its not that i do not undestand the guy for give up. i myself had read some of the flaming he gets. but still all his work for nothing? in the end he doesnt even need to read ppl talking to him just work and release and sell. in the first place why he its so mad he its making a furry game for gods sake 70% of ppl who likes H are not into it. its obvious that flames will appear sooner or later and in bigger quantity. and for last see guys he even practically stated all your money became mine and il just shower on it for doing nothing anymore < sorry but thats how i took. thats why i say it dont donate or pay till its really released ppl like this appear a lot in recent years making frauds. well piss me off that my donation was for nothing since game would never be released. still i do hope the guy grow up at least a bit and stop his childish remarks and work properly. well having another way of live its also not bad. so good luck in whetever you do now friend

Perhaps 70% of the people who like H-stuff are not into furry. Fine. That still means 30% are. That's still a lot of people. Even if it were a much lower percentage, it'd still be a lot of people. I mean, have you seen the size of Inkbunny's community?

Lots of people aren't into bukkake, or diapers, or loads of other fetishes, yet you don't see this kind of vitriol being directed at Aika with TQ/DQ. And if you're raging about money, that's an example of a very successful Patreon which I suspect makes more per month that what Zeta took over ten years. The amount of money Zeta received is likely to be pretty insignificant, given what she's said, and the fact that Miles has to ask for donations to keep the site alive.

I honestly don't get why the furry community attracts so much hate, other than the normal explanation of insecure trolls who rage against absolutely anything they don't understand, and anyone who gives a reaction. Either that, or trolls who exist only to make the lives of women a misery. After all, Zeta is one of a very small number of adult game devs who openly identify themselves as female, and I would be lying if I didn't think this was a contributing factor.

If nothing else, it's a damned shame that a western adult game dev has felt the need to walk away from the scene because of harassment and toxicity.

God damnit.. Apparently the project will be put on a hiatus until the developers get some well needed rest. I never thought fucking internet trolls would have this much power, to end a project that's been going on for 10 years.. Really sad right now, I hope they will eventually get back to it.

EDIT: WHOOPS didn't see mod comment

Zeta has been keeping this project going for 10+ years. Updates, revisions, remakes, character additions, etc. There is no way she's going to give it up completely. Give the Zeta Team the rest they deserve, and I can guarantee they'll come back with a big surprise much later down the road.

This is really too much, after reading this stupid guy up there that I have to come here personally when I dont want to get involved anymore, but you really make my blood boil.
The game was NEVER made to make money, thats for the first.
The fans, was actually asking me if they was able to donate to me, call it the legacy of TP where I started to show my game or any other hentai devs who was working on games to get money, so, why not? If I do something I like and they like it also, I didnt see why they cant buy me a coffee, but I wasnt the one searching for money.
I have to remark again, that people donates, the ammount they wanted, when they wanted, my game never had a paywall in any momment, the game was always in development, if people donates or not, and I keep releasing my updates.
People always donated when I released a new updates, not before, also I always stated, that the donations are just a tip for what Ive done, not to force me to keep working on it, if someone liked what he/she found on the new update, they donated, simply as that, and it was always stated in the donations threads, if you or other people dont read, is not my fault.
I barelly took money from the donations for myself, most of them was for all the people who worked on the game and had economic troubles, the only time I took money, was to help me get a new graphic card I needed, and ALSO I advice that those donations will go for that, I never lied anyone.
Anyways I dont really know why I try to get people like you understand these things, probably you cant really understand too much as instead a brain you have squids that produces electric impulses.
For the rest of the normal people around, I hope you understand that this game never was for lucrative purposes, just the dream of a silly Sonic artist to have her OC in a videogame.
Have a good day.

Seriously, if they were looking to get moneys they wouldn't have made it with sonic characters. Using Sonic pretty much ensures they'd get Cease And Desist'd before making any real cash, and they can't sell the full game.

Anyway, Zeta! Go take a nap. Just come back eventually, okay? I'm really hype for Mewfertiti Casino.

You could easily ignore people like that that piss you off. It's not hard. "but my forums and discord and whatever else". Like, apart from posting any updates you wanted to post about the game itself, what's the point of having them? You shouldn't try to make a community around a single porn game, much less a Sonic one. I'm sorry all this happened to you and got to you as it did, but if you /ever/ want to create something and put it out to the public you're going to have to learn to deal with it and ignore it.

Not trying to be mean or rude, but that's just how it is. Take a breather and see how you feel about it. That's a lot of work done over the course of a long time to just throw away because people are rude on the internet.

Well, that's kind of sad to hear really. All the same, I completely understand why you're doing it. Even if the best advice and way to go about things is to generally ignore toxic behavior that has little basis outside of emotion/boredom, its not always that easy, especially when its obvious enough to be considered a vocal minority. The more you see something, the more irritating it can get, especially if somehow that false information actually manages to convert people to their way of thinking, simply feeding the chain of negativity whether something is done about it, or nothing is done about it. People can have their opinions, and that's well and fine, but to outright slander and act as if said opinions are fact, given what I've seen over the years, is something else entirely.

Regardless of whether you continue this project down the line any after the next release, let me just say that I have enjoyed what you've all managed to create GREATLY over the years... in fact I jumped on board near the release of the second stage from what I remember. Always been a fan of Sonic, never a huge fan of furry related content, but the sheer quality and passion in the project was obvious from the start, and to see the way things have grown and changed over the years within the game itself is worthy of praise in its own right... especially on an engine that, from my understanding, is pretty rigid to work with. Hell, the fact that I even consider replaying this game, and have done so as many times as I have is just sign that it's done something right, even for someone who generally might not be interested otherwise.

In the end to sum things up, Thank you for creating a game I've enjoyed over the years and always having given me something to look forward to, even if at times it took awhile to come out, it was always a great surprise to see the game be updated... like a mini holiday even. I hope you someday continue the project, but even if you don't, I still wish you, and the rest of the team from Project X the best in moving forward from this point. (y)

It would be such a damn shame to see such a fantastic game made with nothing but love be killed by trolls. Take all the rest you need Zeta.

If anything, 10 years is a long time to work on a single project. I'd say that's more of enough of a reason to take a break. And I'm well aware of all the unwarranted hate that furry communities get for no reason other than the fact that they are furry communities.

I've mostly been a lurker as wells as a follower of this project but one thing I've always said is that "if they say they're still working on it, they're still working on it." I've known that there's always been large gaps between each revision but they do eventually come out, despite how people always claim this is vaporware. But this time, I can't say the same since a hiatus is just that, and it's always hard to say that a project will be taken off a hiatus once one has been announced.

I'm a little sad about the news, but the only ones to blame for this are the trolls.

Like I said: it's excruciatingly easy to make half a game, not finish it, insist "donating on Patreon might make the game's development finish faster ;)" and then procrastinate indefinitely. A game that you develop & get donations for across 1 year is nothing compared to across 10 years. Never mind how easy it is to milk the furry community for money in general.

Trolls and bullies are the scapegoat. It's easy to blame them for the game's lack of progress. It only took a decade for people to truly accept what he was doing but I'm glad it's happening at all.
Well then allow me to respond in kind to one such troll who uses such easily refutable arguments. First off, Zeta is female, which is a good indicator of how little you actually know. Second, I'd like to see your mad skillz in making half a game with as much content and quality as this one. Third, most of the development time was done in Zeta's free time (same as those she worked with) and her story on how she's been spending time developing the game hasn't changed in years. And fourth, it's hard to "milk the community" via donations.

I don't have a Patreon, We never said that donations Will make the development finish faster, but indeed it gives us morale to work harder, you don't know anything about how many donations we got, so you're talking too much, and doing supositions that aren't true, I can't really know exactly the ammount of donations we got, but they don't reach 1000$, in ten years.
Yes, you're a troll, and you should hide in your cave, you have a big mouth for someone who never did anything for any community or pay a single cent to support anything.

I donated a few times if I remember correctly. Quite an amount one time too, I think it was 100€. But I didn't donate for faster progress, but simply to tip my hat, thank the team for their efforts and hoping they will continue to work on the game. Not faster, but that they keep going. And I believe the average game maker, be it artist or programmer or anything else, is thankful for a sign of appreciation for their work. Helps keeping their spirits high.

Well, unfortunately "Project X" is finally put to rest. But after years of working on it on everyone's free-time, with team members coming and going too probably, I was afraid it might come to this, rather than a full release. Still was a nice journey, and I thank everyone who worked on this game for putting hours of their lifetime into it. Go and rest your head Zeta, take a break, and when you have recovered from all this stress, go on in life and do what you like to do.

Best wishes to the former PX-team. Including Miles Kjeller, that hawt foxboy from ol' Scotland! :D
