one of the others might be dragged into the darkness. She couldn't allow that to happen.

Now that the ambush had started, everything seemed to happen at once. Nadia charged the spider with both blades, and both found the beasts's brain. It collapsed on the spot and rolled onto its back, legs curling. Nadia saw what looked like an egg roll away, and realized that the things were ready to plant their eggs in the first female they found. And they'd found several.

Sarah conjured a ball of fire and hurled it at the spider pinning Mary. The spider let out a high-pitched scream, and terrible burns marked part of its abdomen, but it stayed upright, and thrust its ovipositor into the nude young human and began thrusting. The girl did her best to resist, but the sensation was too much, and she moaned lewdly as she orgasmed. Nadia could see something moving in the spider's abdomen, and realized it was getting ready to fill the young girl's womb.

Behind her, Nadia heard a tearing sound, and screams of terror as the other three spiders all succeeded in tearing the girls' clothing off with their mandibles and sharp-tipped feet. One elf with a knife took a swipe at the nearest spider, but it danced out of the way, pulling its now-nude victim a little closer to the edge of the light. The rest of the free women huddled in a group near the center of the light. And Nadia could see why - out in the darkness were the red points of scores more eyes, just watching. At least for now.

The immediate threat dealt with, Nadia spun, ready to deal death to more of the demonic arachnids. What she saw wasn't good. Mary hadn't even lasted a second before her will had eroded, and she could see bulges moving beneath the demons flesh toward its ovipositor. Within a few seconds, she'd be just as pregnant as most of the rest of them, her climax ensuring that she wouldn't even have a chance to resist. Sarah had already hit it pretty hard, however, and she hoped that the elven mage could finish it off before the poor girl was filled with eggs.

Nadia had bigger concerns, at the moment. Three others, already naked, were being gradually dragged away, and the sea of red eyes waiting in the darkness kept the other girls from even trying to help. The angel cursed inwardly as she rushed forward, her energies gathering. Had she had more control, like Lillith, she might have conjured holy fire and simply disintegrated all of the spiders at once with it, the powerful magic ignoring those who weren't meant to be harmed by it. She lacked such fine control, however, and her clumsiness was costing her charges now. A fierce grin suddenly came across her face, however, and Nadias gathered energy suddenly formed into an orb in front of her that shot off into the darkness. She couldn't hurt the spiders in front of them, at least not without risking harm to the ones she was trying to protect, but the spiders outside of the light enjoyed no such protections.

A brilliant flash as the ball of energy exploded amidst the gathered spiders, revealing them for half a second even as they were enveloped in its power. Hopefully, that would kill all of those still hiding outside of her reach, but even if it didn't, Nadia knew that it couldn't do any harm. Right? As her blast exploded, She moved amidst the group, swords in hand, to try and intercept the spiders trying to drag some of their group away into the shadows before they could get away. She shouted once more, a wordless challenge to the spiders as she put herself between them and escape.

Nadia creates an intense flash of holy fire among the spiders in the darkness, hitting 4 of them. Unfortunately, the fire barely more then singes the beasts, and none of them like the experience. Sarah throws her own fire, expecting to easily finish off the spider on top of Mary.

The spider notices just in time, and the orb misses by just a hair. The spider hisses at Sarah, then buries its fangs into the woman it's raping. She screams in pain instead of pleasure, now, but suddenly her struggles slow and stop. Clearly some sort of poison has affected the poor woman. All the while, the beast continues thrusting in and out of its victim, and now that the twin factors of orgasm and poison have stopped Mary from effectively resisting, it finishes quickly, thrusting its ovipositor deep inside the girl as pulse after pulse runs down its length, eggs being pushed into the poor girl's womb. Even as it finishes that, it begins spinning the pour young girl's body, covering it in sticky webbing.

The other three spiders are following a similar tract, each easily forcing its thick ovipositor between the legs of its victim, increasing the urgency of each one's screams to no avail, and adding pleasure to fear. The lone elf with a knife is knocked over by the spider, not even worth properly attacking. The only bright point was that Nadia's position between them and the edge of the light made them give up their attempts to drag their victims away.

But against that one ray of light, came the four spiders Nadia had infuriated. One seemed to decide that if watching meant getting hit with holy fire, then it wouldn't watch. The other three decided that it meant it was time to attack. They bound into the light. One ignores Nadia and goes for the elf with the knife, easily pinning her to the ground and knocking away her knife. The other two land on opposite sides of Nadia, ready to fight.

There are still glowing red eyes outside the ring, if not quite as many as before.

Had she not been so busy, Nadia might have cursed aloud. Things were much worse now than they'd been a moment ago, with another quartet of spiders coming into the battle. Mary had been poisoned and impregnated, her womb filled with the darkwalkers eggs, and was being bound up in silk, even now. Three other girls were in much the same straights, their bodies being violated by the vile spiders on top of them. There was no way that she could possibly stop all of them on her own, and it looked as though there wouldn't be many left standing to offer aid other than herself and Sarah. A fourth girl, the last armed one, was one the ground beneath a spider. Things were going to hell pretty quickly, and she prayed that the one that was leaving wasn't going to get any more spiders.

Now, with spiders on either side of her and with those she'd sworn to protect on the ground all around her, spiders raping them, about to rape them, or just finishing up. A howl of rage threatened to escape Nadias throat, but instead, she calmly turned and swept her swords across at one of the spiders, trying to bisect the thing before it could cause any further trouble. her back would be to the spider behind her, but such was the price one paid for being so badly outnumbered. All she could do, was try to kill the spiders one by.

Nadia didn't wait for the spider in front of her to attack, she went straight for the kill, a one-two slash that split the beast halfway to its thorax. Then she turned, quickly dodging around the other spider's attack with an almost obscene grace. Unfortunately, the spider seems to have anticipated this, and it manages to catch her arm with its mandibles. The bite isn't bad, but Nadia feels a poison coursing through her veins, slowing her movements... with an effort of will, she overcomes the potent venom, but she can already feel that the next time it will be harder.

The spider that already finished raping Mary spins her with remarkable speed in its legs, and in seconds she is covered head to toes with silk, except that her breasts, dripping pussy, and distended belly are all left exposed. Then it charges Sarah. And runs straight into her next fireball, catching on fire. It runs a few steps towards the darkness before collapsing in a smoldering heap.

Meanwhile, four other women, two humans and two elves, are pinned beneath more of the black beasts. The three who were attacked first are all being throughly raped, but their cries dwindle to stiff moans as poison begins coursing through their veins. The fourth screams as her clothes come off, knowing perfectly well what will come next and dreading it.

The other women - all pregnant except a terrified Beth - stare in terror at the darkness. Running is no option, not with all those red eyes out there. But staying might not be better long, as it seems inevitable that once the spiders finish with their current targets, they'll move on to the rest. The only real hope is that Nadia and Sarah manage to finish their fight quickly.

Nadia grimaced in pain as she felt fangs sink into her arm, the poison not yet bothering her, but she knew that it would only get stronger the more she was bitten. Women were being raped all around her, their attackers preparing to fill them with their vile eggs and leave them just as pregnant as the rest of the group. Gritting her teeth, Nadia whirled away from the spider that had bit her and set upon one of the ones that was currently raping one of the down girls. Her swords swung across low, the strike completely horizontal, as she tried to kill it before it could plant its eggs. The young angel also kept alert, ready to veer aside when the other spider went at her with its fangs or its webbing.

Things weren't going well, but at least some of them were still up and fighting. Sarah was doing admirably, though Nadia didn't doubt that the elfs energy reserves were being taxed. The sea of red eyes, gathered off beyond the edge of the light, were an omnipresent threat, but until they joined in, they still at least had a chance.

Nadia ignores the spider that managed to bite her and lunges towards the nearest spider in the process of raping a woman. Both swords strike true, and at the same time the young angel manages to avoid a second attack from the spider that managed to hit her before. Her target dies instantly and rolls onto its back, leaving its paralyzed victim on the ground. Nadia is chilled to see a single vile egg nestled between the woman's lower lips, and hopes she it was the first.

Meanwhile, Sarah throws another orb of fire, which strikes an alread-injured spider squarely, killing it just before it can penetrate the girl underneath it. The girl's screams of fear turn into a gasp of thanks for her rescuer and she gets to her feet, legs shaking.

One of the other spiders has apparently already finished with its victim, as it has pulled out and wrapped her in silk the same way as Mary was. It looks around the battlefield and seems to decide that the odds are not in its favor, as it picks up its victim and starts moving quickly towards the edge of the light. The only other spider left inside a woman spasms, and sends eggs shooting into its victim's womb as she lies there, paralyzed by orgasm and venom.

Outside the circle of light, the spiders seem to chitter briefly, and some sets of eyes begin to vanish. Others remain in two loose clumps, one on either side of the group along the main shaft.

Nadia didn't allow herself any joy as the spider was killed, the one egg lying between the girls nether lips a sign that she might have been too late anyway. The victim she'd rescued lay motionless, the spiders venom leaving her helpless and unable to move, and she spotted movement out of the corner of her eye. "No you don't!" Nadia shouted as she spotted one of the spiders trying to flee. Still ignoring the one spider that was following her around, trying to bite her, the young angel charged, her heavy blades behind her before she suddenly stopped, all of her momentum transferring into her arms as they scissored forward, cutting the spider in half just like she'd done before. She immediately spun around as the spider died, ready to once again dodge the spider that kept trying to attack her.

Nadia charged after the spider with all her speed, and managed to catch it, swinging both blades in twin deadly arcs, cutting the spider cleanly in two at the thinnest point. The things legs clawed uselessly at the dirt as the thing's burden dropped to the ground near the edge of the light. Again the spider that has already once managed to inject its paralyzing venom attacks, and for the second time Nadia easily evades both its legs and jaws.

Back near the center of the light, Sarah hurls more fire at the last remaining spider as it wraps up its victim and starts running for the darkness. Her attack hits squarely, but the spider manages to recover with patches of its skin giving off smoke, and continue limping towards the darkness.

Nadia turns and surveys the battlefield, indecision causing her to hesitate for a half second. One of the spiders was fleeing towards the darkness, but Sarah had already burnt it severely. Her next attack might finish it off without Nadia even having to do anything, but if the elf missed..... That made her decision for her, functionally, and Nadia surged toward the badly burnt spider, her blades held high. She then once again spun, ready to dance away and avoid the spider that was still trying to bite her.

Nadia sprints towards the fleeing spider, not wanting to risk Sarah missing a second time, and easily catches up with the badly injured darkwalker. It drops its burden to turn and face her, but Nadia ignores its jaws and legs and puts a sword through each of its two largest eyes. The thing collapses in a heap. She turns to face the last remaining spider inside the circle of light, and realizes that it's too close for her to cleanly dodge those venom-dripping jaws. Then it falls forward, and Nadia just manages to avoid getting trapped under it. She sees Sarah, arm still extended from throwing one last ball of fire.

With the last of the attacking spiders vanquished, some of the other girls finally gather enough courage to move from their little cluster, and the circle of light expands as one brings a lantern with her. The red eyes outside the circle back considerably away, but don't disappear entirely. Sarah picks up a fallen knife and runs over to Mary, cutting her free and then healing her as best she can. She manages to get to her feet with Sarah's help, and a tear runs down a cheek as she puts both hands over her belly, feeling the slight swelling of the spider's eggs.

She gets herself together, and between them, Nadia, and with the hesitant aid of the other uninjured girls they unbind the other two webbed girls. Unfortunately, Sarah is too tired to manage to heal the other paralyzed women as well as she did Mary, and Beth can do no better. The elf found with one egg between her lower lips is convinced that she is pregnant, though Nadia thinks its too early to say for sure. All three of those cured of paralysis look confused, and need help walking.

Nadia surveys the damages to her little group, and is discouraged by what she sees. It is clear that the spiders preferred to attack girls who weren't already impregnated - the only one they attacked who was already showing was Nadia, and only one girl who wasn't pregnant wasn't attacked. The attack has also left the group with only two intact dresses between the eleven women; four were torn to shreds during the attack.

Perhaps worse still, there were still the red spider eyes of three or four spiders visible down the passageway in the direction they had to go to escape, as well as the way back. The spiders had backed away from the light after the fight, but if they were backed into a corner then they would almost certainly fight. And the group had no way of knowing the layout of the passages ahead. Sarah is the one to ask the question. "What do we do?"

Nadia danced aside as the dead spider very nearly toppled onto her, and she sighed as she surveyed what had happened after the battle. Most of those that hadn't already been impregnated were now carrying a batch of spiders, their bellies distended by the eggs in them. The angel made sure that everyone was still within the group, and as she found everyone still within the radius of the light, she sighed. It had been bad, but it could certainly have been much worse. They were still all together, and alive, but Nadia hadn't protected them very well, and added another thing to her ever increasing list of failures for the day. She'd cry herself a river about it later, for now, she turned her eyes toward the shadows, where the eyes of the remaining spiders waited.

They wouldn't let the group pass, of course, but now most of them couldn't move anyway. Many were under the affects of the poison, and Sarah was visibly exhausted, leaving Nadia herself as the groups only defense. She and Beth couldn't heal all of them, and she cursed inwardly as the damned spiders didn't leave. She briefly considered sending another ball of energy at them, but last time that had only made matters worse, so instead, she simply watched them, sparing glances backwards to make sure that they weren't surrounded and that no one was in trouble. At Sarahs words, she glanced ahead, scowling, and kept her voice low as she said; "We wait. We're all exhausted, we're safe, at least for the next few seconds. Make sure no one gets far away from the light, and keep someone pointed in every direction. I don't think they're ready for round two just yet, but I want to know if something else comes to attack us before it has the chance to drag somebody off. We stay here and try to recover some of our strength, but I don't want to wait much more than ten minutes."

The minutes passed slowly, all the girls staring out into the darkness, most sitting. Beth talked quietly with the elf who thought she might be pregnant, trying to convince her that she'd be okay even if a few eggs had gotten through, while the two humans who knew for sure that the spiders had gotten them sat together nearby. The rest sat or stood alone, watching the darkness.

Nadia found herself drawn to Sarah, who was intently looking at the way forward, the only one to be doing so. It was hard to make out exactly what was going on, the spiders only being visible when the light from a lantern reflected off their eyes, but it almost looked like there were fewer then there had been a minute ago. Nadia looked down at Sarah, who was cradling a breast in one hand, and the elven woman noticed her. She let go of her breast, and motioned Nadia to sit beside her. "My breasts feel... sensitive, and I think they might be a little bigger as well. And my emotions are all over the place. One minute I'm elated, the next I'm on the edge of despair, and I don't know if it's because I should be, or if it's just the baby... but I know I don't like being pregnant."

She turns to face Nadia. "But if it weren't for you, I'd be giving birth in Petra in an hour or two, and probably pregnant again before I could fall asleep. All of us would. Maybe if you were stronger or faster the three poor girls wouldn't have been impregnated by the spiders. But if I were better at magic, I could have saved us. Or Beth, if she knew any battle magic. Or if Mary was strong enough to fight the spider out, she could have helped end the fight quickly enough to save everyone before it was too late. Don't beat yourself up over it. You're our only hope of getting out of here."

By the time the ten minutes were up, Sarah had regained a little energy, and between her, Beth, and a little time, all of the recently-paralyzed girls could walk unaided. And the spiders were gone. There was no way to know if they had actually left, or were hiding in ambush, or regrouping and gathering more arachnid allies, but the situation wasn't going to get any better unless they wanted to spend the night in the caves. And given the number of eyes they had seen only a few minutes ago, none of the girls wanted to try that.

Nadia smiled at Sarah as she came to stand near the elf, though her expression became a little more tired as the other woman complain of her pregnancy. "I don't much like it either. It'll be over soon, at least.... And hopefully it won't happen again. At least not soon." Her face became a neutral mask at Sarahs words of comfort, but she at least managed a weak smile as she finished, and replied; "Thank you... Sarah. I just.... We...." She sighed, and shook her head, but she smiled genuinely at Sarah for a moment.

When they had all recovered a little, Nadia sighed and quietly said; "We need to get going. These tunnels might have been safe for a short rest, but I know none of us want to risk trying to sleep here. We still need to be very careful, and we all need to stick as closely together as we can. Everyone with strength left needs to help carry a stretcher. If anyone gets too tired or weak, or starts falling behind, make sure that we all know, so we can stop." Unless there was no other choice, Nadia would prefer to keep her swords in her hands, but if she had to, the young angel would help carry one of the injured men herself.

The women who prepared to leave the scene of the fight were a sorry lot. Beth shared one stretcher with the elf who had narrowly escaped rape, while Mary shared the other with the human who had been impregnated only shortly before joining the group in the basement. This left the three women still weak from poison to give each other a little extra balance as they walked, and left the four women who were furthest along in their pregnancy on light duty. Not to mention leaving both Nadia's hands free, and Sarah free to cast any spells she could still manage.

The journey started out tense. As the group slowly moved forward, they could hear and even occasionally see spiders at the edge of the light, skittering back as they moved forward. And behind, there seemed to be more and more. Ten. A dozen. A score. More. Nadia felt sweat on her palms as she caressed the hilt of her sword. If they attacked, the women were probably doomed. But the ones in front continued to move out of their way, and the ones behind never got close enough to see. Half an hour passed, and suddenly the spiders weren't behind them anymore. Or in front. Or to the sides. When Nadia realized she smiled. Then something stirred in her womb, and for a moment she feared her labor had started. Only for a moment, but it was a grim reminder that they had not gotten out without injury.

A full hour after they first set out, Nadia finally saw grass ahead of them, at the edge of the lantern light. They had made it out! Several of the girls exchanged hugs, as often as not made awkward by their pregnant bellies. It wouldn't be long before it was time to deal with that. Nadia had felt her own womb stir more and more often as they walked, and her belly had continued to grow. Sarah's pregnancy looked like that of a woman overdue, and her own looked at least as bad. And given her impressive height, that was saying something. Walking was getting tiring, and she saw several of the other women who were as far along as she adopting the waddle characteristic of late pregnancy.

That, on top of everything that had happened this day, meant that they would have to make camp as soon as possible, or risk people falling asleep on their feet. The last light of sunset had faded in any case, and it was all Nadia could do to convince the women that sleeping in the mouth of the cave was an invitation for the spiders to take them while they slept. Another minute or two found them what seemed to be a suitable clearing to spend the night, though it would hardly be comfortable without any sort of bedding save for the four shredded dresses.

Nadia glared at the horde of spiders as they passed through the tunnels, her eyes aglow and her hands clenching her swords in sweaty palms. That many spiders, she simply couldn't hope to defeat. Not even on a good day, out in the open. Here, in these cramped quarters..... But, it never came to that, and relief flooded through the angel as they were left alone, with no more crimson eyes to harass them. That relief intensified when they came out of the tunnels without further molestation, into the cool night air.

She was exhausted, or at least as exhausted as one of her kind could be without any direct injuries afflicting them, and she would soon be due to whatever it was that she was carrying. Her lack of study irritated her once more, but there was nothing to be done for it now. Instead, she led the group on, until they found a clearing. It wasn't much, but it was as good as they were likely to get. She couldn't rest yet, however, and rather than plop onto the ground, Nadia immediately turned to Sarah and said; "Any wards or traps you can set, even if all they might accomplish would be to warn us of danger, would be most appreciated. We'll be staying here, at least for the night, but I doubt that this place is safe, even if it is better than the mouth of the cavern. We must all be careful, though our weariness and sorrow hangs heavily upon us all."

It was all she could say, under the circumstances, and she delivered it in a crisp, somber tone. It wasn't quite detached, but any listening would know that it wasn't far from that state.

Sarah gave a mirthless laugh. "I'm sorry, but I'm not very good at magic, except fire. I learned a little healing and some other simple invocations at Petra, but a ward is beyond me. Even one that just make noise or light." She wanders away with her head down, and sits in a part of the clearing without anyone nearby, then brings out the Athelas leaves, quietly urging away anyone who came close with warnings that she must not be disturbed.

She set them out in the light of the half-full moon. She placed them one by one until a total of thirty one leaves are set in front of her. Each was about the size of the palm of her hands and unusually thick, for leaves of that size. Then she makes a series of marks on the first leaf with one of the group's knives, quickly making a lattice of partial slits. To Nadia's surprise, a glowing mist begins to rise out of the leaf. Sarah quickly leans down over the leaf and breaths the mist in, then slowly exhales, giving her breath the sound of a spell without words. The mist that comes out is considerably brighter, and more dense, and the leaf seems to drink it in more and more rapidly, until suddenly it is gone.

Sarah takes the leaf and places it one one side, then begins again on a second. This time when breathing out she coughs slightly, and the the mist spreads out across the ground instead of pouring into the leaf. She curses, but moves on to the next one. Some of the rest Nadia can see what went wrong. Breathing too rapidly or too slowly, once jumping as the thing in her womb moved suddenly. Others she can see that something went wrong, but not what. Several failed to give off the mist in the first place, or it came out blacker then the night rather then glowing. The latter few leaves Sarah burned with magical fire, and Nadia hoped that she hadn't taken in any of evil-looking mist. Some it seemed everything had happened as the first, but Sarah still discarded the leaf afterwards.

When she finally finishes, Sarah has six prepared leaves returned to the leather bag, and another twenty gathered up in her hands, the remainder either left on the ground or burned. She moves over to the two badly injured men, and begins preparing bandages. She talks while she works. "I had hoped to get more, but preparing them is very difficult, and it doesn't always work even if I do it right. Six will be enough for these two, though. Three leaves for each of them, pressed against open wounds. Those wounds will be completely healed by morning, and most of the rest as well. Even the broken leg. The rest of the leaves have at least a little magic in them, and we can still use most of them. They'll only last for a day or so, but eating one should help with poison, and making a hot tea will help make minor wounds heal more quickly." By the time she is finished talking, she is finished working with the men as well. They didn't look any better to Nadia, but Sarah seemed confident that they'd be walking by morning. The previously poisoned girls each take a leaf and chew it, even Mary. One complains that it tastes metallic, but she eats it all the same.

Then she turned to Nadia, beaming. "Oh, and I thought of something while I was working! I could make an enchanted fire that makes hiding difficult nearby! It would need people to stay up and watch, and having a fire might draw things to us, but it would be a big help if any of those reptile things showed up. It would also help keep us warm. You might be able to ignore petty concerns like that, but the reset of us are more mortal, and naked besides."

Around the little clearing, two or three girls have already lain down and are apparently sleeping, and the rest look like they'd like to join them. The only exceptions are the two extremely pregnant elves, who look too uncomfortable to sleep. Nadia notices a drop of something wet running down each of Sarah's breasts. The girl catches one drop as it rolls over her enormous belly, and sniffs it. Sarah looks disturbed, but doesn't say anything, and Nadia is glad that she at least doesn't seem to be lactating. Still, Nadia feels that her time is extremely imminent as well. Which is good, because her belly has if anything accelerated in its growth, to the point where even she is having trouble walking normally.

Nadia watched Sarah for a moment after she'd left to work on the athelas, but then turned to keep watch. Her belly had begun to pain her more and more as the moments ticked by, and she knew that she would be due fairly soon. The sooner the better, as far as Nadia was concerned, as she muttered irritably to herself. She kept glancing at the elf out of the corner of her eye, more out of curiosity than anything else, as even she couldn't see very well in the dark of the night. It seemed that many of the leaves she'd gathered had been wasted, but Nadia accepted Sarahs explanation without complaint. They'd been of some use, which was enough for the angel to be satisfied that her journey hadn't been wasted, even though it had meant that she wasn't in Petra when the village had been attacked. Such thoughts immediately sent Nadias mind to very dark places, and she forcefully banished them from her thoughts before a dark mood could take her, though her fluctuating hormones made the action all the more difficult.

She watches as Sarah administers the leaf to the two injured men, and then passes more around to be chewed by some of the women, but then pipes up; "Was this mans leg set properly? If it hasn't, then unless the healing properties of athelas are mighty indeed, then he will still be of little use in a fight, and might never be able to walk properly again."

At the other womans comments about the cold, Nadia cursed inwardly again. She'd forgotten that others might be bothered by such things, even if she was not, and nodded to Sarah immediately. "Do it. Being a little bit more difficult to find by whatever is roaming the woods won't matter if all of you freeze. and these men will need the warmth to recover quickly, athelas or no athelas." At how distraught the elf became as she sniffed at what was dripping from her breast, Nadia quirked an eye, and quietly said, so that others would not hear; "What's wrong? It is a natural thing, even when it is such a being as the monster that raped you that is the father."

At this point, Nadia was just waiting. Waiting for something to come and attack them in the night. Waiting for the dawn to bring them a degree of greater safety. Waiting for whatever was growing inside of her to decide that it had grown enough, and free her womb of its burden. Waiting for the women around her to bear their unnatural progeny, which the young angel knew she'd probably have to destroy the moment after their birth, a deed that Nadia took no relish in. All things deserved a chance to live, after all, and to take that before a being even had a chance to prove its nature was not something Nadia would relish. Not at all. Her thoughts turned to Lillith, and she wondered if her elder still lived. A silent prayer flitted through her mind, and Nadia adopted an almost mournful expression. Would it truly be better for Lillith to be alive, or dead? In the grasp of whatever had taken her, Nadia knew well the horrors that might befall the angel. She knew all too well the hunger that beings that fed upon the essence of others would relish the feast of an angels soul, after all.

The girl assuaged Nadia's fears about the one man's broken leg as she handed athelas leaves to a few of the other girls. "Yes, the man's leg was set shortly after the first attack, at the same time he was bandaged and put on the stretcher. There wasn't enough time and magic to fully heal everyone, but we were at least able to give more mundane care to most everyone before the second attack came."

Afterward, Sarah smiled at Nadia in response to her attempts to calm her. "Yes, I suppose that's the most natural part of all this. But that's only so much help when I know what did this to me." She moved a little away from the other girls for a moment, then crouched down and burned a circle in the grass as a crude fire pit. In the circle she muttered a spell and a small fire grew between her hands. By the time it had expanded enough to serve as a modest camp fire, she looked tired out. But the fire seemed to burn even with no visible source of fuel, and it gave off light and heat, which the tired and scared women took advantage of it. Nadia thought that the shadows it cast looked slightly off, and when she looked away from the fire strange things jumped out at her. A small hole that might be the entrance to the lair of some burrowing animal. A rock, nearly invisible under the grass. A grasshopper. It was slightly disconcerting, but perhaps it was confirmation of a sort that hidden things were being revealed, as she had seen none of the things before the fire was lit. Or then again, perhaps it was just the larger light.

Sarah came up next to her, and took her hand, then pulled the young angel to the ground, sitting with their backs to the fire. The elf put both her hands on her own swollen belly. "I can feel it moving almost all the time now. I think it must start any second now. Would you stay with me, and help me do... what needs to be done, after? Hey, OW-!"

Before she could begin to respond, Nadia felt a sharp pain shoot through her, and realized she was squeezing Sarah's hand, hard. The pain had hardly stopped when it came again, stronger. Her labor had started. Something squeezed her hand almost hard enough to make her forget the pain of her contractions, but there wasn't time to worry about that. Something was already shifting inside her, leaving her womb. There was pain, sharp contractions that made her want to scream, but there was also pleasure. Whatever was coming out of her was much thicker then the fibrous member that had planted it inside her, and roughly textured. There also seemed to be something wiggling, helping to move it along. Then the thing was out, and she could look at it. It was round, green, and about the size of an orange, and two little vines came out of it, and seemed to be dragging it slowly away from her slit. What happened to yours, I swear there were little green..."

Finally managing to pay attention to the world around, her Nadia turned. Sarah lay on the ground beside her, and on top of her now-flat belly was a smaller version of the thing that had raped her. A grey ball of tentacles. It seemed to be playing with Sarah's milk-leaking breasts, and it looked too big to have fit inside the girl's belly. As she watched, it grew visibly. On the other side of the fire, an uncertain-looking elf was picking up an almost identical beast from the body of the girl who had given birth to it, and something faintly reptilian was getting to its feet in front of another girl. Then everything seemed to happen at once. The girl who had picked up the smaller but visibly-growing tentacled beast screamed, and the reptilian creature found its feet. Its hide seemed to be flickering, but apparently Sarah's fire was working to keep it from disappearing. That didn't stop the thing from running, though.

A muffled sound came from Sarah, but Nadia was looking at the elf who had screamed. She had fallen to the ground, and seemed to be frantically trying to pull the beast's tentacles out of her pussy and ass. And failing. The thing was only just born, and it was raping her! Sarah! She turned to the elf beside her, and saw that it had two tentacles between her legs, and another in her mouth. Mary was running toward the other side of the fire, toward the unfortunate elf, leaving Nadia to deal with Sarah.
