After a night of peculiar dreams about her short time as a succubus the dawn wakes Helena up as usual, with memories of her dreams quickly starting to fade in the sunlight. As usual, Jasmine is still asleep snuggled close to her.

Helena holds to the dreams almost desperately, hungry for her old strength, her need to survive. As the sun wakes her, and they start to fade, she looks over at Jasmine with a soft expression and gently strokes her hair. It wasn't even for her anymore, it was for Jasmine, to give her back her sister, to be closer to the Helena she had known...

Jasmine slowly wakes up, responding Helena with a smile and a kiss on her forehead. "Good morning."

"Morning, we should get started early and say our farewells" Helena was loathe to leave this place, it seemed peaceful, but it was time to move on. Standing and getting dressed, she moved to get her pack and morning star.

"You're right, but lets make breakfast first." Jasmine gets up as well, dressing up and taking her own bag.

Helena nods and heads down to the kitchen, setting her things to the side and getting the cauldron ready for another simple meal. It would be a good way to say goodbye as well. Everyone had been kind, it was only proper.

As yesterday, the innkeeper comes down as they're finishing making the breakfast. "Good morning you two."

"Morning, we're leaving after breakfast, Thank you for helping us, its been a pleasure" Helena said smiling and handing him his porridge. She was going to miss this place as soon as her feet hit the road, she knew it.

The man takes the porridge with a grateful smile. "Oh, you're leaving already? It's been nice to have you here and you sure can cook better than I can. Feel free to help yourself for supplies for the road."

"Thank you, I appreciate it" Helena said with a smile. Taking a seat, she started on her own meal, eating hearty. As people came in that she recognized, she would give them their meals and say her goodbyes.

There aren't many people who come to eat, though Helena recognizes David, who seems sad to see her go. It doesn't take long for the breakfast to be finished and Jasmine starts making some sandwiches for them to eat later.

Helena gives her a hand, and also takes the time to pack some vegetables and dried meat for quick eating along the road if they couldn't afford to stop, it never hurt to have a backup. When everything was taken care of Helena got ready to set off, unless Jasmine had some unfinished business to handle.

Helena is already starting to get used to walking, and she and Jasmine make good time for several miles, marching towards the rising sun. Suddenly there's a rustling sounds from bushes on both sides of the road and a flight of small arrows flies towards Jasmine from both sides, hitting her before either of them can react. A strange croaking sound echoes as the shooters cheer their good fortune. Helena could reach the bushes on either side easily, perhaps quickly enough to attack before the shooters can shoot again.

Helena was just enjoying the trip, falling into a steady pace, until she had to watch as Jasmine, her sister, her family, was riddled with arrows...

Staring for a moment in shock and horror, Helena let out of scream of rage, sprinting into the bushes on her left and bringing her morning star to bare upon the first enemy she saw, anger clouding her better judgement...

Jasmine: Fireball(damage=enough)

Helena: 8/8 Jasmine: 11/47 MP 30/35, four goblins remaining.

As Helena rushes to the bush, she finds five small, twisted humanoids with wicked maws and eyes sparkling with malice. Her morningstar connects with one of them, sending the unfortunate goblins to the grounds as the spikes of her morningstar tear deep wounds into its body. The rest of the goblins shoot Jasmine again, but she manages to launch a ball of fire towards the other bush, causing it to go up in flames.

Helena just carried through the swing and brought the heavy headed weapon crashing down onto another of the twisted creatures, her vision turning read with fury....

Goblins: 1 shoots helena and misses, 3 shoots Jasmine, 1 hit for 4 damage

Jasmine: attack nat 20, damage= enough

Helena: 8/8 Jasmine: 7/47 MP 30/35, 3 goblins remaining, one of them wounded.

Helena's morningstar smashes onto the goblin, causing it to screech with pain as it turns and tries to shoot her desperate, the arrow missing her by inches as the other goblins shoot Jasmine again, causing another arrow to stick out of her accompanied by a grunt of pain as she flies over them, shooting a fiery bolt at one of them and making its head explode.

Helena smiles as her weapon connects again, but loses her grin as she has to snap her head to the side, avoiding the arrow by a thin margin. Pulling her weapon free, she spins and lashes out at one of the two remaining targeting Jasmine, more worried about her then herself. How many arrows could she take? It was shocking to say the least...

Goblins: Two shoots helena and one of them hits for 3 damage, the last shoots Jasmine a critical hit for 7 damage.

Helena: 5/8 Jasmine: 0/47 MP 30/35, 3 goblins remaining, one of them wounded.

Jasmine misses the goblin, but it turns to shoot her too, managing to score a scratch along her leg. The remaining goblin shoots Jasmine and the arrow pierces her stomach, causing her to fall down, apparently unconscious.

Turning to see it... Jasmine falling... Her sister dying......

There was no Helena left, No human left, only rage... Anger... Hatred... Far stronger then the pain of betrayal, far stronger then anything Helena had ever known, the all consuming and utter desire to kill everything and anything that had dared cross her.

Dropping her weapon low, she charged the offending shooter and swung up with all of her strength, amplified by her utter fury, at the stomach of the creature, her scream echoing through the surrounding forest like a thunderclap of hell itself...
