Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Nodding and getting the grill lit, Kylie ignored Giselle's member for now, though she had every intention of fixing that little problem here in a few moments, Kylie watched as the ribs were set to start cooking, and Palla called out that everything was set on their end. Everyone apparently giving the two of them some privacy, Kylie sat next to Giselle and leaned back on the swing.

Hrm... There's something I want to talk about... But it has to wait until tomorrow, I'm sorry, but... it's a bit too strange and I don't want to put words to it... When I leave tonight, you'll know where I've gone, use your ring, and maybe you can guess and save me the trouble... It shakes me up something awful... Kylie said, thinking to her meeting later and whether or not to ever fully reveal what had happened at the shrine. She was still unsure...

Shaking her head to dispel the ghosts and the cobwebs, Kylie glanced around their little area suspiciously before leaning over to lay her head in Giselle's lap, her hands resting on her thighs as she looked at the head of her lover's length. Grinning like a cat, Kylie snaked her tongue out to tease the tip, before sliding Giselle's trousers out of the way, and wrapping her lips around the head, moaning softly.

Running her tongue in small circles, Kylie adjusted herself as she started bobbing slowly along her cock, her tongue running along the underside with her slow motions, before she pulled back, her hand holding Giselle's length. We may not be able to have sex lover, but you need to focus on cooking more then my ass Kylie said teasingly, before dropping back down to wrap Giselle's length in the heat of her mouth, her tongue dancing along the flesh eagerly as she gave Giselle a little relief.

Bobbing along her length faster now, moaning and taking her deep, Kylie held Giselle's thighs down as she had her enjoy her mouth, moaning and mewling softly as she worked faster, until, as she felt Giselle start to throb, Kylie drew back, her lips sealed tightly around the head of her length as her tongue dashed in tight circles until she popped, Kylie swallowing every drop of her release before slipping back, pulling Giselle's pants back up properly, and grinning at her as she wiped her lips.

Kylie didn't say another word on the topic of sex after that, or even bother to act like anything had happened, sparing Giselle any further teasing as she leaned back and crossed her legs. I'd take you with me if I didn't have to go alone... Even Maria is only showing me the way, and then she's going back to the temple. I suppose if you'd like, you could join me for that long at least, but I don't want to burden you with this, I really don't, because I certainly didn't pray to the moon...

There was Giselle's clue, if Kylie was ever going to give one before telling her outright, and whether she caught on or not, that was all the closer to speaking the truth on the matter that Kylie would get for now, as if speaking about it would call down the ravens even as she touched the arrowhead against her chest. Standing up and stretching again, Kylie focused on the ground in front of her, and the space ahead, and took a deep breath, before fully seeing how mobile she was and being sore could go to hell. Taking a short step, Kylie dove forward, springing off her hands into a roundoff before moving into two back handsprings and cartwheeling off the second to twist into the air, landing in a balanced crouch. Her back and abs certainly protested, but it was a singular joy to be so free moving once more, and the smile on Kylie's face spoke volumes as she glanced at Giselle and grinned.

We are so having some fun when I heal up... Because I'm way too flexible not to...

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Oh... well... if you say so Kylie," was all Giselle said at first when Kylie spoke to her and said that she couldn't tell her yet until tomorrow, looking a bit disappointed to say the least, but not angry. "It's your secret to keep Kylie, not mine. So you can tell me whenever you're ready," Giselle added, letting Kylie know that she would wait until she was ready to talk about it.

After a few moments, when Kylie leaned down and ran her tongue along Giselle's length after making sure nobody was watching, Giselle gasped and leaned back in the swing, her entire body limp save for the one part that mattered at the moment. She made no effort to stop Kylie in any way whatsoever, and placed her right hand on the back of Kylie's head as she began bobbing it up and down upon taking Giselle's member in her mouth completely. When Kylie stopped and pulled her head off of her length, Giselle gasped again and looked down at Kylie as she spoke. "Oh gods Kylie, there's no way I could focus on the food while you're around, that ass of yours is more delicious than anything I could ever hope to make ever. But you're right, I do need to at least try and focus on the f-fooooood ahhhhhh," Giselle said as Kylie went back down on her member and took it back into her mouth and began sucking and licking, the lusty and well endowed siren sighing pleasantly as her head thumped back on the back of the swing.

As Kylie worked Giselle's cock with her mouth and hand, Giselle just sat there leaning back, moaning softly as she placed her hand back on Kylie's head and ran her fingers through her hair. It didn't take Kylie very long to have Giselle throbbing and twitching in her mouth, but when she pulled back and began tickling the head of Giselle's penis to finish her off, her lover showed surprisingly powerful endurance and held out for a couple of more minutes on her, forcing her to go a little longer and to take Giselle's length into her mouth more again as Giselle gently pushed her head back down a bit to urge her on. When it was obvious though that she could hold out no longer, Giselle stopped pushing and just grabbed Kylie's hair and held on for dear life as she came, spurting and spurting until every last drop had been guzzled down by the hungry Kylie. From the doors leading back inside, Kylie could hear a soft giggling and would instantly be able to place it as Delilah, who had apparently witnessed the whole thing, though she didn't come out or say anything and merely left them be for now Kylie would notice.

When Kylie pulled Giselle's length out of her mouth this time, she would see it was only half hard now as she pulled Giselle's trousers back up, where Giselle smiled at her and pulled her over for a quick kiss on the lips. "Thanks lover, I really needed that. And don't worry about it Kylie, I understand. You don't have to explain everything to me, though I would like you to, I'm not going to force you to okay. And besides, you're not a burden on me, and nothing you do is a burden on me... and it doesn't matter if you prayed to her or not Kylie, Sehanine heard it all I'm sure and she's not angry at you for not praying to her in the least," Giselle said as Kylie sat back down when she was through giving her some relief for the moment, watching as Kylie got up and stretched a bit, preparing to do something big. "Be careful sweetie, okay, don't want you to pull anything and make it that much longer you're sore. And while you do that, I shall put some more of my own special barbeque sauce I made onto these bad boys for dinner," Giselle said as she stood up too and stretched, the bulge in her pants still obviously present, but not quite as much any longer as she went over to the grill and checked the ribs, brushing some more barbecue sauce onto them before flipping them over and doing the same to the opposite side.

Kylie would find as she went and did her flips and feats of acrobatics that her body did indeed protest at her moves, though she didn't pull anything and it wasn't impossible for her to manage it, in fact it was quite easy and despite how sore her loins were from giving birth to the eggs not too long ago, she didn't hurt much. "Wow Kylie, that was awesome, and yes we are definitely going to have a nice long fuck session once you're feeling better, I want to go until I can't move, but I know that you would never be able to last that long to manage it... not many have really," Giselle said to Kylie after she spoke again, flashing her a naughty smile as she stated that there was no way Kylie would last long enough to go until she couldn't move. While cooking the ribs, Giselle looked over at Kylie and told her to come over with her as she pulled her around in front and stepped back a bit, holding Kylie from behind with one hand as she handed Kylie the brush with the other. "Here, wanna help? Just take the brush and dip it into the sauce and brush it on the ribs and you're cooking. And you said you couldn't cook worth a damn hmhm. I'll teach you how to cook some if you want sweetie, so that you'll know how," Giselle said with a giggle as she offered to teach her how to cook, leaning in and kissing Kylie on the cheek, and then on the neck, but she went no further than that and just held her and continued to help her with the ribs for now until they were done, unless Kylie had something more to say or do that is.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie grinned at Giselle, nodding at how apparently her lover was going to fuck her into a coma at some point and not minding in the slightest. Hopping over, Kylie giggled at the kiss, helping Giselle with the ribs and having decided there wasn't much else to say for now, and that she was hungry.

Doing as she was told to help cooking, Kylie glanced around trying to spot their apparent spy, Delilah still skulking sneakily somewhere and Kylie plotting revenge of some kind... She still had plenty of rope left after all...

Honestly, i'm not sure what will and wont be a burden, but we'll weather it, I'm sure. SO! We cook now... we cook to eat and be merry! And we Drink! Besides, I've got all those potions to play with, I'm sure I've got something in that goody bag to give you a nosebleed with this outfit~ Kylie teased, dashing off to get the drinks for everyone ready when the ribs were getting close to done, a little of everything brought up and a good hug given to Bob the Dungeon Squid on her way, looking at the eggs in the nest as she passed.

Laying out the glasses and just leaving the bottles nearby for everyone to sample on their own, she already knew the sirens would be neck deep in that moonshine they liked so much, and there'd probably be a loud and bawdy song halfway through dinner, which had Kylie giggling at the thought.

Dashing upstairs, Kylie dove into her bag of potions, counting out what she had left and realizing, after having bought all of these, Kylie had only used one, everything spinning out of control before she could really enjoy them, and a truly Evil idea spreading through her mind.

Dashing back downstairs, Kylie poured everyone their favourite alcoholic drinks, in apparently double doses, good sized glasses of everyone's chosen hooch ready, though... they had... additions. They had to feed Palla, the sisters, herself, and the Naga. That meant that she had to spike 3 drinks~.

In Tina's glass, she poured the transformation potion for the Neko inside, and slid the other into her own drink, Delilah was given the last Kitsune potion, and Giselle had her glass topped off with one of the Okami ones. Everyone was in for quite the surprise when they took their drinks, and Kylie dosed every glass in as discreet a manner as possible before stashing the bottles upstairs, and waiting for the fireworks to start, already cradling her glass, and grinning like the cat she was about to be. Tina was going to turn redder then a blood moon, and she was certain everyone else was going to act amusing as well... After a few moments of thought, Kylie decided not to add anything to Palla's glass, deciding this prank was only for the four of them. It was going to get very interesting indeed...

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

When she glanced over to where Delilah was hiding at around the doorway, Kylie couldn't see her and she couldn't hear her giggle any longer, indicating that she'd gone on back inside for the time being. Giselle in the meantime continued helping Kylie to do the ribs, holding her from behind the whole time and directing her in what to do. "See, cooking is a bit easier than you might think. Mom taught me how to cook when I was little and I just kind of liked doing it ever since really. I love cooking," Giselle said as they finished up with the ribs, smiling as she remembered her mother. "And Yes I'm sure you do have one in there to give me a nosebleed, but I'm not going to tell you which one though specifically, you'll have to guess and find out on your own, and be sure to get a bottle of wine for those who want it, doesn't matter which," Giselle went on to say, sticking her tongue out at Kylie as she dashed off to get drinks. When she got to the basement, Bob was huddled around the eggs and didn't try anything as Kylie approached, seeming to enjoy her presence now as she looked at the eggs as she passed.

As Kylie went upstairs after getting the different alcohols for everyone set out and ready to pour, nobody noticed just what she'd brought back and nobody noticed her pouring the potions into their respective drinks. Giselle called for a glass of wine amazingly, Tina called for a glass of juice instead of any sort of alcohol, saying she needed to think of the children growing within her for the time being and no alcohol until she birthed them, so she had only a glass of orange juice to drink, which didn't hinder Kylie's plan any, but Tina's wouldn't last as long because it wasn't in the alcohol. Delilah of course took a glass of the moonshine and also a glass of water, the glass of water being much larger than her shine glass. Palla asked for some ale if they had any, which Giselle got some and brought it to her from their magical fridge in the kitchen pantry, while Selara got some wine too, saying that her people loved wine and that her village was where a lot of it that was done on the island came from.

Giselle started dishing out a rack of ribs to everyone, while Delilah uncovered the two pans worth of potatoes and onions that were mixed and made together, scooping out a healthy portion onto everyone's plates. Palla sliced some bread up for everyone, which was some delicious sweet bread that she and Delilah had baked for everyone while the ribs were cooking, and to top it all off there was also some corncobs that had been boiled up on the stove for them all since Giselle had the entire grill taken up by the ribs. All in all it was to be one helluva meal for them all.

The siren sisters all raised their glasses in a toast, then downed the whole of whatever they were having at the time, where they then refilled their glasses and everyone began eating. After a minute of waiting, Kylie saw the results of her plan to tease them, with Giselle's fey like ears disappearing and wolf like ears appearing atop her head as a fluffy wolf's tail popped out from just above her butt both of them the same color as her hair, while Delilah turned out near the same as Kylie had earlier, just instead of orange fox ears and tail she had beautiful albino white furred ones instead, and Tina had her new catlike ears pop out and her cat tail, both of which were a yellowish tan color. Tina's reaction was what Kylie had expected when she felt the potion take effect and blushed as she reached up and touched her ears. Delilah seemed the most calm about it all really, likely as she'd downed the strongest of the drinks there and was more relaxed about things, and she seemed to take it all in stride it appeared and just snuggled against her fluffy white fox like tail. Giselle meanwhile let out a cute little eek as she felt the ears and tail pop out of her, her new tail wagging back and forth eagerly as she whined slightly before going back to eating, ripping a rib off and starting to devour it, seeming not too bothered by this new development, as she knew that Kylie had done it from what she'd said earlier on the back porch with her.

"Well it seems we've been pranked I think," Delilah said as she began eating now, nodding to Kylie.

"What the... that's one helluva prank. How did you do that?" Palla said curiously, reaching over and rubbing Delilah's fluffy white tail.

"Oh it's just a potion that was slipped into our drinks Palla, I believe there wasn't one put into yours or Selara's though, as neither of you have turned into something else just yet. It isn't permanent though, so don't worry," Delilah said, explaining some of it to Palla, who nodded her head and went back to eating.

"Kylie... I've already got enough trouble with my belly this big, but to have to deal with this too... come on. You only did this because you know I can't chase you down right now," Tina whined at Kylie, knowing that she was the one that had slipped the potions into their drinks it seemed, though she didn't seem angry really, just a slight bit annoyed as well as seeming... just plain helpless, which was something Tina didn't enjoy in the least and something Kylie would know she didn't enjoy.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie giggled, nodding and holding up one of the bottles, before sliding it over to Palla. Yup, just a potion, I bought out the apothecary and decided to take home some souvenirs. Figured since I'd just laid my brood that I'd celebrate with a little mischief, lighten the mood and get a good laugh in. And no Tina, it's not cause you can't chase me down, we both know I'd prefer that. Kylie said, grinning before making a goofy face and flicking one of her own ears to prove the point, the fur a soft and mousy brown like her hair.

Only Serena and Palla were spared! But that was mainly because I had no idea what to do when I got their glasses. Mermaids eating ribs would be strange to say the least! Kylie added, laughing herself into fits before grinning very much like the animal she had chosen to emulate today.

Digging into her meal, Kylie grinned at Giselle, her smile genuine as a satisfied moan slid from her lips and her tail twitched around behind her, Divine meal as always, And now I'm going to do it justice! she said, starting to mow down like she hadn't eaten in a week, the taste melting on her tongue as she closed her eyes and made a happy little squeal.

And another thing! I've forgotten it... there it is! yes! since you're basically bedridden at the moment Tina, I thought it would be nice for Serena to rub your ears later when you laid down, just to help you relax a little, I know not being able to handle things yourself is driving you mad. Trust me, I was JUST there! I've been wanting to train since this whole debacle started! Also! Since I have the apothecary, I was also thinking of acquiring the mine we found Palla in, it's still pretty much untapped. Anyone here know anything about it? Kylie asked between bites, the ribs soon vanishing from her plate before the other fixins quickly followed, Kylie satisfied and full to bursting as she took another long pull on her wine, a good buzz settling between her ears.

I mean, in all fairness, it seems there's a whole lot around here that's either untapped or abandoned for one reason or another, I don't see why it should go to waste while we have the coin to do something about it... Even better, if we can train the darkmantles, we can skip on hiring bodyguards for monsters, and let monsters guard the mines! I'm sure there are plenty people here who wouldn't mind the occasional tumble with them to keep them happy, besides, random tentacle sex breaks? Tell me that wouldn't be nice after breaking rocks. Also, Palla, if you're interested in additional strength training, I hear mining is just about as good as it gets.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Wow, I didn't think there were potions that could do that sort of thing honestly," Palla said, looking at the bottle handed to her by Kylie a few moments before handing it back to her, reaching over to scratch Kylie behind her new cat ears, giggling as they twitched.

"I suppose Kylie, though I'd prefer being able to get around and enjoy it with you all," Tina said, puffing a cheek out a bit as she looked back down at her bulging belly and the fact she couldn't get around without help at the moment. "Please come out soon little ones, mommy might actually keel over dead if she gets any bigger here," Tina said jokingly as she caressed her large belly, a half grin on her face.

"Actually Kylie, the mermaid shifter potions don't actually give you a tail fine, they merely give you the ability to breathe underwater for as long as the potions last. If it's a more potent one though you can swim much faster than normal," Delilah said as Palla petted her fluffy albino white tail.

As they all began to dig into the food after it had been dished out for everyone, Giselle smiled at Kylie's compliment on her food, looking very pleased that she was being so praised. "Thanks Kylie, I really appreciate that. Makes me feel really good to know people like my cooking," Giselle said, enjoying the praise she was getting and kissing Kylie on the cheek as she dug into her ribs.

"Thanks Kylie, it would be nice and relaxing I guess for Selara to do that, a-and for her to rub my belly too," Tina said, blushing a bit as she stopped eating for a moment while the others continued on with eating, then she started back up once she was through talking again.

"About the mine though Kylie, it's... been abandoned for a few months now, since the workers got out a large shipment and took it to the port town of Sephana to ship home... they should actually be back through here sometime soon I think, if they're coming back that is. If so, then you could talk to the owner who lives in Sephana up north on the coast. I don't know who it is that owns it, but I do know they live there in Sephana. You'd have to go up there to find out. Or you could talk to the governor of the island up there instead, Markus. He's a good man and would tell you what to do," Delilah said in regards to Kylie's question about the mine, seeming to know where she could go in order to find out more about it.

"Hmm... I'll think about it Kylie, I want to finish my training with miss Delilah first," Palla said, nodding respectfully to Delilah and seeming to almost admire her in a way. There was no way of course to be sure what Delilah had been doing, but it was apparently the right thing if it was making Palla this much calmer and everything.

As they all finished up with eating and stuff, Giselle handed out some wet towels to wash their hands and faces with while she and Delilah gathered up the dishes and took them off to clean, leaving Kylie, Palla, Tina, and Selara in the little dining room of the place to do whatever they wished really. Palla got up and stretched, saying she was going to take a walk around outside while her food settled, stumbling a little as she did so, while Tina said she wasn't going to do anything but sit there while her's did so. Selara giggled at Tina's words and lovingly lifted her up in her coils and slithered her off to the living room again and placed her back in the recliner once more, which Tina seemed to enjoy as it took the pressure off her back some and eased it a bit. What Kylie did now was really up to her, she could go help out with the dishes, walk with Palla, follow Selara and Tina into the living room, or anything besides really. Kylie would also have noticed that all of the others seemed to have a nice buzz going, save Tina who drank only juices instead of alcohol of some sort, for the sake of the baby lamias in her womb, Palla seeming to be nowhere near the angry drunk that Kylie might have suspected her to be and seeming a very cheerful one instead as she stumbled a bit going out the door, her cheeks a bit red from the alcohol.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Well then, Seems I have a road trip planned if I want the rights to that mine. And I do intend to have them if they can be gotten. But later, for now there's... Other things that need attending. Kylie said, brooding a little before resuming, and then finishing her meal, laughing and enjoying everyone's company.

Once the meal was finished, and everyone started to shuffle off to do one thing or another, Kylie was sorely tempted to do many things, but Palla wandering off for a walk, drunk, made Kylie a little uneasy. Still, Kylie knew the goliath could handle herself just fine and wouldn't go chasing after her just yet, not unless enough time passed for her to actually get worried.

Heading into the kitchen with Giselle, Kylie scooted her right into a chair nearby, and started on the dishes herself. You cooked love, I'll clean She said sweetly, smiling as she got to it, scrubbing the dishware clean with a simple efficiency, just glad to be doing something.

Giselle... Come midnight... When I leave with Maria, please... Promise me you wont follow, I'll explain everything once I have answers of my own. I know it's a lot to ask, I know you've been here for me through everything, but this is something I have to do alone and I simply have no choice in the matter. If I can, I'll explain when I get back, and I'll probably need a drink. Kylie said softly, her tail twitching from side to side as she cleaned.

I'm also going to start training with some of the priestesses afterwards, see if I can improve on some of my own training, and I think it would be wise for you to join me when I do. I have a feeling that there will come a time when we'll need it. Kylie added, deep in thought as she went over everything that could go wrong, and not liking the outcomes.

I've also decided on the research for the apothecary. We're going to see if there's a way to improve the medicines here for more unnatural problems. If my troubles follow me here, I want there to be a solution. I'm also going to ask him about research for improving the temper of metals, there's just so much to do... I'm rambling again aren't I. I'm sorry Giselle Kylie finished, her hands never stopping in their task to clean the dishes while she spoke, finally growing silent, her eyes soft, and the pain of keeping a secret already eating at her. But she had agreed to come alone, to bear this alone, at least for now.

Once the dishes were done, Kylie would wander back into the living room, Giselle's hand in hers, and together, they'd sit and talk about the family they were going to build, and of their children and of Hope, the hours burning away until the knock from Maria shattered the temporary peace, and Kylie was drawn back into her nightmare.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Aye, it is at least a good five day journey to Sephana, and that's with favorable weather and a straight shot across the island, which probably wouldn't be wise, as there are a few of the more dangerous things around the central area of the island, a few more... evil succubi, even a few incubi and other such demons are around it I believe. But most of the dumber demons are easily avoided, though taking them out is a great boon to the entire island. However, you could make your way to the mountain around the central areas, it's where the goliaths like Palla live. They... aren't necessarily friendly to outsiders per se, but they wouldn't turn you away really, knowing what could happen to you out there. When you do go though then you shouldn't go alone, the larger the group, the less chance something will decide to attack you, because they'll have to think it over... well unless it's a wild animal or monster of some sort, then they wouldn't really care I guess," Delilah said, nodding her head knowingly at Kylie when she went back to eating, all but telling Kylie that she planned on going with her, where Giselle chimed in too and said she of course would go with them.

"Well I can't have sis go with you to do this alone Kylie, you'd both starve, because anything more than simple food and sis can't do it, and neither can you yet," Giselle said, as if that was that and it was already decided that she would be going whenever Kylie decided to go.

...

Feeling that Palla would be alright by herself for a while, Kylie followed Giselle and Delilah into the kitchen and helped clean up the dirtied dishes. Where Giselle brightened up considerably indeed, which Kylie could easily tell from the fact that Giselle's new wolf tail was wagging back and forth happily. "Oh I don't mind cleaning Kylie, I did it almost all the time when I was younger and after mom and dad died. Thanks a lot though, really," Giselle said as Kylie started helping them, her tail wagging even more furiously. When Kylie went on to tell Giselle though that she didn't want her following her at midnight any at all, Giselle's tail stopped wagging happily and sadly tucked between her legs. "Oh... well alright then, I understand Kylie, I won't. Just promise me that you won't hide anything that I might need to know okay. I... I want there to be no secrets between us if we can help it," Giselle said, her tail betraying her true thoughts on the matter, all but saying she didn't like Kylie going without her, but she said nothing out loud about it, though it was obvious that she'd thought about following Kylie anyway, until then at least.

"That would be good if what all we know about your past is true Kylie, the priestesses are all strong in some way, Maria is one of the strongest there I believe, not quite as physically strong as Tina, but very skilled in the sword, and Amara is one of the most powerful priestesses on the island in terms of raw divine power, if anything attacks, I'd say her and Hazel if she's here can handle it at least until help arrives. About the medicines, you can find some of the better recipes in Sephana, or we could have Hazel send off for some of them, since she comes and goes between here and Crimea proper a lot. Same for the metals, and I know for a fact that the blacksmith in Sephana is a lot better than our guy here, the one in Sephana is a dwarf plain and simple, who are always better smiths than humans. Going to Sephana or asking Hazel would be your best bet on improving the medicines and metal quality around here if you ask me," Delilah said, giving her opinion on the matters of the medicines and metals, as well as the training at the temple. Giselle nodded at her suggestions about the training, metals, and medicines as well, seeming to agree with her on all counts as they continued washing the dishes.

A short while later, the three of them finally got done with washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen up after their dinner, with Giselle putting the leftovers up and taking them into the pantry and into their little magic fridge for safe keeping for now, a half a dozen racks of ribs left over as well as two thirds of one of the pans of potatoes and onions, along with half of the bread they'd made. "Might want a midnight snack while you're gone, or it'll be something good to eat for breakfast or lunch tomorrow, so all we'd have to do is heat it up enough to eat, saves cooking and makes cleaning up afterwards a lot easier when we do that," Giselle said, thinking ahead already on breakfast or lunch the next day.

As soon as they were done with all of that, Giselle took Kylie's hand and held onto her, clinging a bit as they made their way back into the living room, where Tina and Selara were both at still, with Tina reading a book and Selara laying herself over into Tina's lap, her head nestled cutely against Tina's belly. Tina waved at them as they came in, smiling a little as Selara raised her head up upon noticing them and waving also before laying her head back down. Giselle sat down on the couch, pulling Kylie down into her lap and kissing her sweetly on the lips. "I can't wait until our house is done, so we can get Hope in there with us. Gods she's going to be a handful. And she'll need some other alraune I think to play with too, because she'll get lonely with just us around I think, grownups that don't play like kids do and all. I mean, at least until we have children and they begin to grow and all, but hell by the time they've gotten big enough to play Hope might be half grown, I honestly don't know how alraune grow myself," Giselle said as they sat there, suggesting that they maybe try and get a few more of the littler alraune when Hope comes to stay with them and all, so that she'd have someone to play with until they had children of their own and they grew up.

"Actually sis, the green ones like that little Hope is, they physically mature around... sixteen to eighteen years old or so just like humans, so you two have plenty of time before she starts to grow much, because she's only like... a few weeks old now I believe, if what they said is right at least," Tina said from her recliner, putting her book down for a moment, informing the two that they'd have quite a bit of time to have children of their own before Hope got grown. "It's the red alraune that grow really fast, maturing in like four to five years I think, give or take. The rest you'd have to ask their matriarch because I don't remember it all myself," Tina added before going back to her book for the time being.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie kissed Giselle back softly, smiling as her lover and Tina went on about the alraune, Kylie giggling softly at the idea of several little plant people charging around the house. She didn't mind, but she wondered if such a thing was even possible. Hope was a special case, an orphan that had imprinted on Kylie almost naturally and had already accepted her as her mother. Though... it gave Kylie an idea. You know, if Hope is supposed to benefit from the diversity she'd have living with us, then we could probably cycle out some of the young ones now and again as like a little vacation or camp for them, let them learn a little of what Hope is living. I'm sure it would do everyone some good, but probably isn't a great idea until she's a little older Giselle. Kylie said, smiling as she relaxed.

Kylie was putting up a front really, hiding her own twisting guts as she waited for the clock to spell out the moment when her evening of relaxation, and talk of dreams, turned into a nightmare. She'd made up her mind to tell Giselle where she was going, as she left. And why... though it still didn't sit well with her. It was something that they probably couldn't talk about over much, and even then, most likely only with Amara, Hazel, and the others... Gods, would they make her a priestess? She hoped they had robes in black if they insisted. Kylie was not the high worship type, but getting her hands dirty doing the work no one else would? Yea, that sat alright with her.

Patting Giselle's arm really quick, Kylie dashed upstairs to grab one of her steel arrows, her bow, a piece of paper, and a quill. She was supposed to have been redesigning her arrows to fit her weapon, but she hadn't found the time in all the chaos. Sitting on the living room floor while everyone talked, Kylie tested the draw of her wood and mithril bow, feeling the power in the framework before she examined her arrows. It was as she had feared, if she fired these thin steels from her bow, without a rework, they'd warp in mid flight and smash into her target like a cannonball rather then the blade they were supposed to be.

Setting the arrow down, Kylie did as Gestalt had taught her when she'd first moved onto a weapon like this, she started at the beginning. Looking at the arrow, Kylie drew a scale model on the paper, before looking at her bow, and doing the same. Setting that paper aside, Kylie marked the arrow with ink, and set about lengthening it, changing the tail and the head, making the shaft thicker. Going through the motions, Kylie knew that she could design several projectiles, not just one, but for the moment, she needed a long range death dealer, an arrow that would strike it's target and cleave flesh and bone like a blade from the heavens, like a star strike or the moon claiming their vengeance. Laughing at the idea, Kylie was soon drawing the first of many arrows that would be launched from her bow.

Thicker, heavier, the new arrow didn't have a wide tail to match it's size, but instead, had slightly curving metal blades along the back, to cause the arrow to spin rapidly after launch, to stabilize it properly. As one looked along the several drawings, they'd see that the entire shaft was set in the same spiral, and the head was set in much the same way. The arrowhead spanned a full 5 inches down the shaft, and was nearly 2 inches long. Sharp at it's tip, the blade tapered back quickly, following the same spiral the rest of the arrow held until the rear tines met back against the shaft once more.

Most arrows Kylie had used were designed to be dangerous to remove from flesh once they hit their mark, but this arrow had no such worries. She knew as she looked at it, that this arrow, which could only be mythril, would drive straight through it's target if such a target was flesh and blood, and obliterate anything in it's way in a shower of spinning metal. The wound would be wide and jagged, difficult to heal, and it would bleed as if Kylie had opened their lifeblood to the air with a dagger. She knew that these arrows would be expensive, difficult to craft, and above all else, would need to be recovered, and more importantly, often repaired.

From what she knew of metalwork, she knew that this would need to be die cast if she ever wanted more then 2 or 3 of them, and more importantly, that the village here didn't have the materials to do it. Folding the paper up carefully after it dried, Kylie carefully marked the back of the folded drawing "Blossom" And she knew that this weapon, and she had no doubt the arrows could be used as a weapon even without the bow, were named by her by the shower of crimson they'd create when they exited their target, like a lotus blooming.

She doubted, looking at the arrow, that any conventional steel armour, could stop a strike from such a dread projectile and it filled her with a sadness that she had created such a thing. It would be a closely guarded secret of her family, this arrow and it's making, and she'd pay handsomely to make sure that it's fabrication would never fall into the wrong hands.

Setting aside another piece of paper, Kylie designed something she could get her hands on a little faster. Made of simple steel, the arrow was heavy, using the same tail fin design as the Blossom, but narrower, and the reason was because she knew even as she drew the head, that this arrows weight and design alone would ensure it flew true. It would not be able to hold the same range as her Blossom, but it would suit for now. The head was a large, 4 tined broadhead, but the clever design here ensured that the heads could be changed, and on that night, before her meeting with the FateSpinner, Kylie crafted the most important item her arsenal would ever know. Included in the drawing, was a special side note, another project to be taken to another smith. The arrow shaft had a set of twisting, and locking tumblers set on it's interior, another Mythril only item, and she knew she would no longer design arrows after this was crafted, but only the heads, each meant to interlock to this shaft, born from her mind to be launched from her bow alone.

Folding these sketches up as well, Kylie slid them into her quiver, along with her arrow, and shouldered her bow. She had burned a lot of time here doing this, laughing as Giselle and the others continued to talk, with Kylie joining in when she felt it appropriate. Giselle, could you come talk to me alone in the back yard? The hour is almost midnight... And you said no secrets between us. Kylie said softly as she stood and stretched in her black silk outfit, the metal and wood of her bow a stark contrast to the black as the light struck them, and looking every ounce the warrior, apart from the post birth pooch she still had, though it wasn't much. Poking her own belly, Kylie giggled as she made her way towards the backyard and stepped into the night, drawing her lover with her.

You want to know where I'm going and why... I understand, but would you believe me. That hour at the shrine... I wasn't alone... She spoke to me Giselle... And she wants to do so again, but I was told to come alone to the place where the dead rest. Maria is taking me, and then going back to the temple... Now you know... I guess. Kylie whispered, looking up at the moon wistfully, still thinking it all sounded insane, before she turned back to Giselle.

And love... I know what potion you would have liked me to take. So... here you are. Kylie said, smiling, her cat features long fading as she had drawn. Tipping a bottle swiftly into her mouth, Kylie grinned, and then shuddered as large, feathered wings slid from her back, Kylie flexing them experimentally. Sliding them forward to draw Giselle in, Kylie kissed her on the lips softly, the feathers a midnight black rather then white. Seems there's no escaping my nature. Kylie said, giggling softly as she cradled Giselle in her arms. I can't be your old lover, but I can always be your angel Giselle. Kylie whispered, leaning in to hug her tightly and burying her face in her neck.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Yeah I suppose that's true, we should wait until she's a bit older before inviting some more alraune around with her. But... hmm... what'll she do for playing around Kylie? She'd be the only child there at our house, and I doubt she'd want to play with us all the time," Giselle said, agreeing that they probably should wait a bit about inviting more alraune around, kissing Kylie on the cheek as the young assassin settled down and began drawing some things while the others talked between each other.

...

As the minutes ticked away and Kylie drew her drawings whilst the sirens and their other companions talked to one another, Kylie would see the sun going down further and further and the moon coming higher and higher out the window. When she was finally done with her drawing, with Giselle and the others simply sitting around talking the whole time and not really trying to pull Kylie into their conversation much, unless she had anything to add into the mostly gossip they were chatting about, Giselle helped Kylie get her papers rolled up and put away and her things together, not really speaking much as she did so and respecting Kylie's want to go alone. When Kylie asked Giselle to come to the backyard with her, Giselle brightened up a little bit and followed, holding Kylie's hand as she did.

"What is it sweetie?" Giselle asked Kylie as they got out there and Kylie started talking. Giselle listened to Kylie talk as the young human looked up at the moon, waiting for her to continue talking if she was going to. When Kylie downed the other potion, Giselle watched curiously, wondering which potion she'd just downed. When Kylie's wings burst forth from her back, Giselle smiled softly as she was pulled in for a kiss, holding Kylie in her arms, and when Kylie pulled back after the kiss and spoke again, she would see tears in Giselle's eyes, little streams running down her cheeks.

"Oh Kylie, I would never ask you to be Lianna, she was... everything to me once. And... I killed her, because she asked me to. She... she managed to come to her senses and fought the corruption enough to talk for a minute, where she asked... no where she begged me to kill her, so that I could remember her for who and what she was, and she never hated me for it. She had silver wings though, not white or black, because she was an angel of Sehanine and they all have silver wings, save her angels of love which Lianna was trying to become one day. But she's gone now, and even though I'll never really get to see her again, she'll always be with me here in my heart, and I have all of her mementos to remember her by, like this pendant and the ribbon she always wore, among other things of course. And I know that she would have wanted me to move on and not wallow in self pity. She... she taught me a lot while we were together, about love, about myself, and mostly to not let myself be so devastated over anything bad that happens to me, like Delilah and Tina probably told you how I used to be. She gave me courage and strength, and she was always cheerful and happy, polite to everyone she ever met and never got angry about anything. And I really miss her... (sniffle)..." Giselle said, starting to sniffle as she trailed off with a few more sniffles as she wiped her tears away before continuing. "That was the only time I've ever attacked someone in anger, when they corrupted her and made her attack me, and when Tina, Delilah, and the others that came with them found me, those succubi and their minions were in pieces all around me and Lianna while I sat there cradling her in my arms. Tina was actually scared of me and what I'd done to them all, but she still came over to me of course. I really miss her Kylie... but I love you and I'm with you now, and though I still love Lianna and I'll never stop loving her, our paths were just destined to part when I was forced to kill her, and we're together now. Would you rather I didn't keep reminders of her Kylie? To remind me of her while we're together I mean," Giselle added, wiping her tears away and leaning in to kiss Kylie again between telling her that she really missed Lianna but that she loved Kylie now.

"I won't follow you Kylie, but... if you aren't back in two hours I'm coming after you. I won't take no for an answer with this, so don't try and talk me out of it. You aren't the only one that can be stubborn here you know," Giselle said afterwards with a bit of a giggle as she told Kylie she wasn't the only stubborn one there before Kylie left, kissing her again before Kylie went on, clinging to her hand a bit and not letting go completely until Kylie went on.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie listened as Giselle let part of her pain go, holding her close in her midnight wings and arms, and was a little shocked when Giselle asked her what she did. Of course not, keep them, they're as precious as the memories and I'd never ask you to part with them for selfish reasons. You've never asked me to forsake my past, how could I ask you to do the same? Kylie whispered, returning the kiss and squeezing Giselle tightly.

Anyway, you'll know if I'm in trouble Giselle, the rings, remember? Though I doubt an audience with a goddess will take two hours. If it does... well, best you observe from a distance if you utterly insist on doing this. Be incredibly careful Kylie said softly, looking into Giselle's eyes for a moment, before leaning in to kiss her properly, passionately, before breaking away and stepping back.

Sliding her bow from her shoulder, Kylie smiled and waved, before stretching her new wings out, and very carefully, and slowly, beating them, until she was steadily rising into the air. Up and over the house, the sense of weightlessness reminding her of falling for a moment, Kylie glided down softly to land at the front door, looking around for Maria, leaning against the house.

When the priestess arrived, Kylie would smile and wave. So. Now we go to where the dead rest. Maria, when we get there, you turn around and head straight back to the temple, I wont need an escort back, though I do appreciate you coming out at this rediculous hour to help me. Let's not waste any time, that I haven't seen it yet, means it's either tucked away, or not all that close. Kylie said softly, not wanting to be over heard as she wrapped her wings around her body like a dark cloak and started walking, following wherever Maria led.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Thanks Kylie, I appreciate that. You aren't her and I know that, so you don't have to worry about me mistaking you for her, even with the wings like that," Giselle said, hugging Kylie until she was ready to let go and go on. "And I won't come close if I don't feel anything wrong, so don't worry," Giselle added as Kylie went on, assuring her that she wouldn't have to worry about.

When Kylie got to the front of the house, flying over the whole thing and leaving Giselle in the backyard in the meantime, she would find Maria coming into the yard, opening the little gate at the front of the house. "I see you're ready Kylie, well come on then," Maria said as she entered the yard and noticed Kylie, waving at her.

Maria led Kylie out of the yard and towards the edge of town in the direction of the temple, though about halfway there she branched off the main road and down a side path, which led them down towards a graveyard, the one in question apparently. Along the way they heard the sounds of night all around them, crickets chirping, things like that, but nothing really bothered them. Maria did grab her sword to draw it a couple of times though, however she never pulled it out along the way. "It's alright Kylie, I don't mind helping you out with this, besides I was on patrol around the town tonight anyway. So it's okay," Maria said as they neared the graveyard.

After another minute or two of walking, they made it to the gates for the graveyard, which Maria pushed open with a eerie creaking sound. "I shall continue my patrol for the night, so if you need anything, just scream, I shall hear you and come running," Maria said to Kylie as she turned and walked on, heading away from the graveyard for now and leaving Kylie to go inside.

Once inside, Kylie would see a raven flapping around, coming out of nowhere to do so as it landed on her shoulder for a moment before looking at her and flying off again, heading towards a large gravestone a ways away, seeming to be leading her somewhere. As soon as she followed, the raven took flight again when she neared the gravestone, flapping off towards a tree near a path that led up the hill, the hill being the eastern side of the one that the temple is on. The raven led Kylie up the hill even further a ways, passing quite a few graves along the way, though not a whole lot, until they came to where a trio of graves were, the raven landing on the center one and squawking at her to get her attention. The center grave red "R.I.P Diana, who gave her life so that her daughter may live (born January 4th of 202 of the 7th age, died August 27th of 236 of the 7th age)" and the one on the right read "R.I.P Charles, who died protecting his family from those that tried to hurt them. (born September 19th of 197 of the 7th age, died August 27th of 236 of the 7th age)". If she looked to the left grave, she would see it read "R.I.P Gina, who never got the chance to flourish (Born March 13th of 235 of the 7th age, died November 14th of 235 of the 7th age)". To the left of these graves, just a few steps or so, Kylie would see another grave sitting by itself a bit, almost as if it were meant to be there alone, yet with this apparent family. It read "R.I.P Lianna, who never stopped loving her beloved no matter what and never lost her smile right to the very end (born April 1st of 225 of the 7th age, died July 15th of 252 of the 7th age)"

While Kylie looked at all of these graves, as if the raven meant for her to see them specifically, an understanding of who they all belonged to as soon as she saw Lianna's grave would fall on her. Then suddenly, as if she emerged from thin air, Kylie would hear the Raven Queen speak, the raven that was on Diana's grave no longer there and sitting on the grave stone was a .

"Have you figured out who they all are yet Kylie? I can tell you if you wish. Also, you have impeccable timing, it is midnight exactly. And you needn't worry about any disturbances of any kind, we won't take a very long time." the woman said in a soft yet powerful voice, who could only be the Raven Queen, otherwise known as the goddess of death. "A couple of the others of the pantheon wish to speak with you someday as well, but that won't be until later. Sehanine is one of those by the way, though their reasons are their own and none of my business, so I cannot elaborate for you. Now firstly, have you questions to ask?" the Raven Queen added.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Thanks Maria, and don't worry about me, I can handle myself just fine now... Kylie said softly as she and Maria parted ways, the assassin having not spoken until that moment as they walked, though she did reach out to gently squeeze Maria's shoulder. Do me a favour, the goliath woman who was staying with us, Palla, find her and see that she gets home. I haven't seen her all night and she only left for a short walk. Thanks. Kylie added to the retreating priestess, before turning her attention to the gravestones.

So this was where the dead of this island slept, and seemingly under the watchful eye of the Raven Queen herself. Seeing the Raven as it guided her forward, deeper into the cemetery, Kylie brushed her hands along the markers, along the stone that gave the last thoughts for a loved one as she passed, silence once again reigning in what she considered to be a holy place. Even without god or creed, Kylie had always considered such places hallowed ground, it was unwise, and rude, to disturb the dead with the problems of the mortal world.

Deeper, further into what no longer felt like night, but a veil, Kylie soon came to stand before 4 stones, and her eyes swept over the litanies and names, the dates, and she put the puzzle pieces together. Raising her eyes, Kylie looked into the eyes of the Raven Queen, and held her gaze, refusing to look away from the being that embodied her calling.

I know who they are, though why you felt the need to parade the pain of my loved ones in front of me, I do not understand. Should I be insulted? Or should I let my emotions take hold and spiral me out of control again. Too many souls went into your care the last time my anger got the better of me FateSpinner. Kylie said, her voice strong and steady as the images of the dead, of the men she had slaughtered upon her escape from her torture flashed through her mind, and Kylie saw the recognition in the Raven Queen's eyes for a moment, as if staring into a black pool.

So? What do you want with me? That's the only question that really matters. Why are you so tangled up in my life, and why do so many suffer whenever I come into their lives. Even as a child I could see it, your influence around me, though I never realized what it was until you showed me. Kylie continued, taking a deep breath as she carried on.

In what manner does my pain, and the pain of others benefit you. I don't need you to tell me this bloody book is dangerous, or the pain it could cause in the wrong hands, but have you considered how dangerous it would be in mine? Or if I'd even risk turning over such a dangerous thing into the care of ANYONE else! Am I to become an acolyte in your faith in more then just practice? You know better then most that I've survived this long on nothing more then the determination to breathe another day. I could claim nobility, or some deep ingrained cause of justice, but we both know it was fear, pain, and the grim grinding of teeth that sees an assassin through a contract. Tell me Lady of Winter, because it is only a short trip to see my mind scorched and the memory lost forever. I show you all the respect I would a god, and bargain with you as an equal, but I have gained too much here to lose it. Have you already measured the value of the lives here? How much blood I will spill to see them safe? For my brother I murdered a Manse, for Giselle, Hope, my Sisters, the Priestesses, the People I would lay waste to all of the Amaranthine and dance on their graves. So there's nothing else to say except, What do you Want from Me?

Kylie had started pacing in a circle around this woman, this god, this creature of power as she spoke, her eyes narrowing in anger as she contemplated everything she had to lose, and what she'd do to keep it. Kylie had had an entire day to truly think things through, to understand what had happened thus far, and to digest it properly. Over the last 48 hour she had gone from the foolish, shocked, and scared women, and returned to her grim and dangerous self, who smiled laughed and loved for those she cared for, and would fill the lower planes with blood and souls for the same.

As for the others of the Pantheon, with all due respect, they can come to me, I am done seeking out gods, I've found an audience with the only one I can truly be considered to follow. Even without worship I was taught to follow your teachings, to hate the undead, and pity not those who suffer and die, but those who live in ignorance and fear. To act when others are too foolish, or let mortal laws interfere. It is the very foundation of my training to walk outside such laws and to strike at the heart of the corrupt like a healer would at the core of a disease, and cut it out. But now I'm confronted with a creature beyond my belief or understanding, you, and I'm told that I must reveal the location of an artifact buried in my mind by my mother, and turn it to the proper hands. I have a better idea, When I find the Codex, it will stay in my hands, in the care of my family and allies, and if I decide to do so, be destroyed to return balance. But am I to let you guide me? Am I to serve a God? Or my own whims? or my Love? What am I to be a slave of Next FateSpinner, I do not abide shackles well... And what aid are you offering? All contracts come with a price. Kylie whispered as she came to stop, knowing the Raven Queen could hear her, reciting both her own feelings on the issue, and marking several key foundations in her training.

The Price was on such foundation, when a contract was taken for a life, a price, a sacrifice had to be offered, to be measured against the morality of the killing, and to truly weigh the conviction of the one making the pact. Sometimes Coin was enough, others it was a limb, something precious, and on the truly rare occasions, a loved one to be trained. Such was the way the order had always decided whether a contract was worth taking, and on the occasions where the price was truly something to be feared, no mercy was shown. To ask for the life of another without being willing to give, was the mark of a murderer and a coward.

Tell me Raven Queen, Goddess of Death, Tell me what you ask of me. Kylie finished, standing with her back straight, her eyes forward, and her heart calm. She was making a contract, she was back on stable ground, and she was once again truly the woman that Cossimo and Gestalt had trained. She was an Assassin of the Steel Rose, and it had taken her too long to remember herself.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I shall look for her, though I am sure she is alright, as the town guard would have spotted her around the edges of town if she'd gone too far and brought her back or at least directed her back into town," Maria said to Kylie, nodding her head as she went off to look for Palla for her.

...

The Raven Queen remained silent as Kylie spoke, though she didn't look away from Kylie and never once showed any anger at all, though she sighed when Kylie said she knew who the graves belonged to and what her thoughts on them were, almost as if she were slightly annoyed that Kylie would think she had her come here to parade the pain of her loved one at her, and when she mentioned laying waste to the entire Amaranthine order the Raven Queen smiled, a quite pleased look in her eyes at those words.

"Ha you sound almost just like him, and I see the same determination burning in your eyes as his too. God he's such an asshole," the Raven Queen said, a strange look in her eyes, apparently talking about somebody she knew that Kylie didn't. The Raven Queen then sighed again, a bit sadly in fact. "No Kylie, I did not have you come here to mock you or to make you see and feel the pain of your beloved Giselle and her family. I do apologize if you took my bringing you here the wrong way, it was not my intention to mock you or to hurt you more than you already have been. I brought you here because I thought it a fitting place to speak, as it is quiet and nobody would come around while we speak, so I needn't waste power to do so in your mind where no one else can hear us regardless. And... I thought you should see these because you deserve to, because they fought practically the same battle your mother did, though it wasn't against the same kind of abomination," the Raven Queen said, sounding not so much apologetic, but more like Kylie should have figured out that she didn't do it on purpose to hurt her feelings and or mock her.

The goddess of death stood up from her seat of the gravestone of Diana and looked up at the moon, sighing wistfully about something, then she turned to look back at Kylie, her eyes almost peering right into Kylie's very soul.

"To answer your next question however, your pain benefits none of us, only your enemies, and the reason why so much suffering follows you is because of the curse to put it bluntly, though you truly do not realize how much power was spent to protect you from this curse, as it is a powerful one indeed and we all spent a great deal of power and time in protecting you from it. The suffering is... very unfortunate to say the least, though the knowledge you hold is deadly to certain people... and those people serve not only our enemies, but your enemies as well Kylie. This codex shouldn't be in the hands of mortals period, yours, your enemies, nobody's. But it is not my decision, if it were, then your mother would never have even come home to you, your brother, and your father, she would have brought it straight to Celestia or Letherna where it would promptly have been destroyed, and Then she would have come home. But alas, it was not my choice," the Raven Queen said after taking a breath, her gaze leaving Kylie for now as she walked over to Lianna's grave stone and knelt, sliding her hand across the words on it. "Giselle is much the same as you in a sense Kylie, lost her parents right before her very eyes. She knows your pain, so never let her go or think she doesn't know how you feel sometimes. And no, I don't want you to be my disciple Kylie, as I have plenty enough of those, and I am not offering any aid, as I am bound still by the compact, which prevents me from truly interfering in mortal affairs, though I am asking that you be watchful and be ready, because unless you leave this realm I cannot help you more than I already have and none of the others can either. The only ones that can ignore the compact are the fey gods and goddesses, Avandra and Sehanine have been helping you the most, but all five of them have done so at some point at the behest of someone that brought the entire pantheon together two and a half centuries ago, Lolth and Sehanine both are doing so right now in fact, by giving you the darkness with which to move stealthily and the moonlight with which to see. And worry not Kylie, they shall come to speak with you when they wish," she then said, back up at the sky and smiling some, though for what reason Kylie couldn't tell.

"One other thing I ask of you though Kylie is this... when the time comes to leave this place, do not hesitate, do not fear nor waver in your convictions no matter what may happen, and most of all do not have any regret, over anything at all. Do not pity the deaths of your parents, your brother, your friends, the people that sacrificed everything to ensure you may live on, for they are now at peace. You may not like it, but their sacrifices were their choice, none of the gods and not because of the orders of another, they died so that you may live of their own free will. They knew the risks of their work. Don't dishonor someone's sacrifice by calling it stupid or anything like that because you don't like the fact that they did it for you," the Raven Queen said, sounding very serious about what she'd said, as if she knew that Kylie would have to leave the island some day. "Your path is yours to choose Kylie, whether you choose to keep this codex or not is up to you once it is found. But remember that as long as it exists then the Amaranthine order will never stop hunting you until they are destroyed, or until the codex is destroyed and they can no longer use you to get it... if you choose to keep it however then we may meet again sooner rather than later, and I may meet your loved ones as well. Also, in the astral realms such as Celestia and all the rest, the Amaranthine order cannot enter, so there you are safe from their eyes and nobody would find out about you being here. Ioun is the true seer of fate and could tell you when you would have to leave this place, so if you wish to know so that you may prepare, then I think you should go to see her as soon as you're able. I cannot help you physically, save through my supporters here in Midgar, but I can give you advice, it's up to you how to use it though," the Raven Queen went on to say, giving Kylie some advice on what her next move should be in her opinion.

"You need not fear for these people Kylie, once either of the remaining Atropals has you in their sights they won't go after anyone that doesn't get in their way. These people here on this island will be safe from harm for the most part unless you put them in harms way. Another piece of advice for you also, when you leave this island, I hate to say it but go to Hespera in the Netherworld, it would be far safer than Crimea, as the Amaranthine order does have spies there, while they have none in the Netherworld," the Raven Queen said as she walked back over to the trio of graves, where she knelt beside the one for Gina and reached out to touch it, muttering something under her breath that Kylie could not make out. "Have you any more questions Kylie? For now our time is short, so think now if you have anything else to ask me, or ask of me. I... cannot interfere outright, but that does not mean I am powerless here completely," the Raven Queen added, though not as if she sounded in a hurry or anything.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

So, what you really have to offer me, is next to nothing. That's not the best way to get what you want Raven Queen. I'm well aware of the risks involved now, and the eventual need to leave, that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the risk to my loved ones. And apparent orders to sit on my hands until something gives. This island? It seems like a paradise, I don't even have to consider contracts here, at least in this village. And yet you've taken this paradise, and dumped a bull in it. These people don't need something as dangerous as me around, just by my very existence I put them all at risk, for what? My happiness? Are you Mad? I'm going to be watching the seas for other ships, and weighing the souls of those on board as a risk to those I care for, is that what you wanted to happen? for me to simply start sinking every ship that comes to port here in a fit of paranoia? Kylie said, sighing.

The wealth from the Coralseeker will see that I can raise what amounts to a financial empire here, my skillset garauntees it, and that is as much a weapon as anything else in my arsenal. The problem is it casts me in the spotlight, there wont be a soul around Crimea who wont know my name unless I start a school here, and bloom another home of the Rose, operate in secret, and pull the strings from a seat of inscrutable power and anonymity. Then of course I have my own skills to keep sharp, a family to see to, a home to build, and what seems like a war to wage. And with what? I need more allies, I need more weapons, and I'm about to embark on a journey to get them while angels, gods, and demons, and their kings and queens sit on thrones and roll dice for the outcome, or speak with the bones. At least for now my position of never claiming a side seems to have worked in my favour with the fey gods and goddesses, and if it's their help I shall need, then I do hope they find me sooner rather then later FateSpinner. As for Hespera, If I'm to attain true arms and armament to combat something that seems to take a legion, that an entire house of death dealers and reapers couldn't undo, then I will have to go there wont I. Kylie continued, running her hands over the grave of Giselle's love and shaking slightly for a moment.

Fine, You aren't completely powerless, I know what I need from you. I need the whispers of the dead. This is the price, you will send one of your servants, someone I'll know, with a map for the things I'm going to need to do all of this. Ingredients and where to find recipes for poisons, metal deposits in the earth for me to claim to build my empire here. and the whereabouts of the best smiths and fabricators on this island. Even those that no one has ever heard of. I need the madmen who think outside the lines of others small minds. Or women... And let your servants know I need soldiers, a devout few who will follow and protect what I build. I ask for knowledge, and allies. That will be your contribution. In exchange, I will accept this contract in it's entirety, I will do as you ask, and I will, and I CANNOT believe I am saying this, I will turn over the Codex to those who would destroy it for the safety of all. As an Assassin of the Rose I swear upon the red petals of the thorned flower, and on my own honor. Kylie finally said, her eyes strong again.

This way no one will ever claim you sat idly by and let your servants do all the work for you. Though this isn't true, and isn't meant as an insult FateSpinner, it wont stop others from whispering while the fey grant blessings and audience. It will go far to instill more power among the other gods, and will directly link you to this undertaking among the mortal world without overstepping your bounds. All who come to seek me will know the name of my mother, and will call me such upon our first meeting. This is how I will know they come from you. I shall not be fooled or tricked by false marks or symbols. In the Raven Queens name, let this task be put to rest. Kylie finished, bowing low.

Until we meet again Mistress of Shadows. And may it be a joyous occasion. Kylie whispered, before turning to leave the cemetery and head home to the arms of her lover.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"No I offer you advice and guidance, as I cannot offer physical aid. And worry not about this island or its people, they will be safe enough and have endured worse. As for allies and weapons, they will come in time. And no the gods, angels, devils, and country leaders don't just sit on their asses doing nothing, they merely have to be careful in their choices because when one of us screws up Kylie, it's a lot more catastrophic than when you mess you, same with angels and devils, kings and queens... you get the idea. As for your wealth from the Coralseeker... it is up to you how to use it really," the Raven Queen said, looking away from Kylie and off into the distance towards the moon. She then turned around to face Kylie again before continuing on. "As for why the Rose lost so many in fighting the Atropal... they were unprepared for it and got together as many as they could regardless of rank or experience to come to you and your brother's aid, but they managed to weaken the thing quite a bit really for the angels and devils to destroy it in Celestia. As for a servant to help you... well she is not here right now and likes her privacy so I cannot just barge in and demand her to come here, so if you wish to speak with her, then you'll have to go to her. Evangeline though is my best servant... one of my Raven Knights, of which there are very very few of... so few you can count them all on two hands. You can find her on the isle of Aligheri in the Netherworld, though if I gave you everything on a silver platter then you won't grow and become stronger like you wish. She can help you a little bit in getting together some people of which could help you some, as well as train you somewhat, though... you would likely have to remain there for a little while as you trained unless you could convince her to leave and come to here with you to do so. She can help you to acquire poison recipes and the like, though about metals or blacksmiths you'd do better asking a dwarf to help you there," the Raven Queen went on to say, explaining a little more to Kylie and giving her another bit of advice as she directed her to someone else that could help her, a Raven Knight by the name of Evangeline.

The Raven Queen laughed at Kylie's next words though, about others whispering that she stood idle while the fey deities granted favors and whatnot to people. "Ah young one, you know not just how difficult it is to use what little influence we deities do have here. The fey as I said aren't bound by our compact with the primordials. If we put even a toe over the line and the primordials hear of it, then it would spark another great war like what happened two and a half centuries ago when we did so... though then we had no choice as the primordials struck first and we had to respond in kind. Corellon, Lolth, Avandra, Sehanine, and Melora can do virtually as they please here, though... I was once not bound by the compact technically speaking, but now I am, so I must uphold it just as the others of the pantheon do that are bound by it. But now young one, you must go before your beloved comes looking for you. Also... speak with her about our meeting if you wish, perhaps she can help you to come to a decision on what to do and or where to go first... unless you decide to stay here that is. Hazel can help you as well if you ask her to, as can Amara, because they both have people they can call upon to do so," the Raven Queen then said as Kylie bowed her head, where she reached out and placed a hand on the back of her head, muttering a little prayer of some sort under her breath that Kylie couldn't make out, then her hand pulled away and as Kylie looked back up she would see a black raven flying away, cawwing in the distance as it left her sight.

Kylie was left now in the graveyard alone, the graves of Giselle's former lover and what was obviously her parents before they died... though she still didn't know who Gina was really, as the Raven Queen neglected to mention her. When Kylie left the graveyard finally, after however long she decided to stay after the Raven Queen left, she would meet Maria in the town with Palla leaning heavily against her and stumbling as she walked. Maria for her part seemed to be more than strong enough to handle the goliath girl, though the fact that Palla was stumbling over everything on the ground, including thin air as well, made Maria's job a bit tougher as she stumbled right along with her. "Come on Palla, please just walk with me alright, I told Kylie I would get you home safely, so please work with me here okay," Kylie would hear Maria saying as she got closer to them.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Well, that's a shame, guess I'm doing this my way and everyone else be damned. Kylie muttered as the Raven Queen left. The contract had not been sealed or met, she was beholden to no promises. Turning on her heel, Kylie left the graveyard immediately, not dwelling on Gina.

Pondering her budding financial plans rather then some damnedable book, Kylie chuckled as she saw Palla, who had indeed had a great deal too much to drink, probably at the bar, and wasted no time slipping under the Goliath's other arm and practically carrying her home with Maria, using her wings to help brace the girl as they walked.

No one ever told me the... Ya know what Maria? Fuck it. Don't wanna talk about it. Kylie hissed, biting off the thought before it truly left her mouth as they made about getting Palla home. Where did you find her anyway? I have to assume the bar... Kylie said, chuckling as Palla threatened to take them both down with a particularly bad trip.

Once Palla was safely plopped on the couch to sleep, Kylie would turn and thank Maria for the help, before heading up and curling into bed with Giselle, not speaking on failed negotiations. Seemed she'd need to do everything the hard way, with old fashioned research and elbow grease, bribes, backdealings, and gold. Chuckling at the thought that the gods were really as useless as they had always seemed, Kylie fell asleep and waited in darkness for the dawn.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Upon finding Palla and Maria, Kylie moved over to slip under Palla's other arm to help get her back to the house to sleep her drunkenness off for the night. "Ah thank you Kylie, I was hoping you'd be done by now. And yes I found her at the tavern... or rather stumbling out of it. But nobody ever told you about what? Is something the matter? If something is wrong then lady Hazel may be able to help and or tell you more," Maria said, asking what she was going to say anyway despite Kylie wanting to drop the subject, a slightly concerned look on her face, though if Kylie didn't wish to go further into it then she would drop it for now, but still offer to listen and help if she could.

It didn't take much longer to get the drunk Palla into the house once they arrived, where Maria helped Kylie to plop Palla down onto the couch to sleep off her drunkenness. As she thanked Maria and the vryloka girl left, where Kylie began going up the steps, she would realize that the Raven Queen may have helped her in more ways than she at first thought, as she had given her a name of a person that was very powerful to go and find who could obviously help her both become stronger and help her find others to fight with her, suggested she find dwarves from somewhere to make her weapons and armor, as well as to work in the mine. Plus she'd told Kylie places to go to in order to find supplies and other things with which to use. All in all that was quite a bit of help considering she couldn't interfere outright. Then there was the mention she gave of the fey deities that weren't bound by the compact she mentioned and could interfere in the mortal realm if they so wished. So all Kylie would have to do really is make them wish to interfere, and she already knew a high priestess and powerful follower of Sehanine... Hazel.

When she arrived in the bedroom, Kylie would find Giselle had fallen asleep while waiting for her, reading a book by the looks of it as she was laying on her side, face laying on the bed just under the pillows with one arm draped across the book. If Kylie looked at the book and pulled it out, then she would see that it was a book of scriptures of Sehanine. As soon as Kylie was snuggled down into bed and had gotten Giselle righted, Giselle would snuggle back against Kylie. Giselle would barely even register that Kylie had returned if she prodded her to get her up onto the pillows, mumbling something incoherently. Giselle must have been really tired indeed to barely even notice Kylie was back and with her again.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Gods are too clever for their own good. Even when you hold a position of bargaining power, *Sigh* Honestly, I'm not too surprised, I didn't get what I wanted Exactly, but I was met half way. SO I'll call that a win, and move on accordingly. Kylie finished, getting Palla home being her new number 1 priority over everything else.

~~~*~~~
Waking up early, as always, and much to her chagrin at having her sleep cut short by her regular habits, Kylie groaned softly and looked out at the just barely budding sunrise. It couldn't be later then 6am. Brushing Giselle's hair out of her face, Kylie left a ghost of a kiss on her cheek, before rising and immediately moving into her usual workout. She wanted to sweat out the stress, and she was going to get things done today and that was the end of it.
If Giselle woke, as she usually did when Kylie rose, whether Kylie meant it or not, Kylie would smile brightly and rush off to handle her bathroom business, before jumping into some very simple brushed leather breeches, soft boots, and a simple white shirt, before reaching for her bow and her steel arrows. First thing on my morning list, is a trip to the blacksmith for some more arrows, and then... Then I'm going to show you how I split firewood. Kylie said with a grin, thumbing the razor tip of one of her arrows as the bow rested across her back.
Barely containing her energy, Kylie shrugged off her morning drag and ran downstairs on light feet with a mad twinkle in her eye, the fruit that was her breakfast victim simply wasn't fast enough to save itself as an apple was snatched out of the bowl and held in her mouth, before it was down to the basement for a 50 gold coins in a small pouch, and then it was back upstairs, Giselle probably fluttering around behind her and fussing, which Kylie appreciated a great deal, though she'd never admit it to anyone but her lover as she mock scowled when Giselle attacked her hair with a brush again in the living room, and tamed her wild brown tangles.
But Mom~~ I wanna go play~! Kylie mewled, turning around and giving Giselle the most pathetic puppy eyes she could muster, before kissing her and shooing her up to get out of her pajamas. Come on then! I'm moving fast today! You're gonna have to work to keep up! She giggled out, waiting for her lover to join her, and anyone else who was up for her particular brand of insanity. While Giselle was out getting dressed, Kylie would dash back down into the basement to give Bob a hug and to coo over the eggs, smiling at her friend before kissing his head.... body... thing, and running back upstairs.
Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)
"Ah I see... well they are much wiser than we are, and they rarely do anything without a reason Kylie. At least that's what I learned in my one meeting with Sehanine anyway. She is... very beautiful to say the least," Maria said to Kylie in response to what she'd said about the gods, smiling a bit.
...
The following morning when Kylie did wake, she would find Giselle snuggled up to her quite close, having done so in the night sometime, and Giselle had a loving smile on her face, as if she were having the best dream in the world. As she brushed the hair from Giselle's face, which made her coo softly in her sleep as she stirred slightly before going straight back to sleep, Kylie would notice the clock hanging on the wall that read it was 6:21 AM. Giselle didn't wake just yet as Kylie got up to do her morning exercises, just mumbling in her sleep about something incoherent that Kylie couldn't understand. Giselle did finally wake about the time Kylie was through with her morning exercises, where she just smiled sleepily at her a Kylie rushed off to the bathroom for her morning business. When Kylie came back out from the bathroom, she would find Giselle waiting for her to do so right at the door.
"Alright sweetie, but first let me in I've gotta go really bad," Giselle said rushing past Kylie to the toilet and shutting the door behind her, where Kylie would hear the sounds of her doing her own business before heading out and downstairs.
By the time Kylie had come back up from the basement where she'd gathered her money up after grabbing an apple from the fruit basket in the kitchen, Giselle was awaiting her return in the livingroom, where she did indeed ambush her with a hairbrush in hand, Giselle herself wasn't dressed just yet really in anything save a light robe. Giselle dragged her over to the recliner that Tina had used the day before and sat down in it where she began fussing over Kylie's hair, the sight of Palla still sleeping off her hangover likely bringing a smile to Kylie's lips, because it certainly did Giselle's to say the least. "Now Kylie you weren't thinking of trying to run out without eating a proper breakfast and without at least brushing your hair too were you? Because I'm making breakfast and eating before I go anywhere whether you like it or not. And you need to eat a proper breakfast before you go too else you'll get really hungry before lunchtime," Giselle said as she brushed Kylie's hair, an eyebrow raised a little as she made it obvious that she wasn't going anywhere before she ate breakfast at least, meaning Kylie would either have to go on herself for now or wait for Giselle to get done with breakfast first.
Once Kylie shooed her away, Giselle went on and started breakfast, the smell of bacon and sausage being cooked coming from the kitchen within two minutes, with the smell of toast and eggs being cooked as well soon afterwards. "Mmm gods, that smells good. What's going on? Ouch... my head," Palla would mumble sleepily before Kylie left the room again as the smell of breakfast being cooked wafted through the house.
