The two succubi attract little attention as they make their way to the largest hut, big enough to be called a house, really. Inside, there's a larger than most rakshasa sitting on a throne carved of stone with his attention on an obsidian statue in front of him - at least it looks like a statue, until the humanoid figure shifts slightly, staring back at the rakshasa chief. On both sides of the throne there's a human slave woman knelt, looking to the floor with a gold-decorated collar around her neck.

*Whats with the living statue* Helena asked curiously, glancing at the collared women and then the chief, staring him straight in the eye. "I've come seeking an audience with the Chieftan of the Raksasha. I am Helena" she said loudly. It wouldn't do to appear meek given what they were trying to accomplish.

"Silence, wench!" the rakshasa roars. The obsidian figure calmly ignores the succubus and speaks in a human-like voice with a tone that says it's something that he has said dozens of times before. "As I already told you, the terms are not negotiable."

Helena blinks and realizes this is one of those moments where you had to put up or walk away, and with what was on the line, she wasn't going anywhere...

Hitting his mind like a sledgehammer, not caring how much energy she had to pour into the link to force him to listen, Helena screamed into his head with all the power she could muster. *SILENCE!? NOW YOU LISTEN HERE CUR! I AM NOT IN THE MOOD FOR GAMES! WHEN I COME TO TALK, YOU WILL LISTEN!!!*

Striking the chief rakshasa's mind felt much liking hitting a stonewall with a bare fist.

Ignoring Helena he turns back towards the obsidian person. "Your master is not the only one who would enslave us. And you're weak so far from your precious fires. Your master is no threat to us. Leave now."

Helena can feel the obsidian figure's rage, but he nevertheless turns and leaves with as much dignity as he can muster. The rakshasa chief gets up and follows him out with his slaves in tow.

*Did you really think we'd be able to solve this with raw force? Rakshasa aren't like humans. We should try to find what we can offer them that they want. The chief at least seems to like humans.*

*I Know... I figured appearing weak would be a bad thing, Well, All I did was prove how weak I am, But at least I didn't appear timid.*

Helena wandered back out of the tent and looked for the Chief again, Flying over to him, she landed nearby again. "Chief, We do need to talk, I apologise for my rudeness, but I have a personal stake in this. I'm here to represent the Dragon."

The chief stops a short way from the hut, watching the obsidian figure leave. "Well, you can bugger off, too. I'm not going to allow our tribe to become slaves to anyone."

"Slave? I was told he was offering protection, Why don't you fill me in as to what's actually going on, I'm a third party at least, But I can't leave"

For the first time the chief really looks at Helena, and she can feel his mind prodding at hers carefully. "You're a young one, aren't you? Those are just different names for the same thing. Once you accept someones protection, you'll soon enough find that you no longer have a choice. From there it's just a matter of time. I'm not going to swear fealty to the dragon or anyone else."

Helena is quiet for a moment as she thinks about what to do. "It seems he's not your only petitioner, and with it being so commonplace, What's stopping them from just forcing you?" She asked it as neutrally as possible hoping not to offend now that he was actually talking to her.

The chief seems amused by the implication. "I'd almost like to see them try. We're no easy meat! And if they won, they'd have to fight all the others who'd want to try the same thing."

Helena smiled at the Chief. "I see, well, surely there can't be something you couldn't gain from a mutual agreement"

*Well, it seems either they have all the muscle they need to tell him to shove it on their own, or there's something else here...*

*I think you should try putting it a little differently. The dragon wants gold, not slaves.*

"Well, The Dragon doesn't really need slaves... He just wants gold, like any dragon really, So if your freedom isn't on the table, why is coin such an issue?"

"Then if it wouldn't bother you, I'll bring the counter proposal to him, see what he says" Giving a short bow, Helena rockets into the air and begins to head back towards the cave, she didn't have her hopes very high, but information was information and every bit was another piece to the puzzle.

After a long flight, the pair arrives back to the crater.

Helena headed into the cave and went to Shariel first. "The Chief is worried about his people being enslaved, but he's willing to negotiate with the dragon face to face if at all possible, that is of course if all the Dragon is asking for is gold."
