"There's a small pond nearby, from what I remember... We can use that." Eru replied, casting the fucking pair of forest creatures one last glance before turning around and walking away. The wolfgirl led Nym on a short trip, bringing her to a pool of water that seemed relatively clean, fed by a small stream. The water was cool, but they'd have to make do with that. Once they were done cleaning themselves up, the girls would be able to return to town, though they'd have to remember to get dressed on the way back. By the time they've reached the city, it was already starting to get dark, though thankfully they've made it before the gates were closed. Should they return to the inn, they'd find it packed with people once more as patrons gathered to eat, drink and have a good time at the end of a day.

Walking upstairs, Nym would find that Alice was not back yet as she knocked on the door to her room. Thankfully, Cedric was, and he accepted the flowers with a polite bow, thanking the girls for their efforts. If the adventurer asked him to accompany them or offered his some company, however, he'd decline, pointing out that he was in the middle of armor maintenance. In fact, she could see various bits and pieces of his steel carapace on the floor, along with some oil flasks and rags for cleaning. This left going downstairs and signalling the innkeeper, who quickly had a meal brought out for them. Bread, cheese and some meat, along with beer.

The biggest problem was finding space to sit down and eat, however. There were no tables that were fully empty. However, there were two she could easily pick out. One that was partially occupied by a rowdy bunch, mercenaries of some description from the looks of it. Another had a trio of robed people, two men and one women, who ate their meals in silence. They appeared to be of a religious bent and seemed to be left alone by other patrons, as much as it was possible in such a crowded space.

With the flowers passed off, Nym and Eru returned downstairs, only to see that all the tables were apparently occupied. Still at the very least they managed to get their food first before they had to deal with the table situation, "Hmmm, what do you think Eru? I don't like the look of those church guys but since it's dark, it's up to you where we sit." Whichever way Eru went, Nym would follow along behind diligently, smoothly switching over to being the group follower for the evening.

Eru glanced at Nym, then looked around, picking out the available spaces and thinking for a little bit. "There!" She declared, pointing at the group of rowdy mercenaries. It seemed that the wolfgirl liked the company of boisterous people more. She led the way, approaching the group and calling out to them. "Hey, can me and my friend sit here?" She asked, pointing to two free spots at the end of their table. This caused the group to stop talking for a moment and stare at both Nym and Eru, judging them. They seemed to be all humans, tall, beared and mostly blonde or redheaded. Dressed in chainmail and armed, they were quite an imposing sight. One of them, a stout man with a bushy moustache, took a swig of his beer, set his mug down, then 'hmm'ed thoughtfully. "Well, I suppose you could... If you don't mind a little challenge. Wanna armwrestle one of us? We could even make bets. We'll give you a fair chance, no worries." At that, the wolfgirl glanced at Nym. She seemed eager to take the challenge, but she wouldn't speak for the human it seemed, letting her choose.

Stepping up to the mercenaries table, Nym would remain silent as Eru introduced them, just giving the table a smile as she was introduced. Though it seemed the mercenaries weren't planning to let them at the table without atleast a challenge. When Eru looked back at her, Nym would reply with a nod and a grin, the women certainly wasn't going to turn down a challenge like this, and maybe they could win something. Though they didn't exactly have anything to bet.

"Alright then, gentlemen, make space!" The mustachioed redhead declared, the men shifting around so that two spaces were open for Eru and Nym, each across a lean man. "Alright then, ladies. Eat up, then we get to business!" The two of them would be able to have their meals without problems, the fighters proving to be fun company, making small talk and joking with the girls. They've introduced themselves as mercenaries from the north, wandering around in search for fights and coin. They were making a stop in Saina before venturing further south, apparently. The group was called Red Fangs and seemed to be quite successful, judging by their tales and good humor.

Once the girls were done, space would be cleared on the table to allow for armwrestling competition to commence. "Alright then ladies, here's the deal." The leader of the group declared. "You can choose if you want to use your right or left. You can also bet something you own and the gentlemen there will match those bets to the best of their ability. If you don't have anything worth betting, putting your bodies for a night as a wager is fine too." He declared. "So, make your choices and get ready, this ain't going to be a walk in the park for ya."

Nym ate up quickly, the girl had been really hungry after the days events and the mercenaries didn't atleast seem to plan to cause a scene so she quickly lost any apprehensiveness she had at the moment.

Then dinner ended and the arm wrestling came back up, and the Nym looked over at Eru, saying quietly, "Well, we don't really have anything, unless you picked up some extra stuff, or we like bet my axe. So I guess we see how much we can get if we bet ourselves for a night?"

If Eru agreed then Nym would turn back to the men and let Eru give their response. The girl mentally prepping herself for the arm wrestling.

The leader nodded as Eru declared the two of them would be betting a night of fun. "Alright then lads, ladies made their wagers! What have ye got to put on the table?" The blonde man sitting in front of Nym paused to think, then brought out a pair of very nice daggers from his backpack. "Took them off of a rogue that tried to ambush me. He was good... But he really shouldn't have done that." He explained to the girl. Meanwhile, the redhead that was going to be Eru's opponent produced a decently sized mace of good quality. "And that one got taken off of a shmuck who didn't know how to use it properly." He laughed. It seemed that weapons would be the prize, if they won. Perhaps not so suprising, considering the men themselves and their appearance.

With the space cleared and both girls seated across their opponents, the competition would begin. Nym and Eru would extend their arms, propping their elbows on the table and the men would do the same. Grasping each other's hands in preparation for the signal, they were held in place by the leader of the group who was acting as a judge. "Alright then... Relax your arms. Now, ready and... Go!" He shouted, pulling his arms up and allowing the pairs to begin fighting. The men cheered, but their cheer turned to suprise when Nym managed to rapidly push her opponent down, making him hit the table in just a moment. Perhaps a leftover from Cedric's training? Her opponent was most silent for a moment, at least until one of his comrades slapped him on the shoulders, laughing. "Bayleog, what the Hell? You lost to a wee lass like that?"

"Aye, seems I did." He chuckled, handing over the daggers to Nym. "Nice arm, miss. You've got power in it, that's for sure." He declared, looking a little irritated at the playful ribbing his friends were giving him now but taking his loss rather well. Meanwhile, Eru was locked in quite the epic struggle. Both she and her opponent were grunting with exertion, muscles tense as they've attempted to push the other down. She seemed to have the upper hand at first, but her opponent managed to recover moments before he'd lose and was pushing back. For a long, long time they were at a stalemate, both of them gaining ground only to lose it just as rapidly. Eventually, however, the wolfgirl's strenght began to run short. And with a despairing cry, she finally lost when her opponent pressed her arm against the table, letting out a triumphant shout as his friends cheered.

"And that's how ya do it, lads!" The winner called out, quickly finishing the last of his beer before putting the mace back in his back. He then stood up, walked around the table, threw Eru over his shoulder (ignoring her squeaky protests) and turned to address the crowd. "And now if you don't mind me, I'll be enjoying the spoils. I'll let your friend go in the morning." He winked at Nym before turning around and going upstairs. Meanwhile, the remaining warriors continued to drink, laugh and praise Nym's swift victory as well as the tenacity of both of the now missing competitors. The adventurer would be able to easily join the revelry, engaging in small talk and drink together with them as they were quite willing to buy her a beer or two if she wished.

Well, that had went.. Nym hadn't honestly been expecting to win that quickly, and she wasn't expecting Eru to lose if she had won that quick. Still, it had happened, and she'd have to rib Eru about it later, though hopefully the merc wouldn't do anything too odd to her, or they might have to have words in the morning.

Left mostly with nothing to do, and a new pair of daggers that she'd either have to learn how to use, give to Eru, or sell for cash. They looked like pretty good make so maybe she could do the final. Actually how did respecing in this game work?

Either way Nym could think about that in the morning, and failing to have anything better to do, she joined in with the mercenaries revelry, half the fun of being an adventurer was getting praise for things after all and sharing tales. She'd even join them in drinking, though she would try to avoid going overboard like she had last time she drank at the party.

The group would have fun and be merry for a few more hours, drinking, singing and talking with Nym. Eventually, they'd all retire for the night, leaving the girl with nothing better to do as well considering the other patrons were either following their example or have already left. She'd be spending this night alone, it seemed, though as she walked upstairs she'd be able to hear Eru moaning loudly in one of the rooms if she strained her hearing. Judging by the sounds of it, she was being pounded hard and loved every second of it. The human would be able to sleep without trouble, though, and when morning came she'd be woken up by the wolfgirl walking into the room, looking a little worn out and with her hair a tangled mess, but seemingly satisfied. Apparently the mercenaries were leaving early this day.

Once the girls were done with morning ablutions and dressing up, they'd meet Alice and Cedric at breakfast. The mage seemed to be in a rather good mood, praising the girls for providing her with the first ingredient. "I am so thankful to you, Nym." She spoke with sincerety. "I've been so busy with my job last night I came in very late, but I'm glad you've managed to pull through." The woman smiled. "I take it you're going to visit the undine then? I'd advise you take caution. She's been avoiding visitors lately according to rumors. This here should help you call her." She handed the girl a small blue crystal. "Just dip it briefly into the water. If she doesn't come in a few minutes, then the mission is a lost cause. But if she does come... Try to be respectful. Spirits such as the undine prefer to be addressed in a dignified manner."

Nym, after all the events of earlier that day, didn't entirely mind sleeping alone. Though she did have to be a bit envious of the sounds Eru was making through the walls. Still she managed to get to sleep easily enough, and it was Eru that woke her up with her entrance, causing her to sleepily mutter, "Well, you look like you had fun."

Awake, and soon enough dressed, Nym would lead herself and the wolfgirl back downstairs, where they would run into Alice as they ate, "It wasn't too hard to get," Nym said, glossing over what had been involved to get it, and after taking the gems from the mage she said, "Don't piss off the water spirit, got it, hopefully we'll be back early enough tonight. We should talk more then cause we got a few questions about how we could make some money around here."

With breakfast done, and their gear was all gathered up, Nym would strike out. Off to visit the Undine and see if they could get through this without having to sell their soul to a water spirit or something.

"I'll be glad to help you with that." Alice smiled, waving at Nym as she set off. The sun was shining brightly today once more, and she and Eru would have to go off the main road this time, taking a much simpler path between the farmlands. Once they've left the fields behind, they'd enter a somewhat hilly area, with occasional rock outcroppings and trees scattered around. After a short walk, they'd emerge past a ring of small hills to see a fairly large lake, filled with crystal-clear water. The shore was lined with trees in many places and had a few large stones lying around here and there, but there was plenty of space to approach it. The undine seemed to be nowhere in sight, though. Clearly Nym would have to try summoning the water spirit first - hopefully she'd be in good enough mood to answer...

The travel was easy, the duo encountering nothing on their walking as they passed through farmlands and hills as they made there way to the spring. The clear water of the undine's lake almost made Nym want to jump into it but she figured that would not endear them to the water elemental. Instead she took out the crystals that Alice gave her and walked up to the water's edge before dipping it in, hoping they would successfully summon the spirit, though she did wonder what it would ask them to do in exchange for the blessed water they needed.

For a while, nothing seemed to happen. The lake remained still, disturbed only by the faint ripples caused by the crystal. Just as Nym began to doubt the undine would come, however, she'd see a blue, female form suddenly emerge from the water, looking around. The spirit seemed on guard, but after noticing the girl and the crystal she was holding she seemed to relax, if only a little. "You are the one to summon me, child?" She inquired, looking a little suprised. "You do not seem to be a mage, and yet you have a way... Who sent you here, and for what purpose?" The undine questioned. "I suggest that you speak quickly. I do not wish to remain above the surface any longer than I have to, mortal." Sadly, she didn't seem all that happy. Though her ire didn't seem to be caused by Nym herself, at least, rather it seemed to be a product of something that happened earlier. And the spirit did keep looking around a lot for some reason.

"I am spirit," Nym said, trying to remain as polite as she could. The redhead had personally been wondering if this was going to work at all with how long it had taken the spirit to respond originally. Sensing the spirits irritation she spoke quickly, "My companion and I were sent to request some blessed water from you Spirit. Our employer did not tell us what purpose it would be used for, just that she needed it for her alchemy."

"The reason for which you request my waters interest me not." The undine replied, seeming a bit less unfriendly now. "What matters is that you are asking for them. That is not a gift I impart freely, mortal." The spirit floated over the surface of the lake, moving closer. "However, I may be willing to humor your request if you listen to mine. One of your kind, a male I believe, has been harrassing me recently." She explained, stopping not too far away from Nym. "He is stricken with madness and unpleasant to deal with. He tries to make demands of me. I do not find his behaviour tolerable. I want you to find him and ensure that he leaves me in peace. The means by which you do so are of no interest to me. Whether you slay him, banish him or fulfill whatever inane request he may have and send him on his way, all I care about is the result. By the end of his day, I want him away from my lake for good. You will find him skulking around here somewhere, most likely." Having said her piece, the undine retreated underwater, disappearing in the lake.

Nym wouldn't get the opportunity to respond back to the Undine before the spirit returned to the water. Leaving Nym to just step back from the lake and turn to Eru, "Well, I guess we have a task to do then, hopefully this doesn't turn into a chain of deals. Now, lets get going, the faster we find this guy the faster we get this done."

Nym would start circling the lake, hoping that Eru might figure out where this guy was before she did. The wolfgirl probably had really good scent detection right? Or maybe she could see tracks or something. If she didn't then they would just end up walking till they stumbled across whoever this guy was.
