But, before I play this, I remember that when it first came out it was chalked full of "Anti-Non Japanese" bullshit. Did they remove it or is there still those pesky little "Gotta answer in Japanese" questions?

Well, guess this game is still on my "fuck this" list.

you gonna miss one of the best h games ever
and if you don't play a hjrpg because of a small riddle then you're a lazy gamer

Yes, I got it wrong, since it was released on EYNY, I believed it was a new version, turns out it was a Chinese translation of the game, lol.

From what I can remember from when this game came out, there was a riddle when you entered a forest, and there were a quite a few riddles after that, all over the place.

I've gotten to the map where the blue violin girls are, and so far the only riddles i came across (where you have to enter in katakana/hiragana) was entering the forest and one more in the town full of undead.

Everything else is stumbling about trying to figure out what I'm supposed to get or do, but that's just a normal consequence of trying to play a text heavy genre of game like RPGs without knowing Japanese.

I've been reading over the thread, but is there a guide somewhere for doing the miniquests? I'm trying to do stuff like unlock the Colosseum I've seen mention or find the orc villiage, but I'm having trouble finding the info.

Theres was just 2 Jap puzzles: one about naming food and other about a "japanese poem"

also the other stuff in japanese to get everything like in any rpg.

There's a hack for this game somewhere in this thread that removes the riddles, I don't remember who made it though.

which helps immensely with the first puzzle. with the second one the fact that most of us use text hookers to play the game helps since you can just c'n'p the poem for reference.

To be fair, even though I don't agree with his sentiment for not playing there's a big difference between a riddle and "I hate foreigners so much that I am going to actively try to prevent them from playing it even though they have no way to actually legitimately support it".

The language test quizzes don't hurt pirates, it just hurts everyone who doesn't speak Japanese.

My point is that if you're not even going to bother marketing your product towards Westerners (Or anyone outside of Japan) then realistically you have nothing to complain about when they pirate your game. You were never trying to gain money or sales from that audience to begin with, so they have no alternative other than piracy at that point if they want to play your product. Monster Girl Quest for instance actually was released on the English DLSite and thus can be supported legitimately - complaining about the piracy of that game would be far more warranted if any such complaints existed.

If I recall, the creator "asgard Knights" is just a programmer right? Creating stories and adjusting the map layout.
I think he have an illustrator who does the drawing while he just animated it to small amount of frames easily.
Although I am currently learning programming in school I can say that what he does is easy excluding the illustrations
So I assume the illustrator who played a huge role in the creation of the game also voiced out his option about the foreigners and the mini game, of course I don't know what he choose to support.

On an unrelated note, could someone tell me if his new game "Arcana" is as popular as Robfs4u?

If its unpopular, he better start focusing on Robfs4u from now on.

well "Arcana Ritter" is not a h game (also no battle fuck) so i dont care
(not cona playing jrpgs full of monrunes without h stuff)

and robfs4u is already done and i doubt he's making a addon or something for it,
looking on all these new maps and stuff he's working on i guess there gonna be a new robf game

First of all, the first ROBF got pirated to hell. He's losing out on sales when it gets shared on websites because anyone can do a quick search and download his games. Any person with a internet connection can do it, including his intended audience, the Japanese. Just because he didn't plan on going into the English market doesn't mean he wants his shit pirated. The fact that you fail to realize this just shows how narrow your viewpoint is.

There is a reason he put it that Quiz in and it was meant to be a deterrent for pirates and the unintended audience, whom most likely can't speak/write in Japanese, or Foreign Pirates. He didn't want the game to be sold in the English-market in the first place. People like you use like to use piracy as an excuse. Oh, Monster Girl Quest was also pirated just as much, as well. I bet most people can't even provide proof of purchase for the game and LEGITIMATELY supported him. Did you do it? I certainly would like to see that you can backup what you say.

The developer is a nice guy. He was debating at one point to bring it to ENG DLSITE, but ended up not doing so. I already let him know in advance that I was going to purchase the game on JP DLSITE and he offered to help me on that quiz. So yeah, he has every right to complain even if he didn't want to sell it on ENG DLSITE.

well i think just support the Dev if you like his work is enough..... (no need to complain about what he complain to someone who private his work becuz he have "right" to do so....(you could think about it, if it is your precious work (that need for years to complete it) and then it got private by some foreigners in few days after release .....Are you not feel anything about that?)



Note: for me I have both japan dlsite id and Eng dlsite(learn how to register japan dlsite long ago in hongfire to buy MGQ1-3 for faster update (Actually I buy MGQ 1 in Eng dlsite too (long ago) and it have older version than japan dlsite (that time i think japan dlsite just release third one and I can not wait for translate version to release so I rush to buy it and done it in 3weeks (without know shit about anything that their said......but I love monster girls and Alice and Granberia sama!.....(her final H scene disappoint me though.... hope New game from Torotoro have good H scene with Granberia sama in it)


2nd Note: before I got my job (unemployment almost 3 years after graduate...I sucker i admit myself...) I actually and download and play private of these games example for MHG1-2 I download it without pay for it before.... (and it backfire my computer several time with virus and etc(need to beg dad to pay for my cpu repair fee....and got scold by it every time....(I suck at CPU knowledge too so i can not fix it myself...) but after I got job and save some money every month for it and buy them myself .....I think it worth my money and I happy about it......Cheer for Monster Girl!!!

3nd Note: Sorry for my bad english (and this ROBFS4U is great monster girl game ....recommend to buy it (I buy 1st one after this one lol still worth it)....even there are quiz that block us still you can search "the answer" in internet anyway....(google for words and this ulmf site too help me alot thank lol) becuz after that anything inside this game worth the money that you pay for it......(love that ass of sword succubus girl so much.... (can not remember her name though....I like her rage mode....maybe I am "M" guy....)
