A new, English origin game has been published by Manga Gamer, by the name of HuniePop. It's basically a sexy Bejeweled VN with straight/yuri content and some decent looking CGs and dialogue with the gambit of girls to date and/or bone. Just bought it myself so I'll let you know if it's alright.

The game is also available censored on Steam that you can patch, if for whatever reason you want to buy it there at 20% off, but the MangaGamer purchase comes with a steam code either way.

It's actually kind of fun. I love match 3 games, and for a dating sim it is pretty clear what items are useful and what not.

I have a nitpick, and I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this and/or might know how to fix it- it seems the window isn't quite the right size, and you can see a little outside what are supposed to be the left and right borders.

In the Inventory panel at the bottom there's a "Gifts and Food" tab, but it has arrows to the left and right. They'll take you to a "Date Gifts" tab.

I was confused for a while.

I played the game the whole day and now I feel like I have wasted a lot of time.

Well the game is a normal puzzle game with a few nice ideas, but there are a few things I miss in this game:

• Interaction between the girls.
• A sex scene (You only see the result.)
• A "skip the sex puzzle" button. I really hated the game right before you get the last picture of each girl.
• a good story

Some tipps:

• you unlock new custumes with dates at diffrent times.
• you unlock diffrent hair by giving them presents

A few tips for the dating mini games.

• Getting the passion trait is very essential as it can help boost your points tremendously even for their least favorite trait.
• Try to get 6 sentimental whenever you can so you can convert those broken hearts into passion when it starts clogging the field.
• Unlike most bejewel type games, you are not restricted to single cell movement. Take advantage of this by seeing how you can manipulate the entire row/column as you make a match from a long distance.

And one for outside of dating.

• Get the 500 munie unique gifts for every one you are seeing. You essentially get 50% bonus for the entire game for each girl you gift with it.
• Use the website to get a feel for their personality. (ex. Beli approves doing the right things but is insecure while Audrey is YOLO)

Breaking the mold is fine, and I like some aspects of the game, but after the intro scenes there's basically no more dialogue to be had beyond incidental, repeated bits that get old quickly. They establish all these relationships between the girls, and then don't seem to do anything with said relationships.

Maybe I'm not far enough into the game? I've slept with everyone (even the two secret girls) a couple of times, but the game is still telling me I'm missing some CGs.

EDIT: Also the 'yuri mode' is literally just a find/replace masculine words with feminine words, and editing the cum out of CGs. There aren't even any sort of 'I don't usually go for girls' type lines, and some of the lines make no sense genderflipped.

So censored VNs on steam are a regular thing now.. this might become a thing. Since Valve is known to reduce prices drastically during certain holidays, I can only assume that western players might open up towards the idea of paying for their content. Obviously, that only works as long as the publisher provides some sort of uncensor patch or option. OR if the gameplay is really good and the H was not needed in the first place.

On the other hand, it seems that games that get accepted need to have H content that can be completely cropped out of the game, meaning that games like Erotical Night would need to be completely redone just for a steam release, which everyone would instantly patch to get the original version. So I guess that wont be happening anytime soon.

Though I am still surprised by the progress.
