Next, she looked down at her dress, and surreptitiously patted at it around her crotch. There didn't seem to be any holes, not that she could see or feel. Not a use that Ashley had previously considered for magic, but once she thought about it, it did seem possible... she even knew what spell she'd use...

That was for later, though. "Crowd got a bit rough, eh?" Jenn remarked with a grin upon Ashley's return, no doubt seeing her mildly disheveled and heated state but mistaking its origin. She gestured to her side, where an untouched plate of food and her drink remained, it also seemingly undisturbed save that someone - presumably Jenn - had moved it to sit next to her meal. "Your food got cold, but it's still there! I'd suggest you dig in, I met a friend who just got her allowance and she wants to buy us shots! Best not to drink real liquor on an empty stomach, right?"

The wind mage let the comment about the crowd go without correcting it. Anyway, the woman had been a part of the crowd - though it was hard to think of her that way - so it was technically true. "Um... right." Ashley wasn't too sure about the wisdom of both of them doing shots with or without an empty stomach. But on the other hand this was a party, and filled with people from the academy. And this would apparently be free. So why not?

Ashley quickly ate a decent portion of her meal and a bit of her wine - after all, it hadn't been unattended if Jenn had been here - with reasonable haste, given that Jenn was waiting on her. "Okay, where's this friend?"
