Why does this game need a guide? It's not as if it's difficult to navigate...

I do not think this game needs a guide too. It's fun to figure out how to escape, an find a way out before the horde of zombies catch you. You may need some directions in places such as sewers.

BLACK SCREEN BUG!

I don't mean to shout, but for a lot of people (including me), the screen doesn't render after the intro warning and logo, it just stays black. The game is still running, and the sound works, but no images... Google "parasite in city" "black screen" Some have said the demo works, but later versions don't.

Yeah, i cant get past the second room of stage 3 at all. I come out of the door but there's no way i can reach the ledges above me.

You have to walk a little further into the level before there are ledges you can jump onto.

please! I am having this same issue, paid for the game and have not once been able to play it. The first demo worked, the final release and second demo do not. Using windows 7 with integrated GMA 3150 graphics.

Give us more information and may be somebody can help you.

First of all, did you change your system locale to Japan? Did you try update your graphic card and install the application in "setup" folder? Click on Windows start menu and in the search box type "dxdiag" and run the test to check if everything is working fine.

With more information we could try fix this error. Hope you can play soon

In the properties says Game Maker Studio... so yeah it is.

Can someone with the full version tell us the the game's CPU and RAM usage? It's probably a system requirement problem some of you are having, the Demo working might not be a good benchmark since the full version is probably heavier and eats more resources.

hello guys, i tried to do a perfect run, but the last boss won't allow it (more specifically the little creeps when jumping on the boxes) ¿do we get a different ending, or we have to assume she gets modified maybe for a sequel?

The system requirements listed for this game are completely inaccurate. My PC meets the minimum system requirements for the game and on STAGE 2 and especially STAGE 3 the game is completely unplayable. The performance drops to unplayable levels because there are just too many enemies that spawn in at the same time during STAGE 2 and STAGE 3. Right now I'm really regretting this purchase because I can't play the game due to severe performance issues.

The creator of this game really needs to update his list for the minimum system requirements. Because those listed at the moment are not enough to play this game.

Also I don't see why he felt the need to go all crazy with STAGE 2 and STAGE 3 by having such a ridiculous amount of enemies spawn in. It's just completely insane.

You could either call it artificial difficulty, or bad design choice I guess.
I suppose since the game is so short, he intended to make it a bit trickier to complete without having to add more levels.
There's definitely a huge gap of challenge between the last stages and the first...

But hey, let's cut him some slack - It's his first game after all...

Stop trying to do modern computer games on thr computer your grandfather bought you in 1984. Not as if the requirements are anything...could run this on a rig that you only spend 300 bucks on.

It's not insane, it's GENIUS!

The three stages follow the basic script of a Zombie-apocalypse scenario.

If you've played Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2 you'd recognize the 'tropes'.

Start/1st Stage - get out of closed surroundings
Middle/2nd Stage - find a way out of the infected city/salvage supplies to help in your escape (this part makes more sense if you're playing from start to finish as Stage 2 has gives you the opportunity to stock up on bullet clips)
End/3rd Stage - the great escape from the city, punctuated with the zombie horde's relentless pursuit of (one of?) the sole uninfected.

I just love the sense of urgency that's in Stage 3, you are running out of time and you got to get out of there...now!

I totally agree! The point here is survive, isn't kill all enemies.

dxdiag reports OK in all tabs
locale is NOT set to Japan, really don't think that's it
although some mention performance issues with underpowered (read: integrated) graphics cards I really think it's a programming issue. I've run more graphically intense and process intense games with 'slowdown' issues, but not a complete failure to render anything. Maybe the final version included support for some feature set my computer hardware can't support that the original demo hadn't implemented yet?

can someone post a save cause i suck at jumping on here i dont know if its the computer or the game i realy want the cheats so i can see the ending get all the way to the last stage and i am stuck cause of a stupid platform jump
