So I'm currently stuck with the default avatar because no matter what I do, I get various errors whenever I try to set my avatar. I've tried using multiple browsers and get the same set of errors on each one, with the most common one being "image resize failed due to your image library not having support for this image type"

This is very frustrating, does anyone have any ideas?

Avatar image must be like 150 x 100, also unlike the old Ulmf the limit is probably like 90 kilobytes or 1 MB

It can use 400 x 400 but it's most likely a png or jpeg.

Tried a file under 90kb, no luck. 150x100, tried as JPEG GIF and PNG. Nothing works.

Same thing.
And I cannot add a picture in album.
Does anyone know what to do?

I have actually tried both. I get "that is not a valid image" or something when I try from a URL, so I gave up on that.

I get this no matter what image, no matter what size, no matter how much I resize or fiddle with it. GIF JPG PNG BMP all fail and give this message.

Jpegs are the hardest to fiddle with here cause of the update, also did you make sure to unchecked retrieve from local remotely thing.Cause that may be the problem.

As I've said already, I have tried every image format and got the same results. I do not know what "retrieve from local remotely thing" is, on the dialog box to upload an avatar there is no such checkbox.

My apologies I did some testing, it's under 19kb, I would suggest is to go to media make an image album and see what is accepted and what's not.

The reason that people like Zepheral have their avatars still cause they had them previously before the update.

Wish I could be of more help, but this is the best I can do.

Went into media, made a file under 19kb, used multiple file extensions, still get this every time. Very frustrating, maybe later after work I can figure this out. Hmm.

Damn you beat me to it, yeah it's under 19.5 kb, it's only 90 if you're doing a group photo thing. Let me test it with an avatar and see.

*Edit
Ok, Tested it, it has to be 100 x 100 or maybe more but it has to be converted by the site I linked.

Rip my old avatar, that's what I get for helping people..... XD

Use this, to see if it works. :p

Holy shit, that exact image indeed worked. So it has to be gif, exactly 100x100 and under 19.5kb? Damn.

After some experimentation I actually got a 137 kb gif to work. I guess 100 x 100 is what's important, and probably the file extension.

Yeah it has to 100 x 100 doesn't matter the size, I used less 1 MB on mine. Least we resolved the issue. :D

It seems you can't go past 1 MB, cause I was trying to use a 2MB gif

None of this stuff worked for me. Tried to set a 100x100 in gif / jpg / jpeg / png / bmp. Still won't upload. Same error messages. I hate this new forum.
