What is Dragon Tactics?

Dragon Tactics is a card-battle game where players will make their way through many magical kingdoms and collect cards to use in battle with other players and foe.

The setting takes place in the Kingdom of Dragnia, a once war torn and desperate land, that became peaceful under the reign of the Dragon King. It may not be safe for long, as the Kingdom of Zoldark yearns for control. In an effort to ensure his powers would not die, the ancient Dragon King ingrained his DNA into the royal line, so that it would carry on into the knights.

You must set out on an adventure to find and employ the help of as many knights as you can in hopes to keep Dragnia secure against the evil Zoldark.

Knights

Knights are the cards that you will find throughout the game and simultaneously include in your deck. Their rarities vary from N to UR, and all have different uses and skills. They also have set elements.

An important thing to know is what elements are strong against other elements:

"Warrior" is weak against "Archer" and strong against "Magic".
"Archer" is weak against "Magic" and strong against "Warrior".
"Magic" is weak against "Warrior" and strong against "Archer".
"Princess" is not influenced by any other elements.

Coliseum

In the Coliseum you will battle other players, both will fight with their Main Deck.

Fusion

Under the Fuse tab you'll find Power-Up Fusion and Awakening Fusion.

Power-Up Fusions allow you to use a series of cards to level up the skill of a chosen base card.

Awakening Fusion will allow you to fuse two of the same cards together to enhance the base card.

Guild

Spoiler

You can join or create Guilds in Dragon Tactics. This is a fighting team made up of multiple players. When you are part of a Guild, you have advantages in certain quests and battles.

Specific events will offer Guild rewards.

Ah here is the thread, I set up a guild already but it's pretty safe to say I have no idea what I'm doing. I assume my LoV knowledge will be useful considering I see a lot of similarities.

Small tip for people playing this, go to menu at the top and mission on the bottom right and go over to the achievement tab, there is a lot of things you can probably claim, fairly useful stuff. I stumbled onto this randomly.

Also Nordland random question, do you know if this game has a limit to the number of cards you can have at once? I don't see anything in the shop that boost a limit nor do I see any caps anywhere else either.

is there any friend search option? i want to invite friends i actually know to my guild but i dont see any option. i can't even friend request them specifically and going to randoms is taking a long time.

Trade your medals in the menu -> Medals section for more slots.

Your cap is listed next to Leadership in the top stats summary, its 100 Knights/Cards to start.

Also, seconding the need to locate Allies by name/ID. Seems kinda silly to have Guilds without the ability to actually invite your friends.

How the fuck did I miss that...Oh well. I was hopeful this was unlike LoV in the fact you will have to sell cards eventually, at least slots seem easy to get.

It looks like a better version of LoV, if it gets event's as regular as Aigis right now, i'm totaly hooked.

Ranked 21 in the Coliseum, probably as high as it ever going to get so being happy now.

My only worry is considering this from the people that made Aegis...is that we don't get all the cards, much like in Aegis.

I like the art style of the cards , but very similar to LoV and i don't need another job... the guild things looks like the comrades list and if u are not active u end up incapable of doing the decent bosses.
I'll skip this one , my hopes are now on Kanpani ò_ò

You have two different lists actually. Guild list you can share bosses with, and then your ally list you can also share bosses with, for a total of up to 50 people you can share a boss with.

XD even worse , when i played Lov the first months i was jobless ( and that was the only nutaku game) so was ok to stay always on the spot for the bosses assist , cards optimal farm etc etc , but now i can't so games like aigis are better for my current situation.
Again i really like the cards so i'm a bit sad =p

Can confirm that the game works fine in chrome, it just freezes when clicking advance in firefox.

Also scumbags mass creating accounts just to get a UR in the first try.. people doesn't change huh

Too much like LoV for my tastes and the interface isn't very friendly.
I gave it a shot, got to Lv. 15, but I think I'll be giving this one a pass.

Well just started and finally lvl 15... now time to wait stamina...
While on it looking for guild (currently on reservation to disolve cuz needed to clear mission)

Battle power 296,122 / rank 61... on colusium.

I don't really understand how guild xp works, I've got mine set up and is level 11 but I never once figured out how it was getting the xp to level. That aside this game is alright, I enjoy the battle system quite a lot more then I did in LoV partly because you can't get carried by bullshit OP equipment and card positions actually matter quite a bit.

It all comes down to how they handle events, how often we get events and if they decide to cut content.
