The food is getting ready, and Serane comes to bring plates to willow and Helena. It's heavy in meat again, but this time there are more vegetables in the mix.

"Thanks Serane" Helena says, taking her plate and eating, she always liked meat, meat was good. It was gone in a flash as always, and after eating, Helena waited for Willow to finish before resuming the fireside cuddling as she yawned and started to doze off lazily, full and content with the universe.

After she finishes eating, Serane wraps around Helena and Willow, cuddling them both until the fires are burning low and they all head to bed.

In the morning Helena wakes up between Willow and Serane, her head laying comfortable on the lamia's tail just like last night.

Helena winds up going to bed with Serane again, which was just as good as before, only better because Willow joined them. Snuggling into the pair, Helena soon passed out with Serane, resting on her tail again. Waking slowly, cozy and warm, Helena was loathe to leave, but wriggled free anyway, leaving the pair to sleep while she set about the early bird act again, walking out and yawning before stretching and looking around. If nothing was going on, she would get started on the fires for breakfast.

Outside Helena finds the same two young lamias as last time, already at work starting fires. With Helena's help and as more people come out, the breakfast is soon done and eaten. The day goes almost as uneventfully as yesterday went, but as the sun begins to set, Helena spots a hole in the treeline ahead, which soon turns out to be a town. As they get closer and the sun falls behind horizon, however, a cadre of perhaps a hundred soldiers marches to meet the caravan head on on the road. As Serane stops the wagon, a familiar looking face rides through the ranks to meet them, though this time the vampire's face is flushed, making him look just like a normal person. "Hello Helena. Last time our chat was interrupted, ye ken, so I figured you'd want some time before finishing it."

Helena was quite happy to just laze around all day after the breakfast had been finished and camp was broken, the caravan heading out and the day passing by in almost perfect peace and harmony. However, as the tripped neared it's end for the day and the sun began to set, Helena spotted a town in the distance, and a group of soldiers, and a vampire...

Helena, walking forward immediately to the front of the caravan glared at him before joining her mind with Jasmine's. *Back me up, and don't let him fuck with my head, I think he tried to last time* She said, hoping the extra strength from her sister would help her out in that regard before she answered. "We did indeed, and I slipped your prison after being apprehended for simply existing. And as before I'll tell you that talking is going to get you a lot farther with me then trying to force me anywhere because I am what I am. And to you currently, that's a stubborn bitch. BUT, before we get any further with disliking each other, I'll make you a deal. I'll answer every question you may have about me, right now, peacefully and honestly, but I will not stop or go anywhere with you before I have what I need from the Amber Wastes. And that's simply not up for discussion." She said, crossing her arms.

Helena feels Jasmine's comforting presence in her mind as the older succubus lends her some confidence if not strength. The vampire lifts his empty hands into the air theatrically. "Hey, the first time we met, you weren't being exactly fair to me either lass, trying to attack me just like that. And you would've been in a comfy room if you hadn't scared my horse away and forced me to carry you until sunrise. But let the past be past."

The vampire gives a sign to the men behind him, and they move out of the road as the vampire rides forward to meet with the wagons. As the men move out, Serane starts the wagons moving again and the vampire falls in pace with them, keeping his horse next to Helena. "Now, let's start with the basics. How about telling me what are you exactly, and what are you doing in Darkon."

Helena sighed and scratched her head. "I've already explained why I attacked you first, and I did shout at you repeatedly to stop, but you're right. Come on then." She said sighing again and watching the men file away as he rode up to meet them, riding next to her. "The basics huh? Alright, I'll answer a question for a question then. I'm a Succubus, a kind of demon who feeds on the sexual pleasure of other creatures, which is how I got out, your men were a little eager, although cruel. As for what I'm doing in Darkon, I never chose to be here, I was pulled rather unceremoniously out of my world and into yours and now I just want to get home. Please understand that I left both of your men alive, although I had no reason to do so. I'm not Evil, far from it, I do my best to stay out of trouble unless I think something is threatening my friends, which is why I reacted to you so very strongly. Now, your turn. Who exactly do you work for, and why are they so interested in me, that they would send someone as powerful as yourself to forcibly drag me back. And do your men know what you are, not to be rude, but you seem to hold a great deal of rank, those are official soldiers, not bandits, and you took me to a guard house of all places."

"A succubus, eh? And not evil? Well, first time for everything I guess. As for me, I'm part of Kargat. We're policemen of sorts, only for the big or weird crimes, ye ken. In this case, my orders come from the king hisself, and when that's the case, I know better than to ask the whys. As for the men, those that need to know, do. The others know that I work for Kargat, and that better be enough for them." Digesting the information for a few moments, the vampire continues. "You said that you want to go home. Is that why you're headed to that blasted wasteland and will you be coming back to Darkon when you're done there?"

Helena sighed and trotted a little farther ahead of the caravan, not wanting to be overheard, motioning for her new frenemy to follow. "I said I'd answering anything you asked honestly, so I suppose I'll honour my word. No, I'm headed to the wastes to retrieve components to give me more control over my own emotions. They're a little unstable. That face you've seen me where, those blue flames, they're not natural to us. When my own anger gets out of hand, that happens, and I lose the ability to tell friends and enemies apart and that emotion becomes as all consuming a hunger as my lust does. I'm going to the Amber Wastes to get something for an enchantment to this collar" She said gesturing. "That will stop that from happening before I really hurt someone. The man doing the work is in Darkon, so I have to return. It's why this trip is important enough for me to tell 100 armed men and a vampire at night that I wont cooperate."

Helena paused for a moment before glancing at the Vampire. "So now You owe me an answer I suppose. You work for the king, as a kind of police force for the strange and unusual. Alright, do you have a name?"

The vampire chuckles. "Name's Charlie. Nice to meetcha. Oh, I was asked to hand you this." Charlie reaches inside his jacket and pulls out an envelope, handing it to Helena. "Tell you what, if we meet again, the drinks will be on me. Good bye."

Charlie pulls the reins of his horse, letting Helena and the caravan pass by. The envelope contains a simple piece of paper.

"Helena,

Should you choose to stay in my domain for long, I extend you the invitation to visit me at Castle Avernus.

Azalin Rex"

Besides the name, there's a seal reminiscent of a skull surrounded by runes.

Helena took the envelope. "You as well Charlie, shame our first meetings didn't go this well. Take care." Helena said as he left, reigning her own horse back to the caravan and pondering the invitation. *Cindy, Willow, Does the name Azalin Rex mean anything to you two?* She asked, showing them the seal with her mind.

Willow's eyes widen as Helena mentions the name. *He's the king. I don't know if that's his seal, though. He's also thought to be immortal.*

The caravan continues on for a little longer until Serane spots a nice opening and directs the horses towards it, preparing to settle for the night.

*So he's actually the king. Thank you Willow, as always.* Helena answered, continuing on as she thought. She would of course accept the invitation upon her return. Another potential ally? Who knew. However, her job took precedence now, and as Serane signalled a stop for the night, she approached the Lamia. "I'm so sorry for that, But I swear, it's sorted now, they wont bother us again." She said in way of apology to their host who she was quite grateful to. Immediately helping with breaking down for the night, Helena oversaw the cooking of dinner personally for everyone, before walking into the center of everyone and gesturing them together. And then, without warning, Helena broke into song, and this time, it was something else entirely. It was not music, or words, but Helena pouring her actual heart and soul into the lyrics as her voice rose into the night. It was strange for her, but tonight, her voice was strong, a strange a lilting harmony with the moonlight and the shadows, a song to remind everyone of those lost and forgotten, a memorial to friends long gone, and a tribute to everyone that had helped her this far, and Helena gave it everything she had.

The dinner goes on peacefully until Helena's clear voice fills the air, silencing everything else as she radiates emotion to all around her, causing everyone to just stop what they were doing and stare at her.

The song continues, tearing through the night as Helena's inner heart carried through her voice, the longing call of the Siren in the night as everything around her radiated how she really felt about everything, about her friends and the light and warmth they provided within a dark and forgotten place. It was several minutes before the song came to it's end, Helena's voice far too busy to allow any kind of dance to accompany it, and indeed, she felt it would only cheapen the effort that was suddenly pouring from her.

Finally finishing her song, She lowered her eyes and quietly thanked everyone for listening, before taking her own meal and moving to sit with her friends, eating slowly and not really meeting anyone's gaze.

As Helena finishes her song, the conversation and eating resumes, though at far lower volume. To her left, she spots Jasmine having a whispered conversation with Serane, though why this stands out, she's not sure.

Helena sitting and eating, notices that Jasmine and Serane are talking and although this stood out to her, she didn't really know why. Reaching out to Jasmine, she prodded at her, going back to her usual self after a few moments, although she was still blushing that she had actually sung like that in front of everyone. *What are you plotting Sister Dear...*

*Not a thing, sister dearest. Serane just needs some fashion advice.* Jasmine answers immediately, giving no outward sign of noticing Helena, although she has Serane blushing now.

Helena snickered, now back to her old self completely. *Riiight... A Lamia, needing fashion advice. Keep your secrets you trickster* Helena sent with a mental chuckle before finishing her meal and stretching, cleaning up after herself before relaxing near the fire, making the decision to sleep with Serane again for the night since they seemed to get along rather well.
