Re: parasite in city
Awesome post Charlotte, I agree with you on most things.
Although the gameplay may seem simple at first, it's actually quite fun once you give it enough thought.
True.
My guess is, the maker(s) probably had time issues, and decided to go with it, at least for now - cause I definitely got the impression sir dot_slave3 comes by as very open to improving the game, or pushing the mechanics even further in the sequel. I wouldn't be surprised if he added more animations for these enemies, in this game or the sequel. I know I'll be looking forward to that.
Fair enough; it -would- be cool to see more sapphic scenes, or even just further depth into that one, though. ^^
(Response to your explanation of the C key in following quote.)
@Charlotte
The masturbation is like the pregnancy; it kicks in at the worst possible times. The outline of the girl, where your health is, glows more colorful and rapid when she gets raped. After a certain point, she becomes so horny that she has to masturbate and won't stop until she's done, regardless of who hits her or rapes her during. So, pressing "C" aside from the fan service, and finishing resets her desire.
Ah. Never really used the C key in a -playthrough-, and ended up dead most times I was caught out by enemies, so I never came across that-- apparently my meter for that was never unduly heightened. Cool to know, and indeed a clever mechanic, then.

Why cause the OVERWHELMING majority of players to frown and stomach the birthing scene, when you can just nominally inconvenience a far smaller group?
I think that's an unfair statement. You're ignoring a few facts about the target audience. It's not just people, it's more than that, it's people who are interested in hentai-- and, not just that, people who have the skin for /zombie/ hentai. That's already a topic that 'turns stomaches', but it's done as artfully as possible. Likewise to the birthing facet. In fact, given that birthing in this fashion is, relatively speaking, far from gratuitous? It's generally not going to bother the average player, a hentai fan.
You see, the average hentai fan has some degree of thick skin. This would have -most- who aren't interested in a kink write it off as neutral, whilst those who -like- the kink get their bonus points. Now, super-hard kinks like mutilation are less likely to pass untested as such, but what I understand about hentai viewers as a community leads me to believe that they simply aren't that easily phased.
As a great example, as a lesbian, I have zero interest in male-bits, and in real life they used to even be a phobia. Yet, as a hentai fan, rendered bits are an entirely neutral subject to me, and the well-conceived animation and the fun context allow me to be interested even in such scenes where the heroine's caught by blatantly male-foes. At worst, I'd be neutral to such enemies, but it's so tastefully done that I find it cool. I think that the core problem is just that you don't disconnect real-world birthing; if it upsets you that much, though, you can just reset if a fly reaches the end of its animation-- they're only in one level and it takes rather specific circumstances to end up having that happen anyway. If the game had nothing but birthing, I might agree with you a bit more, but the fact of the matter is, this is how hentai works: kinks generally offend few out of your -real- target audience, who are jades hentai aficionados, and they're apt to match the preferences of some as well. It's very much a low risk, low-or-better reward situation, and if you add simple 'vision' to that, it's hard to justify your complaint. Adding a checkbox is a lot of code and balancing, and it would lead to follow-ups for just about /everything/, from tentacled foes to facehuggers to flies at all...
My prescribed solution? For you to go watch play a LOT of hentai games, get a feel for the audiences they cater to, grow accustomed to the norms of abnormal, et cetera...

Anyone who can do a non-raped run in this game can seriously have my beer.
The temptation to shout '
challenge accepted' was overpowering just now. That said, my computer died shortly after my offering to write a guide, and I need to get over sickness before even trying to mess with getting that going... but a walkthrough would certainly take many playthroughs, and doing some challenge runs would add some credibility, certainly... Hm... might just try it, albeit I won't be satisfied with anything less than a no-hit run of stage 2, and a no-hit melee-only run of stage 1, if I go all serious-mode about it. In fact, I need as many challenge modifiers to stage 1 as possible, methinks. Unless I just speed run everything, actually...
