Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Hmm... that is... unusual. She was not holding back anything... when we first met..." Lacrimosa pondered the encounter that was mentioned to her as they went.

Lacrimosa herself started wandering about the store as Adelle went over the possibilities that she had been presented with, even though the nun had no pets of any kind herself. When one knew what she did back home, it might have been cause for some concern, as who could know what kinds of ideas the various things present would give to the self-destructive sister's mind. The different kinds of fence were not out of her ability to buy at the moment, and she could even get a roll of both, but that would take practically all the money she had on her at the moment.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"I know, it's strange to me too. I honestly think that... well that she was trying to help me out. But maybe I'm wrong, guess I won't know until I can get her to talk to me one day," Adelle said while they rode.

...

At the store, Adelle finally found the prices for the rolls of fencing she'd been looking at whilst Lacri roamed about the store... even though she had no pets to get anything for there. Deciding that it would be best to keep the roper pods fenced in an area of the cellar instead of the squid things, she got one of the larger rolls of fencing and a fence door to fix onto the fence too that she would have a way in and out of the enclosed section of the cellar. Once she'd picked the fencing out and a fence door to go with it, Adelle looked around for any sorts of animal/pet foods that she could get, something that was good but not too messy that she could offer to her cat friend and or the other pets as well, grabbing a bit of that if she could find any.

"Well I've got what I came for. You need a lift elsewhere by chance? If so I'll need you to hold my stuff I got if you don't mind, or at least make sure it doesn't fall off the back of the bike. But I don't mind taking you anywhere you need to go," Adelle said to Lacri once she had all of the things she was getting there and once she'd found the nun. "Find anything you'd like to get by chance?" she then asked in a cheerful tone before preparing to leave and take her things back to her place, where she'd then take Lacri on to wherever she'd like to go after that, making the stop by her place good for 2 reasons, the first to drop the things off of course while the second was so that Lacri knew where she now lived.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

The door was easy to get as well, but attaching that would require some work as one needed to make a hole in the fence where it was to be attached. Foods were many and varied, ranging all levels of moistness and composition. It was only a question of whether she wanted a plant- or meat-based one, a dry or wet kind, or some kind of mix inbetween.

"I'm not in a hurry so... we can go around... But no, there is nothing for me to get... I honestly should not be looking either... The claws were prizey enough for a day's investment." Lacrimosa informed Adelle as the two came together again, nothing terrible in her possession as a mark of the tour she had taken. With everything said there, the pair made some efforts to get the items onto the bike and make it to the busty girl's house, which was more than a little haphazard but they could somehow pull it off without any sort of accident ruining it for them. And as luck would have it, they were soon at the doors of the home, which remained safely shut and secure but opened up again once Adelle used her key.

Looking at the animal foods, Adelle opted to get some meat flavored dry types of animal foods to cut down on the mess from it being eaten and possibly scattered all over the place. She'd also look for a pair of wire cutters for the fencing so she could fit the door onto it, but there weren't any there then she'd get some elsewhere.

"Oh Lacri, it's alright if you look for things that you might want. It doesn't make you a bad person to want things," Adelle said to Lacri, laying an arm around her shoulder as they went up for Adelle to pay for her things she'd gotten.

Leaving the store once she'd paid for her items, Adelle and Lacri slowly made their way back to Adelle's place, where she put the new items away in the garage for now and decided to fix them up later. "Okay, now that's taken care of. Anywhere you'd like to go now Lacri? Also, this is where I live now, it's pretty much right between where you and Mariela live," Adelle said, showing Lacri around while asking if she had anywhere she'd like to go and offering to take her to wherever.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

The store was equipped well enough to deal with the needs that Adelle had, making it possible to set up the things one had invested in with the tools section. More than one specific article required a little help from tools to set up, so there was a variety of them to be found in a separate section of the store.

After dropping the stuff off at the home, Adelle found that she might indeed have something to do with Lacrimosa. "Well... There is a place we could visit... though... I'd need to take a side trip to visit home as well..." the nun explained what she had in mind, not being too revealing about what kind of place it was that she had the desire to go into.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Glad she was able to find herself the wire cutters there as well without the need to stop anywhere else to find them, Adelle grabbed them too as she went to pay for everything. After getting it all back she set the roll of fencing up in the corner of the garage with the door there as well, while laying the wire cutters up on top of the fencing itself.

"Sure, I don't mind taking you there Lacri. Let's go," Adelle told the nun, hopping back on the bike after showing her around a little bit and patting the seat behind her for Lacri to climb aboard.

With that, Adelle headed for Lacri's place, liking the feel of the wind in her hair even if it caused it to get a bit tangled somewhat. "So where is it you want to go Lacri? I'll need to know if I'm gonna take you over there," Adelle asked curiously not long before they got to Lacri's place.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Don't worry about that... I'll guide us there." was all that Lacrimosa had to say about their destination as they headed to the stop at her home.

Once they reached the doors of the abandoned chapel, the nun hopped off, telling Adelle to wait for her as she had to do something inside. It took her a while, but eventually she came back, having changed clothes. The dress that even she usually wore almost anywhere in public had been switched out for one of her home time nun robes, though it had long slits on the sides of the skirt to enable more freedom of movement, and it had a little more tightness all around which caused the garment to fit a little better on Lacrimosa's body form. She had left the claws back at home, but the busty girl knew that weapons were not needed as long as the nun was concerned, the strength on her being very real and lethal when needed. She took the backseat on the bike once more, starting to give out directions which ended near a building a few blocks away from Liliana's. It was not all that far from public locations, but still had a certain secretive vibe about it as there appeared to be very little activity around the plain two-story building. Once they had parked, the nun asked that Adelle lock her bike and follow her. "Nobody will steal anything from it... so you can leave it here. Take whatever money you have on you also... you could earn some." she said as some other folks went by and entered into the building from behind the corner.

"Very well then, I'll wait here for you," Adelle replied to Lacri, waiting out front on the bike for her to return.

When Lacri came back, Adelle saw she'd changed her clothing and dropped off her new weapon that she acquired earlier at Raizan's. Once Lacri was on board again, Adelle drove off, letting her give out directions at each turn as she followed them to their new destination, where she found that it was near Liliana's. Parking at the place when they arrived, Adelle locked her bike up and grabbed her pack off the back, making sure she had everything before following Lacri's lead here as she knew the place.

"Alrighty, let's go then, lead the way. Is this place by chance a gambling house Lacri?" Adelle said, raising an eyebrow at Lacri's telling her to bring whatever money she had on her as well for she could earn some more.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"That is one thing you can do here... But it is more than simply that..." the nun told Adelle as the two of them went behind the corner as well, where a few steps down took them to a slightly lowered entrance into the building. Two tattooed dudes in sleeveless shirts were waiting for them on both sides of the double doors, a thing that gave further shady look into this place. But it was nothing more than a facade most likely as turned out to be welcoming enough, apparently knowing Lacrimosa as they came over to her as the two had taken the steps down, both guys giving her a quick friendly hug and a high five. "Heya Red, coming back for more once in a while." one of them said as they opened up the doors, a move that showed Adelle what they were heading into.

It appeared that they entered into one wide-open inside area, with a bar counter running around the perimeter of the entire hall. Both foods and drinks were to be had, and the crowd that was there had gathered around the center of the room, where she could see a chain link fence made into a large circular cage. Two guys were there, their fisticuffs revealing that it was a cagefighting arena of some sort, and quite popular too. The upper floor had been mostly demolished away and converted into a balcony that overlooked the cage and some of the lower area, allowing for more people to come and enjoy their time over there. The battle turned out to be pretty harsh as Adelle could see blood drops on the arena floor, and the guys who were currently in there were only further enforcing it as they hammered at each other with reckless abandon. And the smell of the place could not be avoided, being made from equal parts of alcohol, cigarettes, sweat, blood and fried meat. All in all, it appeared to be a pretty serious venue for both fighters and spectators to enjoy themselves. "Welcome to the Broken Clavicle." Lacrimosa introduced Adelle to the place.

"I see, alright then, let's see what this place is," Adelle said, following Lacri on around the corner.

Watching the two guys at the door come over and greet Lacri, Adelle raised an eyebrow after they opened the doors for them. Heading on inside, Adelle looked at the caged ring when it came into view, where everything fell into place and she'd figured out where they were. Adelle was figuring that Lacri had come to fight, most likely to get her rocks off since she was such a masochist and all, though to also make money. The fighting seemed to be more serious than the wrestling thing she'd done over at the biker's place, and this gave her the sense that this fighting was sometimes to the death probably.

"So... are you gonna fight too then Lacri? I'll definitely bet on you if you do, because you're the strongest fighter I know," Adelle said to Lacri when she introduced her to the place, looking around at everything and following Lacri's lead to wherever she decided to sit for the time being.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

(Darn it Adelle, such brutal honesty.)

"Yes... but I'll have to wait a bit... the fights are not really scheduled, and the combatants can pretty much come from the crowd if they want... I'll have to see that I get to someone who doesn't know me... that will be the best scenario... for you and me both..." the nun told Adelle about her plan as they went to the sidelines for now, sitting down at a table as the somewhat sinister undertone of Lacrimosa's words went across the busty girl's mind. It looked like something that she would not usually do, but there were things hidden in her mind that Adelle had not seen yet, and this might be one such new thing. It was almost as if the nun had turned into some sort of dangerous predator from her usual demeanor as they had come in and was now stalking for potential prey.

As they seated themselves, Adelle saw a few of the other people that passed them spend a few lines of speech time with Lacrimosa, most of them apparently being other fighters that she had fought with before, a particularly scar-faced lady among them coming in to give her a kiss to the cheek as well as a promise to make the nun look like she did when they battled again. Even with that promised threat, it looked like the two were friendly competitors and kept the brutality to the ring regardless of their feelings, the scars most likely being inflicted by Lacrimosa herself who could not gather such scars due to her enhanced regenerative systems. When the people had stopped coming, the nun showed Adelle the three-way screens on the middle of the table, touch screen devices that sported menus of the things that could be ordered as well as a separate screen for gambling. The current fighters were displayed in name, but the option for betting was locked as the match between them was already underway. A slot for inserting both bills and coins was present as well, which enabled people to do whatever they wanted from the table. It looked like the owner or owners had made a whole lot of considerations to make this place as palatable as it was, even with the brutalities going on in the arena.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"Heh, everyone else is too smart to try and fight you then I take it? I honestly wouldn't figure you to be a ring fighter like this myself Lacri. And you're obviously very good at it if nobody that knows you wishes to step into the ring with you," Adelle asked curiously as she looked around the place.

Adelled watched as several people came over to talk with Lacri a little, wondering just how many she'd beaten in the ring, then as the one girl with the scar on her face came over to them and spoke to her, Adelle thought that they seemed like good friends despite their apparent differences in the ring. After they were through coming over to see Lacrimosa, the nun showed her what the screen thing on the center of the table was for, where Adelle curiously raised an eyebrow.

"Hmm, is there a betting limit?" Adelle asked as she checked the current odds on the two in the ring at the moment, even though she couldn't bet on them she'd like to see just what their odds were.

Really other than that, Adelle would simply sit there with Lacri until that match was done, where she'd watch as the next fight was prepared and everything, hoping that it would be Lacri, as she could really use a sure bet on her friend, whom she knew would win virtually any fight she got into.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"I don't think you can bet all that much... the limit one can place on a single fight is a thousand bucks, I heard someone mention once. The payout works accoring to the total amount of bets and how much you personally put into it... I think." Lacrimosa explained what she knew about the betting system, apparently not all that familiar with it despite having spent a fair amount of time in this place. The odds were not displayed in any accurate details, only the total amount of bets and how much each fighter had gathered on themselves being the only things to be seen on the screen.

As soon as Adelle got through with taking in the information, a cheer erupted from the crowd surrounding the cage as an apparent conclusion had been reached in the current fight, a red rim appearing on the picture of the other fighter on the monitor signalling that that guy had won his bout. As soon as it happened, Lacrimosa took off from the table, heading near the cage to see what was going to happen next. Disappearing into the crowd, Adelle could not see her for a while, until the nun's face came into view on the table monitor with yet another combatant going against her, a young and maybe a little handsome dude. The guy was obviously new, a fresh-faced man who would most likely have a terrible wake-up to the reality of this place when he was pitted against the seriously powerful Lacrimosa.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

"I see, well I doubt I'd ever bet a whole thousand bucks, but I'm definitely going to make a bet or two while we're here," Adelle said, checking through the betting stuff on the thing on their table as Lacri explained what she knew of the betting thing. Once sh was done looking through the current information on the match that was going on, Adelle pressed the screen to exit that bit of it and saw the popup indicating the winner of the current fight, where she glanced over to see him in the ring. She saw Lacri get up and figured that she was heading out to find someone to fight her that was new enough there to not know her. After a couple of minutes of just looking around as she'd lost Lacri in the crowd, Adelle glanced back to the betting machine and saw Lacri's face pop up on it. Watching as her opponent's face showed up as well, Adelle knew that he was going to be in for a rude awakening as soon as the match started.

"Hmhm, well this ought to be interesting to say the least I think," Adelle murmured to herself as she saw the bets begin to be set on the match.

Adelle looked around for a waitress if there were any and would order a drink before waiting around on betting until some had already been placed before placing her own. Checking how much money she had in her pocket, Adelle figured that she had enough left to spare about a 50 dollar bet on Lacri, while still having enough left over in case she needed any, about a 100+ bucks at least even after buying that fencing earlier. Sliding 50 dollars into the slot for bills, Adelle made her bet on Lacri to win, looking around for any side types of bets or conditions on which Lacri could win like within the first minute or within the first round or whatnot. If there were no extra bets to be made, Adelle would just put the 50 dollars on Lacri to win.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

The situation on the betting was safe enough so Adelle could make her bet and still have some money left over. As she called for a waitress, the busty girl got a somewhat cold but still outwardly polite guidance to using the machine in front of her to issue orders of food and drink, the system handling all payment-related issues for her and sending the message forward to the staff on standby. As soon as the money had been deposited, one of the barkeeps moved to a screen of his own to confirm it and prepare the ordered beer. Once it was done, he had one of the waitresses bring it over, which ended the process without much need for anyone to go around. "The same method can be used to order food, the kitchen has all the same machines. Thank you." the waitress told her before going back to work on some other order. There were thirsty and hungry people all over the other tables, after all.

Once she put in her bet, Adelle had to make a choice for one participant, and as she chose Lacrimosa, a piece of paper printed out and dropped onto the tray of the machine. Looking over the thing revealed that it was a certificate to confirm her bet, as well as the one thing she could use to redeem her winnings if they indeed happened. Any of the machines accepted it, as did the two different payout stations on the floors. No official side bets were there, but it looked like some people were making them in small groups, mostly with small payouts amongst themselves.

The only decision remaining was to make up how she wanted to view the upcoming battle. There was of course a view on the screens, as well as a few additional big screens hanging from the ceiling, showing a bit less sharp image than one would see with their eyes. Then there was the possibility of going into the crowd and trying to get a spot to view the fight from nearby, in a more intimate type of view. If she elbowed enough, maybe Adelle could get right next to the cage, where she could see the battle quite close and personal.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Thanking the waitress for showing her how to do everything on the betting machine, Adelle made her order and afterwards her bet, watching the waitress bring her beer over to her as she got her receipt or ticket for her bet she'd placed. "Thank you miss, I may order a bite to eat in a few minutes," Adelle said to the waitress that brought her drink over to her, nodding politely as she went on about her work.

Taking the slip of paper that the machine gave her, Adelle slipped it down in between her breasts for safekeeping for the time being, though she was a bit disappointed that there were no side bets that one could make on the official betting, else she'd have bet that Lacri would win by way of knockout within the first couple of minutes or so. Looking at the crowd around the ring, Adelle thought it wiser to stay where she was seated, but she did want a better view though. Deciding against it, Adelle kicked her legs up on the table and leaned back to enjoy the view on the big screens while she sipped her beer, hoping that Lacri wouldn't disappoint her any, but if she did then she did, and Adelle wouldn't hold it against her any.

Just before the fight started though, Adelle checked in on the machine at her table with the kitchens to see what all they had to offer in the way of food, seeing if they had any hamburgers which she'd get for lunch and some fries to go with her beer.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Looking at the menu, Adelle saw that she had several options to pick from, burgers of different sizes and ingredients waiting for her to select one among them. The place might have been a cage fight club, but they still had the classics for the people who wanted them alongside their blood sport.

The start of the fight showed the completely different approach that each fighter had to this particular match. The man appeared to be a practitioner of muay thai, sporting nothing else on him besides shorts and a headband that was traditional to that martial art. Of course, being so sparsely clothed gave him some advantage, namely the lack of surface where one could get a grip on. Lacrimosa, on the other hand, had a full-sized robe with all the cloth one could want to grab onto. Even with the increased tightness, there was very little that it did to prevent the other party from getting a grip on her. The stances that the two used were equally reflective on this difference, the man using a strong and fight-worthy defensive boxing stance that gave him a degree of protection even when idle, while the nun had no stance at all, looking almost as if she was not even fighting with her arms hanging on the sides, not providing her any sort of defense against a sudden attack. This did not change as the fight started, most of the club knowing who was going to win, and the odds reflected this with the majority of the total betting pool going for Lacrimosa.

The two fighters started off with some circling and analyzing the opposition before approach. While she had shown no signs of defense at first, the initial clash had Lacrimosa go on the defensive as the man began to throw calculated and carefully timed straights at her. The nun, while she did actually defend, was not doing a terribly good job at it. Most of the shots that came at her did hit home, with more or less success. It did serve to push her back as the hits came in against mostly her body, not really managing to get in and hit her in the face. Soon, Lacrimosa was with her back against the cage, blows coming in fast as the man sought to get the victory quickly. Worse enough, the nun was not really putting up any resistance, letting herself get hit for the most part while doing her best to keep the incoming blows from hitting her head. The body shots were all a different matter entirely, and she took all of those in full force. While it was not easy to see, the knowledge that she had told Adelle that the ongoing beating was not all that it appeared to be, most likely being something that the nun was wanting to happen as she was probably getting a buttload of twisted enjoyment out from the hard blows that were rained on her body.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Seeing her choices of things to eat and to add on to those things, Adelle picked out the burger with cheese, lettuce, onions... and as an afterthought she decided to have ketchup added on as well, with an order of fries to go with it and some ketchup to go with those too. When her food came, Adelle would pay the waitress what was owed and would eat her lunch while enjoying the match, knowing that Lacri would probably love the incoming hits that would be coming her way.

Adelle sat there and watched as the match began, watching the two circle one another a few times before they clashed, where Lacri was put on the defensive. The busty blue haired girl had no worries though, as did the majority of the others in there too she suspected, because many of them seemed to know Lacri at least as well as she did herself. Adelle knew that as long as Lacri wasn't knocked out, which she was obviously preventing from happening by blocking the blows to her head, that she would be alright.

Figuring that Lacri would probably wait to go on the offensive until she got her rocks off, Adelle relaxed back and awaited her food, which she would thank the waitress for bringing it out and would dig in as soon as she had the chance. "Come on Lacri, you're the strongest person I know of, you'd better win, or I might just have to through you over my knee and spank you with a paddle as hard as I can just the way you like it," Adelle mumbled to herself as she watched the fight go on.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

Much like before, Adelle had to pay into the machine before her instead of a staff member, but that did not stop her from getting the burger. It was a nice-looking product, maybe a little jokingly called the Basics Burger. She might not have wanted it, but there was a sauce to found on the burger, some bizarre combination of bbq sauce and mayonaisse that tasted pretty darn good regardless of the appeal that she might have for either topping. The size of the whole meal suggested that it was tailored for the primary customer type of the place, all kinds of burly men, but surely it would be good for a hungry young lady too.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing fight, things were not looking all that different as the young dude continued to push the advantage that he had and pounded away on Lacrimosa's form, having caught on to the fact that his opponent was going to block any of his body shots and switched exclusively to using them. But it did not seem to be much of a plan, for no matter how much he hit the nun's torso, she would not go down as expected from an extended period of hits. Switching to another plan, he threw in a quick flying knee, the surprise impact still ending up blocked but still staggering Lacrimosa with the force that was brought upon her. Pushing onward, the man clinched the nun as she was still recovering, doing a brief bout of grappling with her before doing a leg trip and taking them both to the mat. After taking a few more blows to keep Lacrimosa on the defensive, the man took hold of her right arm and slipped to the side, locking an armbar on her. This was another type of way to win surely, if he could not knock the girl out. As the strain began to intensify on her caught arm, there were more signs to be seen that Lacrimosa was not minding the hold too much, the mixed signs of agony and pleasure showing themselves quite clearly on the nun's face as the man threatened to cause more serious damage to her.

Re: Steel Sky (Adelle/Mind Flayer)

When her burger arrived, she saw it was a bit larger than she'd thought it would have been, but it mattered not because she was quite hungry to say the least. She didn't mind the barbeque sauce that was on there either, as it tasted pretty good really, so she munched on her lunch while watching the fight continue, with Lacri seemingly letting herself be knocked around for the most part and merely protecting her head.

When he pulled Lacri's arm around into a submission hold, Adelle thought to herself that it wasn't going to work, because the guy could break her arm and it would just heal right back up almost instantly. Adelle really thought that Lacri's masochism was a bit too extreme, but whatever got her off was her business and Adelle would say no more about it to her, especially after hearing what exactly the reason was that she enjoyed it so much from the nun herself. Adelle wished that Lacri wasn't losing her sense of touch, but in a way it had its advantages, especially in battle what with her healing abilities and all.

Her eyes glued to the screen as she ate, Adelle wondered how much she would win with her bet on Lacri, figuring it was probably going to be just a regular 2 to 1 payout where she'd double her money up, though who knew she might get better odds than that.
