This is my first translation project and when I tried the demo for Undercrust 2, I realized I hadn't played the first one.

After about 5 minutes with Translation Aggregator running, I got frustrated and remembered the Translator ++ topic and decided to give it a go.

Well about 6 hours of effort later, this is a rough, mostly completed partial. I've been toying with doing a full translation (and did some of the lines in the intro), but it would be mainly machine translated.

I've done a little testing, but this is definately a first go; at least two enemies I tried to puzzle out their names and I probably got them wrong. In fact, anything with a ? after it is something I definately did a "best guess" since I haven't played through it yet.

There will also be probably be formatting issues like words going out the window and grammar and spelling mistakes.

Again, as this is my first translation project (and I'm starting to wonder if this was really a good decision), I definately need to know what I'm doing wrong.

Anyway, please enjoy and definately make a backup of your /data folder before installing. Also included is the .trans file if you want to throw it into Translator ++ yourself.

Additionally, for the first time, I found how to translate the dazed message and glossary menu entry. Please make a backup of your (hasumi folder)/www/js/plugins.js before dropping the file from the Translated Plugin folder. Or you can do without.

Overall Progress:
UI: 100% done. Editing/proofreading required.
Story: Done! Editing/proofreading currently on Day 5. Considering restarting from Day 1.
Side Conversations: 100% done. Currently Proofreading/editing through Day 5. Considering restarting from Day 1.
Combat Events/Rape: >90% done.
Skills:100% done. Still require proofreading.
States: Done!
H-scenes: 29/38 done.
Masturbatation: Done. Editing/proofreading required.
Glossary: Key Terms (22/22), Enemies (42/42), Geology (0/19).

Update 18AUG:
Translated/proofread:
Final hypnosis guys H scene
Puppet Circus H scene
Tin Queen H scene

Update 02AUG:
Translated second hypnosis men H scene.
Fixed two instances of "Aquarius Eye" vice "Eye of Aquarius".
Fixed translation errors involing "Jukai", referring to Mt. Fuji's "sea of trees".
Finally translated sign in temple. This should mark everything (except for the glossary and H scenes having at least one pass).
Editing/proofreading through day one events.

Update 01AUG:
Finished translating the equipment UI.
Renamed some "Queen of Tin" to "Tin Queen".
Removed unneccessary plugins from the plugins.js file to fix crashing on start.
Translated Marco's Coriolis lecture (in day 5). All lectures translated!
Coriolis lecture requires proofreading.
Reviewed maps 101-167.
Completely retranslated the final ending scene.
Translated and proofread first hypnosis men scene.
Proofread/edited the harness bind release scenes.

Update 28JUL:
Finally discovered how to translate the glossary menu entries.
More fidling with the enemy entries.
Decreased the size of the text in the glossary from 22->20.

Update 26JUL:
Did some more proofreading/editing
All of Gotema East base should be translated (except for the New Year's poster in the Institute)
All tips are now translated
Removed the .trans file and placed in own .zip

Install Directions:

Requirements: You will require the full version of the latest version (1.2.5) for the translation to work.

1. Download the YYYYMMDD-Hasumi file.
2. Extract the contents to your Hasumi game folder. It will overwrite the files in your /www/data and /www/js/plugins.js files.
3. (Optional) Any YYYYMMDD-Hasumi(name) are minor updates that only change one or two files. Their contents also go in the (Hasumi game folder)\www\data folder.
4. (Optional) Download the .trans tranlation project file in the translation file.zip. This is not necessary unless you want to load the file into Translator++ and see the project.

Huh.

I thought more people would be interested in this with Hasumi 2 being worked on.

Anyway, the introduction is completely translated including most of the first H scene (which took about an hour alone). Some of the sound effects are untranslated for now. I definately have much more respect for translators.

I'm not going to promise a full translation, although that's my eventual goal.

Part of the next area (at the military base) has been translated as well.

Same. I'm just glad it's finally being worked on. Even the menus and items would be great to have. Items especially. Monsters, moves, and combat are probably the next biggest ones after that for me.

What a slog.

It's now translated up through the tutorial. Even some of Marco's exposition at your room in the Nautilus has been translated.

Updating earlier than usual. I also decided to bite the bullet and change the tag to more accurately reflect my goal of COMPLETE...GLOBAL....SATURATION...I mean, a full translation (although I'm already dreading Marco's exposition dumps.

Most of the Abandoned Mine first area is translated now.

I did some editing over previously done material as well.

Oh, also the first two hints (from the note pad) have been translated along with the first two enemy entries in the glossary and two background entries. Unfortunately, unlike every other file, the glossary entries don't change with the translated file; what you have when you get the entry seems to be written to the save file.

I've also translated about a dozen of Hasumi's lines from combat rape. There's...umm...quite a few of those.

I'm still trying to find where it's pulling the glossary from as I'm not finding the actual menu entries in the files.

As always the updated file is attached to the first post.

A surprise second update?

The translation is done up to before the coal mine boss.

Also, I'm an idiot and the glossary entries update fine with the new files. Speaking of, the first four enemies are included now.

I also finished the defeat scene for the skeleton. That was....umm...interesting.

1. l looking forward to this game it looks really good and I'm liking the progress your making.

2. I'm really glad l showed everyone Translator ++, l am by no means the creator of it but I'm just glad people are using it, giving it some attention and (in some cases) donating to the creator, this really is the only translator a found worth a look.

Another update.

Almost the entire 1st day is completed and the mandatory (and hilarious) conversation on the 2nd day is done too. Also some more glossary entries have been done.

I haven't touched the mineral lectures and Marco's/Hakuzuki's dialogues have no progress as well.

If you find anything in the coal mine, other than the mineral lectures, that are untranslated, please let me know.

I've started working through the memoirs room, but haven't gotten too far.

And, as I'm sure every wants to hear, all the defeated H-scenes for the 1st day enemies are done (except for Lava drakes, if anyone knows how to trigger them let me know, please). For sound effects I'm leaving them pretty much as is for now.

What's this madness?

Four updates in two days?

I probably won't keep this pace up forever, but let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Anyway, all the mandatory conversations to get to the ice cave in day 2 are done as well as the conversation inside. Some of the exposition is done, but I'm starting to curl into a ball whenever I come across a bunch of exposition. Even the H-scenes, which usually take me about 35 minutes-1.5 hours don't phase me that much.

The next two glossary entries for enemies are done as well as two more glossary entries.

Speaking of H-scenes, the Magician is done as well. As well as the first two tool scenes.

Oh, the Memoirs room and the storage on your PC for masturbation tools are translated. I did my best with the hints, so let me know if I'm wrong.

Two other changes to save my sanity: Extraterrestrial has been renamed to Stellar and "Eyes of Aquarius" is now just "Aquarius Eyes."

I'm going to cry if I see again. Too bad I'm going to see it alot.

Whew, another update.

I'm estimating that I'm currently about 1/3-1/2 through the ice cave. The first (only?) boss fight H-scene is translated. The Ghost's defeat scene is also done.

Two more enemy glossary entries are done and one more regular entry.

The ghost's combat rape should be completely translated and I also translated some more combat rape lines as well.

Okay, my last update for the weekend.

First, thanks for all the support.

On that note, please, please if you see something wrong, let me know. I just found a formatting issue with the Plus Formula item description. Oops.

First, every mandatory conversation in the 2nd day is done! Also Marco's exposition at the beginning of the 3rd day.

This means the boss for the ice cave/underground temple is done...along with his H scene and glossary entry. Also the H scenes for the possessed doll and the first mTune scene are done.

I cleaned up the skills for the ghost enemy and the Curseborne as well.

I also went through and translated all the item lines, so no matter where you are you'll know what you're picking up.

Wow, already up to the third area. That's a real breakneck pace. Just don't overdo it and burn out before you're done, because the fourth area (lab) is my favorite!

Speaking of which, I'll save you a bit of work. There are some text-heavy documents in the lab that I already asked what was said on them and someone else translated them. Post is here:

Thanks for the info Fenril. I, too, can't wait to get to the lab.

One reason I'm managed to go so fast is that I'm basically skipping most non-mandatory exposition. Plus I'm focused on pushing a "good enough" translation out and then going back to smooth it out later. I try to do a editing check of everything I do before I upload, but I miss a lot since I'm a one man show.

I'll update the glossary and sometimes for a change of pace I'll do some side stuff, but I'm focused on the story and the H scenes. It's kind of sad since I think I've spoiled the plot for myself :(.

Anyway, I'm really starting to hate going to new areas since it feels I spend my entire time translating the exposition.

I also had to stay late at work today.

Anyway, all the soldiers at Gotemba East are translated for day 3. The only H content I got to was that soldier in the barracks. I wanted to do the enemies in the swamp as well, but as I said, Marco just talks...and talks...

All mandatory conversations to actually get into the swamp are done. Yay.

I also fixed some untranslated character names. Oops.
