It's that DRM again. It's the same one that has been screwing a lot of people over from getting the CG they want (or playing the games). From what I've read, it connects to some cipher server and the server sends back a key or something.

More devs might be jumping on the bandwagon since it seems so effective.

btw, do you really have to go through that login process everytime you want to play the game? Seems like a total pain.

I'm just throwing idea here and to be honest, i'm quite a bit too lazy to try it out myself, but.... if the game really waits for a key from an external server, wouldn't a simple packet tracer like wireshark give the decrypted/encrypted key? With that key it would be possible to simulate the server.

Or am i crazy tired and should go take a rest?

Depends on a few things, if the key itself is encrypted again, maybe it's hidden in junk data etc. I'd imagine it's probably already been thought of. Not to knock your idea mind you, I could be totally wrong

Just in case you didn't know, this is about the fourth time that rpg was mentioned and started a 3+ page of talk about DRM. Seriously, I had to sit thorough this 4 times...so unless someone feel they can crack the DRM, just don't mention it.

Edit:Sorry, I'm just annoyed because it's the 4th time. I was more calm the first 3 times it happened...

Yeah, if anything, the DRM games should just be ignored (imo).
Spending days trying to break the DRM on them isn't really worth the hours of playing you'll get...especially if you don't know you'll even like the game that much.

And that's the reason why I didn't do it before, I'm super lazy and I already have to code 8 hours per day at work, unless I reaaaally want something I'm not going to do it, not all DRM protections are the same which is demoralizing, if they were... Probably would have done it by now, but they are not, the only game so far (played the demo so..) that I would probably spend my time trying to crack DRM for, is Virgin Island.

Ahhh, that's where I fucked up, I tried that for a while, replacing the 0 with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, doing the same for the second number, then I grew bored and thought I'd look for the image on the internet, but you just save me a lot of work xD
