Did you make sure you have the Japanese RTP (run time package) for Rpg Maker VX?

I am very sorry that I can't seem to make this work. I have tried everything to get it to work on my new(isn) Win8 system, but nothing works. I am in native japanese (both region and language), have tried every font, have downloaded and extracted every file I can find, from the demo through all translations, but can never get past the audio file problem at the start. Does anyone have a working audio folder they can zip and send? None of my extractions seem to work...

I have wanted to play this for a while and have heard nothing but good things about it, but am frustrated right now...

Download the trial from dlsite and copy the audio folder from trial to your full game folder.

guys, I need some help again. Saki is like since the beginning of this game pregnant and nothing new shows up, nothing changes and she doesn't give birth.
please tell me it's not a bug and I'm missing something

There's a computer in Saki's house or the infirmary that you can use to increase the speed of time. iirc it took ~20 fights before Saki was ready to pop even on the fastest setting.

the faster way is to go to the infirmary, and sleep alternating the beds, takes 8 or so to get a big belly, and another 3 to give birth

this game is a piece of cake... flame 2 dealing MAX HP% damage if it burns (and it burns everything) is completely broken. no point in losing for the skills XD.

Downloading from the yellow button gives me (after extraction) two .exes that neither one will open (windows error). I have also installed every japanese version of RTP (XP, VX, VX Ace). Nothing works. I cannot get the audio files to work, so I guess this gan=me is broken for new Win8 machines...

It does work on Win8 machines - mine is Win8. I would upload (just tried) but files to large for my upload speed - forum gave me error halfway through.

I was able to take pics of audio sub directories and create an html playlist that you can copy filenames from - attached.

I have question actually, how do we figure out what her lewdness is? Unless it's the lust part.

Edit - I'm also kiiind of looking at SGEdit to raise the lewdness but unforuntely I'm not seeing where I could raise it and there are just a lot of ??? on some stuff.

Lust is modified by the Spirit Plus stat in the player tab in SGEdit

Thanks for your help, but everything I try just seems to make it worse. I have played Virgin Island, I Came to Buy a Few Herbs, Sacred Eyes, Orc Strike, etc but I can't make this one work. I have the right files but they don't show as Katakana (or Kirigana) like the pics you showed - they come out like Éãà⁄ìÆâπ3.wav. Doesn't matter what settings I have when I download, extract, run, etc. I think I will have to stick to either native English or fully translated RPGs from now on - this has been too frustrating (some 8+ hours just trying to get it to start...)

There are many settings for region and language. The only one that matters is the locale.

If you played those games with no trouble on the same PC then you should be able to play this game. Try running one of them again. If it works and Saki Quest does not then your Saki Quest is corrupted.

If they (Virgin Island etc) do not work or you played those on a different PC, use this guide to download and install Japanese language pack.

See attached pics for my system settings (I am on Win8.1 though I don't think settings changed when I upgraded.) Note the Region Administrative tab. That is how I keep them all the time and I no problems with any RPGMaker or Wolf RPG games. Can't speak for ALL other Japanese software but suspect most if not all will work.

True, but the prerequisite for that is to have the Japanese language pack installed.

I'll be damned - this is the first game I had to go to this length to get, but it works. Thank you. Funny that I've played Parallel Fantasy, Vitamin Quest, Bounty Hunter, etc. but this one was the first that required all this...thanks to all who helped...

AFAIK, he is alive. He stated that he was working on another but gave no details. Apparently he was so harassed by fans while doing this one that he decided not to blog at all until he has finished product.

But it has been a long time. He may have decided to do other things. Or he may have died.

The weird part is there's been no comments on the board since about 2 years ago. Not even asking for a progress update, which you'd imagine after 2 years SOMEONE would have. So either he has the most patient fans in the world or they know something we don't.

There was a comment on his dlsite blog of around may last year, and I know there was a little activity on a BBS about people asking him about planned features for the last game...

So yeah, no updates from him for at least around a year, I just hope the guy is okay . It also wouldn't hurt if he was in the process of making another game.

Anyone who is fluent in Japanese want to send him a ping of support on our behalf, lol?
