As Jasmine and Helena pick up the pace, Strike seems annoyed, but still follows them, if at a slower pace. A couple hours later they reach the village again.

Helena keeps jogging to the Blacksmith's and all but collapses after she makes it there, dropping the load unceremoniously and calling out for the burly man. Sitting on the floor and panting for breath she figures being winded was better then dealing with more of.... Whatever the hell those things were... "Got your... Stuff...."

The blacksmith picks up the bag easily, setting it aside before taking the silver from Jasmine and handing Helena a small mace with spikes through its head, covered in silver. "I've got your morningstar right here. If you need anything else, I'm sure we can work out something."

Still panting on the floor, helena takes the morningstar and offers a thank you. When asked about something more, she thinks for a minute. "How common are the giant spiked rat things?"

"Giant rat things? Sounds like you've had a real adventure. One occasionally shows up, but they usually run from people, and aren't much to worry about. There are worse things out there."

"One? Try Six" Helena says shaking her head, "And they most certainly didn't run, had barbed tendrils and were all around Nasty, Still Thank you for the weapon. If I had time to actually practice properly I'd ask for a bow, but time wont really allow" Standing up she turned to Jasmine, "This should work better then that busted pick, anything else we need? Because I am STARVING!"

"Let's go to the inn and eat. And then you need some more practice, I think."

As the pair heads to the inn, the morning star gets them quite a few looks, but no comments. The innkeeper gives them a smile and immediately servers them both a meal. The food isn't very tasty and most of it is vegetables, but at least there's enough of it, even given Helena's ravenous appetite.

In traditional style, Helena destroys her food in a manner that has gotten her stares on more then one occasion, belching loudly and happily, thankful that the evil monster that was her stomach was sated for now. Eating was such a hassle...

Jasmine eats more tactfully, not really appearing to be hungry. The innkeeper disappears, no doubt on some business. "That comes with being an ordinary human. Let's work on changing that, shall we?" Jasmine leads Helena upstairs and once they're seated, she starts running her through meditation practices again.

Helena follows and takes a seat, running through the drills without complaint and working to hone her mind to a razors edge, she was only a liability in a fight, more now then ever, She refused to be the reason Jasmine got hurt....

After long hours of practice, Helena finally finds the faint spark she's been looking for, but it disappears quickly and she can't find it again. Soon afterwards, Jasmine leans back. "I think we should take a break, though we can still continue later today, if you'd like."

Helena groans and rubs her temples as they take a break "Gaaaah! I had it! and it slipped through my fingers!" nodding and falling back onto the bed, she wonders when the hell everything had gone awry, she doubted it had been IN hell. That twister had looked like an entirely different problem. Who even knew anymore...

After a while, the innkeeper comes in, bring dinner: sausages and turnips as well as watery ale. After setting the tray on the table, he leaves again without saying a word. Jasmine sighs. "I thought I had finally gotten away from turnips a couple centuries ago."

Helena jumps as the innkeeper enters, bringing dinner. Had they really been practicing that long? Wow... At Jasmine's quip about Turnips, Helena can't help but laugh. Smiling as she dug into her food, she decided that anyone over 600 years old could afford to be picky. "You know what sounds delicious? A cheeseburger with fries and a coke... Or Barbecued Ribs, Mashed potatoes..."

Jasmine grabs a pillow and whacks Helena with it before starting to eat herself. The food doesn't really taste bad, and while the turnips are bland, the sausages are quite tasty. Jasmine eats without more complaints.

Once they've eaten, Jasmine starts running Helena through the exercises again, and the spark refuses to appear until the session is almost over, disappearing almost as quickly as last time.

Helena laughs as her teasing warrants a smack with a pillow and eagerly pivks up the exercises again. When the spark doesnt show until the end, she's disappointed. Getting a headache at this point, Helena just stops thinking about it, trying to relax. "Well, at least im making progress..."

Jasmine moves to hug Helena before starting to massage her scalp, not making the pain disappear, but making it more tolerable, at least. "It takes time. You just need to keep practicing."

Helena gives a soft groan at the relief given by the massage. "I know, or rather... I guess I don't, You know Magic doesn't even exist on my world?" She says, giving a short bark of laughter and immediately regretting it. " If I were to tell anyone about any of this back home? They'd call me insane and lock me away~"

"Different worlds, different rules. Magic is definitely different here from back home. More powerful in some ways, at least, but perhaps less in others." Jasmine's fingers keep draining the tension away, and Helena finds herself feeling more relaxed than since she arrived in this strange world.

" I would assume so..." As Helena finally begins to fully unwind, the most she's been since ending up here, Fatigue starts to really set in as stress catches up. Adding everything that had happened, and the practice sessions for magic she was desperately trying to relearn, it proved to be a bit much and she began to doze off right there. Yawning and shaking herself a little, Helena gave Jasmine the biggest hug to date and undressed, crawling into bed. She was out cold before her head even hit the pillow...
