In case anyone is stuck on opening the second barrier, you may need to clear the mountain dungeon's boss, then talk to lightning in her room, and then talk to the tent master in the second barrier.

I beat up the king of thieves in the mountain filled with rocks (still can't enter the second level area of that mountain) and escorted some guy from the starting city side of the forest to the capital, meet him at an inn, then escorted him...

Not a bug. Your AP consumed the 62 at the start of battle. If you had 10 vitality and went into a battle, you'd have only 10 AP and 0 Vitality in the fight.

Where is the Tiger Fang? The walkthrough skipped it, and I can't remember where it appears as a random enemy. It's one of the items to collect to get the best armor.
