Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

After a couple hours of fun, a servant knocks on the door. The cat is still nearby, apparently sleeping.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Hearing the knock, Helena leaned down, feeling much better. One Moment! she called, undoing the gag and blindfold, leaning in to kiss Cindy heavily, before whispering into her ear. Thank you. Really. before undoing her mitts and chains so she could move, and helping her to her feet.

I'll ask next time.. Unless you don't really want me to~ she continued, grinning coyly at Cindy and giving her a chance to make herself decent or at least leave the room in her current state before anyone saw her like that. The girl was prideful, Helena didn't want to hurt her like that.

Once Cindy was on her way, she moved back to her chair. Come in! I'm Decent! she called loudly.

Cindy slinks into her own bedroom before the servant - an old, graying man, this time - opens the door, giving Helena a measured bow that deems Helena his superior, if barely. "The king wishes to see you, Mistress Helena. Follow me, please."

Helena smiles at the bow, before returning one of her own. Please next time, you can regard me as an equal. I'm here to serve as well, just in a different capacity. she said smoothly, moving immediately to follow him. And of course. Please show me the way, I don't quite know my way around. she continued, gesturing politely for him to lead.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The servant leads Helena up and up again, into a large tower room that's much more subdued than the throne room was. Azalin is here, this time without his crown, lounging in a comfortable chair while leafing through a book that has an embossing of a demons head on the cover. "Ah, Helena. Sit down." Azalin makes an idle gesture to another chair nearby, not raising his eyes from the book. "How was your little side trip?"

Helena had thank all the gods remembered her collar, fishing it out and spinning it in her hands as she sat down. I had some fun. Never seen black elves before. Very interesting people, very talented leatherworkers it seems. she said, lounging as she regarded the worked silver. But it's nice to meet you in person Azalin. I'm here to make good on our agreement. she finished, regarding him before asking her question.

But something strange happened on my trip. When I went to get the object the whole trip was for... well, things were strange. Maybe you could tell me if it was tampered with? It's to help me control my temper, and while it might be rude? I don't want to blow up here or on a job, Anywhere really. Burned down an Inn last time... Over a slight. she said, holding up the collar.

Azalin merely glances at the trinket before replying. "Hmm. The enchantment is rather crude, but it seems to work as intended." He turns another page on the book. "You know, Van Richten really was a most fascinating person before even, I think, the curse. If only I had noticed his talent before his son died... ah, but then he was merely an unremarkable doctor even to my eyes. Still, even working for such a hopeless cause, he did manage to discover some remarkable secrets, such as The Mandrigorian, even if his untrained eyes couldn't truly comprehend the arcane secrets it contained."

Helena sighed with relief, before snapping the collar around her neck and fitting it's lock into place. Safe. Van Richten? Sorry I haven't heard the name before. But I'll admit the cover has me intrigued. Helena said, savoring the feel of the heavy piece on her neck.

And Mandrigorian? Haven't the slightest clue. But I suppose if I tried to explain a Car, you'd be in a similar situation. she joked, leaning back and relaxing. Is it something I'll be retrieving for you?

Azalin smiles and snaps the book shut before tossing it to Helena. It is titled Van Richten's Guide to the Fiends "Indeed it is. Not much is known, but the book has, I think, the most complete description you'll find as well as many clues as to its whereabouts. Even if the lore on your kind is somewhat lacking due to the difficulty of accessing such information on this world. This is a most difficult task, as I'm sure you understand. However, I'm most interested in the volumes containing plans for the ship."

Ship? Wait... Ok then. need to read the book, gotcha. She said, catching the book and turning it over in her hands. And it is huh. Well... Much as I love talking about myself. Girl has to have some secrets, comes with the gender, though if I find something in here that's say... Flat out incorrect? I'll correct the information for you. she muttered, musing over it.

And Difficult huh? Mind if I borrow Charlie then? You can keep a good eye on me, I can have some dependable backup and another pair of eyes. she asked, not moving to leave until she was told to.

"How considerate of you. I was informed that you don't actually like vampires very much." Azalin replies, tilting his head slightly as he, for the first time since she entered, looks at Helena, his piercing eyes locking on hers.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

I don't. I lost a friend to one, first time I ever met one. Charlie though...He had more then a few chances to do much worse then he did. Other ways to force me to come in. Instead he listened to me, really listened to what I had to say. I trust him, more then I would someone else. And it's not considerate, it's pragmatic. Why send a person to follow me when I'll willingly bring someone. You wont trust my companions, but you will trust one of your own yes? she said, opting for the truth as her eyes met his evenly. Though that gaze made her breath catch.

It benefits me as well, in several ways. Charlie will let me operate in other circles with his influence, at least in darkon, and seeing what I have, probably outside of it to a degree. The support would be nice. she finished, not dropping her gaze.

"Unfortunately, Charlie is unavailable at the time. But I'll be sure to send him after you if you leave before he arrives." Azalin says. "Meanwhile, I'm sure familiarizing yourself with Van Richten's work will occupy your time."

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Sure thing. Is there anything else you need then? You seem a fair bit more stressed then when you met me on the ship. She asked, and commented, moving to stand if she was dismissed, and indeed, leaving if allowed. He was starting to scare her a little.

If allowed to leave, she'd follow the green lines back to her room, the book in her hands.

"Not at the moment. I'm sure you'll make yourself available if I have further need for your company." Azalin replies, dismissing Helena with a wave of his hand.

In the guest rooms, Helena finds Cindy and Willow enjoying a lunch.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Please understand me Azalin. You scare me, we have an arrangement. As long as you hold to it, I will as well, without question. But as a personal request, because it irks me. Please dismiss me with a command, the hand gesture... It's very demeaning. Helena said in parting, as politely and quietly as she could, bowing before stepping out of the door and heading back to her room.

Once there, Helena would spot Willow and Cindy, and head over to kiss Cindy on the cheek for earlier, and then to sit next to Willow, leaning her head onto her shoulder and sighing. That man is terrifying.... Absolutely Terrifying. she muttered, letting the hidden strain of the meeting bleed out of her with a heavy sigh, before plopping the book on the table, and flipping through it to find the page on Succubi, curious.

"Poor demon." Willow replies, leaning her head on Helena's and wrapping an arm over her shoulder. "So what are you going to be doing?"

I'm going after something called the Mandrigorian. Need to do my homework before I leave. But first I want to see how wrong this book is about succubi. she said, hugging Willow back before finding the page and sitting up to read it.

"Have fun with that.As Helena digs into the good old doctor's words, Willow and Cindy continue eating their lunch - sausages chopped into sauce with baked potatoes, in this case.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena becomes annoyed when she can't find mention of any specific fiends, certainly not succubi, which meant a brunt of her abilities may be complete secrets, but there were more broad subjects about things all fiends shared that she drank in, chuckling at some.

Once she'd determined there was something to learn though, she moved on to reading on the Mandrigoria because she'd need to find the fucking thing. Meanwhile she wasn't above teasing Willow, who she'd missed quite a bit, a thin tendril wriggling into her clothing from behind her chair, stroking along her back.

Your cat was nice to me today. Why? she asked curiously.
