"Well, if you scared the living hell out of her apparently. I'd be scared too honestly," Kagome said, following Kylie back down the hillside and leaving the wyvern there. "Well... you can always donate the meat to the butcher or something. Wyvern meat makes a pretty decent meal and all, and there's always people who love the more eccentric meats from around here," Kagome went on to say.

When she made her way to the bottom of the hill and to the waterfall that Maria was hiding behind, Kylie saw she was indeed sleeping soundly. Slipping in after taking her weapons all off, which Kagome took and set aside before sitting just inside the entrance to the place so she could watch. Stroking Maria's hair and whispering in her ear roused he from sleep within a minute, and as soon as Maria noticed who it was touching her and talking to her, the priestess began shivering, looking terrified as she scrambled to the opposite corner of the small crevice.

"No please... I'm sorry Kylie, don't hurt me. I-I'll stay away from Giselle if you want... I... I'll even leave Feynrial if you want," Maria whimpered to Kylie with tears in her eyes, curling into a ball in the corner opposite from Kylie.

Shhhh, shhh it's alright hun. Calm down. No one's hurting anyone, and I'm not upset anymore. It'd break Giselle's heart if you left, and what about your friends at the temple? Hope? Come here, See? I left everything outside. she said, staying where she was.

She sighed, rubbing her head. You don't even know what happened do you sweetheart. And I couldn't tell you until I'd lost my temper. Just breathe, no one's here to do anyone any harm. But there's no call to be hiding in here. Come on, Kagome is waiting, so is Amara and Hazel. Besides, I'm surprised you're not hiding in Hazel's cleavage. She could fit another entire Feynrial in there. With room to spare. she continued, reaching out to rub Maria's back slowly.

Maria lay there shivering in the ball she'd curled into, listening to Kylie talk to her and sniffling. She whimpered when Kylie reached out and touched her, her shivering stopping for a moment. Kylie could see that she was still naked as well, having forgotten to grab some clothes. "I... I'm sorry. I'm always screwing up. I know it's all my fault. I s-shouldn't have stayed. Should have known I was o-overstaying my welcome," Maria said softly, sniffling as she spoke and wiping her eyes. "I just... wasn't expecting you to turn on me like that. W-Was it the tying you up part? O-Or... putting my panties in your mouth?" Maria went on to say, shuddering a bit and not realizing Kagome was in there.

what? No, wow, you went right over your head. Should have just given me and Giselle a little space, we'd been apart for more then a month... and the crop, never whip me. Kylie said, still stroking her back.

You're new to this, I shouldn't have gotten as angry as I did. Giselle should have realized something as well, even she said as much. No one's angry at you any more. Just relax, come out of here, and lets get you dried off and dressed. Giselle's worried about you. Besides, if I hadn't gotten angry I'd never have gone out hunting tonight. Helped out a dragon. You should meet him next time I go to see him with Delilah. But for now, come here sweetheart. Kylie whispered, keeping her voice soft, pulling Maria very gently into a hug, before guiding her out of the water, looking at her, nothing but soft eyes and a smile on her face.

Kagome, let's get our little lost pup here into the hotspring and then we'll bring her some clothes, and something to eat. Get her good and calmed down. Kylie called, hearding Maria towards the spring with her blanket, just keeping her moving, letting her brain catch up with her panic.

Space and Time, that's all I need when I'm angry. A good hunt makes it better. See? she said, pointing to the wyvern on the hill.

"Y-You promise you're not mad anymore? I just... I've been coming and hanging around so much since you left to Tear Cove that I... well... I just got so used to being there. And I'm sorry about the crop, I just... I wanted to g-get a little payback for everything you did to me earlier. I can stay away though f-for a while though... i-if you want," Maria asked slowly, hugging Kylie back when she pulled her over into her arms. "And... I'd like that. Going to talk to the dragon I mean. But... how did you go all the way to Zin's lair on the mountain in one night?" Maria said, sniffling again and looking up at Kylie with an odd look on her face, her eyes red and puffy around them from crying so much.

"Alright, let's get you out of here Maria. To the hot spring we go," Kagome said, helping Kylie coax Maria out of the waterfall.

The pair led her up the hill, with Kylie wrapping the blanket around Maria, who clutched it close to her. "I... I guess," was all Maria said as they passed the wyvern and Kylie spoke about a good hunt cooling her temper, making it obvious she was still frightened over Kylie's anger earlier.

After they made their way to the hot spring, Kagome helped Kylie to get Maria into the water and stripped down to get in with her. Maria sat there in the hot water, soaking quietly and not talking much unless spoken to, sitting with her arms wrapped around her knees as she pulled them up against her chest.

No I'm not mad, and I didn't meet Zin, I met Kaal. Young, but nice enough. As for everything that happened, you got used to coming around a lot, but you didn't really get a chance to know me, or my own problems. That and, situation or not, I mean, Giselle is going to be my wife, tonight I'd meant to be special, a gift for me being gone for so long. Kylie said, waving a hand in the air offhandedly as she continued to march Maria up to the springs, though it seemed she'd be a bit afraid of her for awhile. That was to be expected. But at least she wasn't sobbing under a waterfall anymore.

It's not like any of us want you to leave. I need friends, lords know I don't have enough. But that's one of my big problems. I'm not used to people being around like this, I'm not used to happy people without many problems. It's all a bit jarring so I'm shorter then usual. You know? Giselle knows me best and she doesn't really know me all that well, she only knows that I really care about her, and she feels the same way. A few likes and dislikes, but I'm from an entirely different life. For example, until tonight, I thought dragons were extinct. But lets get you warmed up, dressed, and in bed. I brought your sword back by the way. Someone in the temple has it. You left it behind in your mad dash. she said, just talking, letting the sound of her voice start to soothe over any damage. No malice, no anger there, just... Kylie being Kylie.

Once Maria was in the water, Kagome with her, Kylie nodded. I'll head on in and get something for her to wear, keep an eye on her for me. I'm sure Aya knows where things are, or Miu. Someone. she said, muttering at the end as she left the pair in peace. She'd done the right thing, gotten her back with people she knew better who could help her out. Scooping up her gear at the waterfall, Kylie headed off into the temple proper, just... wandering in, whistling to let anyone listening know she was there. Poking around for someone awake.

"N-No I knew you were both going to be wed soon. I just... she told me she enjoyed me being around, and that you did too. And you'd showed me so much today, I just... I wanted to try being on the giving end of everything I guess," Maria said as they went up the path to the hot springs.

"I... I guess I know. But you really scared me Kylie. I thought... I really thought you were going to kill me when Giselle cut you down," Maria replied as she got into the hot spring, shuddering a bit. "And it hurt inside Kylie, a lot. I mean, I'd just called you my best friend outside of the temple, and then... a-all that happened," she went on to say, sniffling again and hugging her knees closer as she laid her chin on top of them.

It was obvious that Maria still feared her, and that it would be some time before she'd feel comfortable around her most likely as well. But Maria was calming down now thankfully, and they'd coaxed her out from behind her little waterfall at least.

When Kylie got back to the temple with her things, she found Aya in the main hall peeking into a room, giving a little nod before she stepped back and turned to head back to her own room from the looks of it. She caught sight of Kylie though as she turned and gasped softly, throwing a hand over her chest. She motioned her over away from the room she'd been peeking into and into her own bedroom, which was across the hall and two rooms down. "What's up Kylie? Why'd you come back to the temple?" Aya asked quietly as they went into her bedroom.

Because I couldn't think of anywhere else to bring a wyvern... And because I cooled off. she answered, just curling at the corner of her lips in a slight smile after she'd spooked Aya.

Kagome and Myself have gotten Maria out of the waterfall, her little cave. We got her into the hotspring to warm up. Just need some proper clothes for her and people she knows and trusts more then me to get her to bed. I've undone some of the damage my temper caused earlier. but it's not all quite there yet. A talk with Hazel could smooth a whole lot of this out. So when she's up, have Maria talk to her about it. I had a very similar incident with Hazel when I first arrived. she said, letting Aya take her to Maria's room, or tell her to piss off and she'd handle it, whatever.

Kylie had said she'd try to be back to Giselle tonight, but it was likely only to leave a note as she set about waking people up to deal with a giant scaled corpse.

Either way, now that I've gotten her out and back into your hands. i'll leave most of it to you, she's still a bit scared of me. Hazel, despite not meeting me outside of when I was a small child, knows me better then anyone else on the island, because she knows more about me. And she knows more about Maria then I do. So, I'll let her alone while I handle the corpse I left on the hill. See who wants all that meat. she said, letting Aya know what was going on, and slipping out again, heading for the gate.

And then straight to Alan's... she was his boss, his time was her time. And it was time to pick apart a Wyvern.

"Um... alright then. Maria's room is that one there, next to mine. Just grab her some clothes real quick and be quiet if you can. The others are all asleep. I can take them up there if you need to head somewhere else though, just bring them back to me while I get some more incense to put in Ilyana's room to help keep her relaxed," Aya said, pointing Kylie towards the room next to hers, which was directly across the hall from Ilyana's.

Once Kylie had gotten the clothes from Maria's room, she'd see Aya going into Ilyana's room very quietly and lighting four sticks of incense that she set up at the four corners of Ilyana's bed. The scent was that of roses mixed with strawberries, and was quite soothing even for Kylie who could barely smell it. Taking the clothes from Kylie, Aya nodded and rushed off out the back, leaving Ilyana alone for the time being and running up the hill to the hot spring, assuming Kylie didn't take them up there herself.

Heading off from the temple whenever she was ready, either while Aya ran up to the hot spring or after taking the things herself up there, Kylie made her way out the front gate and was on her way to find Alan. It took her a little while to get to Alan's apothecary, but she found the lights in the apothecary all off and the door locked when she got to the place.

Kylie let Aya take care of the clothes, limiting her exposure to Maria for Maria's sake for the time being, and instead continuing on to Alan's. Yes it was night, yes it was a bit rude, But.... Work to be done.

Finding the door locked, Kylie headed around, looking in the first floor windows, and if there was a second floor, scrambling up to check those as well, looking for a window. She really needed to get a key, she owned the damned place.

Assuming she could find a bedroom, which she had to assume was the case given his old injuries and material he kept on hand for himself, Kylie would rap on the glass or the shutter until she got his attention, smiling through the window like an idiot.

There was indeed a second floor to the apothecary, and Kylie found a good enough area to climb up where she was able to find a bedroom, which Alan was asleep in, facing the window she'd climbed up to. Pecking on the window, Kylie got his attention and then some as he reflexively pulled a hand crossbow up from the bedside table and aimed it directly at her all within about 2 seconds.

When he saw Kylie smiling through the window at him, Alan sighed and threw the covers back and limped over to the window, while a woman rolled over slightly on the opposite side of the bed and pulled the covers up over her. He quietly opened the window and looked at Kylie sleepily, wiping his eyes a bit.

"What are you doing here so late Kylie? I thought you said you'd never make unreasonable demands and the like of me," Alan asked, one eyebrow raised as he stared at Kylie.

You're right, I did say that, and this isn't really unreasonable either, because there's a wyvern I managed to kill and have dropped off at the temple, and I have no idea what to do with it. Also, Kaal says hello. Gave him a hand a little, which is why there's a dead wyvern. He got two, I got one. BUT!, I'm going to assume that it's not gonna keep for very long, AND, it's parked on the temples Hill, so we gotta do something about it before Hazel murders me. Did I mention Kaal says Hello. He said Hello. Kylie whispered back, in a bit of a rush because she was you know, Perched on his fucking windowsill.

Gigantic Draconic Body trumps most things. Besides, It'll make you feel young again. she said, dropping from the window and bouncing over to wait by the door.

"A bloody wyvern? Goddamn Kylie, that's not something that can be moved easily. Why didn't you have Kaal bring it here then? Or to your house even? The bloody temple. Bah, I'll have to go wake some people up, a wyvern's more than a one or two person job. It's more like... a ten person job," Alan asked Kylie incredulously, not as if he didn't think she could take a wyvern, but more meaning where she'd had it taken to. "And thanks, should have expected you'd meet Kaal sooner or later, what with being an adventurous thing like you are," he added, shaking his head a bit as he limped back to the bed.

Alan leaned across his bed and kissed the woman in there on the cheek and murmured something in her ear before going over to his closet and getting a cloak and some clothes out, which he quickly put on despite his old injuries. He met Kylie down in front of the place within five minutes, where he shook his head again, smirking a bit at Kylie.

"A fucking wyvern. And before you ask, it was Reina," Alan said shortly, leading the way towards the main part of town.

He took Kylie to the adventurers guild hall in town and opened the door, where inside was an older human man standing at the bar, with only a single patron in there at the bar itself, another human man who looked like he was passed out drunk with his head slumped onto the table. "Alan my friend. What brings you here so late?" the barkeep asked, already getting a glass down for Alan and Kylie.

"Not here for a drink Robert. Here for other business right now. Where's Talathel? He in his room?" Alan replied, waving off the glasses.

"Aye, you know where. I'm guessing it has something to do with the young miss here," Robert replied, waving them to the steps.

Alan took Kylie up the stairs and went to the far end of the hallway there, where he knocked on the door three times and waited a few moments with no reply. "Talathel, I know you're in there, come on man I need some help. It's Alan," Alan called into the room as he opened the door.

An elven man raised up quickly on the bed, looking at the door as he rubbed his eyes. "Can't it wait just..." Talathel began saying, looking at a pocket watch that was laying on his bedside table. "Just three more hours Alan?" he added.

"No, this girl here bagged a wyvern that was part of a group that tried to gang up on Kaal," Alan said, at which Talathel jumped up and looked wide awake.

"Alright, where is it then," Talathel answered, grabbing his things and preparing to go.

Within a minute he was ready, where he followed Kylie and Alan out, with Alan explaining as they headed back downstairs, letting Kylie tell what he didn't already know himself. On their way out, Talathel tapped the drunken man on the shoulder and whispered something in his ear, where he raised up, looking instantly sober and nodded at the elven guild master before walking upstairs.

Alan and Talathel let Kylie lead the way to the temple, while they both followed close behind. When they got to the temple, they went around the building itself to keep from disturbing the priestesses within and found the wyvern still there, with Yuki sitting atop the thing. "Ah, there you are. Kagome told me you'd left a wyvern in our backyard at the shrines. Is it to be a sacrifice?" Yuki said when they approached and she noticed them.

Because I didn't want Kaal flying around in Town, And just dropping a corpse off in the street, And I had to talk to someone at the temple. Also, I don't care who you sleep with, that's on you. Not like you talk about my lovelife. But yes. I'll meet you down there. she said, dropping down.

Once Alan was out, she just followed him, she didn't have any idea who they needed. Only that they needed more people. Though when he said they weren't there for a drink, Kylie protested. Says you, I fought the thing. Up close. Scotch, good hard glass if you don't mind. she answered, expecting that drink to be waiting for her, and slamming it on the way back down and out. Though it was an odd group of people he was picking up.

Talathel. hadn't met him yet. And she grinned and nodded. Yup, took potshots at it from the trees until it finally spotted me and came on down... Then I beat it to death with a branch an stabbed it one more time with an arrow. Worked out well if you ask me, though... a few trees suffered from it looking around. Kaal handled the other two without any trouble though. I'm Kylie. You are? she asked, curious, and explaining the situation as they all apparently zipped around this way and that for people to do something with the thing.

As they headed off and around, back to her kill, they saw Yuki perched on it like Kylie had been, the assassin scoffing and looking incredulously at her when she asked if it was a sacrifice. What? no! I shot it, it's mine. But I needed help to do something with it. she answered, tilting her head before looking at the two men. So.... what exactly are we doing?

"Alright, suit yourself boss. Just try and not drink too much, else you'll be useless in gutting the thing," Alan told Kylie as Robert poured her a drink, with Alan waiting until she'd finished before going upstairs to find guild master Talathel.

"Bah, trees will regrow and then some I'm sure. Don't worry about that. And I'm guild master of the Adventurer's Guild in Feynrial, Talathel Sindarian," the elven man said, his blonde hair a bit ruffled from just waking up.

"Ah... well if it's not a sacrifice, it shouldn't be up on the shrine hill. It would make a magnificent sacrifice though," Yuki replied, talking in her usual monotone voice, and Kylie could see the amulet she wore that suppressed her emotions somewhat.

"Indeed it would, but we can have it out of your hair soon enough Yuki, I've already got people on their way. And we're gonna gut it for the meat, pry off the scales, and the stinger and stuff the head for Kylie if she wants it. Usually takes about an hour with everyone working together properly. That is... if you want it done like that Kylie. It's up to you. The meat though would be good for the market, it's been a while since they had any eccentric meats like this," Alan said to Yuki, holding up a hand at her and giving Kylie a questioning look when mentioning it was up to her.

Go ahead and chop it up, just tell the butchers I used Viper venom, I doubt it'll cause a problem, since you can straight drink it without much trouble, Just, no rare steaks hahaha. Besides Yuki, making a magnificent sacrifice requires me to Like the gods. I don't. I've only met 1. And before you ask, no, not telling. As for the monster on the hill, I don't even know what most of this stuff is used for. I know I need the venom in the tail, and I bet I could make some decent arrows out of the bone, but I don't really wear armor. Tends to get in the way. she said, shrugging.

Like I said before, it was more about the challenge and giving Kaal a hand. As for the head? Sure, stuff it, I'll hang it next to the Ogre. she finished, pulling out her knife and testing the edge.

Still, bragging rights for awhile, and a drink or two for the story at the tavern if people want to hear the story. good bit of archering if I do say so myself. she continued, waiting for instructions, and apparently other people. Alan had said this was a 10 person job. Sidling up next to him, she sighed.

I am sorry for the shitty hour. But if Kaal hadn't caught this thing after I killed it, I'd be a Kylie Pancake. And it seemed important, I know a lot of stuff has time passed as a factor, and the quicker it's dealt with the better. Besides, you're here with me first for choice cuts. Not like you're getting screwed here.

"Mmm, alright then. I doubt it tainted all of the meat, but you never know. Better safe than sorry. And you want the venom in the tail to give to me to make you some nifty concoction I'm sure, so I can just go ahead and take the stinger and the venom sac myself when I head home. That way I can store it properly and put some up for sale while holding onto the rest," Alan said with a shrug of his shoulders.

"I can have the scales delivered to you later on once they're cut loose and stuff and cleaned. As well as the bones if you'd like to use them for something. Wyvern bones are pretty strong, though not quite as much as an actual dragons bones," Talathel said, scratching his chin as he walked around the thing and looked it over, obviously debating where best to start hacking it to pieces from.

A short time later, a group of about a dozen people showed up, a mix of men and women, half of them humans, the other half a mix of elves, okami, and nekos. The seemingly drunken man from before was leading them and waved to them all as they came up the hill.

"Eh true Kylie, but I was asleep you know. And a bit achy too," Alan said, sitting down next to her as the others came up and began deciding on how to start cleaning the kill. "Aw don't worry about it. I was your age once and when I bagged my first wyvern I was at least two years older than you. Was the biggest and strongest thing I'd killed up until that point and I was so damned giddy that I completely forgot that I was halfway between here and Tear Cove. Heh, it took me about 4 hours to clean that bastard, and he was smaller than this one too. Luckily I had the others with me then and they helped me. Well, except for our cleric, poor thing couldn't stand getting her hands all dirty like that," Alan said while they sat there and the group began their work, with Talathel helping them.

The group picked the wyvern apart, cutting meat and fat from bone for an hour while Kylie and Alan watched. The scales were taken and set aside for the time being while the rest was taken care of. When they began cutting into the tail, Alan go up and told them to get the venom sac and stinger for him to take, and when they'd gotten it he took it and set it in one of the many burlap sacks that were brought by the group. He came back and sat down next to Kylie again and watched them continue with the wyvern, remaining mostly silent unless Kylie had anything she wished to say.

When they were through, most of the sacks were filled up with meat, scales, or fat, all of which were useful in their own way, with Alan telling them to check all the meat for the viper venom Kylie had said she'd used. "Alright I'll take these cuts for myself, if that's alright. Could use some of this fat too for stuff. The scales... well those are all for the lass here. And Talathel, have them and the head delivered to the siren sisters house when they're through, that's where Kylie's living right now," Alan said when everything was through. "And clean the bones up before sending them to Kylie as well. Though I could use a few of them if you don't mind Kylie," Alan went on to say, looking to Kylie and waiting for her to decide on whether or not to send him a few of the bones.

Kylie watched the entire process for about... 30 seconds, then she was in the thick of it, giving a hand in the cleaning, and making a godawful mess. She could have a bath, the more hands involved the better.

When it was all said and done, Kylie chuckled, taking mental notes on what was good for what.

Me? No no no. Take some of those scales for yerselves, make some armor up, get some of you kitted up and call it a thank you for helping. Also yes, Alan here gets a pick of everything without question, have it at. she said, laughing with everyone as she grabbed up sacks of various stuff.

There's also the question of the head, Yes I'm staying at the Siren Home. Don't have any real use for the meat, but I'll take some for the sisters to enjoy. Thanks again everyone. she said, bowing slightly. She had quite a haul here...

But now it was time to help Alan back to his home with the stinger and some bones. You're free now Alan, I have to be back to my own bedmate before she gets angry at me. Thanks for coming out. she said at the door.

Alan chuckled when Kylie dove in to help the others with the cleaning, shaking his head slightly. Talathel pointed out the best parts of the wyvern's meat to Kylie and also pointed out which bits were too poisoned from her arrows to be worth while in anything. Alan took his parts that he wanted, a bag with some of the bones as well being one of his choices, as well as one with a half a dozen scales.

"Wow, there's about two score of these scales. A nice load of them. And if you're sure you don't mind us taking them then alright. We graciously accept them," Talathel told Kylie when she mentioned she didn't really care for the wyvern scales.

Alan handed Kylie a sack with a good twenty to thirty pounds worth of wyvern meat in various forms, some steaks, some chops, some that would make good roasts. "That's the choicest parts for you to have there. Your kill after all. So you get the best. And I'm gonna take about ten of these scales if that's alright folks. Six is usually enough to make into some good chainmail, but I can use them for other things too," Alan told Kylie and then the others as he picked out his scales he wanted and whatnot.

With that, everyone else picked away the last bits that were virtually useless to them all and put them away into the rest of the sacks to dispose of so nothing was left at the temple to smell the place up. When they left, Alan looked a bit pleased, although obviously tired. After they got to his place again, he made to open the door, the keys on his keychain jingling a bit as he pushed the key at the door lock and bumped it a couple of times before the door opened and Reina was standing there in her bedclothes.

"About time you're back Alan. And good morning Kylie, I hope you're feeling well. I was about to come and look for you. Come on in and get you some rest Alan, you need it. But I can make you some tea if you like before you go, to help you relax," Reina said, taking a couple of the sacks from Alan who chuckled a bit and stepped inside, setting his walking stick against the wall near the door and telling Reina where to put the stuff.

"I'll see you later Kylie, but don't come back by here early expecting me to be open, I'm sleeping in some today. But if you want some tea before you go, then come on in," Alan told Kylie, inviting her inside if she wished for some tea.

Not tonight Alan, I have to get back to Giselle or she's gonna worry. And sleep is overrated at my age. I'll talk to you later. she said, excusing herself and heading back towards the house with her own haul. Nice of everyone to help, not like they'd done it for free, but still, this was good. And she had a fucking Wyvern head to hang. A gods be damned Wyvern. Only thing that topped that was a Dragon, and the island did have some evil ones..... but that was about 200 years outside her ability and she damned well knew it. That would be suicidal without some kind of serious edge.

Heading back, she let herself in, looking for some place to set up the meat and the bones she'd taken. 10 scales herself as well, she did plan on visiting a very prominent Blacksmith in Hespera, better bring a gift of some kind. She doubted he needed money.

Setting everything away, with or without help, she headed up to slip into bed with Giselle for a nap. She'd be fine. She napped at weird times every day anyway.
