The spider closed the distance between the two of them again and as it got close, Kaia managed to get another massive hit on it thanks to the magic bracers she now had, which allowed her strikes to cause more damage with a well placed punch. Her hit left a small fist shaped hole it the creature's body that she noticed as she pulled her arm back.

Her victory there was to be short lived though, as the spider retaliated even though it was in a severely weakened state. It managed to get its fangs into her yet again, this time in her side injecting a little more venom into her which did the same as last time and slowed her reflexes and aroused her a little more.

Kaia tried to kick it again, but it was able to pull back before she could land the blow to it and finish it off, seeming to still have more strength than she thought it would have at this point. When the spider jumped back it stood on its back legs and she only had a second to see it aimed its abdomen at her and did exactly what she was dreading, it had managed to web her legs together and slow her movement even more so.

Kaia grins at the spider, hitting it hard, and again, and landing a last blow. The bites make her weaker, but a bit fuzzy-headed, and...enjoying things a little bit, adding to and transmuting the bloodlust a bit even as it slows her reflexes a bit. It makes her miss what the spider is doing until it's too late, and she gets webbed. Yahhhhhh! Ick, ick, ick! But she has a better chance to kill it than to run away, she thinks, so she keeps attacking.

And hopes for the best.

Kaia's movement were quite dulled after all of the venom flowing through her veins, and now the little bit of webbing on her, but that didn't stop her from fighting on. She moved in as best she could and brought her fist straight at one of the spider's legs, but missed as it lifted the one she aimed at up.

The spider retaliated by biting her again, this time on the leg, again injecting more venom into her body and slowing her even more so. Kaia's adrenaline however was pumping through her body and as a result she was able to put her fists together and bring them both down right into the spider's head, smashing through the rest of its eyes as it dropped to the floor, very much dead now. Kaia still had the problem of the venom in her and should probably rest for a few minutes to let it run itself out of her system before continuing onward, plus she would need to clean the webbing off of her as well.

Another miss! She groans as the spider sinks fangs into her again, getting scared enough to put everything into an all-or-nothing blow. And this one hits. She lets out a yell of triumph then, exulting in victory. And that's when the relief of adrenaline crashes in. Most people would be feeling like sex now, and the venom just makes it worse. she groans and starts picking at the webbing, trying to ignore the distractions.

That's when she remembers. The red potions! Those are healing, right? They are in Diablo, after all. She get it out of her backpack and drinks is down, then will rest to rid herself of webbing, and get ready to move again.

(And of course, it would be funny if it were a cursed potion of lust, or something like that.)

After defeating the spider, Kaia had the chance to sit down and clean the webbing off of herself, then she decided to drink the potion that was in her pack. Once she popped the cork on it and downed the liquid inside, she immediately felt her energy return to her, and she also felt the venom quickly work its way out of her body. It seems that potion was a quite helpful one indeed. After that Kaia had the choice of the north path of back the way she came to the east.

(Potion identified as a potion of healing which restores the drinker to max FP. Also it's completely random which color the potions are.)

(I know that potions colors are always randomized a la NetHack, but Madison does not. Sorry for not making that clear. Question: the venom is purged...does that mean arousal is reset, or is it still running wild a bit? I'm fine either way.)

Kaia moans a bit as she drinks the potion, blinking, then perking up, shaking her head as the effects of the venom are purged. She takes a deep breath, then pokes a bit at the chitin, ichor and...gunk that was a spider corpse. She wrinkles her nose a bit, then looks, pondering. "I haven't seen any stairs down, yet...so I guess they're in another room I haven't found....or I have to defeat all the creatures on this level before finding it. Well...better go North, then. And hopefully I won't see more of those icky bugs."

After downing the potion and everything, Kaia poked at the spider's corpse a few times before deciding to move north. After leaving the spider room, she followed the corridor north until she came to another door. When she opened it she would find herself in a quite familiar room, it was the room she fought the wasp in and overhead she heard the buzzing of its wings. It didn't look like it noticed her just yet, so if she went back the way she came she may avoid round two with it.

Kaia nods as she finally gets back to the room that started it all, with that wasp buzzing at the ceiling. Standing just inside the door, to keep it coming at her from only one direction and leaving her a good escape option, she yells out at it! "Come on down! I gotta grudge to settle with you!"

She hasn't seen a way down yet, so...hopeflly it would appear after this last creature was vanquished.

And hopefully, her luck would even out from the horrendous luck she had had before.

When the wasp noticed Kaia in the doorway it buzzed down from the ceiling and waited for a moment to see if she was going to attempt to fight again, and when it saw her standing her ground in the doorway it flew straight at her, not really smart enough to consider that she was trying to use strategy against it.

When it got closer Kaia laid the smack down on it and gave it a swift punch to its midsection, knocking it back a bit from the force of her blow. The wasp buzzed angrily at her as it hadn't expected her to be able to hit it that easily, then it tried to sting her in the arm that punched it. However luck was on Kaia's side this time and it missed.

Kaia attempted to press her advantage against the thing and moved in to give it a swift kick to the face, but her opponent quickly leaned back and caused her to miss. The wasp then buzzed over her and attempted to grab her, and even managed to get a fairly good hold on her for a couple of moments. But Kaia was just barely able to break free of its grasp before it could get too good of a hold on her.

After breaking free, Kaia swiftly moved in with her fists up and ready to strike. She ducked in and gave a nice right uppercut into what passed for the chin of her enemy, knocking its head back in the process. The was however was able to retaliate with an attack of its own finally as it fell back, its abdomen came around and stung Kaia on her right hip, the venom from its stinger adding to what was left of the venom the spider pumped into her from its bites earlier. This caused her to get as aroused as she had been at the end of the fight with the spider earlier.

Success! Able to hit the thing this time, Kaia smiles and keeps trading punches with it. Even the sting doesn't really feel that bad, though it's starting to be distracting. "I have to beat you, or I can't go deeper! ANd my master would be disgraced by my poor showing! Perhaps foolhardily, or simply perhaps recognizing that the easiest way out is through, she continues battling, despite the aphrodisiac working its way into her.

Kaia watched as the wasp came closer again and just as it got within range, she let loose with a punch that hit it right in its midsection, knocking it back a few steps with such a strong hit. The wasp however attempted to retaliate by stinging her again, but missed as she easily ducked under it and spun away to get ready to continue the fight.

Seeing that it wouldn't take much more to finish it off, Kaia aimed a high kick at its head to finish it off, but was unable to connect with the blow as the wasp buzzed back and into the air to escape her next blow to it. The wasp then quickly buzzed back down at her and before she could react and dodge it again, the wasp managed to grab hold of her from behind and pin her arms to her sides a bit, hampering her movement and ability to attack.

Kaiastae struggled and thrashed as hard as she could to break free from the wasp, but it had an iron grip on her and she was unable to break its grasp. The wasp, seeing that Kaia was unable to get free from it, positioned itself behind her and jabbed its stinger right into her left buttcheek, likely bringing a cry of pain from her lips as it pumped a bit more of its venom into her to bring her to her knees.

Another punch. Delight turns to frustration, then panic as she keeps missing, and then even gets another jab in sensitive flesh. If it didn't hurt so much, she'd be a lot more turned on, but she falls to her knees, eyes crossing a moment..before she aims a punch at the insect's groin, trying to incapcitate it once and for all, not wanting to give up here.

Kaia - 13 vs 6, hit and finished the battle, taking the wasp out


Kaiastae wriggled around in the wasp's grasp enough to get her right arm free and then got herself into a good enough position and threw a punch at its crotch, landing the blow and causing it to release her and fall to the floor. A nudge from Kaia's foot would show that she'd managed to kill it from that last blow.

Now that her nemesis was defeated, she had the choice of heading to the east again where there was still the as yet unexplored other eastern path past the next room over.

Kaia cheers as her nefarious foe lies vanquished on the ground, before she idly starts rubbing where the stinger hit. After checking the body, she starts to explore again. she thought she'd been to all of the rooms, but maybe she missed something?

When Kaia rubs where the wasp stung here she feel a slight twinge of pain that was slowly going away even as she rested. There wasn't anything useful on the corpse but she did hear overhead a few smaller buzzing sounds, but she moved on before anything else came out after her, though even if something else had it sounded much smaller than the one she'd just faced.

Once she moved on back to the east, she found the other path that she had a yet not explored any and went on through to it. After a full three minutes of walking from the wasp room, Kaia found herself in a large wide room with a doorway leading south. Other than a few cobwebs there was nothing else in the room worth noting.

(Well, I thought I had gone all the way to the east before going to the south. That is what I had meant to do. If I was unclear, I apologize.)

More cobwebs. Ick. But a nice, large room...nothing in it....and the only other way to go is south. And what else would an adventurer do? "All right. I think I got the basics. Fight monster one at a time, and retreat to heal if you need to. Find equipment and use it for better bonuses. Find items and use them for, well..whatever. And that staircase, or something had better be to the south..." She smiles and starts to explore the rest of the top floor.

Kaia started on to the south and had the right idea for fighting in mind, try and take enemies one at a time and retreat when in need of healing. As she moved through the southern corridor, she could make out a soft strange scuttling sound up ahead. She didn't know what was causing the sound, but she would apparently soon find out.

A minute later, Kaia made her way into the next room and the first thing she would notice would be the small pool of water in the center of the room, it was only maybe about six feet in diameter or so. The second thing she'd notice would be a set of steps leading down, the third and probably most important thing she'd notice would be the fairly good sized plant pod of some sort growing near the pool of water that had nearly a dozen or so tentacles growing out of the top of it and wriggling around it, and hanging down from a web on the ceiling Kaia would see a fairly large spider with the form of a woman attached to it from the bottom of her waist up, or in short an arachne.

She'd also notice a potion with a black liquid inside, as well as a scroll rolled up sitting on a small pedestal directly under the center of the arachne's web. Indicating that Kaia would likely have to fight to get the items. She would see that both beings had noticed her and the arachne was coming down towards her, even as the tentacles from the plant pod were slithering out towards her.

At last! The stairs! And....mobile and stationary enemies both... The monk smiles and flexes her hands a bit in anticipation. She takes advantage of the time to attempt to drop back into the hard style stance, and then , after gauging place and time, runs to try to attack the arachnae just as it hits the floor. The plant will, hopefully, wait...

Kaia quickly switches fighting stances and then rushed in after the arachne, hoping the plant won't try and attack her while she's fighting the spider woman. Kaia was easily able to slam her fist into the spider woman's human like torso, knocking the wind out of her a bit before jumping back some.

The arachne however managed to recover quickly as she rushed towards her, spinning herself around some and slamming her large abdomen into Kaia's side, knocking her down where she then fired some of her spider silk at her, hampering her movements some. The plant's tentacles however were easily evaded by Kaia, who was able to roll away from them.

Kaia was able to recover after being knocked to the ground by the spider woman, but even though she threw a massive punch out at the thing, she wasn't able to land the blow on the arachne as she jumped back.

The arachne scuttled around, as if trying to best figure out how to attack Kaia, then she jumped high into the air and landed right on top of Kaia, driving her to the ground under her and knocking the wind out of Kaia quite a bit as she then squirted some more spider silk out onto Kaia, hampering her movements a lot more as Kaia was now in a position with her butt sticking into the air and her right arm trapped to her side. The plant saw the vulnerable position she was in and slapped its tentacles across her butt while she was trapped.

This battle was quickly turning out for the worse for Kaia, and she would probably know that she couldn't do much more at this point. If she didn't hurry up and either escape or something, then she was going to be these thing's toy or worse.

This wasn't supposed to happen this early! Kaiastae shakes her head, staggering back as webbing stifles her ability to attack and move. But...there's the scroll and the potion. If she could get past the arachnae to grab something and use it... Also, that pool might provide some cover, for as long as she could hold her breath... And there's always the stairs....

If she thinks that she can grab an object and use it, Then...

She will grab both objects if she can and use the scroll. If she thinks she can only grab one and use it, she'll grab the scroll and leave the potion. If the potion is all she can grab, that's what she'll do, and use that.

Else If she thinks that can get to the stairs and go down them, Then...

That's what she'll do! Take chances, hope for an empty room, or a bit of equipment, before coming back.
