Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Heading out? Alright, do what you have to. I'll be waiting." Rachaela told Adelle as the latter prepared to head out, the three of them being less rapid in their breakfast munching. After collecting her stuff and saying goodbye to the critters in storage, the busty girl headed out to manage her life's various aspects, which happened to include guns and houses at the moment.

At the gunstore, Adelle found the same lady that she had seen yesterday to be there again. Besides her, it was relatively quiet early in the day, only a few others looking about at the merchandise and pondering options.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Aye, I'll be back as soon as I can and hopefully we can finish what was started night before last," Adelle said before heading on out, fixing her coat around her before walking out the door.

Once she was at the gun store, Adelle saw the lady from the day before there again while she headed up to the counter to speak with the old guy again. Other than her it seemed there weren't too many people here yet today, though it was early in the morning and he must have just opened up not too long ago. Once she got up to the counter, Adelle would set both the assault rifle and submachine gun up onto the counter and smile over at him. "Well I'm back for those attachments, could need them later for a job, not sure yet. So I figured I'd go ahead and grab them if I could," Adelle said to the old Santa looking guy after setting her guns down on the counter in front of him.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Eventually the girl before her left, allowing Adelle to step and start with her business. The owner had not forgotten what they had talked about the day before, and had produced most of the things that would be going out with the girl already as she was on the counter. As he had done previously, the man performed the needed operations flawlessly, the relatively uncommon submachine gun giving him no problems at all as he attached a somewhat odd-looking piece of kit on the underside of it. The calibrations that he did afterwards revealed that it was a combined design of both a light and a laser dot, which could be used interchangeably. The assault rifle went much more routinely, the most common rifle in the world being the bread and butter of this man. The sight system looked to be nice, though the man admitted that it was no night vision. "Thought I had one of those in store, but it looks like I did not remember right..." he admitted to a professional failing, one that could be explained by age though as he was most likely over sixty years old and did not seem to have any real assistants besides the huge gorilla guards that leered at the customers in their guard spots. And those guys did not appear to be ones for any book-keeping jobs.

Adelle watched the old guy tend to her weaponry curiously, figuring she'd watch him attach it all in case she needed to remove anything herself to repair or clean it later. She liked the flashlight/laser sight attachment he put onto her submachine gun, thinking it would come in handy down in those sewers again if they had any more jobs that took them down that way. When he got the assault rifle fixed up and mentioned not having a nightvision sight, Adelle just shrugged her shoulders. "Aw well can't win them all I guess. So what all am I gonna be able to get on this baby then?" Adelle told him, letting him know there were no hard feelings from her about it and trying to find out what all she'd be able to get put onto it instead of that.

After that was all done and ready to go, Adelle would head on to find Kozlov at the bar with her submachine gun put back into her backpack while her assault rifle was slung over her shoulder to hopefully ward off any would be attackers from her. Once she made her way to the bar after leaving the gun store she'd look around for the big guy and head over to his table or to the bar if that's where he was.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

While he might have not necessarily been expecting it, the owner did have an alternative to add into the pot. Going to the shelves briefly, he placed a definately useful item onto the table after he retrieved it. "That should make it up, holds 75 shots, not easy to run out unless you just hit the fun switch and pull the trigger down for ten seconds." he told the capacity of the drum mag that was presented to Adelle.

Going to the bar was not dangerous during the day, the weapons on Adelle doing the job to keep whatever intelligent life forms might have been thinking about having a go at her away, if there even were any. Only at the bar did something come flying at her, but it was not probably meant as an attack as the person that landed near her feet had crashed through the doors before ending there. It was a mostly average-looking guy with dark hair, one with something that might be a jetpack or booster on his back, along with some other equipment. The most prominent ones were a well-worn baseball bat and a semi-auto pistol. He clearly did not have the opportunity to use them at the situation he was in, and the female bouncer Mei soon emerged from the doors as well, looking mighty pissed instead of being blissfully asleep. "Jet, you psycho motherfucker! One beating did not teach you enough? Attack her one more time like that and we'll make it so you never come back here again." she flared at the hunter, who had apparently still gone hostile on Shiulin.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

The old guy's alternative to her night vision red-dot sight was to Adelle almost better, because when she saw the drum magazine her eyes lit up with fireworks and it would be easy for him to see that she was was happy with this alternative. If she had the ability to shapeshift then the irises of her eyes would be star shaped that's how happy and excited she was now. "A drum mag... it's... it's so beautiful. When you get one of those switchable night vision sights in again though, can you try to hold onto it until I get to have a look at it please? If I have the money to spare at that time I'm definitely getting it alright. Or some night vision goggles perhaps, maybe I'll get some of them later instead or something," Adelle told the old guy in an almost dreamy voice as she beheld the drum magazine and watched him fix it up onto her weapon.

...

Once she was on her way to the bar and all, Adelle was whistling happily, feeling like today was going to be a good day despite what she and Rachaela were going to do with Priscilla later and that it could go wrong in any sense of the word. When she arrived there at the bar, Adelle was met with a man crashing through the doors and landing at her feet, obviously having been thrown out of there. Looking down at the guy she took in what he looked like as the one bouncer girl Mei came forth from the bar, this being the first time Adelle believed she'd seen her awake in fact.

Adelle decided that this was none of her business and headed for the door, skirting around Mei and heading on inside to find Kozlov, not wanting to interfere in something that didn't concern her. Besides this was apparently the guy that had attacked Shiulin, which in her opinion the woman may have deserved it the first time, but continued attacks on her Adelle thought was a bit stupid really, as this was where they got their jobs and whatnot, so it wasn't a good idea to attack one of the bosses, no matter how uncaring and how much of a bitch she might be.

Once inside, Adelle looked around for Kozlov and went over to his table. "Hey there big guy. You doing alright this morning? I'm ready when you are," Adelle told Kozlov when she found him, sitting down at his table with him.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

While she looked pretty pissed, Adelle's approach caused a lightning-fast mood shift in Mei, who went into the best professional smile she could and bowed at her. It was a huge contrast to say the least. "Welcome, welcome! Please enjoy yourself." the bouncer told her, the other one looking on from the door. As Adelle passed, he nodded her in without any issues, the sound of Mei's voice continuing on as she laid further verbal beating onto Jet after the busty girl had gone inside.

Finding Kozlov was easy as he was sitting at the exact same place he had been at yesterday. "Hey hey, not much different from yesterday. We can leave soon." the man told her, giving enough time to prepare as he was in the middle of eating a large sandwich. Eventually the food was dealt with however, and the pair could leave whenever.

Smiling over at Mei, Adelle nodded to her as she went on inside. "Aye I'll do my best," Adelle told the bouncer girl politely as she passed by her, nodding to the other bouncer as she went past him too, unable to suppress a giggle after getting inside at the girl's words to Jet.

"Sure thing, I'm ready when you are really. Just say the word when you wanna go and we can," Adelle told Kozlov after finding and sitting with him, watching him devour a large sandwich that she was sure she herself couldn't tackle without gaining another cup size for her breasts, which were still growing in any case so she'd like to avoid eating much that would fatten them up more even quicker. "I take it Jet tried to hit Shiulin again? I saw Mei toss him out right as I was coming in," Adelle asked Kozlov to pass the time while he ate.

Once he was ready to go on, Adelle would nod and get up to follow him out, feeling giddy about seeing this place of his. "Where is the place by the way? Is it very far from the bar?" Adelle would ask him along the way, curious about where the house was exactly.

The eating of the sandwich went along fast, but it did not stop Kozlov from speaking between bites. "Yes, he went and slapped her again for some reason while Samson was at toilet and the two of them were handling mission specifics. It did not go on for long, as Mei had eye on Jet for the entire time he had been here today."

Once the two made their way out, Jet had already fled from the scene and Mei had returned to her seat in the corner, blissfully asleep in a heartbeat. "It is not too far away, middle of city and west. I think I saw one of your friends pass by frequently, maybe they live somewhere nearby." the Russian man explained, not really telling who it had been but the location eventually came to them and Adelle could indeed see that she might be able to draw a geographical line on a map from Lacri's former church home to Mariela's place and the house she was looking at would end up somewhere in the middle of that line. It looked like Kozlov had lived a bit more modestly than his ranking would suggest, but the home he had used still looked better than some apartment or shabby house. It was an actual establishment that had been taken care of, and appeared to have features that Adelle was looking for. "The second floor is living quarters, the first floor is more aimed at storage and vehicle. I used to have my Defender in there." the man told her as he let the girl have looks from the outside. The neighbors would not be right at the door as there was some space and a tall fence on both sides of the property.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Figures he'd do something like that. He seems like the type to hold a grudge and might come back to try something to her one night or something, so she ought to keep an eye out I think. I mean she seems like a bit of a snobbish type to me, and she... well I hate to say it like this but she seemed a bit like she didn't care too much what might have happened to me the other day when I took care of those ropers, but I still don't think that's a reason to hit her unless she was just outright being a bitch. Even still though I'd just tell Samson about it," Adelle said while Kozlov finished up with his sandwich, looking deep in thought as she remembered the fighting she'd done the other day against those things.

...

"Oh well that's good, it was probably Isabella or Mariela then, maybe Lacri too because she lives not too far over that way, but Rachaela lives in the richer district of the city and I just came from there since I've been staying with her the last few days, so I know pretty much where she lives now right off the top of my head," Adelle replied as they walked.

When they arrived, Adelle faintly remembered where Mariela lived at and the church like building Lacri lived in and figured that this place was somewhere in between the two, though it was hard to tell who's place was the closer of the two. Adelle nodded her head as he explained what the house was like inside while she looked around the yard and whatnot. "Aye, sounds pretty good to me, and the place looks pretty nice really, you really took care of it. Though there's no guarantee I'll be able to buy the place outright from you unfortunately, as I don't have quite that much money on me really... well at least not right now. Depends on how much you want for it really I guess. And I can put my bike in here too, so that's good, because I really didn't want it taking up space at Rachaela's," Adelle said as she continued looking around, peering around the sides of the house and whatnot before heading up to the door to see the interior of the place.

"By chance do you have a cellar or basement or whatnot under the first floor? Would be nice to have those to put things in that I'd like to keep in a dark dank place. Also what sorts of locking devices do you have on the doors? Wouldn't be good if someone could just pop right in while I'm in the middle of changing my clothes or something," Adelle asked as they went inside for her to have a look around within. Adelle would have a look around at the first floor to start out, and then the basement or cellar if the place had one, and then she'd check out the second floor and all the rooms up there.

(Well that's a cozy little place. :D)

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

(Ohgawd she's already planning a tentacle cave.)

"That is no problem, you can pay bits whenever you can. I don't need all that much income as I already have my jobs and my gathered wealth. What I want is for this house to remain in good condition, and passing it on to respectable new owner is the best thing I can come up with." Kozlov alleviated any possible doubts that might still be floating around in Adelle's head. The man took her inside, showing the garage and the associated smaller storeroom on the same floor that had been split up from the vehicle storage with an inner wall. There was a trapdoor in the storage as well, the portal leading down to another storage floor below the first one that was pretty much the basement that Adelle had asked for, one that was as big as the first floor. There were a few barrels in there, the containers holding something within them apparently. "Gherkin, pickled cucumbers. Delicacy of motherland." Kozlov revealed the contents without there being need to ask for it. Besides the three barrels, the basement was barren and would house whatever things might be put there. The locks on the doors were key deals, though there was a definate quality to be seen in them, and all the doors leading outside had a few automatic latches on them as well. The things were not powered at the moment, so they did not activate.

Taking the stairs in the garage would take the two up into the living quarters. Again, the size of the floor was the same as the ones below, though it was split into a few different areas. There was a bathroom with a bath and shower, a bedroom that actually had a double bed inside, a small clothing room and a combined living room/kitchen. Most of the places had furniture, the living room even having something that Adelle had not seen yet in the city, a TV. Of course there was a couch and a couch table where one could take programs in.

(Aye she is. :D)

"Oh I'll definitely take care of the place Koz, have no worries about that. How much were you wanting for the place? I'm kinda glad that you see me as respectable though," Adelle said as she was led inside to explore the interior of the house.

Looking around inside, Adelle found that there was a basement like area underneath the garage portion of the first floor, which would be a good place to store her little critters after she got a pen like area to keep them in. Spotting the barrels in there, Adelle glanced over at Kozlov before he told her what was in the barrels, though she hadn't been going to ask him about it until later really. "Ah, so you're leaving these here then? Not that I mind or anything, just wondering if you didn't want them or something for some reason," Adelle asked about the stuff in the barrels as she took a look around the mostly bare basement room, which she saw was quite big, more than enough to make herself a little den of sorts for her little critters which was good.

Heading upstairs, Adelle saw what the living area looked like and was quite impressed to say the least, especially that there was a television in there which was pretty much the first time she'd seen one in the city, as even Rachaela hadn't had one from what she could tell. "Wow, this place is awesome. You've even got a television in here. That's the first one I've seen in this city honestly," Adelle said giddily as she saw the TV, moving over to look at it.

('.')

The sum that Kozlov was asking would take a while to get together, but then again, Adelle had just been given the option to pay up bits when she could so it would allow her to maintain her finances without any sudden broke periods. It was mostly just the matter if she really wanted to get this house or not. The barrels were going to be taken away, though Kozlov did give the busty girl a choice if she wanted to keep one of them and the contained foodstuff as the man did not seem to be too concerned about them.

"Well yes, even if the programming is pretty shallow and limited in this current age. But I did spend evenings looking at the thing regardless." the man spoke up about the TV, which was about 40 inches in size if Adelle's estimate did not fly off the wall completely.

"Hmm, I've never really tried pickled cucumbers honestly, so sure I'll keep one of those if you don't mind much, as I'm not overly picky about food. But... I'm finding myself liking the place honestly Koz because it's got everything I'd need, so I think I'm wanting to take the place. How much do you want then for the place?" Adelle said, telling Kozlov she'd keep one of the barrels of the pickled cucumbers to eat as she admired the TV set. "Anything I should know about the neighbors by chance? Or about any bad seeds in this area of town? Also does the place not have power right now?" Adelle then asked curiously as she looked back to Kozlov from the TV.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

(Don't make me think up an exact number dammit. Not a real estate agent or something '.')

"The other people around here appear to be more interested in their own lives than anything that happens over fence, so they keep to themselves. Relatively quiet folks. The only one from here who I know is Boris, who lives next door on the left side. He was with me yesterday, remember him? He is another hunter. He is good man, but I can't tell how the others are. They never did not give me any hassle, at least. Not all that many criminals around either." Kozlov admitted that he didn't really know much about the other people living nearby. The power thing was answered quickly, the fuse box of the house being there in the second floor, near the door. "Of course power is on, the security set-up is off, that's all." he said, showing that the switch labeled Security was indeed up to suggest that the automated latches and other similar devices were not operating. The TV had a red light on it to suggest that it was at standby, and the fridge and microwave had their respective lights and time displays on as well.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

(Wasn't trying to make you come up with anything specific unless you wanted to, I figured we could just have them decide off screen and then leave it at that myself, and all you'd need to decide was how many times she'd need to pay him or something.)

"Oh he lives next door? I just assumed it was someone you worked with from time to time that you knew only over at the bar or something. I suppose I'll have to meet him properly then since I'm gonna take the place. And just as long as there's nobody in particular that I really need to keep an eye on that might try and break in around here then that's fine, I'm sure I'll manage in that case. Having another hunter nearby though is something that I like the idea of, because I've noticed that we help each other out a lot," Adelle told Kozlov as he showed her where the fuse box was at near the door on the second floor, which was good she thought. "Oh I see now. So there anything special about how these locks work then? So I don't lock myself out to the point I can't get back in I mean, since I've decided I like the place and all now," Adelle added, looking around at the different appliances before heading back down to look at the locks and whatnot so he could explain how they all worked.

"I think once I figure these out, I'll be able to head back to Rachaela's for the night and come back tomorrow with my stuff and start moving on in since we've got some stuff to do today and all pretty much as soon as I leave here. So hopefully I'll be able to take the time to move on in then and make it an off day or something for myself with any luck," Adelle went on to say after as they went on back downstairs for her to learn how the locks all worked and whatnot.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"They did think about that when I had the latches set up. The key has a sensor in it, and the whole house is set up with a scanner that looks out for that sensor's signal all the time. They won't actually lock unless key signal is out from the area of detection. Also, the key and the system both need to be on in order for any of this to happen." Kozlov told Adelle and showed her the key, which looked like a car key somewhat, having a thick end with a button to switch the signal on and off. "The battery on the key is long-life, but you need to change it sometime." he said as he proceeded to open the end of the key and showed the button-like flat battery inside the key. To further demonstrate, the two went downstairs after Kozlov switched the security on and stepped out, which resulted in the latches going off. Once the key was used, they snapped back into ready position. Then the man tossed the key inside the first floor and shut the door again, but this time there was no sound of the system activating the latches. "See? It is pretty handy. Just remember to take key with you when you go out."

"Oooooh, nifty key. So I can unlock the place with a push of the button on there eh. So how far can the signal carry? Like a hundred feet from the doors, or more, or less? I suppose it'd be good to know what sort of battery it takes too so I can always carry one with me just in case. You never know with my luck when the battery in there will die or something," Adelle said as she watched Kozlov fiddle with the key for a minute.

When Kozlov demonstrated how the keys worked, Adelle watched curiously and followed him out unless she wasn't supposed to that is. Once he was ready to head on, Adelle looked back up at the big guy and couldn't help herself as she hugged him, which caused her large breasts to squish against his muscled chest. "Oh thank you Koz, I've always dreamed of having my own place. I'll take good care of it for you, I promise. I suppose I should get the key before I go though, so I can get back in when I come back tomorrow. Thank you again so much Koz," Adelle said after hugging Kozlov, not even realizing that her breasts had squished against him like they had.

After that, Adelle would grab the key and take it with her as she headed back to Rachaela's house to meet up with her to head on to find Priscilla. Adelle would store the key in her pack that she left at Rachaela's place so she didn't risk taking it with her and breaking the thing, while taking her assault rifle and putting it away as well, unloading the thing and clicking the safety on so Clara didn't perhaps try to play with it. Though Adelle would take her submachine gun with her this time, figuring that since her pistol didn't do the job last time on the bastard that was using Clara's friends and controlling them, then maybe something with a bit more power would have better luck, and if need be she could riddle the bastard with an entire clip from the thing. Later on Adelle thought to invest in a silencer for either the assault rifle or the sub machine gun... and probably for one of her pistols too just in case. When she was ready and geared up the way she wanted, Adelle would let Rachaela know so they could head on out whenever the smaller girl was ready.

"The sensor reading is pinpointed at the door. Take the key out from the house by few inches and the latches will activate. But remember, you still need to open to primary lock with the key, the latches are just additional measures." the man explained as he was hugged. The two split up, Kozlov telling Adelle that he would come over tomorrow to get his barrels from the basement with his car.

Going back to Rachaela's was pretty uneventful, the light time of day keeping all the bad seeds hidden in their places. The mage herself had no need to prepare, having basically been on standby for a while now as she had no things to do while in the house at the moment. It was mostly just the small things that Adelle had that delayed their departure. Once she was done, the two could leave, and that was exactly what they did.

Once the pair got into the spot that they had agreed to see Priscilla at, the girls found a surprise waiting for them. Instead of the huge lady being there and waiting for them, there was a whole bunch of kids, most likely homeless ones and the exact group they had been thinking about to go look for.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"M'kay Koz, that sounds good, wouldn't be good for me to have to go like a hundred feet or more before it activates. So... this key opens both the main door locks and the latches both then?" Adelle replied to Kozlov after breaking their hug and after grabbing the key back and studying the thing.

Adelle would also tell Kozlov that she'd meet him back here to help him out the next day if she was able to and not hurt or anything from what her and Rachaela were going to do shortly. Then she'd bid farewell to the big guy and head on, locking the place up before leaving and making sure nobody could get in while they were gone.

...

Once back at Rachaela's and after getting prepared, Adelle grabbed her gear and got ready after seeing that Rachaela was ready herself. Ready to go, they went on to the place they were to meet the guy to take them to Priscilla so they could go on to rescue the children from the bastard that was mind controlling them. However when they arrived at the place they'd met Priscilla yesterday, they instead found the children they were going to go look for with no Priscilla to be seen. "Um... I don't like this Rachaela. It seems... too easy. And with no Priscilla here... well it spooks me a bit," Adelle said as they saw what awaited them, one hand on her pistol and the other on her sword as she got ready for anything just in case.
